Went in during the lunch hour. Be careful during the lunch rush and other busy times when the staff feels rushed with lines out the door. The staff was great, but there was no attention to detail on allergens and cross contamination. Take your time with your orders. The manager was rushing everybody. She was clearly putting too much stress on her employees. I will not be going back until they start paying actual attenton to allergens. It was a nightmare for people like me with tree nut allergies. Pesto comes from pine nuts. Not sure the staff even knew that. It was tucked into a full paragraph with the other ingredients on the Panini. No asterisks or anything. There needs to be annotations and notes on the menus. And the staff needs better leadershis so they can stay on the ball. The bathroom situation was also a disaster. One room for the whole place in Dewitt, IA. The fruit bar dessert was excellent, but that’s my only compliment for how the place is managed.

Amazing, I had the soup (loaded baked potato) and the chic salad sandwich. Brewed ice tea is amazing too! This is a great business/all employees are super kind and willing to explain fan favorites, and anything that can be homemade is homemade. I literally wanted one of everything. Good prices too. For sure will be back!

Paid 7$ and waited a damn near an hour for a bowl of regular Kraft Mac and Cheese and a bowl of fruit with a hair in it just sitting on top in plain view. The server was a very nice person I feel bad she has at work at such an establishment. Would not recommend to eat here.

So cute. Good service. Phenomenal menu, items , ingredients & portions. Drove from Davenport & had lunch with my mom & baby & had the best time. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic food, atmosphere is perfect. You walk in order, and they make it right in front of you. Simple menu for lunch, that is exactly what I want to see for a lunch menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Tender, and very flavorful. I got to talk to owner and the Chef, Sam Voss. Very friendly and made me feel like I was at home. I will be back with my family for a weekend dinner to try the prime rib.

I really wanted to hate this place but I couldn't. By far the best sub sandwich I've ever had. I even had to get the dressing so I can try and make them at home. Wife said her salad was fantastic. All hand picked, local produce and meat. Homemade dressings and soups.

We stopped on our way through to Davenport and it was amazing!! The prices are great, fresh and portion sizes are incredible. I had the Cobb salad with the clam/crab soup. Husband had the chicken and dumpling soup with powerhouse salad. Wish I could give more then 5 stars!

The website and sign in the door says open until 2pm. However, as I opened the door at 1:30om, a staff member walked up and placed a closed sign directly in front of me. No eye contact. Nada. They couldn’t even manage a polite “sorry, we stop serving at X time.” If that’s any indication of their customer service, I’m not likely to stop there in the future. Poor customer service. And since you really close at 1:30pm, then that’s what you should put on your website, Google and your door.

The menu has plenty of options to choose from and each one is great. The setting and the ambience is also very nice and relaxing. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I've had quite a few lunches at this gem. The food is always outstanding with great service. I was pleasantly surprised with all of the space in the new location. During my most recent visit I ordered the baked potato with just the toppings I wanted and it was the best I've ever had.

We have enjoyed quite a few lunches at Urban Eats, and so thankful DeWitt has this gem. Urban Eats has successfully managed to create a bistro atmosphere with small-town familiarity and warm welcomes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, and daily specials ensure a variety of wonderful food choices. Service is prompt and servers check back often for drink refills or anything else you might want/need!

I ordered the Morrocan Chicken. While it was adequate for lunch, the plate has an "identity crisis". The plate was more Indian than Morrocan. Indian spice in a North African dish...lol I guess it meant for those that never tasted moorish food. If you ask me, I would not go there again!

Amazing food freshly made. Service is quick and well packed for to go meals. I always order a sandwich and one of the homemade soups.

We ate there yesterday and it was great. We had fish tacos their special that day. Best fish tacos I have had in quite sometime.

Fabulous lunch spot! Lots of vegetarian options with farm to table food. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Clean and nicely decorated restaurant.

We just had lunch here and I had a meatloaf sandwich, and let me tell you that was so delicious . My two coworkers had a picnic style lunch and they also enjoyed theirs very much. I'm not from Dewitt but rest assure when I am ever in town this will be the stop to go to. Thank you very much for an amazing lunch.

This is a great spot for lunch. The homemade soup was delicious. They changed the oriental shrimp salad to chicken for me.

An excellent restaurant that serves quality food. The service is also very friendly and helpful. I have eaten here three times and each time I was very satisfied. The salads are excellent, soups are very good, and the sandwiches are also very good. Each order is custom made and not some slop from the microwave or bag. 5 Stars - Excellent choice for a healthy meal is DeWitt, Iowa .

If you're looking for a great spot in DeWitt this is the place! Cool vibe and the food was excellent. The only thing that I would say was somewhat lacking was the apple pie that I got. It was cold (not just room temperature) as if it were just pulled out of the refrigerator and seemed to have a lot of corn syrup in the filling. Other than that I highly recommend this place!

This is quite a find in the middle of rural Iowa! I just enjoyed one of the finest Rueben's I've ever eaten. A very large helping of corned beef, topped by a generous amount of sauerkraut, and on marbled rye cooked on a panini maker - it was just fantastic. The fully loaded baked potato soup was a nice complement. The place has a tasteful and modern decor. I highly recommend it!

Always a wonderful lunch. I take customers here and am always get a great thank you for a great meal in Dewitt.

Went for lunch with a coworker on 11/23. I had been previously told next time I come in I should have a seat and I would be waited on. We sat and waited for menus, it was about 1140. We placed our order for soup and sandwiches. We waited while others around us who came in after got served. At 1210 we asked when our food would be out, she checked, said another ten minutes! we have an hour lunch! The waitress got rude asked if we wanted to cancel our order, after wasting our lunch hour! We asked for it to go, they charged us with no compensation or sincere apologies! I think she forgot to turn in our order! She had no compassion, no manager came out. I love their food but this just killed it for me! That hour lunch is my relaxing time, and they ruined it!

This is exactly what this small community needs. They offer lunch, dinner, snacks, bakery items and more! Their website is not quite up and running yet but they are very active on their facebook page. I cannot wait to take the whole family in here.

This spot is a real treasure. It is clean, the food is very fresh, wonderful soups, salads and sandwiches. The service was prompt and just the right amount of attentive! The prices were reasonable as well. I live out of town but I will be back as often as I can!

Excellent. A short distance to great food and fast service. Friday night prime rib was flavorful, with a crusty dry-rub edge and just enough fat to melt in your mouth. Baked potato with the regular toppings but taken to a new level with all types of options. A fresh salad with heirloom tomatoes and house dressing. Butter not margarine or some other chemical spread masquerading as real. Plus a heirllom tomato side dish. Presentation was great. Washed it down with complimentery fruit-infused water. Also BYOB. A case of desserts offered lots of choices beyond cheesecake, including cupcakes.

We had tried the sandwiches before, and they were wonderful. Tonight we ordered the prime rib. The meal was delicious with generous portions of prime, grilled vegetables, baked potato and salad. The difference is in the details like the killer horseradish sauce; don't miss it. Looking forward to leftover prime rib lunch.

Pleasantly Surprised to find this menu and quality of food. I like cafe's just fine, but this was a very nice upgrade from what we were expecting to find.

Food is fresh and well made. We had the Greek salad and the wedge salad. They were very good. The staff was very helpful and kind. On a diet or would have had something sweet, they looked fabulous! Only thing missing was wine.

We arrived at 6:30 PM. There were a few tables filled and one customer finishing their order at the register. You order at the counter and then move to the register to pay. One woman had a to-go order. Our friends ordered and got their food immediately. They sat down and the to-go lady stepped ahead of us. She proceeded to take every container out of her three to-go bags and check each container. She then made several requests for extra items. Requesting each item separately. All the while our food sat there getting cold. The counter girl seemed flustered and had very little idea what she was doing. By the time she walked s-l-o-w-l-y back to the kitchen and back to the to-go customer several times, we had waited at least 10-15 minutes. When it was our turn to pay the counter girl had to ask us what we ordered. Our food was sitting right in front of her. The food was delicious. I would go there again, but their ordering and paying process needs work. Perhaps a separate line for to-go customers. Also the plexiglass shield where you order is so high and communication with the person taking your order is difficult, you have to shout so she can hear you. Perhaps there should be a separate line for to-go orders.

So glad that DeWitt finally has a restaurant with high quality food. Desperately needed! Great food, great deserts and a great atmosphere!
