Where to Eat and Drink Around Merrifield

"This addition to Mosaic District offers all-you-can-eat hot pot for $19.99 at lunch and $29.99 at dinner. There’s a 90-minute time limit per table, but customers can order as many broths as they want and as many refills of a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable components. There’s a fun sauce bar with tons of options and suggested combinations to visit, too. Make sure that lamb, lotus root, rice cakes, marinated shrimp, and enoki mushrooms are among the picks." - Missy Frederick

Love Urban Hot Pot. For approximately $35/person for all you can eat dinner (and I think roughly $25/ person for lunch), can't beat that price! Service is okay... you don't really interact with staff except for being sat, staff who bring the food out, and getting your check. But with AYCE, that's kinda understood, else, they'd be running crazily around the restaurant. After visiting the sauce bar, where there are recipes for popular sauces (or choose your own adventure and build your own), dinner consisted of 6 friends sitting around the table, each with their own pots that ranged in spice level, as well as one gluten free (which is great the Urban Hot Pot has those options). It was family style when it came to the noodles and meats and vegetables. All in the middle and everyone grabbed what they want. It's worth at least just giving it a try, especially for the price! But make sure your entire part arrives around the same time to be sat!

First time trying this hot pot. We’ve been to numerous similar places all over US and this one was the worst. The food was mediocre ie tasteless and very small portions. So we had to keep ordering which took away from enjoying the food. We thought it was the broth at first but even the meats and seafood didn’t have much flavour, though cooked in the broth. Also all the utensils by the sauce bar were sticky & there were some white bowls that were all sticky too. We had to pay $17 for 1 bowl of rice for our 6 yr old kid, which was annoying. Don’t think we’ll go there again as there are many other better options in the area.

Amazing hot-pot buffet! Great selection of meat, seafood, and other unique foods. If you are paying for dinner, then there are some special dishes you can try. There are some cooked foods you can try like saliva chicken, or garlic shrimp. There are a lot of hot-pot bases you can try. Also, if you’re trying to go during dinner time, I suggest making a reservation unless you don’t mind waiting 30 minutes to an hour. There is also a 90 minute dining limit which wasn’t that big of a deal. Overall, the 30+ dollars you spend are worth it.

One of my favorite places to get hotpot! Great selection and meat is good quality; slightly better than the Rockville location. Food came out fast even when it was busy^^

Google
It was an interesting restaurant. You order a soup stock, meat, seafood and veggies on the tablet as many as you want within 90min. They have many dipping sauces as well which is a very nice addition as you can make your own. You do all the cooking at your table in your own hotpot which is really nice as you can potentially have several different flavors at one time. We got both healthy herbal and hot spice soup stock. They have a revolving counter like sushi restaurants but they did not use it when we went there which might be because there was no sushi being ordered or it is for dinner use only. The meat we ordered was a little hard which might be because they are frozen when they are cut to make the thin slices easier. All the vegetables were very fresh, but you come here for the meats. Drinks and desserts are delivered by a robot, who seem to have a bad day saying "I am leaving now" but he works hard so we cannot say he is a bad server. The other servers were very fast and friendly keeping the restaurant very clean and tidy so you don't have hundreds of plates sitting on your table. Each dish is small so you can try a lot of different types of meat and vegetables which is a huge plus. The concept of the restaurant is unique and entertaining and we recommend going there to see for yourself.

Google
Urban Hot Pot in the Mosaic District provided a unique and engaging dining experience centered around customizable hot pot. This local spot offers a modern and interactive way to enjoy a communal meal. The atmosphere was lively and filled with the sounds of simmering broths. The concept is straightforward: you select your broth, protein, vegetables, and noodles, which are then cooked at your table in a shared or individual pot. I chose the Spicy Mala broth, which offered a pleasant heat and numbing sensation. The selection of fresh ingredients was extensive, allowing for a personalized and varied meal. The quality of the meats and vegetables was noticeable. The service at Urban Hot Pot was attentive and helpful, especially for those new to the hot pot experience. Our server guided us through the process and offered suggestions for pairings. The interactive nature of the meal made it a fun and engaging experience. Overall, Urban Hot Pot in the Mosaic District offers a distinctive and enjoyable dining adventure. It’s a great place for sharing a meal with friends or family, with the ability to customize your hot pot to your exact preferences. The fresh ingredients and engaging format make it a worthwhile visit.

Opinion: Not worth the money and time unfortunately. *Waitresses kept taking plates that had food on it that we were currently eating. *It took a while to get someone to help us after being seated. *The best thing was the robot brining us more water. Cute. *Also it you have a party of up to five people there's a surcharge or gratuity on your check even though the waitress and waiters don't really tend to you, they do more of a drive by drop off and run off.

Google
The experience was not as good as expected. Although it’s all you can eat, the order management system was chaotic that several of our ordered items were missing, and it sometimes took a very long time for the ordered items to be served. Also, the sauce area was constantly messy with multiple items out of stock, but there’s no refill from the staff during our 1.5hrs dining. The food quality was just okay, not fantastic. Overall, I might not consider coming back.

Yelp
Have a really great time here. You order the food on the iPad so no need to wait for the server to come around. 5/5 for the food. Everything was fresh and clean. The soup base was super tasty and not water down. I got Tom Yum and my bf got the Original soup. The coconut Sago desert is super light and refreshing after a big meal. 5/5 for customer service, the server make sure we know how to order before leaving. Fast service after we put in the food order but also come back multiple times to check if everything is ok. This is my top hotspot place in NOVA so far and I have tried majority of other hotspot place. Will definitely come back with my family.

Yelp
My friend got baptized this past Sunday so we celebrated afterwards at Urban Hot Pot! We had a party of 8 and sat at the booth for 8 (four on each side). It was actually really uncomfortable (more so than inconvenient) to slide in and out, so I would recommend avoiding this seating arrangement if you can. Other than that, Urban Hot Pot was great! In the DMV, this is probably my top 2 favorite AYCE hot pots to go to. We paid $34.99 per person for the dinner/weekend pricing, which included the premium meats and options like ribeye and crab. Immediately after we sat down, we ordered our broth (each person gets a personal-sized pot) using the tablet at each table and went to the sauce buffet to create our own sauces. Lots of options to make it sweet, savory, spicy, acidic, or all the above. We got our food within 2-5 minutes after placing an order, so the service is fast to make sure we maximize the 90 minute time limit we had to eat. The broths and the first batch of ingredients arrived before most people finished making their sauce. I will say, it gets pretty hectic when ordering. We had one person ordering off the iPad making suggestions and seven people screaming "yes/no" all at once. I got the ORIGINAL SOUP broth, which is a pork soup base. It was creamy and savory, and only got better as I piled on the veggies and meats. They have so many options -- I didn't feel like they were missing anything I usually would like for hot pot. From the vegetables, I enjoyed the baby bok choy, napa, taro, and enoki mushroom. From the meats (land animals), I enjoyed the ribeye steak the most because it was much less fatty than the sliced US beef option, which was... too much. I put a few of those in and my entire broth turned into fat and no longer drinkable. The lamb was good, too. From the seafood section, I really enjoyed the fish filet -- I wish I ate less of the beef/lamb and more of the fish, which was tender and soft, soaking up the flavors of the broth. Lastly, our table got lots of fish tofu and quail eggs (and I mean like 20+ orders) which were all great. The lobster ball was pretty good, but not my favorite. Overall, we ate incredibly well and were very full. I tapped out after an hour since we did very little talking and shoveled food in our mouths the whole time. I had a great experience at Urban Hot Pot, I would definitely come back if I want AYCE hot pot in the future.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on the weekend. The amount of food you can order and eat in 90 mins makes this place worth the $35 cost for ACYE (all you can eat). We also came on the weekend so the premium option was included, but i believe you have to pay extra for that option on the week day. We just got a bunch of meat, veggies, meat, shrooms, meat, fish balls, and dare i say... more meat. There is a variety of soup base you can pick and a sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce. Service was quick and fast. We sat near the conveyer belt, which rotates a variety of items. But typically, you order what you want through the iPad and they bring it out to you super quickly. Sometimes they will use the robot as well to deliver some items. Definitely ate our fill. Place had plenty do tables and everyone gets their own mini hot pot so that was cute. This location was at the Mosaic so you can park along the street if you are lucky or find a spot in the garage. Place is worth checking out

Yelp
I've been here many times and it's a solid location. I wish they made use of the old conveyer belt more but I like their speed and iPad ordering system. The staff are always pleasant. I would like more fatty beef cuts. However, they have a great beef tongue, larger dumplings. A great sauce bar and fantastic sage desserts.

Yelp
Oh my gosh I love this place. The food is all amazing and I love that it's all you can eat (well in 90 min) and is a good price. I don't think I've had anything bad there the few times I've gone with friends. I love that you can order from the tablet at the table when you want and that you can create your own sauces at their sauce bar. The staff is always really nice and the restaurant itself is cozy. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My faaave hot pot place in the area! The tablet is super easy to use and convenient and the ambiance is lovely. Lots of great meat and veggie options! We always come here after a long weekend at a convention, I think it's gonna be a new tradition lol :)

Yelp
This all you can eat hot pot is definitely a top favorite of mine in the area. The various broths are flavorful and they have a great sauce bar. The meat and veggie options are great and you order through an iPad which makes it very convenient. Staff and restaurant are also delightful, making it an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Alrighty another update: Food: We love the food we really do! Selection is great! Dessert tops it off well Service: We were not given a last call notice and when the host came by -- she just apologized and didn't even offer to make an exception for us to place our last orders in. Secondly, the punch-cards that were given to us after the incident of denying us entry before the close time, were no longer valid and apparently that promotion was cancelled. It would've been nice as an apology for last time to get something even worth while coming back. I just can't, with good heart recommend, coming later in the day anymore. We've been loyal customers for over 2 years now but this might end. Truly a disappointing experience to what this place could really be...

Yelp
I love eating hotpot and this spot is in my top 3. They are a more modernized take on hotpot with an all-you-can-eat personal hotpot rather than one big family style. Great sauce bar with a good amount of different options to make your own custom dipping sauce. Ordering is done on an iPad/tablet which makes it very convenient to order more items or call for service while you eat. If you are coming here really hungry during dinner time, make sure to put in a reservation. Even on weekdays they seem to be a bit busy. My only complaint would probably be on seating areas. Especially with larger parties the booth-like seatings are hard to get in and out of especially if you're seated against the wall. The two people seating is much more comfortable and there is a conveyor belt in the middle of the store circling out different menu items while you eat so you can just grab from your seat.

Yelp
My favorite spot in NOVA for hot pot hands down. I always leave here satisfied by the food. It does get very busy during weekends/evenings and this place doesn't take reservations. So be prepared to wait. It's AYCE for $35/person for dinner. You order on the ipad and the food comes out quick! There's also a conveyor belt that has food items to grab. I love their sauce bar with lots of homemade or build your own concoctions. I also ALWAYS get the tom yum broth every time and it always hits. Service is hit or miss. You would most likely not have much interaction with staff bc everything is done through the ipad. They do come by often to clear plates though. I have noticed that portions are a lot less this last time i have visited. For example; i placed 2 orders of head on shrimps and a total of 3 shrimps came out... I understand the need to stop food waste but FYI.

Yelp
I love Urban Hot Pot! the food is always fresh starting with the broth is great, the vegetable, meat and seafood selection feels endless... and the service is always friendly and on point. my husband and I go for date night at least 3x a month. GOOD STUFF!

Yelp
Self service most of the time with the iPad. Server didn't really help much. The food here is good. But the sauce bar can improve a little. I love their small portions every time cause it does help not to waste food. Soup base was good. Got original and miso. Both were good. Love that their small pots are also split in two soup base. I'd come back cause it's my sisters favorite place.

Yelp
the wait was about 20 mins on a saturday night. the broth selection here is amazing. this was my first time trying chinese broth for hot pot and i was pleasantly surprised. there is a convey belt with popular sides rotating at all times. the quality of the meat was good and the vegetables were all fresh. the food was great and fairly priced. the inside was clean and service was good.
google avatar

Yelp
I like this hot pot place cuz you get your own individual pot. However the soup broth was not flavorful enough. When you have a good hot pot you don't need extra sauce. This place I actually had to make my own sauce. The best broth was probably the Malaysian one with curry. Service was also ok. Our sever kept on bringing our stuff without explaining what it was so we were clueless if there was still something in the kitchen waiting to come out. Lots of tables. Parking is a pain in the mosaic. Was more selection, some good some meh. Dessert was ok as you can see the pics. Robo server came only once

Yelp
I have come to this location a couple of times now. The last time I went was by far the best experience I've had. Make sure you call ahead or join the waitlist online since they get really busy for the dinner time. You get an iPad where you order all your food and drinks from and then the staff delivers them to your table. The booths are big and spacious and the restaurant is always clean. They have separate items available only during the dinner time, such as the spicy crawfish which were the highlight of the meal. Their meats and vegetables are always fresh as well. They got everything from brisket, pork belly, fish, to tendon and so much more. Their selection of sauces is pretty standard. They even have a couple of desserts available. For an all you can eat hot pot, the price is not too bad and the quality is good.

Yelp
Tucked in Mosaic, Urban Hot Pot is an all-you-can-eat spot perfect for two or four! My best friend and I were in the area thrift shopping and were looking for a dinner spot. Having heard of their $34.99 all inclusive hot pot deal, we were both excited to try it out. We were seated very quickly and got right to ordering. You essentially use the iPad menu to order all soup bases, meats, vegetables, and beverages. Not to mention, there is also dessert, tea, and lemon water included in the deal - great additions! I went with the split pot of half Mala Spice and Herbal stews. I personally love my hotpot to be spicy, so I was not disappointed with my choices. My friend and I got to ordering all of our favorite cuts of beef, lamb, tofu, vegetables (including corn - pairs so well with the Mala broth), chicken dumplings, and a standout favorite, marinated shrimp! For all the sauce lovers out there, there is a sauce bar to create your favorite concoctions! I stuck to getting ginger and green onions to liven up my broths. We truly savored each bite and had so much fun with new menu item we incorporated into our individual pots. For dessert, I tried their fruit, ice cream cup, and coconut cake - a great way to finish off the meal. We ensured no food went to waste and left the restaurant with a full stomach and smiles all around! The service was speedy, clean, and friendly. I especially appreciated how the staff was kind and attentive each time they visited our table with new items. It was a busy night, but that did not prevent them from providing excellent customer service. Will 100% be back again!

Ken T.

Yelp
The food is OK. The broth is better at other places (ie., O My Hotpot in Annandale). The price is a bit high. My 5yo was charged 50% of the adults. He barely ate anything. The worst part was the service. They only allowed 90 minutes to eat. Which would be OK except the food was brought out 15 minutes after ordered and they ended our time 15 minutes earlier. After requesting for some additional deserts for our kids, the guy came up and said "you're not allowed to order anymore after this". It wasn't so much of what he said but how he said it. And the entire staff want that friendly either. I wanted to take my family out for a nice meal. Paid $300. And was treated like we were begging for food. I'll never come back here again and neither will I recommend it to anyone else.

Tia K.

Yelp
The servers is very passive when they are cleaning up the tables, slamming dishes. Very uncomfortable, if you go there bring your AirPod and put your music on if you don't want to experience the slamming dishes.

Yelp
Urban Hot Pot is my favorite hotpot in the area at least without going to MD. I'd gone to their MD location once and was happy that they opened a VA branch, in Mosaic no less. There is a parking garage closer to Urban Hot Pot where the Barnes and Noble is but you'll realistically be more likely to park by Target and you can justify the walk as furthering your appetite to get your money's worth and extra walking to burn off some calories after. Service is always on point since you can order from the iPad easily and the food/drink come out fast yet when you need a person, they're always attentive and helpful as well. Given it's all you can eat, the broth, veggie, and meat/protein selections are good and I find myself having enough variety while definitely sticking closer to my favorites. The selection at the sauce station doesn't necessarily stand out but they always have the stuff I need and that area is organized nicely and cleanly. I like the darker but more intimate atmosphere of the restaurant a lot, although the layout is a little weird in terms of having to navigate to the bathroom, since it's not an open layout. I have recommended this spot to several friends for hotpot ever since Urban Hot Pot opened their Mosaic branch, especially since I'm not usually trying to go to MD. I've been back many times and intend to return in the future and while it's still colder, it feels even more appropriate to have hotpot with friends.

Yelp
Scale from 7/10 First time here and didn't like the parking situation too much but that's just me. There are plenty of parking garages and just take a little walk to get there. Once we arrive at the restaurant, took them 10 minutes to sit us so it is not bad at all. They have their own sauce bar like every hot pot place but their bar sauce is quite small. Service is amazingly fast and friendly staff. We were seated at a table for 6 so lots of room but we manage to order enough food to fill the table. There is a 90 minutes limit to how long you can eat though so keep that in mind. I got the tom yum soup which is not my favorite tom yum at all hot pot place but it's doable. There's a little ipad where you can place order and ask for service so you technically don't even have to talk to anyone which the little introvert in me love! I love all the meat and seafood choices and especially love their dessert choices. Over all, this is a place where I deff would come back to because of their service.

Susie L.

Yelp
Food is good, and we are aware of the 90 mins limit. However, the guy came by and told us 90 mins is up. He checked us out on spot and told us to leave within 10 mins while there are plenty of tables available. We asked for desert and he brought them with an attitude. Mind him, we tipped him 20 percent just to get treated like that. I am not coming back because of this poor service.

Yelp
The quality of the seafood and the variety of selections are better than other hot pot restaurants.I think the price is fair enough for the selections that they offer tho!

Yelp
Quality meats, great sauce options, options for vegetarian and meat eaters, service is always good.

Yelp
Girls night out celebrating a birthday, such a great spot for a group! We each had our own meal, picking from what everyone ordered together and then we easily split the check. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I loved that I could trade ingredients and pass them around, family style. The mung bean vermicelli noodles were perfect and the sauces they offered offered my combinations the right amount of heat and salt. The ambience was perfect and we had a blast!
google avatar

Yelp
I will eat here until i am STUFFED! the service is incredible and quick, no matter how busy it gets. very friendly vibes. you can order off the ipad which helps with deciding what you want to get at your own pace and not super overwhelming for the staff. they also have robots to help out which is really neat. this is my go to hot pot place!

Yelp
TL;DR: great hot-pot, variety of menu options, good value I am no expert when it comes to hotpot. Had a bad experience over 10 years ago, and kind of wrote it off. I recently went to a hotpot place, and I didn't hate it. Came here for lunch on a Saturday, and this place has fully converted me. AMBIANCE: The interior is darker and modern, giving date night vibes. We got there around 5PM and there was a 30-60 minutes wait. Luckily, this spot is in Mosaic, so you can leave your phone number with them and find plenty of things to kill the time. Then they'll text you when your table is ready. SERVICE: Service was super friendly and explained everything as soon as you're seated. You order everything off the kiosk, even asking for the check or drink refills. 90 minute dine in time limit. ~$35 for AYCE, great value imo! When you order, everything comes out pretty quickly. The beef/meats are the ones that take the longest to come out (comparatively to everything else). I would say at the longest, we waited 5 minutes tops for meat. Seafood, veggies, sides come out in approximately 2 minutes. FOOD: They have a self-serve sauce bar for you to grab sauce dishes with your preferred sauces. Mix them, use them individually, put it into the stock soup, eat it on the side, whatever you want to do! Each person has their own stove top and soup pot, so heaven for a germaphobe like me who doesn't like to share. ~Pork Broth: this is their standard base options, and man it was so good! ~They have lots of broth/soup base options like Mala, Spicy Kimchi, Pork, Seafood, etc. ~Meats were all tasty and cook quickly in boiling soup ~Seafood quality was actually really good and fun Definitely coming back here!

Yelp
Lots of very good food! Quick and friendly service. If you are a first timer, they take the time to explain the process.

Yelp
This isn't just going to dinner, it is a food experience. On weekends and holidays they have all you can eat hot pot. For those like me that had never done this, hot pot is when they bring you a pot of broth that sits at a burner on your table and you order meats, vegetables, noodles, and a bunch of other stuff to cook in the broth. It is $35 a person but definitely worth it for a special occasion. You order from an ipad at your table and you can order continuously as you think about what you want. I suggest you order the broth right away so it can start heating up on the table while you dig through the rest of the choices. Miso broth was our groups favorite but everyone can get their own. Wait staff or adorable robots bring you your orders. Their were 5 of us so somebody was always hitting a new item to request from the kitchen. Next time we go we're going to order most of it right away to make the table look like Odin's feast. They have a sauce bar too but cooking in the miso was so tasty i got sauce but didn't use it. Favorites at the table were the cucumbers, pork dumplings, lobster balls, Australian beef, pork rolls, octopus, and the many varieties of mushrooms. We didn't waste any stomach space on noodles or rice but i assume it would be as tasty as everything else. Desserts are available too but we were stuffed by the end. There is a 90 min time limit to keep things moving and the time flew by but was also plenty of time to eat. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great location to have hot pot in the busy plaza of Mosaic - however... Dining area has any other type of booths and no particular note about their ambiance really. I did think the conveyer belt is cool but I don't think it's good since all the items are out without covers (for sanitary and food safety reasons). Overall, your average hot pot place with the soup flavors, sauces, and choices for veggies. They do have a decent variety of meat options but no scallops though Service is not special at all - in fact almost everything is self serve and we did have to ask a couple of times for ice + cups. Overall, 7/10 - good place to go to for hot pot due to the prime location but only for that convenience.

Yelp
This is about my 4th time here but this time the broth tastes watered down and not flavorful as it was before. I always get the butter mala regular spice and this time it was disappointing. Everything else is good and fresh and the sauce bar is one of the best. The angus beef was fairly thick as well. Some may like this but i didnt prefer it.

Yelp
My favorite local hot pot spot, $34.99 fixed price dinner and $24.99 for lunch for a galore and veggies, meats, noodles, and broths to choose - truly a vegetarian paradise and a meat lover's dream! I preferred Urban Hot Pot to Gom Shabu Shabu in Annandale. Aside from not having dinner specials available (which I believe are a surcharge), there's no difference between and lunch and dinner options. My friends and I ordered a feast with over 20 dishes and we conquered most of the spread! It was so good that I took hubby a couple of weeks later! Over the weekend the conveyor belt is on, so you can grab dishes from it (it's turned off during lunch during the weekdays). There's a cute little robot that patrols around collecting some dishes. Great sauce station! The sesame and peanut sauce with mild kick with a heap of condiment and toppings - the garlic, scallions, sesame seeds were my pick! Of the dozen broths to choose from, I'm glad I got the Veggie Broth. It was surprisingly flavorful and not the standard salty soy or miso base. It came with corn and a few other veggies. The Mushroo Broth was fun to try and came with a couple of types of mushroom, but preferred the Veggie Broth. There's a galore of veggies: enoki mushroom, taro, chinese yam, oyster mushroom, black fungus, rice cake, fried tofu, firm tofu, baby bok choy, bok choy, broccoli, lotus root, pumpkin, seaweed knots, etc. There's a variety of seafood, crab meat, fish, beef, pork belly, to choose from. I enjoyed all of the veggies aside from the seaweed know and the lotus roots. Of the noodles that I tried: Instant, Vegetable, and Udon - the Udon noodles were my favorite! Glad we made a reservation for 5, otherwise we would have waited 1.5+ hours! There's a strict 15 min rule for your full party to arrive for the reservation. Highly recommend making a reservation! Note there is 20% food waste fee, only if you go overboard and order a bunch of food that you don't eat. If you leave a little bit of food on the table, it's fine. I'm glad the restaurant has this rule to deter people from taking advantage of the unlimited food. Glad this location opened up in Mosaic and it's a small growing chain in Chesapeake (new), Rockville, and Columbia. Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
I've passed by this restaurant a few times in the Mosaic, so I finally took the chance to give it a try! We went here on a Friday evening around 6 p.m. and there was a one-hour wait. It is a popular restaurant so keep that in mind when you are thinking about when you want to go. We were really pleased with our experience. The menu has so many items to try, which includes alot of meats, seafood, and veggies. I also loved the options for the different flavored broths. There is also a cute conveyor belt and robot that brings you food items. You order everything on an iPad which is an introvert's dream experience. We were so stuffed when we left. I absolutely plan to return!

Yelp
Nice place to hang out with friends. There is a time limit that they're pretty strict about, but they allow reservations now so at least you can get a spot when you come. Don't try to go on the weekend without a reservation it's a 1.5 hour wait. The food was good and the quality of the meat and vegetables was fresh. The broth is very plain so you can change the flavor level to what you want at the spice station. Overall I liked it. The servers were working pretty hard and couldn't really stop to answer questions, so if you don't know how things work or how to order you should ask someone before being seated.

Yelp
The ambiance was great! It was not too loud to the point where I could not have a conversation at the table. The service was great. Except for the crawfish, everything else I ordered came out shortly after being placed. The portion size was fair and so was the price! The staff were super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is pretty strict on the 90 minute rule. I will be back!

Yelp
This is our go to spot for hot pot. It's become a regular event in my friends circle. We play pickleball and then go this place for great Korean hot pot. Our favorite time is during their lunch special unless one of friends who works in the military joins us then we don't have to worry about the specials as they offer military discounts. My favorite broth is their regular pork broth. I don't prefer the spicy version as I can make my own spicy side sauce. We then order a bunch of great meats from brisket, to seafood. Lots of different meats, veggies and eggs. I love the ramen noodle as my go to. It takes us about 2 hours to savor their delicious food. I think they have a 2 hour time limit. Please note that they have extra charges for leftovers. $20 per person extra. I recommend bringing a Tupperware with you in case you have leftovers. They don't offer leftovers containers. Ambiance is great. They have a robot that serves deserts. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Urban Hot Pot is a fun and flavorful experience from start to finish. The food was excellent--fresh, well-prepared, and with tons of variety. One of the best parts is having your own personal broth, so everyone at the table can customize their hot pot exactly how they like it. The service was perfect. Staff was attentive, efficient, and friendly. Every need was taken care of quickly, and the little service robots were a fun and unique touch that added to the experience. The atmosphere is lively and comfortable. The music sets a good vibe without being too loud, and the whole space feels clean, modern, and welcoming. Urban Hot Pot is the kind of place that's great for a night out with friends or a fun, casual date. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I was given the recommendation to try our Urban Hot Pot from a colleague and since I was meeting a friend for dinner, I offered it as a suggestion. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was busy, but not crowded, so we were able to get a seat right away without a wait. The server explained the ordering and we were on our way. Ordering is via iPad and you can also snag items off a conveyor belt. Drinks came fast and we went to the sauce bar while we waited for our first round of items. The first round came out and was relatively accurate. Since it's all-you-can-eat, it's not too concerning if items don't come. What's nice is the portion sizes aren't too large or too small, so you can try a number of things. We placed multiple orders, though we lost our momentum as time went on. Even as I was getting full, the conveyor belt tempted me at the end with a couple of things. It's a nice experience. There is a 90 minute time limit, though we didn't quite notice if we hit it or not. Prices aren't too bad considering you can get seafood items.

Yelp
My favorite hotpot restaurant!! I love going here when I crave hotpot. I usually go during their lunch deal, $25 per person. You order food through IPad which speeds up the ordering process. Offer large variety of soup broth. Totally worth the price with the great quality of meat, sea food and vegetables you're getting. Offer free dessert. Sauce bar is CLEAN unlike most places. Staff is very welcoming and service comes quick. Food comes very quick.

Yelp
This was my first hot pot experience and I will definitely be returning! It was amazing! I loved that you get your own pot and can personalize it however you would best enjoy your dish and can cater to your personal dietary restrictions (if you have any). The only downside here is that there are not many vegetarian broth options - even their miso base unfortunately has meat :( thankfully you have a ton of spices and sauce options to elevate the soup, all of which are vegetarian but just something to keep in mind! There is an iPad at the table where you can order whatever meats, veggies, noodles, etc that you'd like and it comes very fast! If you sit in the middle section there is a conveyer belt with some items that will rotate through so you don't have to put your order in the iPad. It is all you can eat for a 90 minute limit which I honestly thought was the perfect amount. Highly recommend! About parking - there are some parking garages nearby and sometimes there is street parking available near the restaurant if you get lucky.

Yelp
My first time here and super hyped by the ambiance and smell. This is a hot pot with AYCE items. They have a simple ordering system through the iPad for everything. There is also a revolving conveyor belt with items in case anything peaks your interest. I have been to other locations and love how there is one in this area. I ordered the herbal pot as a soup base since its getting colder outside. I definitely would say the base is on the saltier side of things. It flavored my food a little too much! Other than that everything was super fresh. If you give this place a try, make sure to try the crown daisy and new zealand mussels and also the fish roe balls and fuzhou fish balls! I enjoyed my experience and will come back soon!

Yelp
Came here on Sunday before Memorial Day around 8:30pm and it was not crowded and we were seated right away. We were very excited to try urban hot pot with the AYCE after coming back from cheasapeake beach. At first, we were greeted and the servers were polite as they seated us. We soon ordered and got our broths for cooking out individual hot pot. Most of the dinner went well until towards 10pm. The staff started cleaning while we were eating. I got food swept towards my feet and one of the staff leaned over us and reached with gloves used to clean other tables for our empty dishes while we had open desserts that were not going to be cooked. It didn't feel sanitary. The front server that was getting our check was patient though so I was impressed with her attitude when my partner gave her feedbacks

Yelp
We enjoy coming to Urban Hot Pot. It's all you can eat. The wait for a table is never that bad. Note: they ask you to limit your visit to 90 minutes, which really is enough time to enjoy a full and leisurely meal. A wide array of seafoods and meats available. I usually stick with the lamb. There's all sorts of vegetables you can add to your broth. You place your orders on an iPad and they are brought out by staff. If you are fortunate enough to be seated at one of the inner tables next to the revolving belt, you can pluck non-meat options directly from the belt. There's also a cute li'l robot that will bring out your drinks. The burners in your table that you heat your broth on and cook your vegetables in are a little finicky and never seem to work consistently as to how you adjust the heat level. Love the condiments bar, and I have an affinity for their house sauce. Two things here could be improved. Firstly, if you don't like to freeze, bring a jacket or sweater. It's always cold in here. The other thing is their inconsistency in having vanilla ice cream available as a dessert. It seems to be available only about half the time. But in the big scheme of things, that is minor. We certainly will be back.

Yelp
Love this place! The service and food is GREAT! Although had some issues with cleanliness otherwise would be five stars. We came to dine on a Friday for dinner around 5 and from the yelp live waitlist view there was no wait, but we joined the queue anyways. We were running late for the original time and when we arrived decided to not mention our previous waitlist reservation but the front reception made sure to ask if we had any previous reservations and they actually still had the table for us! Awesome! Once we were seated, the staff made sure to show us how to use the ipad to order items since it was our first time there. The sauce bar had a great selection of sauces and there are also suggestions on the wall in case you're a but lost on what to do. Loved that you order from the ipad and the food was brought out very quickly! I also LOVE that they bring out just a tiny portion for each thing we ordered so that we have room to try a little of everything. I've experienced where other AYCE restaurants take forever to bring out you food and when they do it a HUGE portion and you've forgotten you ordered it/no longer want to eat and now have to deal with a huge portion of food you no longer want over and over. You also order refills of your drinks from the ipad and the response time was so fast! There is also a selection of desserts and drinks that you can also order from the ipad, some included with the AYCE price and some are an additional charge. Mostly everything that's included was more than enough for us so we didn't really need to venture into the extra. The only thing I had to knock one star off for was the cleanliness. There were little fruit flies flying around our food on the table and one actually landed in our food :( But this seems to be a common issue with all AYCE restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes hot pot. Their service and food is AMAZING! And there're right in Mosaic which is such a nice place for a walk after a hearty meal!

Yelp
4.5/5 I've come here so many times, I don't know why I haven't left a review yet! From their grand opening to now, they've stayed consistent with most things. I'm a big mala spicy broth gal and sometimes I've noticed the flavors slightly different from other times but equally enjoyable so not too much to complain there. This is AYCE so come with an open mind about the options. They do have a premium option if you pay a little more you get the better meats but I personally never had the urge to do that since their main menu does well on its own. To get bang for your buck, get the fatty brisket and DON'T sleep on the vegetables! Hot pot is meant to be enjoyed with many vegetables alongside some protein. I've noticed people going ham just with the meat... and I mean.. I guess if that works for you- sure. But that's no fun! Lol They do have a time limit but I've never run into an issue with that. We usually are in and out within an hour or so from the moment we get seated. I will warn you that their wait times are wild on the weekends so come early and get on their waitlist thru Yelp!

Yelp
My favorite Hot Pot restaurant in NOVA!! I love eating here. There is always a good variety of meats, vegetables, and of course noodles! The sauce bar has everything you need to make whatever kind of sauce you want. I also really love that it is AYCE and that they offer free dessert. The service is good, staff is always nice and attentive. Great ambiance for a date or just a nice get together :)

Yelp
Fantastic! They had a few vegetarian soup base options. I've never had tomato soup I have it a whirl. It was lovely! Orders arrive quickly for ingredients.. you order them at your table on an iPad and everything other than the soup arrived in less than 3 minutes after ordering. It was amazing! The ingredients are fresh. The environment is clean and bright. Not too loud. On busy evenings there' can be a long wait. We went on a week night at 6 pm and there was now air for our group of 4. This is my new favorite hot pot spot! They also have a conveyer belt and those tables get scooped up quickly. Doesn't matter for me. This place is great!!!

Yelp
Food and concepts were good. Didn't particularly like the fact that there was a two hour time limit, but can understand why. But would recommend having a separate section for maybe small bites and drinks for people who just want to converse.
