First time here & was so so impressed! The food was amazing, the place looked so beautiful, lovely atmosphere and the workers were so friendly & nice! Our waiter Sandro was great, gave us a breakdown of all the food since it was my first time here & was so sweet! Will definitely be coming back to Urban Plates!😁 It was so good i ate almost all of it before i remembered to take a picture 😂

Came for a business lunch for the first time. Was very impressed with the quality of food and the value. I had the steak and the side side of broccoli and cauliflower. Steak was good but the sides were a bit disappointing. I had expected a bit of a kick from the harrisa lime cauliflower but found it to be mostly bland.

First time at Urban Plates (Manhattan Beach) and we were pleasantly pleased. Gladys had such a warming smile and helped us out with the vast menu. I had the lamb Osso Bucco which was Awesome. The lamb shank was tender and the polenta was nice and creamy. My wife had the braised beef and mushrooms and she loved it. Sandro checked on us and made sure we enjoyed the meal. He was super nice and had some good dessert suggestions. The atmosphere is relaxing and I’m sure we’ll be back for more tomorrow!!!

This was me and my boyfriend’s first time eating here and we had a great meal! He had the two tenders meal and I got the chimichurri steak. Delicious food, especially the Mac and cheese which we got as a side! Big shoutout to Sandro who made sure we had a great experience while we dined in. We will definitely be coming back!

This is my first time trying out Urban Plates. I looked up the menu before my visit. I was really drawn to all the ultra healthy menu selections, especially the plethora of gluten-free options, as I am highly allergic. I went in expecting a very transactional experience like you would have at any other "fast food" restaurant. I couldn't have been more wrong. First impressions, this place is stunning. You can expect to be greeted by a beautiful dining area with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Not to mention a charming fireplace in the outdoor seating area. I picked an open table inside and placed a mobile order. Ten minutes later, the lovely Zaire (the hero of this story) brought me my food, drink, and silverware with the most pleasant attitude. Not only did she check on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal, but she caught me looking around for help at one point and promptly made her way over to assist. There were a couple of people making their rounds, offering water and clearing dishes. All with such kindness! The service here is above and beyond. The food is seriously amazing too. So much so that I devoured it before I could snap a picture 😅

Sandro made the dinner quite memorable. He provided excellent service, honest recommendations and even let us sample the replenishers prior to purchase. We ordered the seasonal lamb osso bucco, sea bass plate, and mixed beet salad. The lamb portion was great, the sea bass was okay, and the beet salad was great. Overall the dinner was A+. I will come back and try other items off of the menu.

We enjoyed the meal here on Friday night. We bought a plate pass to save 20% on our meals. That's $5 and we saved $16¿¡ We ordered the steak and salad nicoise. Both were nicely done. The sides might have some spice so check. My cauliflower harissa with lime has some heat. The low sun was in our faces. We asked Sandro to help out and he made the sun disappear by pulling the blind. Thanks.

I love Urban Plates! This place is very well run and the food is super tasty. My food was delicious! I got the Grass Fed Steak Salad and it was so tasty and huge. I also got the pineapple cream soda and it was very very tasty. Sandro took my order and he was very clear, helpful, and was attentive to our table even though it's just cafeteria style. I'd come back here again and my love for urban plates ever grows.

My wife and I have been talking about eating here, but we've never pulled the trigger...except for today. Finally! And we sure have been missing out! We walked in and immediately dug the vibe. Great decor and ambience. We were greeted at the counter by Andrew. He had a great attitude and seemed quite knowledgeable about their menu. He provided answers to our many questions and even suggested items that he enjoyed. We took his advise on the roasted potatoes and he sure nailed it. Thank you Andrew, you rock! Our food was delicious and the service was absolutely awesome! Between Andrew and the gal that brought the food, they knocked it out of the park! Thank you, thank you for a great first experience. We'll definitely be back...soon! And oh my gosh! Their chocolate cookies...bomb.com!

I'm so glad I discovered Urban Plates and signed up for plate pass, they fit into my lifestyle perfectly! I love how they have so many locations across California as I'm always on the move. I started by trying the grilled steak salad, it was phenomenal, but my current favorite is the Asian noodle salad with ahi tuna instead. If you're looking for value, the salads are perhaps a bit more generous in portion size compared to the plates. I've been to a couple of locations across the state and each one has had the same great ambiance. One time I pulled out my laptop during lunch to meet a last minute deadline, and although I wouldn't recommend making this a study spot they do have free WiFi and nobody gave me a hard time about sitting for a bit past when I finished my meal. The staff here are also very friendly, as someone who gets crippling social anxiety from time to time it feels good knowing that I can expect a positive experience on every visit.

Food I got the nashvillw chickend with garlic mushrooms and a citrus hibiscus drink. The chicken sandwich was really good. Good amount of crunch with perfectly friend chicken so that it was still moist on the inside and the mushroom as a side were amazing and flavorful. Gotta say tho, the sandwich had pickles but could taste it at all and i needed the pickle to counter the rich chicken which was spiced just right. The citrus hibiscus drink was really good, nice and bright. I also got a complimentary cookie for leaving this review which I appreciated. The cookie was just alright tho since i like my cookies on the chewier side, so if you like a crunchy cookie this is for you Service/Ambiance The restaurant had a nice modern vibe with plenty of seating and good choices in the menu. Our cashier, Hector, was really nice and overall I was pleased

Love urban plates and the dog friendly patio! This is my first time at this location. The staff has been very kind to my pup and generously offered him a water bowl :)

Came to Urban Plates with my parents for the first time, and I loved it!!!! Dylan was the cashier and was so kind. My dad got the broccoli, but it had gochujang on it (Korean spice) but my dad does not like spice at all. So I asked Dylan if it would he possible to get some broccoli without the gochujang and he said sure!! It also got brought to our table! Was not expecting that. Wonderful service, I would definitely come back just to be helped by Dylan again!! Thank you Urban Plates :)

Ordinarily, I visited Urban Plates in Playa Vista but decided to go to Manhattan Beach location instead. And I am so glad I did because this location is much better. First of all, the vibe is welcoming. Hector(cashier) provided an excellence of customer service. To boot, he gifted me with an oversized oatmeal cookie while I waited, which was not long. My order was ready within 10 minutes, long enough to enjoy the tasty treat( cookie). You guys must come here and ask for Hector. Tell him Ms. Evans sent you!!!!

We visited the location in manhattan village and it was a busy Saturday but we were able to get in and order. They usually allow you to see the food cut and served in front of you but once covid hit, the open food bar disappeared. The cashier explained the changes and helped us with our order. He was a bit eccentric, eating some candy in front of us and then walked away to finish the bag of his candy lol Very interesting service! He was nice though so no harm no foul. We ordered the weekly special lamb with a type of potato! (I forgot the fancy name) The lamb was tender, juicy and flavorful. I ordered the turkey blt with avocado and it was good as well. The seating area was quaint and overlooked the busy parking lot but the ambiance was calm. You could bring family here for a quick meal or come out and enjoy yourself before shopping in the square.

Urban Plates is always a great option - reasonably priced, made with quality ingredients, delicious, and so much to choose from. My favorites are the grilled cage free chicken sandwich and steak plate. But really you can't go wrong with anything here - all the sides are delicious as well, so the 3 side plate is also a good choice. The interior of the restaurant is super pretty - we saw some people studying while we were eating dinner. The ordering process was pretty seamless, and service was good. Would recommend!

Sandro provided excellent service, the food was great, and the ambiance was perfect. It gave a cozy and comfy feeling. Today I had the steak plate with a side of Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts.

Let's start with the service, IMMACULATE! I didn't catch the chef's name but he was so friendly, had excellent recommendations, and described the plates and drinks with such enthusiasm! Verbatim: "The PiñaCocoLime drink is one shot of Bacardi short of being a good time." he was right, it's that good. He explained the table service and directed us on where to get our silverware, napkins, etc. which was so nice of him to do with it being our first time in there. Now the food: i got the surf and turf with mashed potatoes and a side ceasar salad. My bf got the grilled steak, roasted potatoes and ceasar as well. There's a different restaurant we love that has our favorite ceasar and let me tell you, this place knocked it straight off the first place spot! If you opt for the chimichuri sauce just keep in mind that it's more of a subtle chimichuri taste. And if you get the mashed potatoes, I recommend skipping the gravy, the potatoes are amazing already and don't need it. To top it all off, we tried the cowgirl cookie (oatmeal cookie with cranberries instead of raisins) and I'm obsessed. We'll be back again for sure!

Consistently good! Sandro was a great waiter. The BBQ ribs were super hearty and the chicken Cobb was huge with very tender chicken.

I'm a frequent customer at this location because the food and customer service is always exceptional. Tonight we tried the blackened salmon and it was awesome. The seasoning on the salmon had just the right amount of heat and flavor. My new favorite entree!

Quality food, just the right portions, and excellent service from Sandro and the staff. Music was just the right volume so I can have a conversation in a normal voice.

This was my first time coming here and it didn't disappoint. Their beet salad is great and so filling as well that dressing is addicting for sure. Their food is very fresh and lots of fun options for everybody even the kiddos. Ambiance is very clean and aesthetically rad. Lots of seating space if you go in a big group like we did we were 17 and had no problem with that. We enjoyed our food so much and their drink selection is great as well. Good food and wine.. why not!

I love Urban Plates! When I don't feel like cooking, but want the family to eat real food that is healthy, this is the place I always come to. The workers here are friendly and efficient. I usually like to take my time to study the menu, because there are just so many great choices, Hector, the cashier staff, was patient with me. He even gave me a menu to study while the rest of my family ordered. After we seated, Sandro brought our seat out quickly, and constantly came by to check on us. We also have the Urban Plate pass, which makes our meals so affordable given how expensive everything is nowadays.

Fast casual cafe with customizable options. The food is tasty but the online ordering system through their website is very buggy. My coworker and I both tried multiple times to place a large order for lunch on the website, and even though we would get to the point of inputting our credit card information, the website would take us back to the beginning of the order, rendering us incapable of paying for the food. We ended up using DoorDash and got our food that way (which also had a quicker delivery time). Other than the woeful tech issues, I did like my two tender plate which I got with mac and cheese and corn. They give a complimentary piece of bread as well. Vegetarian friendly. Pickup and delivery available.

Everything we ordered was so delicious, every last bit! Tried the steak, the ribs and the turkey club. Our server Sandro was also extremely helpful and friendly, service was amazing

Sandro was one of the best servers that I have seen he is very nice and has lots of patience. The food was very delicious and the portions are very big for a great price. I would definitely recommend and I am definitely coming back.

This food is . Often times it's hard to find healthy options that taste good and are good for you. I like Urban Plates because I can get great healthy options and at a good price with wonderful service. Sandro and the rest of the service team were dynamic! They were hospitable, extremely knowledgeable about the menu items and nutritional value. I definitely recommend this urban plates if you're in the mood for fast casual.

I liked their Mac and cheese, and think the kids salmon plate is a good deal if you are not too hungry and want to try a bunch of things from the menu. But the mango tart slice was a bit disappointing for the $7 price point. Two of the employees forgot to bring out the drink, so I had to go back and ask for it. Otherwise the service was ok. Is a pretty loud family restaurant style atmosphere with lots of nearby office employees waiting out the traffic.

Amazing food and drinks - choices and flavor, pared with Superior Service. Urban Plates is just phenomenal! Varied menu with lots of options. One of my favorite offerings of theirs is their Salmon - so tender and juicy, DELICIOUS. If you like seafood, you will enjoy the seafood chowder, yummy!!! The PinaCocoLime beverage is very refreshing, but don't stop there - try them all. You will not be disappointed. Tonight I ordered in. The meal was delicious as always. We go there quite often because the service, meals, and cozy environment is Great. The staff is friendly and always smiling. It is one of our favorite restaurants. It's really very, very good. If you haven't tried Urban Plates I highly recommend you do so, and I am fussy. The most amazing food and atmosphere! Highly recommend! A++++

I took the plunge and signed up for their Plate Pass for $5 a month! Despite my previous review, I have continued to visit Urban Plates on occasion as it does have excellent quality food that is conveniently located for me. Parking is always plentiful and prices are good for the quality and taste of what you're getting.

This was my first time dining here and I was so impressed with the friendly staff especially Hector our server. He was so pleasant that I would love to go back and enjoy another meal. The place was very clean including the restroom. He took up time with me and didn't rush me but helped me save some money. The food is worth the wait. The fountain drinks get a plus because they make them by hand and the ingredients are organic. This place deserves 10 stars

Great food! Sandro and staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a dining experience that is both enjoyable and memorable.

The ambiance of this location is really nice, with a very spacious interior which is very comfortable. Sitting by the fire outside would be even nicer on a day that's not too windy. I have no complaints about the service. The food itself was average for the most part, as well as the prices for a restaurant in the area. The asian chicken noodle salad was probably the only thing worth ordering of the things we got, though. The grilled chicken was definitely not worth it, being that it comes with such a small portion of the main item, although the side of brussel sprouts were actually really good. I'm not sure if it's just dark meat chicken that came with each dish since I didn't notice it on the menus, but it threw us off with the overall dish since the taste of it was also unexpected and not cohesive with the rest of the flavors.

Food was delicious and fast! Actually can't believe how good it was. And Sandro was an excellent server and super helpful especially since it was our first time here. I'll be back!

It was my first time at Urban Plates, and Hector was super sweet and broke down how the ordering process works in detail. He gave me his suggestions on some good hits on the menu too. Overall staff energy was super nice, and I appreciated that. Place was pretty busy when I walked in, but it's a Sunday afternoon in Manhattan Beach, so it's understandable. Definitely will be back.

Writing this as I just finished my meal. The quality of food here is exceptional. It was honestly shocking for me as I didn't expect Michelin star quality from just an afternoon brunch. We went from checking counter, to water filling station, to our seats and our appetizers were already coming from the kitchen... OK? After we finished our meal a wonderful employee by the name of Faviola who as she took our plates away offered us a complimentary cookie. I mean at this point, I'm just curious. My favorite dessert offered for free? Not only was their FREE cookie an 8.5/10 (they have even fresher ones for purchase), but the customer service was the real reason we will be coming back. Delicious food and service as always! Tonight Dylan helped us and he was accommodating and personable! He suggested the best cookie to get after dinner with a smile on his face! I was referred to this restaurant by my boss and fell hard. I brought my family here to eat and celebrate Mother's Day, we sat inside and the service was great! The cashier who took my order that day topped it off. He repeated my order and I don't know it was funny when he made sure our order was correct; I wish I got his name, he made our day. The ambiance is nice indoors and out, our server was very great. She had a smile on her face and was very informative. I went back and she was our server again and made her aware of how much I enjoyed the food and service. I will be back for that Hot Tennessee Tender Sandwich. I mean so far everything is good but it's that juicy chicken sandwich for me. Lastly the chocolate vanilla layer cake is

Cute place - inside decor is adorable and they offer outdoor seating. Tons of parking in this plaza. Did a Togo order and the employees were super friendly and efficient. Had the Caesar - good amount of chicken, tomatoes, croutons, and cheese. Served with a side of bread. French fries - crispy and delicious!

The food was delicious, I ordered the Sea Bass plate was tender and didn't taste fishy. The server brought out the food in a timely manner and it was warm. This location has beautiful ambiance the fire place and greenery add a romantic touch. Sandro was very nice and gave great service.

A relatively newer farm-to-table experience in MB. Every time I have come to urban plates there is a line. You can also order online here and have them bring your food faster. There is also an urban plates club will be give you a member price at $5 dollar membership a month which is a great deal if you are eating here daily. They have a variety of base plates along with various sides. Everything here is pretty healthy. The sit down portion in my opinion is a bit better than take-out. Plus everything about the sit down restaurant is super clean. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly.

Manager is not professional and you think you were in a jail kitchen with his demeanor, I paid way too much for my house to live in this neighborhood and you have people like him conducting business, hint genius be nice to your customers, make us feel welcome and make us want to come back!

From the moment we walked in and ordered and got our food, the service was outstanding. Got the salmon plate, steak plate and cheese burger for the kid. All were very tasty and the sides we chose, were great too! Sandro checked up on us while we were dining which we really appreciate!
