Urban Plates is located in Tysons Galleria in McLean VA.
They claim as organic and made from scratch food.
Ambiance: The interior is cozy and have a good positive vibe. Hip and chic. Very clean and corteous staff.
Food: They have a good selection of food from salad, hot foods and desserts plus a few good organic drinks.
The food serving comparing the ratio vs the price and what is included is already a steal. I am not a salad person so i haven’t tried their salad bar yet.
I tried the sea bass and the grass fed steak, which for is just “ok” in terms of the taste. I feel they could’ve both spiced it up a little bit to add more flavor but both the sea bass and the steaks are moist so it’s a big plus.
They have a good sides selection. I am a brussels sprout fanatic so i always get it everywhere i go then i also got the mashed potato with a gravy colored white which is surprisingly good than the usual brown gravy. I also hot the carrot and beets which i am not sire if either i liked it or not.
For the dessert, I got the banana-pineapple cake and the mango tart which i told the staff that basing from the look of the mango, it is sout but i am asian so i am ok with it and i wasn’t wrong. It was sour and they still continue to sell it. The banana-pineapple cake is a superb combo for a dessert. I recommend this cake.
Overall, i will comeback again. For the price and the serving portion. It’s a good deal.
