On the Grid : Marche Wine Bar

"Wine. That thirst quenching beverage of the gods that needs no introduction. Formerly Luna Vine Wine Bar, the service is as good if not better than the wine. Personalized attention is paid to learn about your wine preferences and professionally recommend up to a trio of tastings. Learn about the flavors of each bottle and pair it with one of Marche's fabulous cheese plates. Manchengo topped with a roasted Walnut dipped in honey and washed down with Spanish Pinot Noir is an absolutely delicious way to spend an evening in Burbank." - Jennifer Beatty

Nice surprise of a non-chain, high-quality restaurant in downtown Burbank. Food was very delicious. Highly recommend the branzino. Need to bring our wine loving friends. They have a very nice covered patio upstairs and live music downstairs.

The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and unique! The staff are attentive and our waitress Hadley knew so much about the wines and flavors. She made our experience even more enjoyable! The food is so delicious and I HIGHLY recommend the red wine soaked pear. I also recommend coming on a Wednesday because they have an affordable deal wine tasting. 10/10 will come back!

Google
We had our rehearsal dinner at Urban Press Winery and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, Caryn was amazing to work with—so helpful, flexible, and made the whole process feel effortless. The food was outstanding—every dish was delicious, and the arancini were a huge hit with everyone. Seriously, people are still talking about them! The wine was also incredible (no surprise there), and paired perfectly with everything we had. The service went above and beyond, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. It honestly exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be back for more comforting, delicious Italian food—and of course, more wine. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a great night out!

Google
In the heart of downtown Burbank. We went there for my birthday’s dinner. Food was great, we did wine tasting, tried the Caesar salad, 4 cheese pizza, bolognese and the Tiramisu. Live music was a little bit loud but the service was great

I have never dined here or had a beverage. Except for some water and this is how I came to find one of Los Angeles's hidden gems. The atmosphere is amazing. I do wonder how everything else is. Please feel free to comment on your experience.l

Google
Hidden gem in Burbank! We had the most amazing dinner with a wine tasting experience at this lovely and authentic place. The whole staff were absolutely fabulous and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was extraordinary and the octopus was definitely the best I have ever had. Very well balanced flavors and new interesting combinations. It’s a pity we are not local otherwise we’d be regulars.

Google
Had gone there before and the food was good. This time, prepaid and reserved for Valentines Day. Atmosphere was great but the food was below par. The appetizers were very mediocre. For example the menu stated “Heirloom tomatoes with burrata cheese”. Those were not heirloom tomatoes And the tuna sashimi was not very good. The entree was ok. Any way, was disappointed.

Google
We hosted a celebration of life at Urban Press Winery in Burbank. It was perfect. I worked with Tanja from beginning to end. She made hosting the event a breeze. She listened attentively to what I wanted and quickly drew up a clear and simple menu & contract. The entire process was stress free and the event went off without a hitch. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. The patio was beautiful and perfect for the event.

Yelp
Love Linda A Smith Sunday Brunch featuring Jazz musicians from all over Los Angeles. The BEST Lobster Benedict Ever!!!

Yelp
I love Urban Press Winery. I've worked in Burbank for many years, but had no idea how wonderful this place is. The wine is great. The food is amazing. The service is superb. I always spend time at the jazz clubs in the Châtelet neighborhood of the 2nd arrondissement when I'm in Paris. I've never experienced a similar vibe in LA until I sat at the tasting bar last Friday. Saturday I did the Chef's Wine Pairing Dinner. OMG! Thank you, Karen, Madison, Megan, and Chef Edgar.

Yelp
They serve a nice chicken piccata that has breadcrumbs on top but the rest of the food was very mediocre. The focaccia was super stale yet drenched in oil and was not good. The corn soup was good but standard in flavor profile. The beet salad was very overcooked and mushy unfortunately. Ambiance and menu is very much for an older wino crowd... not really my scene.

Yelp
I could not say enough wonderful things about this place. I booked a last min reso for a girls night, and I'm so glad I did. What looks to be the most unassuming wine bar from the street entrance is actually a gorgeous and sprawling two-floor interior with incredibly friendly staff, delicious food, live music, and of course: a deep love of wine. From the minute we walked in, the general manager (Caryn) took care of us from beginning to end. She was lovely to talk to and made us feel so welcome. She notified us of how often the winery has live music, and of how Sunday brunches with live jazz are a huge draw. Would go back just because of her hospitality. We ordered the arancini, truffle fries, and the Miss Italia Pizze (prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, and shaved parm). Everything was tasty! A little pricey, but feels accurate for a nice wine bar/restaurant. Their wine menu is obviously extensive, so there'll be something for everyone in your party. Go for the $25 wine tasting if you want some variety. We loved the rosé! Free parking is located at 257 E Palm Ave; this lot recommended on their website to park at.

Yelp
The food is good and the space is comfortable, but the service was a little bit indifferent, and on a night with live music, there is zero advantage to paying for the better seating. It's a smaller space than it seems and the whole restaurant gets more or less the same experience, especially since so many people are talking over the music anyway. The wine selection is quite broad in terms of varietals, but it's all young and modern in style. There's nothing that about the space that is negative, but it lacks something that is the difference between four and five stars. It's good, not GREAT. I would go back if I was in the area but I would not go out of my way to get there. The wine is the focus, as it should be, and the wine is quite good - but if your palate prefers o old world or highly complex expressions, this is not your spot.

Yelp
WOW! This place completely surprised us. we've been walking past it for a couple years always wanting to try it but just never got around to it. I assumed it was just some small wine bar. The other day we were offered a free wine tasting if we booked a reservation so we figured it was finally the time to try it out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest staff and offered wine immediately, some of the best wines i've ever tried even the white and rose which im never big fans of. Then walking through the restaurant we were surprised to find out it's actually a lot bigger than we expected, they have seating on the first floor where they also have live music, then they have balcony seating and then they also have this beautiful outdoor patio in the back where we ended up sitting. We're vegan so we ordered all their vegan options, the lentil soup, fava bean purée, wild mushroom truffle pizza, and the orecchiette. Everything was really good but the fava bean purée was our favorite. I will be coming back solely for this dish, the bread was baked to perfection with so much garlic and the purée was so creamy and smooth. TRY THIS DISH

Yelp
This place has became a home away from home for me. The ambiance and atmosphere is blessed with positive energy. They go above and beyond here to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Megan, Karen, Victoria and Kyla have always been so sweet to me every time I come by. Aside from the amazing people who work here, the food here is off the charts and most importantly the wine is phenomenal with prices you can't beat ! So grateful to have this wine bar in Burbank.

Yelp
Quaint and thoughtfully-executed space featuring exquisite dining. Factor in possibly the best wine selection in L.A. combined with top-tier musical entertainment offerings and you may have one of the rarest gems this city has to offer. Went on a Sunday @ 3PM and caught a live jazz sextet laying down standards - beautiful non-intrusive vocals and music - silky. MC3 Jazz or something like that, anyhow, killer. We had MARGHERITA PIZZA (3.5) BEET BOWL/SALAD (4.5) PEPPERONI PIZZA (4.5) CAESAR SALAD (5) Shout-out to pro server MADISON - bright, smiling and lovely taking care of us. Management at this place is spot on. Every little detail is dialed.

Yelp
Honestly do not understand how this place is rated so high. My only guess is if you're getting the bottomless options and drinking significant alcohol. Tried this place for Mother's Day. Had to put a deposit down to hold the reservation. I understand that for a busy holiday. The deposit was $31(confirmed on my credit card statement) . Interestingly they only credited $30 to my bill. On principle that's not ok. So when I called to make the reservation I Specifically asked when the jazz started because we wanted to be there for that. Then we were seated on the patio where there was NO jazz. Evidently they moved our table from where our original reservation was supposed to be (at least that's what we were told when it came time to pay the bill and they couldn't show me the credit on the details without a manager coming over. ) Ok. So details: service was a one star. Took 10 min to even be acknowledged and ask for water. He only followed up about 10 min after the food was brought out because we flagged him for more water. In the end he got a bit of an attitude when I asked for a detailed list of my charges. (Which was quite the task to make happen. ) Food: the charcuterie board was pretty good but over priced at $32 in my opinion. I had the LA omelette. It was ok. We also had the steak and eggs. The first pass delivered the steak cold and overcooked. The person who returned with the requested condiments did make this right and was very polite. He was the spotlight of the experience. The steak has no seasoning so it made for a very bland meal. Although once corrected was at least warm and cooked nicely. It was tender. Personally will not be back. It was a less than average experience and nothing even worth chancing for a second try.

Yelp
Finally had the time and chance to try this place out. I was pleasantly surprised. The bar area and indoor area is nice. What I didn't know was that they had a nice patio area on the second floor. Well over double the size of the downstairs area. The wine list wasn't bad. I tried what I believe was the house Chardonnay and it was pretty good. Onto the food. I first tried the arancini. A good portion. A fried dish but it wasn't heavy or oily. It was on the light side which was nice. Next dish was the beef tartare . Another dish that I thought would be heavy but it was light. I have never had it with a cream mixed in so that was new and really good. It was creamy but light in flavor. The beef had a light bite to it which was great . The slight beefy irony taste mixed with the light cream with the parmesan slight funk was pretty good. I just wish it came with more crostini. Last but not least the chicken piccata. Very good. The chicken was tender and moist. You can taste the deep flavor of the lemon brine. The light panko crust giving it some texture. The fresh perfectly cooked vegetables. The light but deep flavored cream coating the plate and vegetables. I hadn't had a chicken piccata like that. Overall the food was pretty good and for fine dining I think is moderately priced. The service was good , the waitresses that helped me were super nice. Only con for me is the music. I really don't like live music while i eat. And that did put me off of this place for a long time ...... Because I never knew there was a back area that didn't do music. I do think a small bar area in the back would be great. But aside from that great place. Maybe they will get the 5th star the more I go.

Yelp
I started coming to Urban Press Winery because of the live music. Wine selection by the glass is a bit limited but there are some very good choices. When I finally ordered an entree, I was hooked! The absolute best dish they had was the porchetta. Unfortunately, very few people ordered it and it has been since taken off the menu...sigh... Beet Salad is excellent. Beef Tartare is good. Mushroom Truffle Pasta is very good. Pizzas are a bit hit and miss so it may depend heavily on your topping preferences. Red Wine Braised Pears are delicious! Brunch menu is quite different and it seems Burbank has not yet discovered what a gem of a place this is with the patio. Salmon Crepes were served in a "sushi roll style" which surprised me. I hope to take advantage of their $45 unlimited brunch offer soon. Happy Hour is 3-6 Thursday and Friday, 3 till closing on Wednesdays and there are specials on food and wine. For non-wine drinkers who want alcohol, you're out of luck as there's no full bar and no beer options. I like the atmosphere of this place and the service has been excellent. I look forward to making my way through the rest of the menu, taking in more live music, relaxing on the patio, and chatting with the staff.

Yelp
I came on a Wednesday for happy hour from 3p-close. I had some wine, pizza and truffle fries. Select wines are $8 a glass. For pizza I had Wild Mushroom Truffle and Fennel Pork Sausage. The mushroom was good and topped with arugula. The pork sausage was perfect; my favorite of the two. The fries were good and, as always, perfect for sharing. There was little to no truffle taste in it. Since it is still January and still cold there weren't too many people which was nice. I failed to mention earlier that there are several seating options which is nice. I love the outdoor area as it is also covered.

Yelp
Wow, just wow. If you're looking for great locally sourced wine and fantastic food selection at an awesome price this is the spot! Eduardo was behind the bar and was super charismatic, knowledgeable, and helpful. The decor is super cool, rustic, and abstract. It feels very inviting and comfortable inside. They have great happy hour specials including $1 oysters (Thurs & Fri 3-and it goes all day on Wednesdays! Highly recommend going on a hump day and un"Wining"

Yelp
This place looks small on the outside, but they actually have tons of seating inside and on their patio! I also loved the cozy and rustic ambiance of the interior. The service was excellent and we were able to get a table without a reservation fairly quick. We ordered the truffle Parmesan fries, grilled octopus, fennel endive salad, spaghetti with clams and mussels, seafood risotto, and the miss italia pizza. Everything was delicious, but in my opinion the spaghetti was the star of the show. It was loaded with a lot of good quality seafood and the pasta tasted very fresh. There was also live jazz music, which I loved. I would definitely come back again to try their wine and other menu items!

Yelp
Did wine tasting here, and had a beet salad. The red wines here are fantastic (my faves are the Syrah and the Rhone Blend). The food here is delicious too. Love the ambiance of the entire place. There is live music in the brick room, and an outdoor patio area on the second floor. The indoor dining area upstairs is lovely, as you have an open view of the area downstairs and can also hear the music as well. Would totally come back.

The absolute best place ever came for the wife's birthday during brunch and the food is just amazing Cannot wait to come back for dinner. Really wish I got our servers name because she was just amazing.

Yelp
Nightmare on Elm* Street (a cautionary tale) Our party of 5 had brunch at UPW for Mother's Day. Things did not go well. There was an omen when I made the reservation as not only did I pay a $10 per person deposit but charged a $2.25 fee for the privilege. Upon arriving on time at the front door, we encountered a flight of stairs that my wife, with some mobility issues, was not ready to challenge. The alternative was to walk around the block and through an alley to enter through the back door. We were seated in the piazza (or patio for us commoners). We were seated directly in the sun. It was a warm day. The glass type covering for the piazza had the effect of keeping the heat and noise in. We were hot & couldn't hardly hear each other speak. It had to be almost 30 minutes after our reservation time that we were finally seated with menus & introduced to our waiter. It was with some difficulty that we navigated the menu. They had a flat fee for all you could eat menu items & mimosas but there was an asterisk with six different rules. We went ahead with this option anyway at & $64 each. We had 90 minutes to consume only to learn later that the clock started at our reservation time which was by now 40 minutes ago. I ordered the eggs Benedict for starters. I got 1/2 a muffin with 1 egg. An obvious menu misprint that should have said egg Benedict. I then got a frittata that was very dry. I've had thicker slices of prosciutto. My wife ordered a short stack of pancakes. Another misprint. It was 1 pancake. All 5 of us agreed we will never go back. *San Fernando Road *SanFernando Road

Yelp
ADORE this place! So fun! Ahhhmazing wines and fresh homemade Italian food and fresh oysters. Love doing a flight of wine then picking my favorite to have a glass of! Live music on the weekends, and many different areas and vibes to sit. At the bar, floor level tables, up in the mezzanine, or out on the Italian vibe terrace. Go and have fun! Maybe even join the wine club!

Yelp
We were here with my son last weekend during lunch time. The patio in the back was amazing and I loved it. The atmosphere was fantastic and I recommend this place to my local neighborhood and friends. If the business would advertise what type of music and which days and what time, I would go there more often.

Yelp
Fantastic Burbank spot! Great for both dinner and brunch! Their outdoor patio on a beautiful day is the place to be! Night they have music and events inside! Service is always top notch!

Yelp
What a classy place tucked away on the busiest street in Burbank! Their happy hour specials are affordable and divine. The whole menu is very appetizing and there's a very nice decor aesthetic whether you sit inside or outside. Do yourself a favor, take a break from the chain restaurants surrounding you on San Fernando and in the mall, and treat yourself to at least an arancini here.

Yelp
*BEST WINE BAR / LIVE MUSIC SPOT IN THE VALLEY* Urban Press Winery is SO impressive! Wow. This place is the spot! We have been here countless times now. Everything gets better and better. The food, the staff, the atmosphere and the music... this place is on point! Urban Press Winery offers a different musical experience almost every night of the week! The theming here is excellent. We went on Saturday night for the first time and had a blast! Every table has a red rose, every staff member is so happy you're there and every dish is the best pick!! The wine here is excellent. No bad choice on the menu. Another stand out is the staff - they are so kind and super knowledgeable about all of their wines. The way the music sounds in this place is like no other. The band sets up inside the wine cellar and the lighting is immaculate. The chandelier adds to the musical experience. I remember walking into Jazz brunch on a Sunday and feeling so inspired and excited! Jazz brunch offers bottomless mimosas and/or sparkling Rose. They have an amazing Sangria on the menu that is refreshing as well! Here are the dishes I've tried here and they've all been wonderful! Also, the prices are great too! Eggs and asparagus (must have!!) Salmon (absolutely delicious!!) Breakfast pizza (sooooo good!!!) Pasta carpaccio (perfectly flavored!!) Bread rolls with rosemary tomato (yum!!!) Every dish is amazing - you can't go wrong! They offer wine tasting, mezzanine seating, patio seating and indoor seating. Our favorite time to come is Jazz Brunch. This place is a super gem. I would say my number one place to go on a Sunday!! *honorable mentions: affordable wine club, street parking, not a bad seat in the house!

Yelp
The food and service are great but what keeps me returning is the live music! Especially Linda A's Jazz Brunch from 2-5 on Sundays. Yesterday, April 28 Todd Hunter and the Brazilians transported us to São Paulo and at one point the wine bar turned into a dance floor and host, Linda A. Smith, led us in a free form Samba. Drummer-vocalist, Tatá Batera melted our hearts when she joined Mr. Roboto in a dreamy version of Ivan Lins' "Love Dance." Special guest, guitarist/arranger/conductor Dori Amarilio, added to the magic. Guitarist, Bruno Cunha, and bassist Leo Nobre are fierce and fabulous. Thank you, globetrotting, Todd Hunter, for bringing great music to the UPW! There's a new genre of music offered every Sunday. Check it out.

Yelp
I recently discovered Urban press Winery during their 7th year anniversary. How did I manage to miss this gem in the past 7 years? I discovered I've been living my life thinking that it was only wine tasting with the tiny dining room in the front only to discover that there is a two-story dining establishment with another multi-level backyard dining area in back. One day last week as I was venturing down San Fernando Road in Burbank, I passed Urban Press. I noticed there was a special event going on for their 7th year anniversary which includes $7 entrees and wine during lunch and one day on the 16th all day in November. I decided to check it out! The friendliest host greeted us and we were seated quickly in the upper area of the restaurant that offered us a great view of the entertainment below. Oh did I mention? They have live entertainment. The ambiance of the whole place just made me feel like I was literally in Wine Country. The owners have done a great job in decorating and creating such comfortable space for an elegant meal. We enjoyed a sampling from their special menu that's currently only available at lunch for the rest of November. I encourage you to hurry in and experience all they have to offer! This is going to be one of our new places to have just a fantastic dinner or lunch. And don't forget the wine! If you make a reservation during the rest of November I believe it includes wine tasting. The truffle pizza was fantastic and for a $7 special it was more than enough for two people. They piled on the arugula which is what I love. The pizza crust was delicious and just perfect. My dining partner is still raving about that wagyu burger that was perfectly cooked. If you're looking for a true gourmet burger, try this one out before it's gone! To start our meal out we had the most exquisite beet salad with goat cheese, truly an elegant way to start off your meal. We shared a bowl of rigatoni with a hearty Bolognese. I would have loved to try dessert however we were just incapable of having any room left after that filling and delicious meal. I can't wait to go back and I want to thank the restaurant for just a lovely evening. Congratulations on 7 years and here's to seven more!

Yelp
This is a wonderful place for happy hour! Delicious food and wine and great service - all in a wonderful setting. The patio is so lovely, you forget you're in the middle of bustling Burbank. The happy hour menu offers a nice selection of pizza and other happy hour treats. We had the truffle fries, the mushroom truffle and arugula pizza and ordered the octopus from the main menu. Everything was superb! Fries were piping hot and crispy. The pizza was exceptional with truffle mushrooms. And the octopus was so tender - we almost ordered a second order! Then came out the cacio de peppe - also very yummy. I cannot recommend this place enough and I'm so looking forward to returning again soon!

Yelp
Urban Press Winery is one of my favorite places to go in Downtown Burbank. I've gone a few times for dinner with friends, it's always a relaxed environment and the staff is always warm and welcoming. For the most part I always go for their pasta dishes, which always have fresh pasta and usually cooked very well, al dente with a great chew. This trip I went for a lunch meeting and ordered the Mussels and Clams, my second time having it and it's an easy favorite of mine. Our server was helpful with wine suggestions but I went with a nice glass of brut. I wasn't disappointed. They also host live music and wine tastings, I still need to do a tasting with them! Would highly recommend trying them for dinner or lunch.

Yelp
This is my new favorite winery in the east side! I am so amazed by the customer service here! I am so sorry to come back and bring my girlfriends here! Definitely get the wine tasting because it is only $25 compared to one glass which is about 14- $15. Definitely get the charcuterie board to pair with your wine. The ambience is great. It's very well decorated, and there is a private section upstairs, which is really nice if you want to host a party! But the best thing was having great service, and I think the stuff for being so accommodating and so sweet to me!

Yelp
Urban Press is my new go to place for a lovely Sunday Brunch! They have an unlimited brunch delight $45.00 per person. Crab cakes, Lobster Egg Benedict, New York Steak, Carbonera, Dutch Baby and Chicken waffles were amazing!!! Madison our server was attentive and professional (and she had anothet large table of 20 plus). The outside patio was pleasant, not too loud, and clean. Best overall experience- especially on a date.

Yelp
We love Urban Press! By far the best bolognese near by and as an Italian that is saying a lot! Great wine, great food and a lovely outdoor space. A little gem in a very commercialized downtown Burbank.

Yelp
What a quaint cozy find in Burbank. I love the vibe and friendliness of the decor and staff. My friends and I went for brunch and live music on a Sunday. It was a fantastic experience. There's a bar, a main dining room, a wine and barrel room at the end of the main dining space, a loft seating space and a back patio for your enjoyment. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was Belgian and crispy just the way I like it. It was accompanied by 3 large chicken tenders. Personally, I would have preferred bone in wings or thighs, but that just my preference. Someone in our party ordered a charcuterie board that was really an amazing spread. Another ordered a veggie omelet and had nothing but good things to say. And someone else ordered the wild mushroom truffle pizza. While mushrooms a seriously NOT my jam, I heard nothing but praise and moans of delight coming from the mushroom eaters. I've only been here this one time for Sunday brunch and live music from 2-6 pm (roughly). We were privileged to listen to Carolyn Martinez and her world class jazz musicians knock it out of the ballpark with their jazz standard playlist. I imagine this would make for a great first date spot to get to know someone. But be aware, it's a little tight so your neighbor might also be getting to know you as well. I luckily happened upon parking right across the street but there plenty of free parking in the structure behind the building up the hill.

Yelp
Quick update. Huge shout out to our server tonight, Victoria! Who went above and beyond for us tonight. We had a reservation at 7:30 pm. Seated asap but 10 mins went by and no one even came up to our table to greet us or ask for a drink order. I stopped Victoria who was very busy and she went out of her way to help us. She gets a 10 for her amazing service, helpfulness and attitude!!!! Also a quick shout out to Karen, the manager. Loved her!!! Entertainment tonight was fabulous! Highly recommend this place. We ordered a bottle of their 2016 Sryah for $45, spaghetti with mussels and clams, arugula salad with balsamic dressing and a margarita pizza. For desert: tiramisu with fresh raspberries. YUM. Total bill including entertainment fee and tip $140.

Yelp
Where do I start..food was delicious, service was incredible, the ambiance was great for a Friday night as they had live music! The band was Jazzy and played some great tunes . Make a reservation ahead of time to receive free wine tasting Friday through Sunday.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time here. We did a wine tasting the first time, then had our wedding reception (everyone raved about the food and service), and this time we returned for our date night. TL;DR version: service 5/5, food 5/5, wine 5/5 Overall our experiences have been fantastic. The service is phenomenal, and the food is what-you-didn't-know-you-were-craving-good. I would highly recommend making reservations as they do fill up even on weeknights with live music and special events. The outdoor patio had 2 heatlamps running when we got there and we were seated within a few minutes. We were lucky as there was live music and virtually no empty tables inside except on the mezzanine, but as this was our date night, the quieter music playing on the patio was better for conversation. Our server, Andrew, obliged in changing the music to suit our tastes and was surprisingly well versed in Jazz genres. I was initially devastated to hear they were out of truffles as I had been wanting to try the Black truffle fettuccine since I first saw it on the menu. Luckily, after Karen, the GM, introduced herself, I shared my disappointment and she was quickly able to inform me that they were expecting a delivery of truffles within minutes. We ordered the Arugula salad, Ribeye, Black truffle and wild mushroom fettuccine, and finished off with the cannoli and chocolate mousse. We had a bottle of the Zinfandel, a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon, and took another bottle home. The Arugula salad arrived with a hefty pile of shaved Parm, which balanced well with the tangy balsamic and cherry tomatoes. The Ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned, accompanied by beautifully piped creamy mashed potatoes (requested substitute for the baked potato). The fettuccine, omg the fettuccine! The delicately shaved truffles lent their aroma to a rich cream sauce over fresh pasta that had the perfect bite. The cannoli were crisp and creamy with hints of citrus and spice, while the chocolate mousse was decadently rich and airy. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Love it here! Yoon making a reservation we were offered a free wine flight upon arrival as our table was being prepared. The indoor space is so adorable and I love the live music. But the patio is amazing. You forget your in Burbank and just can escape. The food is delicious and the service was on point. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've eaten here twice and thought the food was amazing. But last week a bunch of us ate here and 4 of us got deathly ill from the oysters. I'm still sick. The only people who got sick were those of us who ate the oysters. It would be in your best interest to see to it that your food is safe for consumption. I really do like the place and ambiance but the food needs to be safe. Update: the health dept stated that the batch of oysters was tainted and 12 people got sick here at this restaurant over 3 days including us. It's likely vibrio infection or norovirus. There was a specific type that has gotten people sick from San Diego to LA. They are recalled. This batch was varied but likely same location in Mexico. Tags and tests will help alert public. I appreciate the restaurant responding with concern as they should be. This is a serious matter.

Yelp
I went on a Friday night with a friend to see the band the Subs: Felicia, Danny, and Jovany. The food, service, and music were excellent! We arrived a little early for our reservation and were treated to a wine tasting. There is a bar to sit at where you can see the band, and plenty indoor seating as well as a loft and upstairs patio. The bathroom was cool. I want the wall paper and the sink for my own bathroom. One can dream! It was a nice treat.

Yelp
A nice selection of Italian offerings including aranciata balls (risotto stuffed with cheese, coated with panko and fried) as well as pastas, pizzas and nice main courses. We had salmon, fall off the bone lamb shank and steak in our party as well as the butternut squash pasta. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was evocative of an Italian spot (only bigger!) complete with triptychs and an upstairs

Yelp
You need to experience this place! We did a tasting and the wine is impeccable and delicious. My sister introduced me to this place. The service is wonderful. Karen gave us personal attention and told us about her wine experience in Los Olivos. The food... oh! We love the calimari... the best we have ever tasted. We also had the mussels. They were spicy and oh so yummy. You won't be disappointed!!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed so much about this winery. The ambiance is refreshing, romantic and airy. There's live music, indoor, seating & patio seating. The staff is friendly without being overly attentive, they know the menu very well, they seem like happy people, and that they enjoy their job. My friend and I sat outside on the upstairs patio next to a water fountain. We each had a wine cocktail, I ordered the brunch carbonara, she had some egg dish from the brunch menu and we also had chocolate mousse and a pear for desert. I was ready to go to sleep after that. I would come here again and I would recommend this place.

Yelp
Such cute ambiance. I can't wait to actually come back and have wine and charcuterie. On sunday, they played live music which really added to the experience. The tiramisu was a familiar desert while the pear dessert with cream was something we never had before, but was recommended while we were looking at the menu outside. Service was great and there was tons of seating both inside and outside. Great little date night spot!

Yelp
Came in with some girlfriends a few weeks ago and it was such a nice experience! They had a special on bottles of wine for Mother's Day weekend i think so i bought a few bottles of red blend. The mousse is so good, I've been thinking about it for a while. I might go back tonight for dinner. The service was friendly and quick, very nice staff! Very ascetically pleasing decor!

Yelp
I went to the Urban Press Winery & Restaurant last night. Boy that place has really come into its own. It's a legit Italian cucina. I'm pretty wine snobby. Their 2017 Grenache Blanc was light and bright. Nice balance of fruit and dryness. It paired perfectly with the Caesar's salad. For the main course I had a 2013 Black Label Cab. Which was big and rich and had lovely tannins and was perfect with the Spaghetti. The Caesar Salad was on point. The you could taste the delicate blend of anchovies with the parmigiano. There was no shortage of Parm shavings. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese which was some of the best I've has in Los Angeles. For desert we had the Tiramisu and poached pair. The tiramisu was good, but the pair was outstanding. We ate in the patio mezzanine which had a pair of swamp coolers for the heat and heaters for the cold. The large Italian murals created a lovely scene. The service was excellent and I look forward to going back soon.

Yelp
OK, 2.5 Nowhere near 4.5 stars, sorry folks. A lot of hype but short on substance. The service was courteous but inattentive, and they brought all the food out at the same time, wtf??? The arugula salad was tasty and my lady said the cherry tomatoes were "to die for" but I would've preferred a plain vinaigrette to the balsamic that came with it. The spinach gnocchi were lacking in flavor, as was the "pistachio" sauce; on the plus side, the salmon pieces were nicely cooked, but overall a "meh" dish. Restaurants used to give complimentary bread with meals, but those days are over: here you pay $4 for rolls that were pretty ordinary, and they're super mingy with the butter, to boot. The wine by the bottle (their own brand) was OK, nothing spectacular, but when we ordered a couple by the glass we were served wine that was obviously corked so back it went. Really??? Our server agreed with me and apologized but it would've been more professional (and customer-friendly) to have offered to comp the glasses or at least discount them. There's a wide selection of wines but most of them are varietals I don't care for, or blends that are meant to sound sophisticated but are probably nothing special. I will add that the stemware and flatware are really nice, but that's pretty much it. The room is boomy and narrow, and there are also an upstairs section and an outdoor patio. Full disclosure: I came b/c some old friends were playing music there and I got to sit in during the second set. I think this is the kind of place that hopes to attract people who want to appear sophisticated w/o really knowing too much (this *is* Burbank, lol). The food is ordinary, the wine is as well, and the service is just OK. There are many other (and better) choices available.

Yelp
There's always these random places that you just know about till you ended up there. We wanted to something to do, wine tasting but didn't feel like driving to to the wine country. Of course, looking it up we found this place on Yelp. First off, didn't even know about it. Walking in, it's the tasting room with many selections of wine on display. As well as greeted by a sweet and friendly lady. Not just tasting that's available but it's also a full restaurant. They also have live music depending on what day I believe. We opted for outside seating as it was nice instead of just hanging out at the tasting bar. Inside seating available as well. But upstairs there's the garden area and outdoor seating. Instead of the tasting we just ended up having a bottle of rose. Service was great, everyone was so friendly. Wine selection was quite impressive as well as food. Will Definitely have to make a return next time for a meal.

Yelp
Loved coming here to hear one of my favorite musicians play. His new funky jazz band Jazz Divas was the perfect sound for this location. We made a reservation for dinner and were greeted with free wine tasting. White, rose, and red. Great experience overall. After wine tasting we were taken to our table and noticed the fabulous decor. Very eclectic and unique. The chandeliers over the second bar were to die for. Food: I loooooooved the carrot ginger soup. Vegan, and gluten / guilt free. :) I will come back for it time and time again. My husband got the lamb shank which fell right off the bone and was delicious. A but rich for my taste but delicious. The burrata and prosciutto was spectacular - at $19 seemed a bit pricey but it was huge and most likely imported. Overall my experience was five stars. Ambiance, service, food, location, music. We will definitely be back and bring friends. :)

Yelp
The outside patio makes you feel like you are in a different city. Gilles was our server and recommended wines that were exactly what we asked for. Service was FANTASTIC. The food is light but filling. Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
After several recommendations and high praise from friends, finally made it to Urban Press Winery & Restaurant. It was our anniversary so we were looking forward to an evening of good food and wine. Located in downtown Burbank, we parked in a nearby lot, no cost. The front entrance was slightly dim with decor of pictures, rustic Italian paintings and a elegant chandelier. We were seated in the back near the beautiful wine rack. We were greeted by the server and told about a complimentary wine tasting. I sampled all 3 and ordered a glass of each one. After reviewing the menu, we ordered the Burrata Caprese salad, Margherita Pizza and Jumbo Shrimp. Everything was prepared well and tasted even better. My favorite was the shrimp. For desert, the wine braised pear...excellent! We enjoyed our special night. Looking forward to going again.

Yelp
Had a great time with my girlfriends. Wine and food were all so good. They even have live music, which adds to the awesome atmosphere.
