This place is interesting. Most of the product they sell is good but some it of it inedible. I bought a wrap that was the size of the palm of my hand for $9.95. I opened it and took one bite. It was not good at all. Bitter and bland. I wanted to return it, I had a receipt but the store wouldn't take it back. What kind of store/ restaurant won't take food back that you don't want or like? Especially when you have a receipt... make sure you like what you buy from this place because it's very expensive and they won't return items that aren't tasty. Such a bummer...

Google
So good it's surreal! Clean, bright, quiet MOST AMAZING FOOD OPTIONS. Parking street or structure, but tough. They have discount program. If you are vegan you'll love it. Gluten free ideal! Delicious, healthy, take out or eat in. Healthiest and yummiest food in San Francisco.

Salads are decent and a quick, healthy option in the neighborhood. But the new app-based rewards program is irritating. I had 11 stamps on my recently issued loyalty card, which adds up to roughly around $130 worth of salad purchases. I was not allowed to redeem it because they have suddenly switched the loyalty rewards to their new app. The girl at the counter was unwilling to honor it, didn’t offer an alternative, or extend any other courtesy. Not a huge deal and not something that I deemed worthy of raising an issue about, but there should be an effort to honor existing (especially far along) loyalty cards. A little good customer service goes a long way. This doesn’t encourage me to download their app or be a frequent customer.

Why didn't I come here sooner? Everything is made with high quality ingredients and tastes amazing! I love the chia cups and the raw mousse cacao is divine. I tried a handful of other things and everything seems to be delicious.

Google
If you love raw delicious treats without having to do the work, Urban Remedy makes it easy to stay healthy on the go. The prices are dear, but worthwhile if you're a health nut on the go.

Jason Long

Google
The food is great here, organic, raw, vegan - and the best part is that it always has so much flavor! The mint chip smoothie with raw cacao hits the spot every time!

Cindy Woodlief

Google
Green Berry smoothie this good for only a three block walk? Heaven.

Ricky D Montoya

Google
If you are vegan and want high-end vegan food at a reasonable price my brother is vegan and said this is the best place he has ever been to hands down was Visiting San Francisco and he wanted some vegan food and boy fresh made the same day

Yelp
I've been a supporter of Urban Remedy's fresh takeaway items for years. In fact I have even ordered their green crackers to be shipped to me in the mountains a number of items. When in the Marina area recently - I decided to stop on by Urban Remedy to stock up on their products in person. I was not disappointed. Their staff were extremely helpful - and I manifested some deletable finds. I bought some green juices and some of their Sunsquares - both the original sunflower butter cacao squares and their newer ones - that contain coffee and lion's mane. The Sunsquares are key for a dessert pick me up. They're not cheap - but they taste delicious and they are actually quite filling. I also really enjoy the pre-made thicker nut milk drinks and rich desserts that Urban Remedy makes, but unfortunately many of them contain almonds and cashews, which my body is not a fan of - so I've just been sticking to their crackers, green juices, and Sunsquares. Thanks Urban Remedy for delivering on the quality healthy products. I'm looking forward to stocking up on more soon. Trust.

Crystal X.

Yelp
Urban Remedy has great options for ready-to-eat food and drinks! I keep coming back to their chocolate banana shake - it's packed with plant-based protein and the chocolate and banana flavors are so well balanced. Perfect for a meal replacement or pick me up!

Ghazal P.

Yelp
I wish that instead of focusing on creating more products, you would keep your focus on the quality of your "healthy" food. It is so sad to have to go through every leaf in my salad and separate the black wilted leaves and throw them away.

Elias W.

Yelp
I recently purchased a juice cleanse from Urban Remedy. Their service was awesome, the manager (a man) was knowledgeable and encouraging. He knew the product and I was able to complete a successful 3 day cleanse. The juices were tasty and did what they needed to do. I will make cleansing part of my fitness routine. I also purchased a salad for dinner, fresh and delicious.

Jaclyn B.

Yelp
Everything here tastes delicious, fresh, and bonus points it's healthy! The staff is super friendly, and the store is always clean, stocked, and inviting! I love the chocolate banana smoothies :)

James R.

Yelp
Awful customer service. I tried to call their Union Street store, only to find out that it no longer exists. No info about this on their website or phone service.

Clare L.

Yelp
My favorite nut-milk place in SF! I have been trying their nut-milks, meal replacements and juices for a while. I can say that their nut-milks/ meal replacements are awesome! I love the flavor and texture. Someone found it little thick but I love that it's not watery. Matcha Au Lait 4/5 - Light matcha drink with hint of vanilla, not too strong and good! Blue Magic 5/5 - my favorite! Very filling, good meal replacement, thick consistency, taste like vanilla ice cream with hint of cinnamon! Golden Tumeric 5/5 - my second favorite! Like subtle spice in this drink! Chocolate banana 5/5 - taste just like chocolate banana shake but less guilty, good meal replacement! Green berry 4/5 - berry smoothie, pretty filling! Mint cacao chip 4/5 - you can actually chew those cacao chip and it's pretty good! Warrior 4/5 - another berry smoothie, refreshing compared to green berry! Java shake 2/5 - good meal replacement if you like mocha. I've tried afterparty, cold crusher, digestif, deep cleaning, glow, happy belly, matcha moringa green, turmeric boost, refresh juices. I think I am not a big fan of their juices. I feel pretty clean drinking those juices but I found it too acidic or too clean for my taste. I am going to stick with my nut-milks and meal replacements! Highly recommend this place if you love nut milks!

Mary Catherine F.

Yelp
I gotta warn folks here- I could not finish my Macro bowl and my stomach totally rejected the taste and texture! I REALLY wanted to love it. The people seem great, the location is nice and I have been working hard to move towards eating healthy. The label looked great and it was fresh! The only problem- the taste and texture made me LITERALLY, ACTUALLY, UNFORTUNATELY vomit. I'm not really sensitive to textures or taste, but there was something about the combination of sweet potato, quinoa and cumin chickpeas that instantly turned off my stomach. I tried a few bites and was sad, but determined to carry on after a water break. Then, after less than 1/4 of the bowl, my stomach gave way and chills ran up my spine and I was so disgusted. I could not finish it, and I'm so heartbroken. Giving three stars with the desire to try a different menu item.

Christine H.

Yelp
I love Urban Remedy! It's a great place if you want to grab a quick healthy meal, or if you're like me, and you like grabbing a few to have on hand when you don't feel like cooking. My only gripe is I wish they would bring back some of my favorites... like the burrito bowl or VLT or even the zoodles with pesto. Will any of these ever make a comeback!? I sure hope so! And I have a feeling I'm not alone on this.

Tracie P.

Yelp
Pleasant employees as we talked about us being from the east coast. We decided to get a Superfruit C Shot. It was yummy. I will return my next trip to San Francisco.

Mahsa T.

Yelp
OK I have likely spent about 50% of my disposable income here when I lived in the marina, because their gosh darn beet burgers and chai pudding is so freaking good!!!!! I have filled up my courtesy card multiple times buying fresh vegan meals and treats, including some chocolate mousse thing they make that I feel good about eating! Always very friendly workers and they give out samples a lot. I always spend a good load when getting stuff for the week, but their quality is super awesome. Ok, time to stop sounding like a basic marina girl and end this. Only didn't give them 5 stars because their prices are pretty boughs (overpriced) but what do you expect, it's San Fran-take my money!

Joan W.

Yelp
There are a lot of juice places out there but this is my favorite. I love how their juices are in glass jars instead of plastic like a lot of places There is such a good selection of juices here in all colors of the rainbow. I like to experiment but I tend to stick to the my favorites: Cold Crusher and The Super Green Moringa. The Cold Crusher is zesty and filled with vitamin C. The Spicy Moringa I love because I love the taste of Jalapenos and everything spicy. This one is a real kicker, handle with care if you can't handle super spicy. Don't forget to get a punch card because if you come here a lot you get free juice.

Denise C.

Yelp
I got a matcha drink from here. It was fine for a breakfast drink.

Music Love H.

Yelp
I recommend Urban Remedy for all healthy minded people and they have treats and snacks available. The Salads are very delicious I do recommend trying one of each item if possible. My favorite is the sun-butter chocolate square. And all these juices!! yummy..

Sergio R.

Yelp
I went in recently to get a salad and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. The male manager had began to complain about his working schedule and then continued to talk bad about his employees. Things should really be fixed with this company! I just wanted a salad not a negative environment on my lunch break.

Spartevan V.

Yelp
Have you ever wondered what sour cream and onion zucchini chips might taste like? No? Really? Not even once? Didn't you experiment with "zucchini" in college? OK, OK. So - they taste...... Keto/paleo friendly. And while delicious may be a stretch, they're a satisfactory substitute to spuds. It's that detox portion of my regularly scheduled programming. Urban Remedy is a great spot to make my current spartan diet feel indulgent.

Grant B.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Amazing juice and awesome customer service. Ramon is always very welcoming. Will definitely continue to go here!

Olivia V.

Yelp
I swear by the Cold Crusher juice whenever I'm feeling a little under the weather. It really does work wonders. It's the perfect balance of orange, carrot, lemon, and turmeric. We also are huge fans of their Burrito Bowl and Macro Bowl for lunch because they're healthy, surprisingly filling, and best of all, delicious!

Jt F.

Yelp
Had a Soba Noodles, I didn't know what to expect. But I wanted something light, filling and healthy. I definitely got all of that. They had boxed salad like dishes packaged to go or eat at the tables by window if you'd like to eat it there. They had meal replacement smoothies and a nice helpful staff. The Soba Noodles were so good, gluten-free with cabbage black sesame seeds and almond ginger sauce. I'm headed back to grab a meal replacement for later. Very happy with my choice.

Massiel S.

Yelp
I love this place. If you're feeling healthy, Urban Remedy never fails! Sad they don't have the jalapeño juice anymore as that was the one fave that got me onto this place, but still enjoy their treats from time to time. Personal faves - the almond brownie, seed bar and glow juice when I'm feeling healthy!

Bella B.

Yelp
I love this place. The staff at this location is just awesome. I love their salads and their banana bark is SO GOOD. I haven't tried their soup yet but that's at the top of my list. Cold crusher is the best. Literally I haven't had anything bad come from this place. Costly but so worth it.

Be F.

Yelp
New enthusiastic convert to Urban Remedy! Healthy and delicious, wow, you won't want to miss a bite. Ended up buying a highly recommend blueberry fool for dessert, and (after tasting them) a pack of the ginger brittle, too. At the moment I am loving this raw Pad Thai. Will tuck into a zen salad next time I'm around. What has to happen to convince these guys to open up in our neighborhood? (Watch out for those third-party vendors, though -the Earthly Good place a couple doors down just tried to charge us $3 more for the same thing.) Staff knowledgable too. Update: zen salad was paradise, if you love fresh ginger.

Rick S.

Yelp
The juices in plastic bottles are flash pasteurized- so why am I paying $10 for something that cost $4-5 from other companies? The cost of this company's rapid expansion is juice in the plastic bottles are now shelf stable for 2-3 weeks. Not fresh. Not worth the cost IMHO.

Fancypants X.

Yelp
I love savory vegan foods as much as I love processed junk food. You call it a contradiction, I call it balance. First, the bad news. I prefer other business' juices to Urban Remedy's, as theirs have an aftertaste I don't particularly enjoy, but can't put my finger on. Their vegan desserts (chocolate mousse & chia pudding) haven't turned me against the milky, sugary, gluten-filled ones I normally consumed, and believe me when I say -- I wish they would because it'd be so much healthier. Onto the good. Their salads are delicious, hearty, filling items I wish I could eat weekly (if it weren't for price & location.) Zen salad, quinoa bowl with kale, & kale salad (I don't know the name but it has an amazing garlic dressing) are all wonderful. I love taking one home from their fridge to have for dinner after a day of sweets, alcohol, & heavy/fried foods from neighboring Marina establishments.

Bobbee C.

Yelp
So, I ordered the Vegan Cesar Salad, which is what I usually get and a side of chicken to go with it. Got my order with everything correct and it was yummy as usual. Halfway through my salad I look down and I see a BUG on one of the salad leaves. I was so grossed out and immediately threw the salad away. I get that with any produce it needs to be washed to get and dirt or bugs off of it, but seriously?? I paid almost $20 for this and for it to end up having a bug inside was just disgusting. I will probably not be getting salads from here anymore which is unfortunate because the flavor is good, but I don't enjoy eating bugs with my salad, GROSS

Chrysanthemum A.

Yelp
"The remedy is the experience."- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHki6sF_ypE Urban Remedy is excellent- they're worth the price. They make a superb matcha au lait with green tea. Happy Belly is a delicious fennel-based elixir (there ought to be more fennel-based drinks) Their grasshopper pie is one of the best vegan desserts out there. It is minty chocolaty deliciousness. As for their soba noodles, it's one of the most addictive, filling meals ever, with a savory almond ginger dressing. I look forward to trying their spring rolls, umeboshi salad, cacao mousse, tiramisu, Spicy&Pad Thai, as well as their Blue Magic. Their Blue Magic resembles the blue milk from the first Star Wars movie, tho some have complained that Luke Skywalker isn't a strict vegan (but Urban Remedy's Blue Magic certainly is)- https://www.thedailymeal.com/entertain/luke-skywalker-s-weird-diet-and-other-strange-food-moments-last-jedi Urban Remedy promotes food as medicine. The people are friendly, the service is great. Tho the food is meat, dairy and gluten-free, it's hardly flavor-free! The cure for what ails you. As Hippocrates said, "Let food be your medicine."

Amanda J.

Yelp
Ordered the vegetable pho and spring rolls. the pho was very bland and didn't have any flavor or vegetables. For how expensive this place is I would hope the food would have been a lot better. The best thing was the lemonade.

Kenneth L.

Yelp
UR definitely knows how to market their products. Today was there grand opening and I just passed by to see what the lady in the front of passing out. They had coupons for customers to get one free meal/juice/snack! I picked up a Warrior juice and it tasted great. I generally don't like the complicated juice recipes but I found the warrior to be refreshing. PS : The UR is a stop and shop sorta store.

Katie B.

Yelp
I have passed by Urban Remedy more times than I can count and finally found my way inside. To say that I wanted to try- and buy- EVERYTHING is an understatement. On this visit, I went home with the Cold Crusher juice, vegetable pho, and macro bowl. The Cold Crusher is a perfect blend of orange, turmeric, lemon, and carrot. After tasting the vegetable pho I instantly knew I'd easily be craving it (and, after finding out it's only 35 calories a serving, I realized that I can eat it as much as I want guilt free). Now, I am looking forward to trying the macro bowl- a colorful blend of delicious health. I am so excited that Urban Remedy is so close, so healthy, and so delicious!! Another plus is they open at 7 am so it's the perfect stop on your way to work. Thank you Urban Remedy for making it easy to be healthy!

Joe R.

Yelp
Called ahead of time and their answering machine said they were open, as did their site. Drove all the way over and the sign on the door clearly said they were open another 40 minutes. When I attempted to enter, I got sassed by the girl there stating that they were closed. She refused to sell me anything even though it was in arm's reach. Just terrible service.

Roman S.

Yelp
Today, I have made my mark. The finest of the finest fruit. But no, you will not meet the dark I have found some amazing loot. As you open the door, The contagious energy awaits. This is no eye sore I have taken the bait. As I wander throughout the space I see a smile in the distance From a friendly face Which evades all of our ignored resistance. Taking in new forms of life I ask to try a selection And no, I was not confronted with a knife! Thus I mention... As I sit and think of their warming attitude. I look above, as they put on a show. As they suddenly start to electrocute! Oh my, they sure do get those flies to blow! Thanks To the universe for cultivating such a magical place. To which, I shall bring my mates!

E L.

Yelp
Great service at this store and special food. Kelly helped me out and her knowledge, enthusiasm, and just plain awesomeness led to my family's meal plan for the next few days. As assumed from my sentence above, I purchased several meals here for my family. Their food makes me feel so healthy and the flavors of their salads, desserts and bowls are tasty and satisfying. The founder's recipes and food preparation are pure genius. i.e. the option to buy organic chicken or salmon is so nice. Thanks Kelly and Urban Remedy!! Keep on keepin' on! (always wanted to say that ;)

C M.

Yelp
This is one of the few places that is truthful about sourcing organic food. It's unfortunate that there are several results that show before Urban remedy when searching for organic that I know serve conventional produce and gmo fed meats. Good for urban remedy for being true the values and integrity. Vote for your health and the environment and support UR!

Jasmine X.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a random weekend in Hayes Valley when someone in the store offered me anything in the store for free since it was their grand opening. Pretty amazing. Overall, this place looks like your typical juice and healthy food store that is taking over the city. I tried the freshly squeezed OJ which wasn't bad and some berry based smoothie that was a little too sour for me. Overall, I thought the place was fine, but nothing standout in the city of freshly squeezed juice bars.

Piper N.

Yelp
The juices are very good but I don;t like the prepared food options. They are bland and very overpriced (spring rolls, hummus). The cucumber chips are very good. Service is lovely!

Dennis W.

Yelp
There's definitely a Stevia aftertaste after drinking their smoothies. I'm missing Lite Bite's smoothies. In addition, I prefer just-made drinks and smoothies from Plant Cafe for the same price.

Sue S.

Yelp
Amazing!! I love this place. The only request I have is that they use less soy sauce in their recipes. I usually just dont eat the sauces though and it works out great! The staff are consistently friendly and helpful! Thank you for doing what you do!

Thomas A.

Yelp
Just another Juice shop on Union Street? Not even close. I got a chance to check out Urban Remedy on their opening weekend and was impressed with their welcoming customer service and even better tasting juices and other delicious snacks. First off, they did a great job replacing the former Spuntino di Ottimista cheese shop, which had been closed forever. The interior is a bit sparse, but the hardwood flooring and open concept with the fridges on both sides of the ipad/cash registrar make the space inviting to customers. The fridge on the right is filled with various juice concoctions while the fridge on the left is filled with pre-made food items, including salads, pasta, quinoa, and even some healthy desserts. If you want to try a juice or a snack before you buy it, just ask! The staff when I visited was really generous and allowed me to try the following items as I wandered the store: - Banana Brittle (Organic banana, coconut, sprouted almonds, vanilla, and sea salt) = Yum. - "After Party" Juice (Carrot, Apple, Lemon, Beet Root, Ginger). This sounds fairly terrifying to the not everyday juicer, right? It was so good and I love the fact that all of it was cold pressed and certified ORGANIC, unlike some other juice shops on Union Street. - Vegan tiramisu! Just try it, I promise you'll love it. If you are on Union Street and want something healthy to eat or drink, I urge you to check this place out, especially if the excellent customer service keeps up.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Used to Love this Store! Great food, nice people working there. When I came today there were this guy and girl ( purple haired) sitting behind the register, barely looking up, greeting me as if I was disturbing them. They were bored and unfriendly the whole time I felt very uncomfortable with them. I love the products they sell and I love Neeka, the founder of urban remedy. But these two people really make me Question going there again :-(

Khaoula B.

Yelp
This is not a rating for the people working here or even the store itself but the one star is for Urban remedy. I wanted to warn people who pay close attention to their diet. I stumbled upon their green crackers roughly three years ago. I was so thrilled something so filling and so healthy for 120 calories ! I have a dehydrator at home and I made similar veggie crackers in the past but the hustle was so not worth it. Been having these every single day since - they replaced my lunch - every single day no exception . Recently they updated the nutritional facts : they are 570 calories a bag!! How could they have been so off!! I feel so misled. Result: have been roughly 500 calories over what I thought was a sensible calorie budget - I don't count every morsel but I had an overall range in mind - this update is not a rounding it makes a huge difference . they increased the prices last year from 4.50 to 5.5 (23% increase) that did not deter me from buying them but this new update was bad and good news! Will never have these again (the ONLY thing I buy there) their juices are supermarket quality and I d rather do mine at home. I am very disappointed :( But am going to save 165 dollars a month and I guess 450 calories !! I eat pretty healthy so I can get all the nutrients from the rest of my food-

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I was on my to work an event at Sephora. I woke up not feeling my best and saw the store. I went in and was greeted by a staff and was so helpful. Told her that I wasn't feeling well...perhaps a bug coming on. She gave me a juice to work on a cold and I also got an extra spike of Immuno. I drank the Immuno - and then finished my juice. By the afternoon I was beginning to feel so much better. When I finished I went back in to tell her how I felt. I have to say I will be back for more. Give them a chance as it works.

Mandy A.

Yelp
If you're on the Whole 30, following a Paleo diet, avoiding grains or gluten - THIS is THE place for you. Their Zucchini Fettuccine Marinara, Zucchini Fettuccine Pesto, and their organic Pad Thai - are all amazingly delicious and totally guilt-free. Each dish is generous in it's portions and flavors. For the quality and freshness of the ingredients, you're definitely getting your money's worth. Prices are reasonable. Urban Remedy is dedicated to keeping things anti-inflammatory, whole, natural and low in sugar. Biggest perk? It's so hard being able to eat out while on the Whole 30. Urban Remedy gives you a little break from all the cooking and gives you the ability to pick up a packaged lunch or two without packing in the preservatives.

Kayla M.

Yelp
I love this place. It is so hard for me to resist going daily! I love their Mint Cacao drink, it is yummy and has lots of nutrients. I also enjoy their bowls, the macro bowl is my favorite and fills you up! Everything is pretty much organic and clean, which for SF I believe it is reasonably priced.

Andrew W.

Yelp
I really would like to give this place a higher rating, as I do my best to support restaurants that serve healthy food, and this place does have organic, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free foods galore, but the portions are very small and the prices pretty outrageously high even for SF. Plus many of their items are smothered in sour tasting vinaigrette sauces. Yuck!

Diana J.

Yelp
Food arrived 3 days late and all warm. I have called 3 times and have sent 4 emails, even an Insta message with no response. This order was over $200, I have spent a GREAT deal more money with Urban Remedy online and also purchases in Whole Foods. If they don't care anymore because they have been sold off..... then that is a shame to see. Awful service and quality has gone way down on food, as well as portion sizes. FYI, this is my first review ever that is negative for ANYTHING! Ugh...

Dan B.

Yelp
Little kids fake sick so they can have ice cream for dinner. Being an adult, I uhh, cough cough... sniffle sniffle... I think I need another Refresh (dat chlorophyll doe) and PB&J (such a treat) to get over this cold...

Tara Z.

Yelp
I typically order lunch here multiple days in a row when visiting for work. The food is EXTREMELY fresh, full of flavor, and satisfying. I have also had meals delivered to me in Chicago on three separate occasion. The cooler is very sturdy and the meals arrive to me in perfect condition and last me through busy weeks when I don't have time to cook. The pad thai, spring rolls, mint chocolate smoothie, and umbeyoshi bowls are just a few of my favorites. Try everything!

Vicky L.

Yelp
Ummm... they put STEVIA in a ton of their juices and smoothies when it's totally not even necessary. WHY RUIN A GOOD THING?! Now the smoothies (I had the mint cacao chip and also the banana almond milk) and the juices (tried the green cleanse) have an odd taste to it. Thanks, but no thanks.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this store and decided to take a look inside. The gal behind the register was really nice. There were samples already set out for people to try. My fav was their matcha energy bar!! So good!

Sabina H.

Yelp
Delicious! I try to order from them at least 2x per month. Amazing food and the package arrives on time and is packed neatly. The cold pressed drinks are amazing and the pre-made salads are incredible. My two favorites salads are the Tabbouleh Hummus Bowl & the Purple Potato Salad. So good and filling!
