For a Catch-All Menu at the Wharf, Dive Into Urban Roast’s New Digs | Eater DC

"Smaller than the original but set on the bottom corner of the flashy Amaris condos, this Wharf outpost still delivers the expert espresso martinis, gregarious staff, and expansive all-day menu I expect. The Buffalo chicken dip remains a hit here in a tighter, shareable portion, and the silver saucer of smokehouse beef brisket shouldn’t be missed; both land with impossibly thin tortilla chips that won’t fill you up. On my last visit, the soup of the day was an Andouille sausage–stuffed jambalaya that tasted far better than its brown‑sludge looks. A squeaky slab of halloumi comes honey‑glazed and sesame‑studded with delightfully fluffy pita, and grilled shrimp marinated in the house sweet chile sauce get a crunchy contrast from onion flakes. Starters run about $9–$17, mains sit in the $30s, and cocktails arrive with fresh garnishes. The mirrored bar plays sports on one side and movies on the other, while fire‑fed patio lanterns and winter igloos make the most of the outdoor real estate." - Tierney Plumb

Urban Roast just put up their Christmas decor and it is absolutely gorgeous, the whole place feels magical and so cozy. The attention to detail in the decorations alone makes it worth the visit. We started with the mozzarella sticks and the dynamite shrimp and both were so good, super flavorful with a beautiful presentation. I ordered the brown sugar espresso martini and it was perfect best espresso martini out there. For my entrée, I had the short rib and it was honestly fantastic — tender, flavorful, and delicious. The ambiance, the service, the food, everything came together for a great experience. I’m definitely coming back tomorrow, especially for brunch!

It was an incredible experience from start to finish. I had the salmon perfectly cooked, full of flavor. I also tried one of their seasonal drinks, which was absolutely amazing. The service was exceptional. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and outstanding hospitality.

Urban Roast was a great experience overall. The short rib was incredibly delicious (very tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly). It was easily the best part of the meal. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable, and the service was friendly. I’d definitely come back, especially for the short rib.

This is a great new spot! I came here after visiting the original Urban Roast location and I am glad to say it was just as good! The vibe is a little different this place has more outdoor then indoor seating but is still beautifully decroated and Kneesh gave me great service! Definitely try the salmon and the espresso martini flight! will be back!

The restaurant is decorated well, and our server, Amanda, was very personable. I do think that it is very overpriced. I ordered a dirty martini and my wife had one cup of tea and the total came to $29. The martini was listed for $16, but they charged me $20. There was no price for the tea and that ended up being $5. I did ask for an itemized receipt before paying and was told that I will only get that after I swipe my card. Normally I’d push back but it was my birthday and that was our last stop of the evening and we just wanted to go home. If you feel like paying $30 for one drink and one tea with a decent atmosphere, this is your spot. I just wish that their transparency was better, especially with a service fee that I only became aware of after paying. We won’t be going back due to shady/hidden pricing and not being provided a receipt when asked. That is ridiculous.

I visited Urban Roast in Washington, DC and I absolutely loved it! From the moment you walk in, the place has such a fun and vibrant vibe — full of flowers, lights, and details that make every corner feel special and photo-worthy. The food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing (especially the espresso martini 🤎), and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Everything came out on time, and you can tell the team really cares about their guests. The atmosphere is modern, colorful, and cozy, perfect for going out with friends, on a date, or celebrating something special. The outdoor fire pit area adds such a nice touch at night! I’d definitely come back again and again ✨ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amanda was incredible! We had been to a concert at the anthem and showed up late to our reservation. She was the best and took a bunch of photos for us! Our drinks were amazing and she is the best ever!

Probably one of the worst dining experiences on The Wharf. After making a reservation a week and a half in advance and arriving 30 minutes early for a 2pm igloo reservation, we are seated late. We questioned the manager about the wait and we were informed that it would be a moment later. After finally being seated we waited another 20 minutes and were not even offered a beverage, not a soul care to the table. I am writing this as I sit, without a drink and no acknowledgment from the waitstaff even though being seated here for 30minutes now.
