We had a birthday party of 24 in the enclosed patio. Service was great and we were in and out at about 2 hrs and we even had to wait on some people to order. Food was great and fresh!!! The new England clam chowder was so delicious and thick. The 1/2 dozen oysters tasted really fresh. Highly recommend. Shari had the pasta special, baked Alaska, and the amazing white chocolate bread pudding! My absolute favorite though was the seafood bloody Mary! It was like a drink and an appetizer in 1!

Dropped by here for happy hour. To be honest, not a very big happy hour list. They did have great $1 oysters though! Overall the spicy seafood pasta was delicious and plentiful. My wife ordered the cioppino and it also was full of seafood. Overall quality was good and service good. Would come again for the oysters and food.

Whether date night, or in our case, family dinner, Urban Seafood delivers. Great location, a menu of many choices, nice ambiance. The kids had fish and chips, they loved it. It was fresh and not greasy like many I’ve had in the past. The Spanish octopus, halibut, and lobster roll were also all great.

Went here over lunch and our server was great. Even remembered another guest from their previous visit. Cracker/chips are crunchy, butter was soft in the little oyster shell. Tuna dip was pretty good. Soft shell crab good. Chicken for our non-seafood lover was excellent. My yellowtail was great and the honey brussel sprouts lightly charred and only slightly sweet. Loved it and couldn't finish our plates, but I sure took carrot cake home anyways 😉

Google
One of the best drinks I have tried. Excellent service. Flavor and seasoning is very good. Very clean place. Relax atmosphere, perfect for girls night out! Or a date. I loved their flooring. This place is going to be on my favorite places to go, definitely!

Google
Another wonderful date night venue and this time in downtown Plano! The venue is fairly large with a main dining area as well as an oyster bar. I loved the view to the kitchen… nice touch! My date had a glass of wine and I ordered the pineapple martini. We chose the grilled octopus appetizer and for entrées we shared the seafood pasta and the Branzino! The seafood pasta had plenty of seafood: shrimp, mussels, and clams with a nice tomato-based sauce. The Branzino was perfect! Our server was pleasant, attentive and expertly deboned and filleted the fish. This was a first for me. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Google
Great selection of seafood, everything I've tried thus far has been very tasty. Service has been great each time. Large open space with great drinks, great food and a nice place to meet for a casual lunch or dinner with a group of friends.

Google
Specializing in seafood with an array of options, the restaurant offered a diverse menu. Opting for a white wine to complement our oysters, we indulged in a platter featuring four varieties, with the Canadian variety standing out for its briny sweetness. My choice of the seafood pot, or cioppino, simmered in a tomato broth, proved to be a delightful choice, especially when paired with crusty bread for dipping. While the chowder was satisfactory, I wished for a richer, more concentrated flavor. Seared scallops emerged as another standout option, showcasing the chef's skill. As for the crab cake, while prepared in a slightly healthier manner, I personally prefer a more intense flavor profile with a hint of char.

Yelp
I have eaten at Urban Rio a few times and loved it, so I had a feeling I'd like this place too. It did not disappoint! In fact it was so good, I actually came back a week later!! The lobster roll is their signature menu item, and it lives up to that status. I'm always cautious ordering lobster rolls from a new place because often you end up paying $30 for about 2oz of lobster meat swimming in mayo. The lobster roll here is PERFECT! Huge chunks of lobster meat cooked perfectly and served simply in an amazing roll with a side of drawn butter. Like I said, it was so good I came back a week later to have it again. The oysters here are also AMAZING! I'll definitely be back for their happy hour where the oysters are just $1! Service here is friendly and quick. The space is nice and clean. I loved the patio area, which is actually closed off and air conditioned surrounded by huge windows. Definitely sit there if you can. The inside is pretty dark and feels crowded, but it's still nice.

Janelle J.

Yelp
We got here around 5:30pm on Friday. I honestly did not expect it to be a full house but they were pretty busy. That's a good thing! We got sat right away on the inclosed patio. It is a beautiful restaurant but I was uncomfortable with where we sat, which was right next to someone. It was too close. The couple we were next to (who also was their first time there, were talking about it as well). I sucked it up because I knew there was probably not another place to sit. It was also pretty loud too. Steve was our sever. He is amazing. His great personality and service was on point. It definitely helped with the seating situation. I love the complimentary, crunchy cheese flatbread with the honey butter. The drinks were delicious and the fish and chips were really good. We will be back to try their happy hour! I'll make sure we get there early.

Frank P.

Yelp
Got an order on the goo!! First time ever trying oysters so went with the grilled oysters as a first time, super flavorful & tasty will be moving to trying raw oysters next. Lobster roll was amazing as well, really get the lobster flavor through. The lobster Mac & cheese I'll have to give it a okay, I think with a lighter runny cheese would be better maybe some type of white cheese with a buttery lemon hint to it to give the lobster its flavor to balance out. Over all will be coming again. Will definitely be dinning in next time the ambience is calm & relaxing.

Tony P.

Yelp
We went to try this seafood place in downtown Plano. We ordered Grilled Bronzino, New England Clam Chowder and the side of crispy chips. They're all delicious. Our server, Steve did the work of filleting the grilled Bronzino. A cozy place where you can have a casual romantic dinner. Clean restaurant and lots of parking. This is a hidden gem in the eastern part of Plano.

Laura V.

Yelp
This seafood place is AMAZING! I don't know how I never heard about it until a local recommended it. The lobster roll is phenomenal, savory, to drool for, etc! It's a must try for sure. Damian was very helpful, engaging & pleasant. He made my passionfruit margarita flavorful. My fiancé & I went for lunch but we would definitely go back for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful inside, they also have an outside covered patio.

Zabby D.

Yelp
Still love it! New drink specials. New appetizers. New oysters!!! Chill place right by the square with outdoor seating!

Daniel C.

Yelp
Consistently great seafood! We came here on a Friday afternoon and luckily we were able to grab a table without much of a wait. My wife and I have been here a couple of times and the wait can vary drastically. Highly recommend getting on the wait list on Yelp during busy times. We started our meal with a dozen chargrilled oysters. The oysters were delicious, but not as meaty and fairly small compared to previous visits. It was a bit disappointing since we specifically come here for the oysters. For our meal we both ordered the stuffed shrimp, one with veggies and the other with a loaded baked potato. The shrimp was cooked well, the stuffing was delicious, and the sauce they use really accentuates the taste of the shrimp. The veggies were flavorful and the baked potato was filling. Overall service was good. They did make our drink order twice by accident, and eventually our waitress brought over the second round as a courtesy since they would go to waste. The ambiance this time around was not great, excessively loud to the point I had a hard time communicating with my wife. This is not normal and it may have been a result of being close to the bar. Even though there were some opportunities during the visit, this restaurant is worth a visit if you're in the mood for great seafood. Highly recommend the chargrilled oysters and the lobster bisque!

Callie J.

Yelp
Love this place! It's quaint and cozy. Cute place for family night or date night. We had the best waiter who gave us plenty of time to (literally) order our way through the menu. They have a lot to offer in the way of seafood and "specials". We did all apps this round: oysters, mussels, crab cake, baked goat cheese, and calamari. Everything is well seasoned and shareable. We also tried the Brussels sprouts and lobster Mac and cheese. Brussels we're amazing. Lobster Mac was meh. It felt a little lacking in cheese. Currently, they also have crawfish, but unfortunately, they were a little over cooked and quite a few in our order were dead so we couldn't eat them. That's just a seasonal thing anyway, so I don't hold it against them. Also worthy to note, they don't seem to overcharge on alcohol. Which will always keep us coming back here. It's just an easy place for a good meal.

Alice L.

Yelp
Came during a busy holiday & the only available seating was at the bar. Ordered the crab claw appetizer & lobster roll. Service was prompt & attentive & food was decent but there are other seafood restaurants that I would prefer to go to.

L R.

Yelp
Delicious! Lobster bisque was great. Had a paste seafood special. Also delicious. Service was great. I will absolutely return again.

Clau D.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant twice now... doesn't impress me... food is meh!!! Ciopinno- was ok! Calamari overcooked, the tomato base needed more seasoning. Fish & Chips- needed more seasoning Wedge salad- needed more dressing, too much onions. Oysters- were good. Goat cheese- was ok Service, could improve a little more, no food ir suggestions.. waiter came to the table three times at the most. Ambiance is ok. Music volume was good.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Oh man, this is one of my favourite seafood restaurants in all of Dfw! Sometimes there's a long waitlist to get a table! Don't know what to get? Can't go wrong with everything! Haha, all the food here is amazing. I've gotten their crab stuffed dishes, oysters , lobsters, all sorts of fresh catches and etc. definitely been here many times and I feel like it's well worth the 5 stars! The staff are well trained and super helpful. Can't wait to be back!

Kady L.

Yelp
Great $1 oyster! Although there was 4 different kinds... only 1 flavor is $1 and it was in fact really good. Highly recommended. Honestly, anything off the menu will be good. Also ordered the seafood chowder and it was delicious. Their starters which is the chip like bread and butter was good too! Their happy hour menu isn't so great but it something. Please add more :)

Nisha R.

Yelp
I have always been curious about this restaurant. I drive past it often, but never stopped. I finally gave it a try. So I have been here multiple times recently...three times to be exact so this review is compiled from all my visits. Let me start with favorite menu items first. The drinks were good. I love the frozen velvet hammer. It's rich, thick and full of flavor. Think boozy ice cream treat. This is 5 stars! The mimosa is your classic orange juice and champagne and was perfect. OMG...wood grilled oysters are delicious. They have a yummy lemon sauce. I forgot to take a picture and ate them all three visits. They are so DAMN GOOD! You get six and they are pricey, but worth it for a special treat. Lobster whole was ok. Price was great, but boring no flavor. I wasn't excited at all. Texas Red Fish is ok. It tasted very healthy and that's not a bad thing. I just thought the sauce could be better and more flavorful. Baked Alaska dessert presentation was AMAZING! I didn't try it, but the table seem to like it. Along with the white chocolate bread pudding. Service is ok, the staff seems somewhat friendly. Ambiance is nice and the restaurant looks clean. I love the color and decor. I like the overall feel of the restaurant. The color and tones make it feel cozy. To sum it up I love the wood grilled oysters. They are my favorite. I highly recommend and on all 3 visits ordered this item. So scrumptious and flavorful. The red velvet hammer is one delicious cocktail please order it. It may seem a bit strong, but it's amazing. I enjoyed myself and definitely will be back for oysters and cocktails. The entree's haven't impressed me yet. They have been average overall.

Yelp
This place is outstanding! Everything we ate was delicious. Very surprised to get in there on a Saturday afternoon and not have to wait to be seated, do yourself a favor and give it a try...I am not sure who the Chief is but keep that person happy and in heavy rotation. Bloody Mary started us off, nice rang to it, I had the Halibut and it was still very fresh and had great flavorings. For desert we all shared a baked Alaska....decadent for sure. We then had to walk around Olde Town Plano and window shopped with friends to work off Lunch/Brunch.

D K.

Yelp
Dropped by here for happy hour. To be honest, not a very big happy hour list. They did have great $1 oysters though! Overall the spicy seafood pasta was delicious and plentiful. My wife ordered the cioppino and it also was full of seafood. Overall quality was good and service good. Would come again for the oysters and food.

Adrian C.

Yelp
The food choices were great. Service was kind and fast. The mood was elegant but not overdone. We had a private room for an engagement celebration and enjoyed the private TV and fish tank.

Kristina A.

Yelp
We came here last night with some friends and it was great! Atmosphere - super cute. The lighting is low and the tables/chairs are divine. I really enjoy the ambiance here! It's great for a date night! Service - our waiter was fantastic. He was very attentive and recommended some great places. Food - while it's not pictured, I ordered the grouper and it was pretty good and perfectly flaky! The baked Alaska dessert was AMAZING. I also got an espresso martini (subbed out the Bailey's for kahlua) and it was great. I highly recommend! Any of the Plano "urban" restaurants are wonderful and always hit the spot!

Martha L.

Yelp
Took my daughter, who was visiting, to have dinner. I had eaten there once before and was impressed by the overall atmosphere, the service, and of course, the food. I had the wood grilled shrimp and crab stuffed shrimp for my previous order. The presentation was beautiful. The food was hot , fresh, and delicious. I bragged to my daughter about the food and the restaurant. Eager for her to also experience a new delightful restaurant, for us, I couldn't wait to take her so that she could share the same delightful meal that I had previously eaten. Last night we decided that we would go for dinner. We ordered the wood grilled oysters and wood grilled shrimp to start our dining experience. Great presentations and delicious. We weren't disappointed in any way. I had not had a lobster roll and thought this was a great opportunity for me to have one. My daughter ordered a cup of the lobster bisque. What a let down! Both dishes were tasteless. I don't understand how they missed the mark on both dishes. I can't express the degree of disappointment that I felt when I attempted to eat the lobster roll and tasted the bisque. No flavor in either. Our server was so sweet and attentive. I never send food back , however, last night was the exception. I reordered the stuffed shrimp with mixed vegetables. True to form , it was delicious. My daughter, didn't reorder anything. I would probably go again, however, for my taste, my choices are more limited.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were seated immediately and had water and crackers to our table. My wife ordered the Frozen Cape Cooler and absolutely loved it. We ordered the mussels appetizer and it was pretty good but my wife isn't a huge fan the tomato sauce it came in, more for me! I ordered the Cioppino whah is what server Amy suggested as it was her favorite dish, she was right. My wife ordered the seafood pasta the restaurants most popular dish. She liked it but once again too much sauce/gravy for her. The restaurant is overall really nice and the food was delicious. We have now been to all the Urban restaurants in the area and all are pretty damn good.

Jerry W.

Yelp
Having been twice now, my wife and I enjoy the place. The stuffed shrimp is killer, as is the Mahi. The last time, I had ordered the snapper. I had no idea I was ordering a whole fish. Way more than I could eat! Additionally the server needs additional training on deboning, as there were many little bones still there. One of the best things on the menu is the clam chowder. Thick and chunky and chock full of good stuff, it will be a go to for me. Finally, the air conditioning system isn't quite up to thectask of Texas weather.

Don B.

Yelp
Great seafood place. Lots of fresh options. Fresh oysters, boil and eat shrimp, fried or baked or grilled fish. You can't miss with this place.

Guy H.

Yelp
They hit my top 4 hot buttons of food quality, service, atmosphere, and price. However, it's just not that simple, fortunately. Nothing impresses me more than a smooth-running business model and these guys have it nailed. Let's start with Tilapia...Not! Yea...I'm so tired of seeing that on menus. Here you get a true variety of wild-caught oceanic dwellers. Some examples are swordfish, rockfish, black sea bass, Mediterranean branzino, Prince Edward Island Mussels, Littleneck clams, gulf grouper,Panama Kampachi....etc You get the picture. A real seafood restaurant. What a pleasure. The place is all hard surfaces and can be loud but, its not impersonal. I found the design comfortable if not slightly industrial. Our server was very knowledgeable, unintrusive, and professional. The manager stopped by our table right as we were finishing up our entrees, with an engaging exchange. I later found out she comped our dessert since it was our first time in. I love sophisticated customer-building skills. Our meal was great and included the wild-caught Massachusetts Black Sea bass and the Texas redfish. Both were perfectly prepared and both sported a nice lobster brandy reduction. Finally, the tab at the end was about 1/2 what I've been paying around town for a similar meal lately, leaving me thrilled. I recommend you check it out for yourself and just... Go!

Linh T.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place is you like seafood! Quality is superb! From their lobster roll to the catch of the day, everything was so good! Our waitress was so friendly and patient with us! The manager even came by our table to check on us! Service was 10/10!

David L.

Yelp
Food - 3 Service - 5 Value - 3 Restrooms - 4 I've been here a couple of times now and I really want to like this place more as the service is great and the menu selection is quite appealing. However, I've found the food to be average really for the price and in the end there are other seafood places I'd rather to go to if I'm going to be spending the same amount of money. Restrooms are modern and clean.

Juanita W.

Yelp
We had a party of nine this evening to celebrate two birthdays! For the majority of us it was our first time. We actually loved the private room (Ben I think we have you to thank). We were able to hear each other! It was a great experience! Our waitress was on point and I hate that I forgot her name. Our feedback on the food is as follows: Shrimp & Crab Gumbo was too thick and salty. The Clam chowder was too think The Mac n cheese lobster flavorless. Fresh Catch Wild Alaskan Soho Salmon had a smoky flavor. There were different sauces to chose from. I went with the waitress recommendation of buttery w/lemon sauce and am so glad that I did! I also enjoyed my charred Brussel sprouts with a little bit of honey. The Stuffed Shrimp with Crab Meat delicious. We plan on returning for the Brunch!

Rachel G.

Yelp
Great selection of seafood, everything I've tried thus far has been very tasty. Service has been great each time. Large open space with great drinks, great food and a nice place to meet for a casual lunch or dinner with a group of friends.

Mikhael W.

Yelp
Wow! Located on the east side of Plano...I think...a sight for sore eyes... I observed a lady walk in with her hubby and 2-3 year old and walked out, muttering, this place is too nice... Yes! It's exquisite and looks to be quite expensive but it's reasonably priced for why you get! A large fish sandwich, salad, and fries for $15?!? Where else can you find that?!? Great lunch special going on. The fish is fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was kind and attentive but not annoying...all positives in my book! The carrot cake was the true star of the show. unfortunately , it was an LTO thing, but I pray it makes its return soon. The overly sweet icings really make my belly ache but this was sweetened just right. Good job urban seafood company. I, normally, delete restaurants I've had bookmarked for too long but I knew there was a special reason I kept you in the queue. ;-)

Flash Y.

Yelp
This is a great seafood place in Plano. The decide is clean and thoughtful. Open window to the kitchen and wood grill adds extra confidence to what's happening in the kitchen. The bar is well stocked. The crab cake is a nice starter and the fish & chips is lightly battered, but yet crispy. It's a great spot. Definitely will be back.

Frank S.

Yelp
Took the family here for lunch today and the atmosphere, food and service were all wonderful!!! Plus, the servings were ample and the prices extremely reasonable for the quality and presentation. The lobster mac-n-cheese was perfect, just a nice light cream sauce and lots of lobster pieces throughout. My Cioppino was fantastic!!! Absolutely loaded with fish, clams, muscles, calamari, baby octopus and large shrimp in a nice warm light broth. How can they sell this for only $23??? Comes with two pieces of grilled sourdough bread. Eggs Benedict Crab Cakes was the next "oh wow"! Comes with baked sweet potato and spinach mixture. We loved our meals and our waiter Steve was fun and entertaining, you'll have a hard time out witting him! Abe is the manager, we had to ask for him on our way out to tell him how much we appreciated the meal. We'll be back next week with the in-laws, they will love Urban Seafood Company even more than we did!

Irene M.

Yelp
Urban Seafood never disappoints. Every meal That we have had has been five stars. The signature dish, the Lobster roll served warm with melted butter and sea salt fries makes you feel like you are on the east coast. Perfectly Seasoned grilled red fish with market veggies and a lobster brandy sauce that made the meal come together. Service is always great and the staff very attentive.

Chelsea M.

Yelp
We are so happy with this addition to the "Urban" family of restaurants in downtown Plano! (If you don't know, they are newest sister restaurant to Urban Rio and Urban Crust!) I would suggest this as somewhere to go for a little more upscale (for East Plano!) date night, nice dinner with friends, or for a business happy hour/dinner. I took my mom and grandma back within a week of trying it this first time since we old had apps and drinks! 4 stars vs 5 only because the crab legs ordered on second visit weren't impressive (and while not the most expensive crab on menu, still not cheap!)

Beryl D.

Yelp
Came here with my family in January, and boy were we impressed! Everything was delicious. The servers were super sweet as well. The ambiance was nice. Busy enough to tell it's good, but not so much that it's a turn off.

Alejandra M.

Yelp
Ambiance - 8/10 , clean and modern. I was seated at a rather large booth. Super comfortable and loungy. Service - 10/10, I feel horrible for not remembering my servers name but she was a light skinned black woman with a short cut and was also bartending on Tuesday night. She was fantastic and very accommodating. Food - 8/10, I wanted to give this a 9/10 but I only tried a few items here and can't speak for the entire menu. Crispy Creel - 8/10 nothing too fancy, just your basic fried seafood bits but absolutely no complaints about this dish. Lobster Roll - 8/10, served warm with garlic butter, no need for lemon as it is served with all the fixens ready to go. Lobster was fresh and tender. I would get this again. Cioppino - 10/10 OH MY GOD ! This was incredible. Everything in this stew was fresh and tasty. My mind was blown by how flavorful it was. Perfect for the cold weather. I would return back to this spot just for the Cioppino. I came in on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm, it wasn't very busy and I didn't need a reservation. No fuss, just straight to our table and onto good eats. Chill vibes, casual but upscale. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend this to anybody.

Janet D.

Yelp
We just happened upon this restaurant looking for fish in the area. Delightful staff and relaxed atmosphere. We were seated in the front area which is pretty tight, my husband had a convo with the lady at the table next to him which was elbow length away! We didn't mind but would ask for another area if it was date night We order oysters, salmon clam chowder to share. It was all perfectly prepared and delicious. We will definitely go back!

Jannie T.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Everything from the food to the service was impeccable. Make a reservation and ask for Steve as your waiter - he was funny, attentive and just overall amazing. We ordered oysters on the half shell, the charred Spanish octopus, scallops and salmon - everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. We can't wait to go back and try other items!

olga z.

Yelp
Every time we visit Urban Seafood Company I'm impressed by how hip and busy the place is. I love the ambience and the service, our server was very knowledgeable and eager to help. But food is my favorite part of the experience. The oysters were very fresh and tasty, and Cioppino was one of the best ones I've ever had, and I had the original in SF! Such a fun place for a date or group dinner. Highly recommend.

Hope C.

Yelp
Overall I think the experience was average. I was expecting superb seafood for all of the previous reviews but we were a bit disappointed. Meet orders the mussels, grilled oysters, salmon, stuffed shrimp, lobster roll, branzino, and filet mignon. The fish and stuffed shrimp were all over cooked. The lobster was delicious and the steak was slightly under cooked. For the price, I would have expected the filet to be perfect. For the hype of the restaurant being a seafood destination, I would have expected amazing fish. The server was great and very attentive. Given the options in the nearby areas, I won't drive 30 min to get back here anytime soon.

Josh P.

Yelp
First time eating here. The service - 5 stars. The food - 3 stars. Crab cake was too much cake, not enough crab. Was not lump crab meat for sure. I had scallops which were fine but sandy - I don't know if a restaurant can control that but it detracted from the food. Partner had striped bass which she said was overcooked. May or may not be back. Prices were reasonable.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Stop charging premium for food then charge extra for lime jalapeños, everything. I got the fajitas and they were average. Harley no meat, could have gone to taco cabana for the same meal and actually got full. Also your staff is rude when we asked for jalspenos for nachos the guys says they are 1.00 do you want them or not! Not nor will I be back good luck! Not sure how long this will last!

Kanea M.

Yelp
This is a great date night spot, has the clean, high end, interior design, where you know a lot of thought was out into space planning. When you walk in, you can see the fresh selection at the raw bar, there's a dining room and then there's a patio to the right that can be opened up for outdoor dining. The food selection is not over whelming, they have their core menu and their seasonal menu featuring specials. We came in for a drink and light grazing! We ordered some oysters from the raw bar, the octopus appetizer, and a recommended cocktail. The oysters were served with 3 sauces plus a hot sauce and fresh lemons. The octopus was very tender, great flavors happening with the onions, garlic, and the fresh chick pea spread. The cocktail was also smooth, not overly sweet, no artificial aftertaste! I'm not giving 5 stars due to the persuasion to sit on the patio, even when my husband said he didn't want to be cold. Yes they closed the windows, but it's like they insisted we sit there. The server was nice and provided some great menu advice, plus the table side presentation on how he mixed the drink, added the espresso and served the cocktails!

Linda H.

Yelp
One of my favorite seafood places to dine in is in Plano! Urban seafood has quite the selection for oysters. I love that they get different types of oysters year round. Our server was very helpful and attentive. The lobster roll and lobster Mac n cheese is a must! If you haven't had one, this place doesn't disappoint.

Mahauganee S.

Yelp
I'm going with a 3 because the service was good, the place looks nice and clean, and the two people I was with enjoyed their food. My food was not good and if I'd come alone the rating would be lower. But let's hop into it. For starters we ordered: --clam chowder: it was delicious but so rich that a whole bowl was a bit much --wedge salad: the waiter asked if we wanted it chopped up. One did and one ordered it regular with the bacon on the side. It was not the best wedge salad I've ever had, but was pretty good. For entrees: --Oysters Rockefeller: person who ordered them like them --Branzino: this was ordered off the special menu and was honestly the reason we came. The presentation was grand. It came out on a platter and was deboned at the table, which honestly makes the experience of eating the fish better (to not have to pick around the bones). We ordered it with the lemon butter (other options were chimichurri or lobster sauce). It was cooked well but unseasoned...had to add salt to get the flavor --Red Fish: it was over cooked but the lobster sauce served wi Ty it was tasty. I barely ate any of it. On both the fish entrees, we subbed the mixed veggies for Brussel sprouts. To say the least, they were over cooked (roasted to the point of burnt and wilted...not the good roasting that leaves a little crunch and charring) and the honey flavor was weird for me. About the deboning of the Branzino, I realized after the fact that the guy who did the deboning took the head of the fish back with him, and didn't pull any meat from there. Whenever we have branzino, we look forward to the cheek meat. I'm certain they know there's cheek meat, so I'm confused as to why that's not part of the deboning process. Also, as an aside, our waiter tried to talk us out of ordering the Branzino, multiple times before putting the order in. He cited the time to make it as 45 minute and that we'd have to wait. He tried suggesting other items and was visibly disappointed when we ordered the Branzino anyway. To try to redeem my meal (an okay wedge salad and an inedible red fish), I ordered a dessert, the crème brûlée. The flavor was great but the custard underneath the sugar glaze was completely soupy at the bottom, like maybe the dish wasn't fully frozen before they fired it for me. The waiter was upbeat and attentive. He did check in on our meal and I decided not to complain about my red fish as I really didn't want anything else and assumed a replacement would be much the same.

Yelp
2nd visit- we enjoyed it so much the first time we came back. Ambiance and service remained top notch. Our entrees were delicious with nicely sized portions and good seasoning. However, our starter Caesar salad was a huge disappointment- none of the bite or crunch expected from this dish. It tasted like iceberg lettuce dressed with mayonnaise. I tried the coleslaw that came with my daughter's fish and chips- again horribly bland. It was not mayo based which I appreciated but it had no flavor, no discernible dressing, a total dud. Still enjoyed dinner but these flaws stood out .

We mentioned it was our first time and he really took his time explaining the menu and helping us choose our dishes. The food was delicious, honestly everything we had was on point. Will definitely be coming back soon! Yelp
Urban Seafood Company Downtown Plano Urban Seafood Company in downtown Plano is where it's at! Yumm. So much yumm!! I was out running around in the crappy weather so decided to stop for a late lunch before my next appointment. I was in the downtown Plano area and Urban Seafood Company was right around the corner so I decided to give them a try. So glad I did! The restaurant was relatively empty, I was sat at a booth right away. The server Damien was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and was stylishly designed. There was different tones of grey and brown throughout. There was a slight nod to the nautical. The floors were herringbone pattern. The bar was gorgeous and had ample seating, has a gorgeous mercury glass background with the logo, the bar front is in a patterned tile, and the lighting pendants above give a nice hint of glamour. There is a seafood bar with fresh fish offerings and oysters and seating around. From the dining-room you have a great view of the kitchen and can watch all of the food being prepared. There is a tall banquet style table for front side seats. There is a smaller small private dining room as well as a another room off to the side that is wide open and airy with views of downtown Plano. All of the details were thought out and fabulous, down to the restrooms. For an appetizer I ordered a crab cake. It was light and crisp and served with two sauces. Really delicious. For lunch I decided to try one of the fresh catches of the day, amberjack. Per the suggestion of Damian, I ordered it blackened with a side of chimichurri, lemon butter and lobster bisque. (To try them all) All were tasty, I like trying the amberjack with chimichurri and dipped in the lemon butter. The amberjack was a light fish, was perfectly cooked, had a nice flavor. I had it with a side of mixed vegetables which were broccolini, carrots and cauliflower. So. So. Good. I was hugely impressed by Urban Seafood Company and highly recommend you checking them out! You won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Good to be back again for weekday supper. Great service and food again. We liked the tasty cracker snacks with soft butter. Very tasty and different. Keep it up. Adults beverages hit the spot which went well with the fish menu. Large portions so we had leftovers again. Tried to leave room for dessert but there was too much so again leftovers.
