This place is definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area!!! Everything is so good so tasty well prepared well served!! And the staff are very friendly very professional!

Super tasty food. Authentic cooks and very warm atmosphere. Try Jasmin tea it’s amazing! Pad Thai is delicious and I recommend avocado salad. All menus is tasty!

An extremely casual place where you can enjoy Thai classics like Beef Pad See Ew or Chicken Pad Thai, as well as Japanese delights. The relationship price/quality is fair and the portions are generous. The waitstaff are friendly and very concerned with the good customer experience.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is consistently outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A huge part of what makes this place special is Surin, the manager. He knows our names, our orders, and always makes us feel like family. That level of personal attention is rare and makes every visit feel like a treat. When Surin isn’t around, Melanie is just as amazing, ensuring we’re well taken care of. The kitchen team, Jonathan and Ronaldo, work magic with their sushi and dishes – everything we’ve tried has been delicious. We dine here almost every night when we’re not at home or a fancy restaurant, and it never disappoints. One of the highlights was when Surin graciously allowed us to bring our own desserts to celebrate New Year’s and the last night of Hanukkah. It’s those little touches that keep us coming back. If you’re in the Hallandale Beach area and love sushi or Thai food, Urban Sushi and Thai is a must-visit. I've been coming to this sushi restaurant at least once a week, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh, from the sashimi to the specialty rolls, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The service is excellent as well. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly fast, ensuring that I have a great dining experience each time. Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, you can count on them to deliver with efficiency and a smile. Highly recommend!

It was my first time here and no complaints. The food was good atmosphere wasn't too loud but not pin drop quiet. Servers were VERY attentive and food overall was 9.5/10 I would eat there again with a friend. Price was a little pricey, but you know.. it's sushi 🤷🏾‍♀️

Cozy and clean, Urban Thai and Sushi presents innovative sushi rolls and wonderful Thai dishes. The crab rangoon were some of the best I've had - served dumpling style, stuffed with delicate crab filling, 4 to an order. The basil stir fry with chicken was fresh and full of flavor. Excellent service.Recommended!

Mostly a let down. The papaya in the papaya salad was not so fresh and therefore mushy. The Tom yam soup is small and you pay $2 extra to have a single shrimp added. Definitely don't order on uber eats, go pick it up. On Uber eats your bill is 50% more than picking up in person.

One of the best Thai spots in south Florida !!! I loved the green curry and the red curry. Red curry was the perfect amount of spice. And green curry was perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The eggplant in the green curry was delicious. I will definitely be back. Food came out very quick and the servers were very nice. Plenty of seating outdoor as well as seating indoors. Fair prices are well. In total was paid $40 for both red curry and green curry with chicken. Hope to be back soon!!!

My dining experience at Urban Sushi and Thai on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 7 PM was quite notable. Upon arrival, the restaurant had a calm atmosphere, and the staff was extremely efficient in seating our large party of 16 without delay. The interior of Urban Sushi and Thai boasts a clean and minimalist design with a touch of modern decor that is quite appealing. Our server was prompt in taking our orders and thoroughly knowledgeable, readily answering any questions we had about the diverse menu which offers an array of traditional Thai cuisine and a variety of Japanese dishes, including a significant sushi selection. Several dishes were sampled by our group, but a few stood out exceptionally. The Padt See Ew Beef was a flavor sensation, with flat noodles perfectly charred from the wok and seasoned to perfection, bursting with taste in every bite. The Krab Avocado Salad was another delight, featuring a mix of imitation crab, avocado, crunch, and fish roe atop a bed of mixed greens and cucumber, lightly dressed with spicy mayonnaise. This dish struck a perfect balance between creamy, salty, and the refreshing crispness of the vegetables. The sushi offerings were extensive, catering to a wide range of preferences from raw fish enthusiasts to vegetarians, and those who prefer cooked sushi - there truly is something for everyone, and all the sushi we tried was fresh and delectable. However, I believe there are areas for improvement. For instance, the crispy snapper, priced at $55, seemed somewhat overpriced. While the presentation was impressive, showing the filleted and fried fish alongside the whole fish skeleton, the accompanying sauce was unfortunately bland and too thin, lacking that rich umami flavor that one would anticipate to complement the fish. In this case, the dish did not live up to its price point. Overall, Urban Sushi and Thai offers a decent variety of dishes to accommodate various dietary needs, and the service is commendable. While there is some room for culinary refinement, the restaurant presents a worthwhile dining experience that I would not hesitate to recommend.

The food is wonderful! I suggest you try the "catch on Fire" which is seared salmon nigiri with a delicious sauce and Serrano pepper. It is a bit spicy but delicious. The salmon is melt in your mouth. Also the won ton soup has a delicious flavor. Portions are generous. We also had the Mongolian beef which is not sweet (like Panda) but super tender in a delicious sauce. Service is great! Will be back the next time we are back in this part of the world.

I'm absolutely obsessed with Thai cuisine and I've tried it all over. However this restaurant genuinely impressed me. It wasn't the usual cut and paste experience. The service went above and beyond, their dining area was warm, inviting and spotless, and the food was epic! I came here for the first time for lunch on my birthday and returned a few days later for dinner to try other dishes. Everything was phenomenal and I can't wait to return. I actually told friends about it on my way home. We've had the wonton soup, Mongolian beef, green curry, drunken noodles, and a chef's special spicy sushi roll (forgot the name). Everything was to die for and I can't wait for my next meal here. Oh, by the way, they brought me a surprise dessert of Thai donuts for my birthday, which were delicious and perfect - hot, fluffy inside, crispy outside, and not at all greasy. So sweet and thoughtful! I am a customer for life! Do yourself a favor: run to this place and allow them to change your life! 20/10

I finally had the opportunity to try Urban Thai and Sushi. I've been curious for a long time as it has some pretty great reviews. The two times I've come to this place years ago, I had turned around as the strip mall the restaurant is located looked a little bit sketchy for my taste but on Sunday we finally decided to give it a try. I don't know if is a different location or if the strip mall got a nice makeover but very happy with the new look! The restaurant is small but nice. It looks clean and modern. The place was fairly busy but we still got seated right away by our server, Surin. We ordered the steamed gyozas, jb roll, shrimp tempura roll, and eel roll. Everything was extremely delicious!! The gyosas were good! soft with great flavor! The rolls were nice and super fresh! Oh, the service was on point too! Surin was super nice and very funny! Overall we will come back! Love it!

This hidden gem serves up incredible pineapple fried rice, packed with juicy pineapple chunks, savory shrimp, and crunchy veggies. Beyond that, their menu features fresh, flavorful Thai & Japanese classics in a warm & inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff and generous portions make it a Hallandale must-try!

Melanie and Pats service was awesome. When we walked we were immediately greeted and the aesthetics is very clean and nice. The food was delicious warm fresh and full of flavor. He started off with the Tom Yum soup with chicken. We shared a ginger sauce, pork with white rice and I ordered a small fried egg rice. For dessert we had Thai donuts and they were the best we've had. We will definitely be back.

Food: Fresh, great portions, and delicious sushi rolls! The quality of the rolls was definitely there. We ordered two JB Tempura Rolls, a California Roll, and a Shrimp Tempura Roll. You can taste the quality of all the ingredients within each bit. The prices are pretty good for the amount and quality of sushi you receive. Service: Friendly and outstanding staff!!! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted and our server was very attentive of our needs. Ambiance: Very causal/semi causal atmosphere. Felt welcoming and they have a pretty large dinning room with a few chairs and stables outside for outdoor seating I'd you prefer. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants some phenomenal sushi with outstanding service ^.^

The food over here is excellent, the ambience is great. It's probably about 900 square feet of restaurant space and they're pretty attentive. Service is just a bit too slow, which is OK, but what bothered me the most out of everything is the way the girl worked the tip. She put the bill down when she brought it to the table, making sure to emphasize the tip isn't included and again when I paid. I still left her a decent tip, but in this tip-crazy world we live in now, it's getting ridiculous watching people beg. This doesn't take away from the food, but it really doesn't give me a solid euphoric feeling as I leave. My partner for the evening enjoyed the food immensely. I definitely recommend this place.

Simply put, this is the best restaurant in the world. Time and time again my family has brought friends, coworkers, and companions here and without fail we have always been happily fulfilled by the food had and time spent. Personally I'd recommend a spicy shrimp tum yum goon as a starter, with the hamachi jalapeño. My favorite rolls are the robio roll and blue ocean roll, but the grand King of Lava lobster roll is simply DELICIOUS. If you want a plate of food I highly recommend the chicken pad won sen or pineapple fried rice. The service is always tremendous and the ingredients for each and every single menu item are all fresh. Enjoy, and treat my favorite restaurant right!

We stopped in to this quiet little place for a mid-afternoon meal before our flight home. We shared the spider roll and pad Thai with shrimp, which were both beautifully plated. I loved the carrot flower. The food and service were good.

In 2018, this restaurant was ranked in the top 50 south Florida. Safe to say, I can see why. The customer service is tremendous. They greet you, seat you, and check up on you frequently. I went with the chicken pad Thai medium and it was pretty good. The sauce didn't lack and it was a good amount of spice. They even give you spice on the side in case it's not enough. We also got a fresh fish sampler. For it not being server on ice, it tasted spectacular. Pricing was a little expensive I feel, but the portions are good for the price. The 10% off helps the cost as well! Go while you can still get the discount. Overall would come back if ever in the area.

They are extremely busy here on Christmas day (Sunday around 6-7pm). We got seated right away, but its always like a full house. Even the sushi chefs had to start helping out with any customer service. Their food isn't spicy at all so ask for chili sauce on the side. Indoor dining only. sashimi platter- fresh, good tom yum soup- good, but not spicy at all papaya salad- not spicy at all green curry with pork- good fried fish- very good mixed vegetable with beef- beef was a bit dry pineapple fried rice- good

They were open Christmas Day!! And thank goodness we found them! The staff is super friendly and it was not busy at all. The chicken pad Thai was so good and tasty. We also ordered the sashimi appetizer and it was fresh! I loved the salmon. I would definitely come back! They had so many menu items to choose from!

Great service, incredibly nice and friendly staff. My sushi dishes were AMAZING...fresh and tasty, and not overpriced. The pad thai was good, but the sauce was a little watery. I had their Sauvignon Blanc, which was actually very tasty and priced well. Not a place you go to because of the ambiance, so be aware if that's what you're into, but it's clean, and the food is good. I would definitely recommend and come back.

Love going here! Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The servers informed me that they don't use fish sauce. The menu is quite extensive so it'll take you a while to make your choice haha! I love going with the Pad Thai no egg! I add tofu. Very delicious Pad Thai. Portions are perfect. Wonderful presentation as well. I almost always have some leftover for the next day. Nice casual ambiance. Could be perfect for a date night or other special occasion. Staff is super friendly. You will love it here!

Small place but they make it up with the wonderful service and the delicious food. The masamam chicken curry was with full of flavor and with good amount of sauce. The ginger sauce chicken was good but I wish I would have asked for some spice to add to it but still good.

Food and Service is very good, Loved the sashimi and sushi. Loved the soup with coconut milk. Enjoyed the very fresh tasting salad. No room for dessert, because the appetizer and entrees were really filling. I intend to return soon.

Went to dinner with my friend of 20 years and we really had a nice dinner. She loves sushi and I love salad and fresh veggies so we were both happy. It was a busy night at Urban Thai and Sushi with only one table left for someone to have dinner. They certainly have a huge take-out as well. I love that this is a family own business and that the food is spot-on perfect and that the service is attentive Tonight I ordered my favorite soup tom yum soup, spring rolls, and a salad with ginger dressing. My friend had the egg drop soup and a volcano roll. All our food was perfectly prepared and not a long wait. I love green tea especially since it is so good for you. Give them a try if you are in the neighborhood it's a nice cozy restaurant. Parking is ample. This restaurant is in the same shopping center as Dollar general.

Tried Urban for the first time. Enjoyed the sushi rolls and several Thai noodle dishes. The rock shrimp dish was especially good. Great service too!

I love the owner so much he's such a sweetie, the entire staff! The food always comes out fast and always fresh. I have never had a bad experience here and am a regular. The ambiance is also very relaxing and attention to detail. My go to for thai food! My friends from out of state always come to visit just so we can go eat here

Foods are amazing with lots of varieties. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. However, the place is a little hot which needs a better AC i guess.Perhaps the weather affects the coolness of the shop. Overall, I will definitely gonna come back and eat here.Hopefully, better ventilation the next time I come back.

Oh this was just the perfect destination when one is dog tired and needs a fresh light supper. The dragon rolls and crab salad was surly and citrusy and delicious and the perfect combo to end a long day. I wish I could order from them every day as I would be a regular. Ordered Chicken Soup and Drunken Noodles. Both tasted average and nothing great about it. I wouldn't recommend unless you don't have any option.

10-30-21 Early evening Came here with friend on a Saturday night their pick. The area is west and the shopping center sketchy. On a positive note the parking in the shopping center is free. When we arrived it was extremely slow and my friends ordered several dishes to share. But by the time we go to leave it packs up like waiting to get in. The place as caught off guard with limited to no help. Needless to say we waited forever to pay. Would we come back? Sure strange times with help it is no one's fault and the food was decent.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Miami. My pork and mixed veg stir-fry was quite tasty, albeit a little on the smaller side portion-wise. Service was good, the place itself had a tasteful ambiance, and I would return if in the area again.

I was volunteering at Feeding SFL and was trying to find a good lunch spot to eat at before heading over to volunteer. Of course I go to Yelp and found this place close to their location. When arriving there was parking right out front. We walked in and were quickly seated. They had a lunch menu with some great deals on there. I went with my go to- pangnag curry and my friend had the fried rice. The lunch special includes a salad or soup- I got the salad which is typical salad you get with the ginger dressing, it was a good way to start the meal. Then came out my curry. It was tasty and for the price the portion size is great. I was very happy with how quickly all the food came out as they said the kitchen was a little backed up but from sitting down to food coming out was about 15-20 mins which I thought was great. The restaurant had a nice vibe and there were 3 of us and the meal was less than 40 dollars- can't beat that kind of deal for the quality of food we received.

Wow , wow and more wow !! I started off ordering the urban Thai tower with Tuna , kani, avocado and crispy wonton chips atop wasabi sushi rice . The only thing is that I wish the menu had stated that this dish has wasabi because I do no like it . The dish itself was Amazing and came with a semi sweet sauce that I devoured . The I went on the hamachi jalapeño with the special ponzu sauce , holy cow was it spicy and I loved it but it is not for the faint of heart . Finally ordered the rock roll which had 10 pieces and the perfect amount of rice . Service was nice and attentive , thank you Katie for your attention . The place itself wasn't top busy and the decor was modern and clean . I'm definitely coming back here and telling all my friends to do so as well .

Ordered take out the other night and got the fried rice. It was spectacular, and it was the special mix. I just wish they gave a side of sauce for the rice only. It was quick and fast when picking it up and the food was the perfect temp.

The staff is really and hospitable here. We enjoyed the flavors and found everything to be seasoned and spiced very well. The menu is absolutely huge here! We decided to take the Thai route and started with some crispy tofu which was pretty good! The crab Rangoon's were underwhelming and very small for the price. The soup was a 4/5. Wasn't the best, but wasn't bad. It could've used a little more flavor, but I would probably give the Tom Kha soup a try next time. Main entrees are generous sizes and staff is more than happy to bring over extra plates. I would probably order delivery from here and not dine in. Pad Thai was our favorite. Next time, I would probably try a roll and skip the crag rangoons.

Rice noodles were terribly overcooked. Just plain mush. I've tried the red curry couple of years ago and it was pretty good.
