Google
The burrito bowl here was alright. The portion was smaller than I thought. The eggs were good, but the chorizo was a bit bland. Not too bad in terms of quality, but with the $19.82 price tag for a burrito bowl, a bit expensive for the amount of food you’re getting. The service is pretty quick and the staff are nice.

L

Google
Chicken bowl was fine. Decent hot food for after flying. I got both salsas and one or both of them were spicy. Overpriced at $20 but it’s the airport.

Vijay J

Google
Close to most E gates, but the burrito bowl tasted below average. The chicken didn’t seem to be fresh - maybe because they were almost closing. I would expect more from a $25 burrito bowl. Airport restaurants are often overpriced, but the value for money on this one is pretty bad.

Cody Reynolds

Google
Not sure what the grips are, it's the airport. I had 35 minutes between gate f12 and e9, didn't think i'd have time, but they know how to move a line. My burrito was huge, Pork Verde had big chunks of pork, and super saucy like I like. The lady's were cheerful and we had a good time. Plus there's actually a little fire in the salsa. $24 with a happy hour beer.

Alexander Jin

Google
As other have stated, extremely inflated prices for lower than mediocre food. The Hispanic cashier with the tied ponytail looking like a wig rudely stated the place was closed at 8:20pm and shortly opening up after around 15 mins later. Dirty attitude for just standing there while I attempt to read the menu.

John Harris

Google
Prices are insanely high to the amount they serve and the taste is not great either. Food vendors need to stop this new form of THEFT. A burrito that is about $20 after tax and they only put like 2 ounces of chicken really? Who regulates this establishments in order to stop them from taking advantage of travelers like this? 😡😡🚨🚨

Cali Living

Google
Good place to pick up something fast. Had a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, chicken and fries. No complaints. Very fast service and friendly staff

Neer Raybaruah

Google
Twice as expensive as a Chipotle but half as tasty, if that. If you are adamant on coming here, don’t decide what to order until you see the current food laid out. I made a mistake of adding in the potato fries which looked weak, but the breakfast burrito overall was tasteless. The bacon was better but the chorizo tasted like my old school cafeteria food. Airplane food is expensive but there’s much better options for $19.
google avatar

Zika R.

Yelp
Are you trying to buy a breakfast burrito? This is your place. I jumped from the line at dogpatch to this place despite the overall reviews because when you search the reviews specifically for breakfast burrito, they looked solid. And they are! Ingredients were fresh, eggs looked real like they were being cooked to keep up with demand and this was just a good burrito. I got the veggie version with Salsa Verde (instead of the red salsa) because I'm not looking to trigger some weird gastro situation on a flight with spicy food, but all around a truly solid option. If you take into account it's an airport burrito, this was a transcendent experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably the worst nachos I've ever had. Made me a little queasy afterward. I knew I was in trouble when I saw her go to the back and start shoveling chips from a bag into my takeout box. Then when I saw the ladle dip into the vat of melted cheese-wiz or whatever it was, I knew I should probably bail. Unfortunately I was starving and stuck it out, which I regret. The employees were nice enough (hence the two stars instead of one), but you get cheap wooden forks that break and the ingredients were just atrocious. To top it off, it was way overpriced even for airport food. Nachos and a soda was like $22. Hard pass next time I'm at SFO. It's worth a 10-15 minute walk to find someplace else if you have the time.
google avatar

Alejandro F.

Yelp
Strike 1: BIG wooden utensils Strike 2: Trash food Strike 3: How the hell is a bean dry Strike 4: I paid 47$ for two bowls.... I got scammed fr fr If you have legs go somewhere else.

Yelp
Food 5/10: Similar to chipotle but more bland but gets the job done Service 2/10 Seems like nobody wants to be there I smile say thank you. No smiles and no conversation simply handed me my receipt and tired to get a tip out of me by asking to sign Ambiance (Airport) San Francisco airport ambiance

Bryant D.

Yelp
I made a yelp account just so I could give this place 0 stars. I get it, we're at the airport so food is going to be more expensive but, 5 dollars for guac to be added cmon man. Also love how the view of menu is obstructed and you have to duck under to see it. Sour cream extra? Salsa extra? Anything not cost extra? Food didn't even taste good for a 20 dollar bare bones burrito bowl but sure would have better with some guacamole. 20 dollars for a quesadilla? Spare yourself from the financial barbarism of this place.
google avatar

Molly L.

Yelp
The food here is awful. I ordered the veggie tacos and everything was bland. The beans were bland. The rice was bland. The guac was bland. Even the salsa was bland. And they charge for everything. To add sour cream it is an extra $2. Guacamole is like a few dollars The difference between chicken and veggie tacos was $0.50 but to add extra meat is $4. And when I asked to make one of my tacos with cilantro rice and the other with brown rice. The lady said that was not possible. What difference does it make if I decide to get different rice for my tacos? For over $18 for 2 tacos, I would expect some more flavor, courtesy, and better options for toppings. I won't be back and don't recommend this place to others either.
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
Urban Tortilla got the job done as far as airport food goes. The line was much shorter than the cafe across the way. Service was quick. Food was decently good. I ordered the chicken bowl. The portion size was pretty large. Like others have mentioned, the upcharge for certain ingredients is a bit outrageous. $2 for sour cream. $5 for a small scoop of guac. Ouch.
google avatar

Mika S.

Yelp
Urban rip-off! Food is so-so but the price is astronomical. For a half-assed burrito, nachos (with gas station cheese) and two drinks it was just over $60. Nothing seemed to be included or marked (unclear pricing) as extra until you asked and were told about $4 guac up charge; sour cream, rice, almost everything was an additional cost. Gets worse - the coconut water tastes like suntan lotion. Total ripoff even for an airport. It'll make you appreciate Chipotle.

Cédric V.

Yelp
$30 for a burrito? Not even joking. Absolute rip-off. Wouldn't recommend unless you hate money.

J N.

Yelp
Very rude staff at the burrito station. I really wanted to leave feedback for the manager about this one particular staff who literally rolled their eyes and said out loud "oh my god!" when asked if I could get the breakfast burrito cut in half. I don't know if this old lady was having a bad morning due to her personal life, but it also ruined my day at 7 am. Whoever your staff was working the 7 am shift on 6/4 needs direct feedback from their manager. I tried to give direct feedback to the worker who ignored and walked away. The young cashier was nice and apologized on her behalf, but the older lady at the burrito station needs some direct feedback from their manager.

Mary L.

Yelp
Ok, I would not normally do a review for an airport eatery because they're typically not great, but this is an exception. Urban Tortilla near gate E9 at SFO is really good. I had the burrito bowl with chile verde, medium salsa and corn salsa. The meat was in good size chunks, flavored great and very tender. I'd eat here again if traveling through SFO again.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
The workers are very polite and help everyone quickly, even during the busy lunchtime period. The line is moved at a steady pace so you do not feel pressured. In addition and most importantly, the value you get for the money is astonishing!
google avatar

Joshua K.

Yelp
A perfectly fine airport food option. I was able to get a chicken burrito quickly and factoring in airport food cost, taste, and portion size, this burrito was fine if on the salty side.
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
I ordered a customized chicken burrito and told the server what I wanted her to put inside. I asked for chicken pinto beans, shredded cheese , lettuce and when I asked for sour cream she said that it was an extra $2 charge for the sour cream which I thought was kinda high so I went without the sour cream., The burrito was a nice size but tasted very bland. The issue that I have with this restaurant is I sat near by to eat my burrito and heard other customers order food with sour cream and they we're not being told that it was an extra $2. Another customer wanted corn and was told it was an extra .75. Certain customers would be told that there was an extra charge for things while others would not be charged for ordering the same items. It is a Mexican restaurant with Mexican employees. But there was clearly discrimination going on with customers. Bad for business.

Review Y.

Yelp
Bad quality tasteless food with 0 customer service overpriced check your receipts as they have tendency to charge wrong
google avatar

Amrita L.

Yelp
The latino ladies at the counter serving here were absolutely rude, my 4 year old was just taking a little more than few seconds (I am literally talking less than 5 seconds here )and the staff making the burritos -pushed our plat e and walked away and gave us such a rude tone and attitude. Literally WTF! The manager of the airport urban tortilla by gate E8, you need to fire the staff here! They are nothing short of absolutely racist and plain rude.
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
I ordered a bowl with fries, eggs, chorizo, corn, and mild sauce. The bowl tasted okay except for the chorizo, which had a really bad aftertaste that I could not stand at all, so I didn't eat the rest of it. The total for the bowl was around $18, and it was pretty small. I understand that airport food is typically expensive, but I didn't expect them to charge 50 cents more just for a small spoon of corn.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Chicken Burrito is just ok. They charge an extra $2 for a few squirts of tasteless sour cream and an extra $.75 for corn. If you want to fill up on rice, beans, and chicken before a long flight. This place is ok. But nothing to get excited about.
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
Not bad here. Gate E area. Hardworking staffs. Small retail aisle. If you have time, I would recommend this place for a good bite of burritos, salads, tacos, quesadillas, salsa, chips, etc. Can of coconut water is made in Thailand. Yummy and good. Not too sweet with natural coconut pulp. Mexican chicken soup with a bag of tortillas chips was very fulfilling. Great portion sizes. Carnitas cheesy quesadillas came in a few chunky pieces. My regular chicken soft taco/just one piece was already enough for 1-2 people. Packed with veggies. Good area. Nice ambience. Note, tables and chairs in the common areas are fully packed with travelers since everyone is plugging in & charging their phones. Gate E area is a lot more quiet than Gate D. Mexican foods are always a good option while waiting for flight(s) or in between delays. Very satisfying. Choose your own toppings for your goods. They do have rice if you want it. We will likely be back in the future since Gate E is a very common place with lesser foot traffic than Gate D area.

Eric S.

Yelp
I just had a good burrito in SF, stewed chile verde pork, black beans, cilantro rice, corn salsa, jalapeño and cilantro. The only downside was how quickly the tortillas got soggy, It's not as good as la Vic's but it definitely was quality and only $20 bucks
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
I stopped here while I was waiting for a flight out around dinner, and I really enjoyed it. Gate E was pretty quiet at the time, and that gave me an excellent opportunity to sit down and have a taco and a beer at a real table in what felt a little bit like a mall food court. I picked up a vegetarian taco with all available veggies and was fairly impressed. It's still a taco at an airport food stand, but it seemed pretty good to me. My only advice would be to skip the rice: these a fairly substantial tacos, and adding rice with all the other toppings makes for a heavy meal.
google avatar

Kathy S.

Yelp
Best airport food of any kind I've had in a long time. Breakfast burrito with bacon was hot, freshly made to order, and delicious. Just what I needed during an early morning layover. Highly recommend!

Joe S.

Yelp
Was desperate for a quick bite so got some lousy overpriced "Mexican" food here before my flight. Disgusting!! Hope I don't regret it in an hour. Avoid this place. Ugh.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Good option for a hot dinner during a lay over. It's in the Gate E area, and this was the best option next to the deli across the way. We got our food quickly, it was piping hot so when we sat down to eat it after walking to our new gate it was nice and tastey. The chips weren't so good but the meat was good as was the rest. I like the option for corn on top.

Jose V.

Yelp
Don't eat here I got a bowl with the chile verde pork and I'm throwing up as we speak 2 hours later . Avoid this place . If I get food poisoning it was from here
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
Do NOT eat here. The food is so bland, no flavor. The spicy salsa is not spicy. I think the jalapeños died. How long has the rice been sitting there? Yuck! No wonder the line is so short. Don't be fooled.

Gunjan S.

Yelp
It gave same vibe as Chipotle. Similar setup. But similarity ended there. Probably one of west tasting burrito I have ever had. Not expected such bad quality at SFO airport. Good lesson fir me to always check yelp reviews before trying a new place
google avatar

I-Lin L.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch in SFO and got a shrimp burrito. It was HUGE! Definitely won't leave this place hungry, haha. The food was good and service was pretty fast. My shrimp was cooked so it took a bit longer than just assembling the burrito, but it was nice warm. This is a quick service type place where you order and get your food at the counter and then sit down in a shared food court area to eat, so the ambiance isn't as nice as a dine-in restaurant. But the seating area was spacious and brightly lit and had lots of electrical outlets to charge our phones, so that was nice.

Ben F.

Yelp
So this place is expensive and the quality of the food is average at best. One of the most ridiculous things that this place does is that it charges you $1.25 for sour cream with a burrito. I'm sorry but sour cream is standard with a burrito. It's a flat out scam to charge for it. Secondly, $1.25 for sour cream is a highway robbery even in California. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else
google avatar

Christie S.

Yelp
I do not recommend this place for breakfast. But today I had a later flight at F gates(urban tortilla is at end of E gates). So I did the long walk from F22 to E8 and am dog glad k did. They have amazing pork Chile verde. I get the burrito- their tortillas are phenomenal. I've missed it for years as all my flights are in morning before pork Chile verde is available. It is as good as I remember. Tastiest option in Terminal 3.
google avatar

Dave O.

Yelp
It's airport food, what were you expecting? And, 15 dollar burritos should be accompanied with a handy, for heaven sakes, but nope! Just the burrito! However, I will give them this... they're huge! And since I've been recently trying to adhere to a pescatarian type diet, they had a shrimp option, and it hit the spot! Mind you, much akin to the breakfast burrito scam (filled with inexpensive potatoes to create size), they achieved their size with a $hit ton of rice. It was still good, though, and despite that extortion price, I'd give 'em a second go. Cheers!
google avatar

Anthony N.

Yelp
I grabbed a quick bite to eat from here before my departing flight near my gate. The menu is pretty straight forward and they have all of the basic Mexican options. I ordered the Beef Quesadilla since it would be quick and easy to eat. There was very little interaction between the workers and me, but at least I got my food. It did not take too long to come out and it came with salsa and sour cream. The beef quesadilla was seasoned alright, but I felt like I really needed the sour cream and salsa to eat it. It got the job done, but the I felt like it was pretty pricey for what I got. I would probably only order from this place again if I had a craving for quick and easy Mexican.
google avatar

Sankit G.

Yelp
All that glitters is not gold. The place is located inside terminal 3 of SFO International Airport. From the appearance it looks very appealing and clean so you'd really want to try. I picked up chips and salsa with a side of guac for the flight. I don't know how to explain but the chips were quite dry-ish. Chips are supposed to be dry but they were too dry and unflavorful that you surely cannot eat them without a drink. Same with the salsa, too spicy and not like fresh salsa that you cannot stop eating. You would want to stop as soon as you start eating this one. On the other hand, guac was really nice. I ate chips till there was guac. Rest all went to trash. I think I should have only took bananas and apples from here. Yep, those were for deal! 2 apples for $1 and 2 bananas for $1 too. The choice is yours! May the force be with you.
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Nothing special but quick food option! Got breakfast just eggs and potatoes with guacamole. I liked that the food wasn't salty! Took 2 minutes and right next to my gate. Would probably get it again if I was in gate E.
google avatar

Emmalouise B.

Yelp
Actually a pretty decent spot to grab food before your flight. Despite what others have said about it being really expensive I think it's quite reasonable, I mean $10.75 for a meal in an Airport.. SAN FRANCISCO Airport! And they were not tight with the portions either. My Husband stopped here to get some Lunch before our 2 flights and we were both quite impressed with what was served - A large bowl of Salad of his choosing with not 1 but 3 scoops of Chicken. Everything was fresh too and when they warned the Salsa is ''very spicy'' they were not kidding. (Proceed with caution). It's very much a Chipotle style service and the staff were speedy and efficient. No complaints here.
google avatar

T C.

Yelp
Love this place! The food is always good, better than I expect at an airport, and today the staff members were very friendly, helpful and kind. Try the fish taco.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Well it's lunchtime and choices are limited. I had a two hour layover and decided to stay in the terminal instead of heading to the USO, I know you read that review, and boy was that a mistake. Not going to the USO was the mistake, not the review. First, the ordering process is simple. Walk down the counter and tell the server what items you want on your plate or in my case burrito. Think Subway style ordering. Second, order a drink and pay. It's simple, it's just not really tasty. Now I understand prepping might be difficult in the limited space and I don't know if they cook the food onsite but the burrito tasted just average. I didn't taste anything in the care asada meat. The only saving grace to this meal was the guacamole. Now the creamy guacamole was really good but at $2 a spoonful and using a very small spoon, that is steep even for the airport. The burrito was decent in size but like I said average in taste. You figured at the price you pay, they can add a little more seasoning. Overall two stars. Servers were just automated and didn't seem excited to be there. Food gets a low grade and the price you pay tells you that you're in SFO. Good thing is plenty of seating. Now excuse me, I gotta plane to catch. M

Erika C.

Yelp
This food was soo disgusting and flavorless soo not worth 20$ on top of the extra charges for sour cream 1.50$ plus the corn $.50 and guacamole the is not fresh is bottle and the
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Really regret my airport lunch decision. $25 for a below average burrito bowl. I will say I enjoyed the cilantro rice and my server was so cute and sweet. The carnitas was so dry and cold but it was the most visually appealing, so I was fooled. I felt like I needed guacamole but wrestled with the thought of spending $4. Again, I'm a sucker... and I was about to board a 5hr flight so I wanted all the things. It was horrible. I ate around it. I'm not a picky eater but I will not dine here again. SFO if you're listening- I thought you wanted to support local businesses... put in el farolito or Papalote! Yum yum.
google avatar

Mukul P.

Yelp
Healthy option to get a meal while you're waiting at the gate. They have cilantro rice, which was yummy and their salsas were fresh and delicious too.

Eric C.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I walked up and needed an napkin, seen who appeared to be a nice little old lady behind the counter and asked her for a napkin, she looks at me up and down in a really disgusted manner. As I walked away her and another worker were speaking to each other in Spanish and looking at me dirty and laughing. Im positive they were insulting me cause even after i got back to my table they were still staring at me and laughing. Was going to order something before my flight to Kona but that changed my mind real quick. I do a lot of traveling now and this is one business I will never support. I hope others see this and feel the same about discrimination. I will be reaching out to owner or general manager about this situation cause i do not feel right about it. You can not treat people like shit just cause of who they are.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Huge disappointment! Obviously wouldn't expect the best food from here given that it is after all from the airport, but this has to be the worst I've ever had. The rice was undercooked and hard, the meat and veggies were dry. The entire meal was essentially inedible. I ordered the burrito bowl and they were pretty skimpy with the portions. When asked for some more the most they seem to do is only 1/4 of a scoop and in the end, it all came down to $18.86. Never coming back here ty very much.

Andres D.

Yelp
Food was good but very expensive, 19 dollars for a bowl. I also got something really hard in my food idk if it was a bone but I almost lost a tooth.
google avatar

Fanny W.

Yelp
Not bad for airport Mexican food. Everything tasted great, pricier than your average Mexican spot but it's the airport so... What I Ordered: + Burrito Bowl: cilantro rice, beef, tomato salsa, lettuce, corn (+$0.25); 4/5 $17 for decent Mexican at 9AM in the morning? I'll take it! And then expense it.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
They used fake eggs and soggy French fries on my breakfast burrito bowl. Just terrible. And the guacamole was gonna be $4 more so I opted to do without. $17 is just ridiculous for such an abysmal meal (($21 w guacamole). Honestly, the food on the plane was way better. No joke.
google avatar

Philip L.

Yelp
Was bummed that Andale stopped carrying chile verde, but found it at Urban Tortilla and it's amazingly good with nice heat! So in love with it...hot & tender marbled pork in flavorful green sauce. Got it on top of brown rice and it was a perfect meal after getting back. Also ordered a chicken quesadilla which was solid.
google avatar

Rod R.

Yelp
This is a straight up burrito. I bought 2 and it cost nearly 40 airport dollars. Crazy thing is I, will buy from them again. I won't lie, we where starving before our flight. The burrito is big enough to share. Service was nice and fast. I got there 20 minutes before my flight was leaving and got my food with 18 minutes to spare. Think sharing a burrito.
google avatar

Heba E.

Yelp
Put an extra dollar sign on the review as its pricey even for an airports. It's a good option of you are in gaits 60-66 and limited time. If you're here for breakfast make sure you get guacamole on your eggs as they are a bit bland. If you're not a pig eater it might perplex they while ordering a breakfast burrito. Of course it's Cali so there are vegetarian options.
google avatar

Hen A.

Yelp
sfo terminal 3...chipotle style burritos or bowls...3 rice (white, brown and cilantro) and 2 beans (black or brown) to pick from....taking burrito with cilantro rice and no beans...choice of standard meats...burrito or bowl costing $12.75...getting all the regular fixings and salsas...adding corn for an extra charge...$16 total for a burrito....was a fat burrito and very filling....ingredients have more seasoning compared to chipotle...pricey, but wasn't bad...
