I think Suzette Served me. She was so welcoming and sweet from the Entrance to the Serving. The food portion was Very generous. I ordered the steak. It was a little too salty for my taste, but the roasted potatoes that accompanied it were Amaaaazing! I will definitely return.

Love small locally-owned places. The owner Tony, is so kind and welcoming. They have live music and discuss multiple times a week and the food is SO good. One of my favorites in Lochwood/Old Lake Highlands!! Sorry, ate most of the food 😝

Google
So I had driven by many times and very much underestimated it based on its nondescript strip mall vibe and lack of website (they only have a FB link on google maps) - but I was wrong - the wines were all great and the food was really good. Much better than expected / I would go back again. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 was service - there was an owner/manager who started our tab - he was great and attentive - and then the waitresses arrived / then it was hit or miss service. Once it got busy they are active walking around but during the slowish 4:30/5 hr they are on phones and never checking on tables. So good wine, great food, mediocre service

Have been here several times over the last month and sampled entrees, appetizers, sandwich and salad, dessert and, of course, the wine selection. The steak here is always flavorful, and the strip special was perfectly cooked, but the ribeye was a slightly over cooked. Friends and I have had the salmon a few times, and it is good and tender but definitely not cooked rare. Some would call it dry, but it’s always been quite edible. Veggies are fresh and tasty. The flat breads are ok but sometimes bland and undercooked. Salad has always been a great choice, and the half a panini & salad or soup is plenty. The pecan pie with chocolate ganache is a real treat. Wine selections are quite varied and reasonable. The wine list is well rounded for any taste or price point, and the beer on tap is mostly local. The patio is awesome on a temperate day. The fountain surrounded by wine corks and the fireplace create a fabulous ambience and invite lingering in conversation over a glass of red 🍷 or bubbles 🥂.

Google
This place is dope. Excellent food and excellent service. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a chill atmosphere with friendly staff. Patio area is very spacious and perfect for the current pandemic we’re going through. Plenty of room to stay distant and have a good time.

Google
Very quaint with warm atmosphere and comfortable seating for 1 to a group. Great music by Robin Willis. The Mediterranean flat bread and red snapper are very good. Just need to add a server/manager? Service started great, then very slow as the 1 person show got busy.

Yelp
Parking: Free self parking! Yay! Interior: Clean interior with a bar and dining area. Patio seating available. Service: Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't super busy. Super chill vibe! Food: Only ordered the creme brulee and it was good. Drinks: Ordered the 3 glass wine flight and the presentation was excellent! Wish they had more wine options though. Overall: Two thumbs up! Great place to hang out, relax and enjoy some wine! :)

Yelp
We adore this charming local wine bar and bistro! It offers delicious food at affordable prices, with nightly specials and a cozy ambiance, including a lovely fireplace patio. Their extensive wine selection spans various price ranges, featuring unique options. The clientele tends to be on the older side, creating a relaxed atmosphere. While the serving staff isn't extensive, their kindness and helpfulness make up for it. Live music occasionally adds to the laid back vibe. Food: The flatbreads are fantastic, appetizers delightful, and salads are scrumptious. Not to mention, the salmon and flank steak entrees are highlights of the menu! And if you're lucky, they might have Peruvian ceviche as a special--a dish we've found to be the best outside of Peru! The only drawback--no Texas wines! We love supporting local and encourage our favorite establishments to do so as well!!

Yelp
I want to gate keep so badly, but I guess I will let you in on this quaint spot down the street from the Arboretum. The staff is nice. The food is good; we have gotten the charcuterie board a few times. The ceviche is pretty good though I think they should marinate it a little longer, but it's still good. The urban salad is good. My husband likes the paninis. I love their wine flights 5 glasses for $22. We always get a flight, but on Thursday is 1/2 off glasses so they are $6-7 a glass. They also have live music. It's really chill.

Yelp
Solid spot with an excellent rooftop bar. Outside of nitpicking the pizza, this place is a solid 5-star experience. The service was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and priced affordably. My only gripe was the pizza. It was good, but it had a wetness to it. It made for a soggy undercarriage that designated this a knife and fork pie. We will be back for the drinks and the view, perhaps try a different pizza with less toppings.

Yelp
So I came here the other day and I forgot to make a review but honestly, it was such a great day. I love the food. Here was such an amazing salad. I got was the best salad I've ever ever had. The serving was amazing. They were really calm, really relaxed and they're really easy on me for being the first time, the environment was awesome and nice Breeze Dallas has a little jam in his desk right here. Please check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The best Flatbread I've ever had. The crust itself was cracker thin, airy and crispy. We had three different flatbreads and each was unique and exceptionally flavorful. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly selected. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp

Yelp
We tried this place for date night and it did not disappoint! The service was great from start to finish , we sat outside and they have fans out there so it doesn't get too hot in this Texas heat. We got a sparkling white moscato wine that was half off and we drank the entire bottle and my husband and I are not big drinkers so that goes to show you how good it was! We also got the salmon flatbread and lobster Mac n cheese and both were delicious, if you are looking for great wine , food, and ambiance look no further!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I attend many charity events. We both donate monetarily towards silent auction opportunities. Several months ago, the FOE had a charity for Suicide Awareness. We remembered several friends that lost to depression. Many organizations donated their services. They gave people the opportunity to support this charity. Unfortunately, one business...Urban Vines, refuses to honor their donation. Not just my $250 donation to buy a wine tasting for up to 6 of my friends, but he is not honoring a donation of his establishment to Sanger Elementary school. Tony, the owner is calling our certificates as fraud. Make your own opinions, however, take this under suspicion. URBAN VINES 9219 Garland Rd Unit 1102 Dallas, TX 75218 United States Owner: Tony

Thursday nights are half off wines! Great steak plate too- Rib Eye! Love the outdoor patio with fireplace and live music!

Yelp
Awesome place!! I get the beef, Cristini and the prosciutto flatbread, next level stuff right here!! Nancy was great and we will absolutely be back!!

Yelp
Great place to chill after a long day or catch up with friends! Food: I got the cheeseboard where you get the option of 2 meats, 2 cheeses, and 2 sides. There was plenty to chose from. My favorites were the Brie and the fig jam. The salami was ok but I didn't really care for it, I prefer thin cut meats I think. My wine was also very good and sweet! Atmosphere: the best part. There's a cute fire place outside and string lights, very cosy and casual. If it's a nice day outside for sure go here! Service: I was in a relaxed mood so this didn't bother me, but for some reason there was only one server on a Friday night. She was really good though at handling everyone, I wish I remembered her name so I can give her a shout out! Overall I'll be back!

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Great little local spot! Wonderful Food! Wonderful Staff. Great Happy Hour prices. I would avoid the Lobster Mac And Cheese there was not lobster in my bowl and it was way to cheesy, if that's possible. Great flat bread pizzas Also be careful of live music nights if they are playing inside you can't hear the people ate your table. Wonderful Patio I would say go check it out you won't be sorry. Enjoy

Christine K.

Yelp
Loved the vibe--super cozy and relaxed inside and out. I especially enjoyed being able to bring my puppy on the dog-friendly patio. You can't beat a glass of wine with your baby doggy! Speaking of... I'm no wine expert, but for what it's worth, I think there was a great selection of wine. For dinner, we had the filet mignon and skirt steak which was fantastic as well, and I couldn't believe the reasonable cost! This is our new date night spot. Also, shoutout to our waitress, Allie, who was wonderful.

Yelp
Best South American Wine Bistro in Dallas. Everything on the menu is excellent! I recommend going Thursday Friday or Saturday. Live music on Thursdays. If you come on the weekend get the Peruvian Ceviche and ask for it picante if you like spice.

Yelp
Great laid back comfortable place.. good food & Great Wine selection.. try the Tapas they are fantastic..

Yelp
Wine was bit overpriced and service a little lacking, but overall it was a very nice place to enjoy a bottle on their beautiful patio setting. I might also suggest some variety to the music as we were listening to what seemed like the entire ABBA library, while while I was humming along, my other guest were a bit annoyed. we will be back to try the food and update!

Andrew W.

Yelp
The happy hour value was so good that we expected low-level wine. Not true! And the tenderloin crostini was great. We will be back.

Charles C.

Yelp
One of our Friday night go-to favorites. Quiet, conversation-friendly ambiance. A varied, exceptionally appealing wine list-- and menu. Food is always well-prepared and well-presented. Service is cordial and responsive. Well-performed live music on some Thursdays and Saturdays, for those of you who like that sort of thing.

Yelp
Nice secluded, cozy place. Lobster Mac n cheese was enjoyable. Live music was a nice touch

Yelp
Such a good spot! You can't really tell from the street, but the patio is adorable. They have tons of greenery and a working fireplace, as well as neighborhood kitties who like to stop by! The staff will set up little bowls of water and food for them. The wine itself is great--they have options for every price point. The staff will help you select something if you don't know what to get. Also, the charcuterie board is fantastic! A two-person board is so much food, my friend and I were so full. We stayed for awhile catching up--past closing--so the staff just showed us where to leave our glasses when we left and kept the patio light on. Definitely a great neighborhood spot!

Yelp
Food was tasty. Service attentive. Relaxing atmosphere. I felt I could sit here all night without being rushed.

Yelp
I'm so sad to say that this place has really started to go downhill. After so many great experiences we've noticed a huge decline in customer service. Their staff used to be very helpful and nice but in the last few times we've come in, we were greeted with a surly glance and a "whatdya want" the drinks are plopped down in front of us with no real regard whether the glass cracks or not. Prices have always been high, but we felt they were justified by the service and selection. Now it seems a little outrageous. Doesn't seem worth what we get. The best special is 30% off bottles (on a certain day), but make sure you ask the waitress if a certain bottle is eligible before getting it, or you'll be stuck with full price. This place was such a gem, but has become a disappointment. I can only hope management steps up and fixes things before they run everyone off.

Yelp
Long story short, I will NEVER come here again!!! We were a big group coming for a Wine and Christmas light tour, which the restaurant has known about for a while and last night was so unprofessional, rude, disgusting and everything else you can think of. The owner had the audacity to tell the tour guide that they are never doing business with the company again. Then, had the audacity to serve us on paper plates, they didn't even want to bring the rest of the party glasses for water, yes Water! All because we were party of majority of black women, and mix of other ethnicities that were with our party. One person ordered food and they didn't even put their order in. We all haven't even got there, before the Mexican owner/Manager, whatever he was, had the audacity to decide he didn't want to work with us. Our tour guide had to go to the bus to get paper cups, just so people could get some water, because they refused to serve the rest of us. The sad part is, they were already paid and they acted this way with us, and we all just came to enjoy ourselves and try wine and their food, and nobody did or said anything out of line while there. There weren't even that many people in the restaurant, besides a party of 6, and a few at the bar, and a couple of table of two people. None of us are ever going back and you shouldn't either. Thank you to the waitress that was nice and was trying to be accommodating. #racismstillexist

Yelp
Nice cozy spot. Reasonably priced food and wine. Would be perfect for a small book club meeting.

Yelp
This place is adorable. Very open, bright but calming décor, and also a dog friendly outdoor patio. I sat at the bar with some of my friends and got a nice recommendation on a chardonnay that is made in a metal barrel, so no oaky flavor. It was crisp and delightful. My friends and I split the bruschetta, caprese salad and the pita and hummus. All dishes were great. Fresh and tasty! Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I doubt anything on the menu would disappoint. We met the owner and she is a sweet lady, and informed us that they will be doing weekend brunch very soon. I will definitely be back! PS - they have several beers to choose from too, if wine is not your thing.

Jacob H.

Yelp
Great little hideaway! Nice patio. Great service friendly staff. Love the lobster mac & cheese and the steak! Give it a try.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service amazing owner and love the half price glasses of wine on Thursdays. Nice local spot and I always feel welcome. Even with my doggy.

Marie F.

Yelp
Love when places say they are open when really they are closed they have no sign saying they will be close today and I came all the way from a different city just to eat here with my whole family. Very disappointing and on top of that this place claim to be a dog friendly patio we all brought our dogs in the heat and now we have to figure out where can we have a family outing that will allow us to also have our dog. Very inconvenient very time-consuming and very frustrating. Needless to say there's nothing this establishment can do to make up for this indiscretion and I bet they probably wont respond or even apologize because why would they care about their customer who frequents this restaurant
google avatar

Linda G.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Everytime I come here the food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The wine is divine as well. I highly recommend Urban Vines. The owner is so sweet and caring as well, he always comes out of the kitchen to ask customers how their meal is.
google avatar

Yelp
We LOVE Urban Vines. Such a warm welcoming neighborhood spot. Great food, great wine, and the outside patio with the fireplace is awesome. It is where we had our last glass of wine during COVID the day before the freeze of 2021. The staff is kind and can recommend wine based on your taste preferences. The chef/owner really cares. The noise level is low so you can have deep meaningful conversations. We are never disappointed after our visits. Only wonder why we don't come here more often. Thanks Tony and team!

Yelp
I think this place is under new ownership, and service that was either really good or really bad before recently became really, really bad... at least for me. I visited with friends or ordered to-go 1-3 times per week. I tip well and even tip on to-go orders. I gave this new owner ideas on what to do to increase his customer base. When he had a wine tasting and only 5 people showed up (and the wine reps seemed very perplexed), I put it out on the neighborhood website to try and get people there quickly. I went there two nights in a row recently with different friends and both evenings we had the same server who disappeared or didn't return for a very long period of time. The second night we were the only table there! I even opened the kitchen door and hollered in for someone, but no response. When I got home and saw I was overcharged, I took my receipt back and was rudely accused of switching tickets with my friend (even though it was my credit card number on the receipt!). I was told I had to come back the next day since there was no one on duty to fix it. I then returned home again and found that the new pants I was wearing were pulled badly on the back. I knew they weren't like that when I put them on, so I went back to the restaurant to scrutinize the chair and there was a large splinter in the wood. I showed the server and then I was accused basically of lying. Even though my pants damage lined up perfectly with the splinter, a shocking response ensued and my patience departed. I pulled out my phone and recorded the rest of our interaction. I figured no one would believe me. The next day, I showed the recording to the owner and he told me no one should be treated that way and he would replace the pants via gift card. He ran his hand over the chair that the server had failed to remove and he immediately removed the chair from the dining room. He stated he did not want this to affect my patronage and would work with me to make sure I'm comfortable in the future. He sent an email or two saying the same thing. Every time I've walked in that restaurant since, the same server has been there and only once was there a second server, meaning I would stay. It's too uncomfortable to have someone I am at odds with serve me for various reasons. Per the owner's previous invitation when he gave me his business card, two days ago I emailed a concern to him to see if there would be two servers since I wanted to bring friends that evening. (I definitely did not want an awkward situation with my friends involved.) Instead of simply answering the question, he emailed back the following: "Am really sorry but that not work for me am prefer you take your friends to another place my schedule is my desicion is on my hands thanks so much and so sorry ." I feel like I need to write an obituary for customer service. All he had to do was answer the question, but he chose to be a jerk. Did I ever receive a gift card for the pants? Nope.

Yelp
Came here for a casual dinner with my friends. Only one of us tried the wine, unfortunately, but the food was delicious. We got the bruschetta as a starter and everyone liked it. I ordered shrimp scampi. I forget how much it was (maybe $13-15) but the amount of shrimp they put on the dish was way more than I expected for that price. My only small complaint was that the sauce was a bit watery but otherwise it was great. I also wish the place would either have more affordable wine options or offer some sort of happy hour. Overall, it's a great place for either a nice dinner or wine and snacks.

Yelp
Can't believe it's taken us this long to find a decent wine bar that is only 10 minutes away!! Super cute wine bar that fits my every need. Margherita flatbread (add crispy prosciutto) is divine!!!! Great selections of wine, meats & , cheeses. Loved their music and if u know me, music is so important to me; they had a little bit of 80's.. A little bit of indie pop/rock... A little alternative.. Everything I loved. The atmosphere was so chill.. Dim lighting and all. Outside patio had a nice little fire place but unfortunately it was raining the evening we visited so patio was not an option for us, but maybe it will be next time ;) There were other menu items I was wanting to try but will definitely wait for the next visit to try. I'll update then!

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. We sat on their dog friendly patio since the pups were with us, and they brought out water for them. The patio area was nice and cozy, although there is a lot of noise from the street. I could imagine this is a nice place to have an evening glass of wine. For lunch I had a 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and tomato basil soup. The chicken salad was tasty, not overly creamy, and on a buttery croissant. The soup was kind of plain, not bad, but just not a lot to it. The glass of chardonnay I had was nice and buttery. Hubby had an Italian Panini and thought it was okay. Overall, it was a fine, but not impressive, experience. I ultimately believe I would like this place a lot better as a wine bar than a lunch spot.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Urban Vines is a very generous company. Great to work with and great wine! Perfect location for all surrounding areas.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this special gem. I took my coworker here for dinner and we had the best time on the patio! Yummy sparkling rose, apps, and flatbreads were all great! Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go for date night. The service is always good and the food is great! We love their Caprese salad with the Margherita Flat Bread! They also have delicious entrees. Good selection of wines (although a little smaller selection since Covid arrived). The patio is awesome in nice weather and they have a great fireplace. Can't say anything bad about Urban Vines.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this spot or should I say it found me. The service was great as well as the food and on top of that there was a Live Acoustic Guitarist playing....I had a great time ...it was a great birthday!!!

Yelp
Slather on the sunscreen to protect from all UVs but this one! I came here with a friend after a 12 mile walk. That being said, our tummies were orchestrating a 21st century symphony filled with what sounded like angry percussionists. I was surprised Saturday of Memorial weekend was their second day in business since the service, drinks, and food were on point from late afternoon to early evening...despite the ominous black clouds & heavy rain. THE LAYOUT/DECOR: This small, yet comfy, wine bistro & cafe is located in a most unassuming locale below an apartment complex off Garland Rd. UV has happily replaced what was once Cafe Lago (known as Cafe NoGo to many). When you walk up to UV, you are immediately greeted by a dog-friendly patio filled with comfy dark wicker furniture of various coordinated sizes and configurations, colorful shade umbrellas, a decorative fountain surrounded by corks of past imbibing, and a welcoming large outdoor fire place - sure to toast your chilly bones by during cooler months. The interior is the patio's chic older sister - revving it up with cool and sexy decor. You are immediately faced with a sleek long bar and espresso colored chairs as you step upon lovely large-tiled floors. The owners decided to mix things up inside as they did out - providing various seating configurations ranging from a long 8-top dinner table with a pillow adorned bench to an intimate nook of two lovely cushiony armless chairs with a small table nestled between the two. Alongside bright art, bottles and bottles of wine line the walls - enough to bring out your gluttonous side. Go ahead, buy some for the house! YOU CAN DO THAT HERE! THE OFFERINGS: No, you will not be sacrificing anything unless you consider becoming a regular here a sacrifice of your time. The food menu is limited, but don't take that as a complaint. A small selection of their nibbles include, hummus with pita and salmon crustinis. We tried the flaky salmon crostinis layered with marscapone. I'd hands down recommend them. The two-handed paninis have specialty ingredients such as goat cheese, fig preserves, kalamata tapenade, braised chicken, prosciutto, etc. I tried the braised chicken with drunken goat cheese and all I can say is, life will never be the same. It's not all bread! They have a few salads, none of which I tried. If you'd rather not have a meal, go for one of their healthy portioned meat and cheese boards of your choice - two meats and two cheeses or three of each along with two of their sides, stone ground mustard, crackers, large walnut pieces, and grapes. Yes, my friend and I gorged ourselves on this AFTER our early dinner. Ask about the specialty dark and milk chocolates. They are small delectable bites of heaven! The wines can be ordered from the menu, by the glass or bottle. Your other option is to get off your tuckus and peruse those wine lined walls I mentioned. If you need some help, just ask your server. They are absolute dolls! I can recommend bottles, I mean one bottle, of Cava. ;-) Bringing someone who's not a wine fan? Ask about their great beer selection. SERVICE: Service was impeccable...simply top-notch from owner to waitstaff. When Mother Nature chased us inside from the patio with a heavy down pour, the staff was eager to help us relocate. When we needed to move from a larger table to that cozy nook, staff once again took care of us. Our Cava? Well, it was kept chill and flowing. Hats off to you all! Raise a glass and enjoy. Cheers!

Yelp
Finally a place in this area with some class and good eats! I love what they did with the space and found it very comfy to hang out here... perhaps to comfy lol ;p So new furniture, new menu, new owners, new name, new place and all of those things are good! We had champagne all day, the salmon crustini was a really nice starter. We were starving so I guess it's lucky we didn't start stabbing each other with a fork! Procuitto pennini was amazing with that "fig shmear" shut up! The combo is just ridiculously good... I mean schmear people! They also sell chocolate bites to nibble. We had some, but I'll have to go back and do that with a malbec or Bordeaux... Patio is ubber cuteness. So much so we could barely pick a seat! They also have a puppy permit, do feel free to bring fido... I'll be bringing mine next time. Great peeps, great crowd... you won't be sorry! Edit update: this is an adult bistro. Please do not spoil this adult tranquil place with you sticky fingered little people. So many other places for you to go that I don't patronize... Please leave me one. The world does not revolve around you and your children.

Yelp
Great wine, great food (particularly the cheese plates, which make the perfect potluck dish thanks to their thoughtful arrangement of takeout plates), friendly service, and perfect patio. One of our favorite spots!

Kacey R.

Yelp
We went here on a date night. Always like checking out new wine bars, and this was one we hadn't been to yet. It was a pretty chill location... Very cozy. We got a meat and cheese board. Very limited selection of cheeses and meats, but the price wasn't too bad. Plus it comes with a few other accompaniments that were also tasty. We wanted a dry rosé, so my girlfriend asked the server which of two were dry. The server pointed out the one that was, so this is what we ordered. The wine definitely was not dry. It was on the sweet side for sure. It was still a pleasant bottle of wine, but she did not steer us in the right direction. Anyway, this is a cool spot to check out before or after checking out the Botanical Gardens that are just a stone's throw away.

Yelp
My wife and I have been here a couple of times now and we have nothing bad to say about this place! First of all, you cant go into a wine bar and not order a meat and cheese tray and feel good about yourself. So go ahead and start there. We pretty much just order as much meat and cheese they will allow a table to have. Now, the first trip here, we ordered the tapas (meatballs, mushrooms and shrimp) 10/10 would order again... until I tried their lobster mac & cheese... holy shit! I have complete faith that they could only serve wine, meat and cheese trays and that mac and cheese, and would totally be able to keep the doors open. ITS UNREAL PEOPLE! Go there. Now.

Yelp
Urban Vines is so good! I love coming here to eat with my family. There's always something new and delicious to try. I just had the steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was very savory and delicious. I always come back here and I highly recommend it to anyone else who hasn't been here yet.

Yelp
This is like the Perfect place!! The location, the outside patio, the staff, the wines' variety and the exquisite food! We are so happy that we found this pearl! We do recommend to anyone! We had the 4meat4cheeses and the salmon, with an Aragon Cava. It was perfect for the two of us. The price was absolutely fair. It was little pricey, but it is really, really worth it. Perfect for a evening date, or just hang out with friends.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. Good location, charming interior, but food and service were below expectations. I expected a chef's menu but what we got was uninspired. Our waiter was uninformed about the menu and unprepared for questions, much less recommendations. I'll track reviews for changes and try again if things seem improve. It's a shame because the concept and location seem like a winner.

Yelp
Great little Bistro! Great food and service! Will definitely be back! Wonderful atmosphere to have a glass of wine with friends and chat. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Overall, I would classify this is as unmemorable. The wine was good and I appreciated the Monday happy hour. Pricing was typical of a wine bar. Service was average. Food was unimpressive and we both just picked at our flatbreads. One thing to note is that there is an outdoor fireplace which is nice on early spring evenings.
