"After nearly closing last year, Urbano Cafe is an East Dallas staple we think is worth supporting—good food for good people." - Courtney E. Smith

Urbano Cafe is a special place. We’ve been a couple times over the past month, and the food and staff are consistently fantastic. Kevan, Kelso, and Courtney have been great about making recommendations on the menu and giving insight on dishes to try. The pacing of the meal is fantastic, which is something very hard to find these days. It’s very clear they pay attention to the details of each table. Wine list is thoughtful and very well priced. The entire staff is genuinely kind and welcoming to everyone. The ambiance is truly a vibe in the evening - love all the candles. It’s a lovely restaurant to take your time and enjoy the various courses (and wine!). Every time we leave, we are excited to come back. 💙

It was our first time at Urbano Cafe and we had such a lovely time. Our server, Cody, was fantastic. He made wonderful recommendations for food and wine. He was attentive and made sure we were enjoying our evening. We will definitely be back again.

Google
Great place, great staff, and great food! Also reasonably priced and the noise level is quite tolerable. Had a lovely dinner there this week with a good friend. Table was ready at the time of our reservation...no waiting. Kevin greeted us warmly and we had a nice glass of chianti and and a non alcoholic beer....starters were calamari and shrimp cocktail, both very good. Johnny was our server, and he is always not overly intrusive, but attentive and with good suggestions as to the entire menu. Our entrees were the roasted chicken, which is sublime, and the redfish which is my girlfriend's go to also....it was PERFECT. Complimentary bread was provided which is light, airy and lovely along with softened butter....Great experience! The decor has been updated nicely and this easily gets an unqualified recommendation. We will be back SOON!

Google
I was extremely disappointed on how, I received my food when ordering Uber eats. I picked the shrimp scampi which was a $30 dollar plate. However it comes without noodles, when ordering a side salad very miss leading when the picture is with the noodles. I called to ask for the manager and the lady that picked up was so rude when she was explaining to me how it works on the app. Never even got to speak to the manager. Won’t ever be ordering from here again!

Google
Excellent food, great service, wine available. No bar, I think. The main seating area is nice though rather loud; I think the walls amplify the patrons talking. On my most recent visit, I found they have a small covered patio around back with about 6 small tables (for two ppl, mostly); I actually preferred it. Great place to bring a date for delicious food and wine!

Google
Kevan seated us and set the tone for a fantastic evening. She suggested a glass of their sparkling rose' and it was the perfect start. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the butter! Yes, I said butter! The bread is sourced from Empire Bakery and the restaurant whips its own butter blend, adding oil and salt... delicious! We've driven from Fort Worth several times and have never been disappointed.

Google
Urbano Cafe never disappoints. It is everything we want in a restaurant - fabulous meals, cozy setting and excellent service. We started off with the arancini and Caesar salad (which is the best Caesar I've ever had!) Both entrees were fantastic, as was the dessert. BYOB with a corkage fee allowed us to bring a special bottle for our evening. Our server was attentive and her recommendations were great. We have dined there with friends and family on several occasions and can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

Google
We had a fantastic experience at Urbano for Valentine's Day. The food was great, and our server Johnny was amazing. Very affable and helpful. Here's what we got: App: - Cioppino: Fantastique! Entrees: - Lobster risotto: undeniable best lobster risotto I've had in my life! The risotto was cooked perfectly and paired exceptionally well with the lobster. There was even a citrusy taste to the meal that was simply *chef's kiss*. At the time of the review, this wasn't part of the regular menu. It was on the Valentine's Day menu. Hopefully this item makes it to their permanent menu as well! - DUCK & PEPPERS Agradolce: the duck was prepared well and actually tasted akin to a good piece of steak! Which was interesting because duck usually tastes closer to chicken Sides: - GNOCCHI ALLA "MAC & CHEESE": If you don't like really cheesy stuff, I wouldn't recommend. My wife enjoyed this and it was also highly recommended by our server - BROCCOLI RABE & GARLIC: meh. Would try something else. Dessert: - Tiramisu: Would not recommend. The risotto was the best I'd ever had, but this tiramisu definitely wasn't. The coffee flavor was far too potent. The restaurant was quaint and very much what you'd consider a hidden gem. The atmosphere, along with the risotto and our server made this a splendid experience. Had it not been for the sides and dessert, this place would undoubtedly received 5 stars.

Yelp
Went on a double date to urbano cafe. Had a wonderful time. I loved the addition of the cocktail bar next door. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived but were able to grab a cocktail, I got the sage gimlet and it was perfectly balanced The ambiance is perfect for a date. Felt cozy and romantic, small bistro settings reminded me of LES restaurants in New York. Our waiter was great with recommendations. We started off with free toasted bread and butter which was delicious. the beef carpaccio was very good as well. The Caesar was standard. I was full by the time appetizers were over so shared the rigatoni with sausage that is brought from next-door at Jimmy's and it was very good. My friend got the risotto of the day and the steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
We recently dined at Urbano Cafe, which was once a favorite of ours but we haven't been in several years and it changed hands in early 2024. I'm pleased to report that it was better than I remembered. First, Urbano Cafe is one of the very few places in Dallas that allows you to bring wine. I had picked a fantastic super Tuscan and placed it in the fridge to chill it a bit and of course, I left it there... Not to worry as Urbano has a great list with minimal markup and the sommelier, Kevin helped us pick a nice 2022 Rosso de Montalcino from Valdacava. We started with a glass of sparkling rose while the red opened up. Our starter was a chopped salad in a very light Italian dressing, followed by cioppino with clams, mussels and shrimp in a wonderful tomato broth. These two dishes turned out to be our favorites. The pasta course was orecchiette primavera, which was a little heavy on the pesto but still quite nice. This was followed by the veal Marsala, which was very good and had a touch of sweetness. Service was attentive and they had renovated the decor, a great improvement from the prior (although I did love the Nola pics on the walls in the back room.) It was a lovely evening and we won't wait so long to revisit. Maybe next time I will remember to bring the wine!

Yelp
What an amazing hidden gem! The food here was phenomenal. We also had oysters and the beef carpaccio with truffle. Everything was wonderfully flavored and fresh. Made with wholesome ingredients. & it's BYOB! This is one of those neighborhood spots where the locals know where to get great Italian. Add Urbano's to your next rotation, you will not regret it! The service was also amazing and everyone was so kind. You'll definitely feel like royalty.

Yelp
We have been visiting Urbano Cafe for years, but not on a regular basis. However, we returned about 4 months ago and the new menu has many additional items and the entire dining experience is improved. We have been going on a regular basis monthly and enjoy the food, service and staff. Jeff S.

Yelp
Bread, food, cappuccino was a 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant for an immediate gathering

Yelp
My wife and I went back for Valentine's Day after not visiting for over a year because we thought the restaurant had closed. Once I learned the restaurant was still open but under new management, I called right away to make reservations. The food was good but not as good as it used to be under the old owners, the menu has changed and a lot of our favorites were gone, like the Steamed Mussels, which we considered the best we ever had. The prices have gone up as well, I think almost double what they used to be. The service was great as always. It's a shame, it was the only restaurant that we would repeatedly visit. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Perfect food, wonderful restaurant, incredible staff. Urbano is always a favorite, the linguini scampi is the best I've ever had.

David G.

Yelp
We don't dine out often as my wife is a chef and Texas' restrictive BYOB laws limit opportunities to bring any of our aged wines into restaurants. We first visited Urbano Cafe 6-7 years ago after moving here and hadn't returned as its quite a ride from our home but we'll definitely return in the coming months after last nights experience. Restaurant was rather quiet on this Sat following Thanksgiving. Our friendly server had apparently worked here for years and offered suggestions on the items we were considering. Appreciated the fried zuchini chips brought out as a shared amuse. We shared appetizers, kobe meatballs and a clams casino special. Both were solid, and the marinara / garlic bread that accompanied the meatballs were flavorful. We also enjoyed our mains, Seafood Pasta and Panko-Crusted Salmon. Kitchen even sent out a comp'd side as a thanks for driving the distance to check them out again. Service was attentive and was impressed to see Riedel wine glasses set on each table. Corkage was $20 for the bottle we brought, and the wines I recognized from their list were given a minimal markup. Won't wait so long for our next return visit.

Yelp
Urbano Café--what can I say? This place is the crème de la crème of cafés! I have a buddy who works there, one of my best friends named Johnny B. When you visit, make sure to tell him you read my review. Johnny is one of the kindest, most helpful, and honest people you could ever meet. He is very sincere, and if he makes a recommendation, you can believe it. That's one of the reasons I love this café. The other reason is the food--it's delicious! The ambiance is great, and it has a very local feel. When it comes to service, talk to Johnny B. He'll provide service with a smile and guide you through the menu, offering excellent recommendations based on your taste preferences. I definitely give Urbano Café five stars! My name is Rick Friday, and I approve this message.

Yelp
WE started out going to our favorite Italian food store and decide to walk down the sidewalk to Urbano's Cafe. Here we are on a Friday evening hoping to get a seat. To our surprise we did. We were greeted with great hospitality and seated within a couple of minutes. As we made our way to the table I could see the restaurant was busy and the food looked delicious. Ambiance was cozy and low lit as it should be to set the mood. Our service was on point and patient with our decisions and not feeling rushed at all. Now to the food OMG, Flavor bomb. Your staff and your food exceeded my expectations. Now I can bring others into the light and will return soon with reservations next time. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
I've been meaning to have dinner here and heard great things--it's all true! Wish I would have come sooner. Loved the intimate setting and the food was fresh and delicious! The BYOB/Wine really makes for a smooth experience. Highly recommended

Yelp
Date night fun After an amazing photography session our photographer Rush recommended Urbano Cafe for dinner. Rush was on point the scenery was walking into a warm grandma's dinner room, soft lighting with earth tone colors. The manager was friendly and advised us they preferred reservations but can fit us in now. They open at 5:00pm we got there 5:18pm. The food was amazing we highly recommend you make a reservation and get some Italian home cooking. FYI BYOB no worries Jimmys is next for they have an excellent wine selection.

Yelp
This was such a cute Italian neighborhood spot. The inside is very cozy. We ordered the duck and a pasta dish both were great. The service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Delicious food, kind (and hilarious) staff, and a vibe I have never felt and only seen in movies. If I were to step into an Italian restaurant in Italy, I would want nothing but an experience like this. No music, just a small room filled with conversations and glasses chiming. The kitchen was small and exposed, making an intimate connection with the chefs and our food. I would LOVE to come here again, check them out for a date night or a business meeting, one that requires no talking as you're forced to indulge in the spectacular food, of course.

Yelp
Cute little hole in the wall place. Husband and I sat at the bar and the woman there with the glasses was very sweet and attentive! Loved that they offered BYOB! I ordered chicken pesto, it was delicious but I was surprised by the lack of chicken for a dish that's called the chicken pesto dinner for nineteen dollars lol would order again tho ! My husband got the crispy duck breast and to be honest i felt sorry for him for ordering that. 31 dollars for a under average duck breast and sad looking sides. I think it could have been better for the cost of that dish ‍

Yelp
As a long time patron I love being here every week or two for the fresh tastes, super personalized Service; high IQ Wine offerings and cozy ambiance. I wish St Martins would refresh their tired approach towards what Urbano and Chef Oseas provide nightly. Try it, it is magical every time .

Yelp
Wonderful dining experience at Urbano. Food was delicious and our server, Cody, was fantastic. We sat in their patio area and it was lovely.

Yelp
We came for the first time during Restaurant Week and were blown away at how good it was. For starters our group had the raviolis and the gazpacho, both of which were very good. The raviolis were sinfully tasty in a creamy mushroom sauce that was just outstanding. For our mains, each of us had something different: the pecan crusted redfish, the duck, the veal bolognese and the risotto. Each of us were amazed at how well the dishes were executed, perfectly seasoned, nice accompaniments and the portion sizes were great! Plenty to eat without being stuffed! The service here was outstanding. We interacted with several folks , from our server to food runners to the GM, all of which were at the top of their game. What we really appreciated about it (other than the amazing food) was how the service was so polished and professional but friendly, engaging, and not the least bit pretentious. We loved how the restaurant was small and casual with elevated food and service. The only request we would have is to have bread served with the meals to soak up all these amazing sauces that were with our dishes. We all were thrilled with Urbano Cafe and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Victoria T.

Yelp
Delicious food and incredibly wonderful staff and management! Kevyn, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Cozy vibes and perfect for a date night!

Joshua M.

Yelp
The service, the food, and the ambiance were excellent. The sesame bread was a huge surprise, and the Cesar salad my wife and I shared as an appetizer lived up to the hype. The Mezzi rigatoni was some of the best pasta I've ever eaten and the pistachio crusted red fish was awesome too. My favorite was the ending. The tiramisu was incredible.
google avatar

Connie H.

Yelp
I came in on a chilly pandemic evening and was immediately greeted and welcomed to sit wherever my heart pleased. We started our meal with some Shishito Peppers and Kobe Meatball. Both were amaaazzing. Very flavorful, very well executed. It's BYOB so of course we did. Definitely enhanced our night. Then I followed it with Tenderloin and my friend had the Grilled Duck Breast. I can't speak for my friend but she said she orders it every time and it's never a miss. I believe it. Everything so far has been a hit, as well as the tenderloin. Dimly lit. Patrons are using respectful restaurant talking volume. Socially dsitanced. Wine flowing. Witty bantering server. When he came back around to offer dessert, it was hard to say no, so we didn't. We got the tiramisu. While I like a tiny hint of rum flavor to it, it definitely still very delicious. Great ambiance, great food!

Alex D.

Yelp
Urbano was my favorite restaurant until I went tonight with their new menu. I was super disappointed several of my favorite dishes are no longer on the menu. What happened to the chicken pesto pasta and the risotto balls? The meatballs and the duck? The portions were much smaller and the prices were more expensive. We ordered 2 apps and 3 mains to share and we left still hungry. I'm not sure we will come back with the current menu. I'm so sad about the changes for a once fantastic restaurant.
google avatar

Ian B.

Yelp
Solid date night. Food was good but felt a bit pricey for what we got. I ordered the veal bolognese on server's recommendation--it was good, but nothing more than that. The panko crusted salmon was really good. The caprese s'mores were nice little bites (tomato jam is interesting) -- there are only four of them, so may need a second appetizer if your party is hungry. Service was cordial and helpful.

Sydney F.

Yelp
We loved our time at Urbano Cafe! Not only was the vibe and ambiance stellar, but the staff and food were phenomenal. My husband and I fell in love with their iced tea and the manager came over and gave us some loose leaves to go! That tipped the scales, but everything was great. My friend picked his plate and said it was the best chicken parm he's ever had (and he's in his late 60s and full Italian!). 100/10!

Yelp
A hidden Italian GEM of Dallas. Many have heard of the local Jimmy's Food Store, but haven't heard of this restaurant a few doors down. Urbano cafe is wonderful for a few reasons. 1) generous portions for the entrees 2) AMAZING pastas 3) friendly staff 4) it's BYOB ($6 corking fee) (this factor brings it to 5 stars from 4!!) Some of my favorites include the risotto balls, short rib app, and the rigatoni vodka with sausage from Jimmy's Food Store. There's parking out front. But also a lot in front.

Robert B.

Yelp
Under new ownership while retaining the Chef and waitstaff Urbano is just as good as ever. They have updates the facilities somewhat but unfortunately did nothing to improve the incredible noise level that makes conversation near impossible. The star here, however is the food and I don't know what they do with sauces but everything is so much tastier than similar dishes elsewhere. You may still BYOB but they also have wines and beer available. The staff is great, service friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing is quite reasonable. I am so thrilled they didnt close and will visit again soon

Megan D.

Yelp
An East Dallas gem that offers delicious food at reasonable prices, without any pretense. I love the Parmesan chicken.

C B.

Yelp
What a wonderful place! The staff is friendly and genuinely appreciates the customers. We had the risotto appetizer, salads, blackened ribeye and halibut. All were good. It's the kind of place that you think "we should come here often".
google avatar

Denton H.

Yelp
The kitchen staff always exceeds my expectations. Johnny & Kevin provide informed reviews of the menu items & daily specials and attentive service. Mitch has created a warm and intimate if kinky setting for both dining & socializing. One of our favs for decades.
google avatar

Linda J.

Yelp
Absolutely the best local fine dining experience! Great wine list and to die for food specials!

Franny S.

Yelp
I used to love this place. The hole in the wall vibe and great food was so charming. The BYOB policy changed, it's now $20 a bottle, which is steep. I understand some changes need to be made but if they are raising the prices they need to make it a bit nicer. The bathrooms and overall smell of the restaurant is gross.

Beatty C.

Yelp
Incredible food!! We love the steak, Caprese, and risotto balls. Great pasta! Can't got wrong with anything. Great service!! Super intimate hidden gem

R G.

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best meals we have had in Dallas! How have we missed this little jewel! It's literally steps away from the famous Jimmy's Italian grocery store. The outside is adorable. Inside is so comfortable and welcoming. Like walking into a friends house. Very small dining room but adds to the coziness. Wine selection was great! Service was great. Risotto meatball app with two sauces was incredible. S'more mozzarella app was outstanding. We went with a steak our friend had a fish. Both were wonderful. Would go as often as possible. It's a gem.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Amazing food and service and cozy ambiance. It is very loud in there though. So if that bothers you, calm and ask what nights are less busy/a little quieter! Arancini is the best and the pasta with jimmy's sausage is to die for!

Mimo R.

Yelp
We three dined at Cafe Urbano this weekend. While the food was quite good and the service pleasant and professional, we will likely not be returning to this fave of the past. Seated facing the door - which has neither blinds or a shade, the setting sun shone in my face for most of the time we were there. The blinding light certainly impacted my enjoyment of both the food and the stirring conversation. In addition, the noise level in this small, cramped restaurant was so high we had to shout across a very small table just to be heard. This restaurant is under new management, and so clearly the buzz is out to give it a try. That is wonderful, but if they want returning patrons they need to reduce the number of tables and/or install some sort of sound absorbing material in the walls and ceiling. Where did restaurant owners/managers get the mistaken idea that a cacophony of noise equals the "buzzy" ambience that diners are seeking?

Yelp
This is the best Italian food you will get in the DFW metroplex. Everything is homemade and will remind you of being in Tuscany. Call to get a reservation!!

Yelp
Located in East Dallas, this restaurant offers a charming ambience and delicious food. I went here with a party of 9, and they were very accomodating. We sat in the middle section of the restuarant, and our waitress was very attentive to our every need. I personally ordered the scallops and white fish pasta with a side of mac and cheese with risotto balls as the appetizer. All were excellent! Although, I wish the portion size was a bit bigger for the pasta. It's also a BYOB type of restaurant, but they do charge a corking fee of $5 per person. I did get jealous of other people's food though during dinner. The lamb, beef tenderloin, and fried chicken all caught my eye. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu!

Yelp
We recently moved into the neighborhood and have been looking forward to trying this spot. They are reservation only so make sure to call ahead. Urbano Cafe advertises as American Italian and that is exactly what it is. It's Americanized versions of Italian comfort foods and it's delicious. This is a casual spot with a high end menu. We were very pleased to find a hand sanitizing station waiting for us on the sidewalk when we walked up. Our waitress was fun and high energy while maintaining professionalism. We ate in the "two doors down" dining room which is in a very cool 1920's building. It being our first time, we wanted to try a wide variety of dishes. We ordered the risotto balls and the short ribs for appetizer. The risotto balls were good but the short rib was to die for. I'd definitely have eaten it as an entree. We decided to split the duck since we'd heard it was so good and it lived up to the hype. The skin was crispy and inside succulent. We also had the warm pear and Gorgonzola side which was my favorite. My husband loved the calamari and while the Gorgonzola Mac and cheese looked like an Alfredo, it tasted fantastic! We finished off with the tiramisu which was a nice sweet treat at the end of a great meal. This restaurant is byob with a $3 uncorking fee so be sure to bring your favorite wine. They also have plenty of tables fit for large groups and you can even rent out a private room or book the back patio space for events. They told us up front we could only have our table for 2 hours and despite ordering so many different dishes we were in and out in an 1.5 hours. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
We made reservations about an hour earlier got a table for 2 at 6 pm. It's a pretty small quaint place and filled up pretty quickly as it got to seven but seems like most people had reservations. It's byob so picked up a bottle of wine at Jimmy's right next door (there's a 5 dollar per person corkage fee) For food we got the pork chop and crispy salmon. The crispy salmon comes on a bed of lettuce, mango, roasted cauliflower. The entire dish was sooo delicious. Salmon had a crispy top but melted in your mouth and I reaaaaally enjoyed the lettuce and roasted cauliflower salad. It was the perfect combo for a hot day. My friend really liked his pork chop as well. We also got a side of the beans and tomatoes which was very simple but sooo flavorful. For dessert we got the creme brûlée along with coffee and that was perfect to share for 2 people. The dessert itself was perfect, not too sweet which is what we both like. The staff was very helpful and nice. Overall really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This small, family owned restaurant is our favorite place to go with friends and for any celebration. The food is consistently outstanding and the wait staff are friendly and attentive (not overly so.) we love that Mitch, the owner, stops by the tables on occasion to say hello. Also, it is a BYOB place so you can bring your favorite wine! Be aware they do have a corkage fee. Andy they have house wine for sale too.

Yelp
Happy birthday to me! I recently had a birthday dinner here with several friends and was happy with how it all turned out. FOOD: The food is so good. I want to return soon. So many different entrees and starters were ordered so we were able to share a bit and taste each other's orders. Starters: Mussels - I love mussels. These were served in a garlicy chorizo tomato broth and everyone who tried them loved the flavor. The only thing I would change is how the bread is served. Toast it up nicely, and it would be even better! Hawaiian Ceviche - I thought this was just ok. I wouldn't order it if I return. It was a bit lackluster for me. Caprese S'mores - These were good; large portion. Wagyu Meatballs - They were very flavorful but I didn't think they were outstanding. Entrees: Pan Seared Scallops - It's hard for me to NOT order scallops if they're on the menu. These were served on a bed of risotto and were cooked to perfection. Pork Chop - I rarely order a pork chop. My friend ordered it and I was surprised with the juiciness and tenderness of the pork. SERVICE: From the reservation process to dinner service, Urbano exceeded my expectations and were more than accomodating. Even with a reservation, there was some wait time because the group prior to us had not vacated the space we were going to sit at. In the meantime, our server popped open a bottle of the wine we brought and poured us a serving. The place is small, so we were standing squished near a piano just past the tables. Urbano does charge a corking fee and a cake serving fee per person for the items you bring (wine/cake). FACILITY/PARKING: The facility is VERY small. There are two different entries. My party was seated in the room on the left which I believe can be rented for private events. I'm not sure how many can be seated there, but their website has information regarding that. The entry on the right has quite a big step when you walk in. Be careful! I really loved the intimate and warm feel of the restaurant. If you are looking for a special place for a smallish group or a dinner date idea, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won't regret it. Urbano is next to Jimmy's Food Store. Parking is minimal, but I got lucky and parked right in front of Urbano.

Yelp
This is probably the most underrated Italian restaurant in the dallas area. Boyfriend and I came here for my birthday and I am so glad we did. The food is nothing but delicious! I know duck can sound intimating to some people but you really can't knock it until you try it bc this place has one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. I also got to try their steamed mussels as appetizer, crispy duck breast and herb crusted tenderloin as entree. My absolute favorite would have to be the crispy duck breast. The meat was so well-flavored and tender. In addition, the skin stayed crispy but full of flavor! You have to give it a taste. Most importantly, this gem is BYOB. You can bring in your favorite bottle or stop by Jimmy's food shop (right next door) for a bottle before dropping in for dinner.

Came for lunch and found out that the often-mentioned risotto balls (arancini) only offered for dinner. Will need to come back for it. Came for lunch and ordered the veal Bolognese pasta since it was the only pasta dish in the menu. They may have another pasta dish as a special though. Veal Bolognese is a good deal, at $13 compared to $22 for dinner. Dinner menu seems to be a bit overpriced at first glance, but maybe the portions are also bigger but I found lunch portions to be big enough. The Bolognese sauce was made from scratch and the pasta was well prepared. Good pasta and filling portions. Cute little place, good for casual yet romantic dates. Reminds me of Buena Vista Bistro in Miami, in the old days. While yelp says this is an Italian restaurant, I found it to be more American (but not Italian-American). They have sandwiches and salads. And also toffee pudding dessert and chocolate cake. No Italian desserts.

Yelp
We went there last night for dinner as a family, and it was terrible, for the following reasons: They did not wash the lettuce in the salad. All 5 salads tasted like dirt. The whole family sent them back. It actually grainy when I chewed it. The food came out cold. The soup that I ordered, actually came out after everyone had completed their meal They cut one of the scallops in half in my husband's $25 risotto and scallop dish. They served on top of the dish a medium scallop and a large scallop cut in half totaling two scallops on the dish.Basically we paid $11 dollars a scallop. They offered us free dessert , which we declined. It is not about that for us. When we get the opportunity to go out as a family, the dining experience is important. I usually do not write reviews to complain, however, this experience really was bad.

Yelp
Just do it. Just go to this place. It's a bit tiny, but get a little cozy. It's worth it. Maybe it's the wine talking, but this place is definitely my favorite Italian place now. I love a good pasta with wine, and when I can drink to my desire (because it's BYOB) I will. Came with a group of friends, and it was relatively free since we came after dinner rush. We stayed till closing, but the waiters made no hints to rush us out, which was super nice. I know no waiter likes keeping customers exactly till closing time, but thank you for being patient with us! We got the mussels as an appetizer. I want to say it was good but hard to remember cause they were gone in a flash! I do enjoying the sauce, which is my main reason for getting mussels. So nice job on getting that right! I got this shrimp risotto and by golly I'm counting the days till I can go again. They only give you 5 shrimps, but honestly five is a good amount for a fancy Italian restaurant. The risotto was the best part. It was just the right amount of creamy. Instead of reading about my tasting experience, I'd suggest you try it out yourself. I never do justice with this stuff. Yes 10/10. I'd bring a date here. If I brought you here, it probably means I really like you

Yelp
Mitch and his team have pulled together and outlasted Covid. Always good, excellent service and incredible prices on his wine (Or you can bring your own). It is far and away the best value in town today!

Yelp
Seriously disappointed. Here are the positives: We called on our way south and were pleasantly surprised to find that they could accommodate a party of two. The woman who answered the phone was warm and professional. She is the one who greeted us upon arrival, and that impression remained. Once seated, our server Kevin greeted us. We let her know we were ready to order because we were in a bit of a hurry. I asked for her recommendation between two entrees, her only advice was "Follow your heart. I've been here ten years. It's all good." When she came back with waters, I asked for recommendations on red wine. Again, she was reluctant to lead, which just seems odd for an experienced server. My husband's Caesar salad came out. Dressing and cheese were delicious. The cut on the lettuce was really thin for a Caesar though - certainly a picky critique, but it makes it hard to get on the fork. I mentioned to my husband that it seems like Kevin had decided we weren't worth her attention. I don't know why, I just had that vibe. Sure enough, I don't think we saw her again. Another server delivered our entrees. She was primarily focused on her own tables but when she noticed ours needed attention, she came over to check on us. The other server took my order for a second glass of wine. Eventually she also cleared our plates. When I asked if our server was off for the night, she dismissed her absence as team service. While that may be so, there was one person on the team at the start of our meal and another for the rest of the meal. After the switch, it never felt like the second server "had" our table. My credit card sat out for over 15 minutes before anyone noticed. We never saw a bill before the card was run. Based on service, this was a one star experience. For food, I would give it two stars. We both ordered risotto - two different versions. My husband had the regular version with Jimmy's sausage. The sausage was the star. The risotto was undercooked. I had the special, a blackened shrimp risotto. The flavor profile was good but the rice was also undercooked. What was really weird were the two blogs of tartar sauce on either side of the plate. Gross. And it just didn't make sense on an Italian plate. As we left, we passed both women who serviced our table, a guy who seemed like he might be a supervisor, and the woman who initially seated. Not a single person acknowledged our departure. I NEVER tip 15%. Tonight I did. We will stick with Jimmy's when we are in the area.

Yelp
Upfront, we didn't dine here. We DID come for a wine and chocolate pairing event. Another great place tucked into an interesting strip of stores and other eateries. The servers were cool and interactive throughout our event ( same restaurant servers). The side of the restaurant we were on felt small and intimate in a good way. A really nice date place. Several people at our table ate there regularly, and we did see the dinner menu which looks delicious. But we were in our happy place after the wine and chocolates. Reservations are strongly suggested.
