We had the chance to try URBN Pizza at a pop-up event at a brewery, and it was such a great experience! We ordered a pepperoni, jalapeño, and hot honey pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy and perfectly cooked from their wood-fired oven, and the toppings were just the right amount—fresh and flavorful. We were just looking for an afternoon snack, so we split the pizza between six of us, and it was the perfect size—everyone got one to two slices, and it hit the spot. The two guys working were super friendly and helpful, recommending the hot honey, which ended up being a game-changer for flavor. After trying it here, I’ll definitely be visiting their restaurant soon! If you love wood-fired pizza with fresh ingredients and a crispy crust, URBN Pizza is a must-try. 🍕🔥

Okay so we stumbled on this place while drinking in the neighborhood. Pies were HUGE and so good. For two people we order the meatballs and a pie of the month and still had leftovers. Thankfully the pie also had was delish cold 👏🏼💯

Google
Delicious thin crust pizzas and wings. Casual industrial style restaurant. You have to try the Thanksgiving pizza, it's my favorite. The meatball pizza was very good too. Wings are very good too. A small pizza feeds two people generously. Parking is always difficult, prepare to walk a bit.

Had to try the New Haven pizza - super tasty, definitely some of the better pizza I have had in San Diego!

Google
Service was only amazing because of jamal!! He was amazing from start to finish accommodating our party of 8. When we first arrived the host in the front who is in this picture said they could not sit us because they had 2 reservations of a party of 12 and 15 but yet there was MANY empty tables and failed to even give us options of splitting our party of 8 into different smaller tables. She just rudely turned us away. It wasn’t until we asked if we could just get 2 small tables that she let us sit but has a bad attitude about it. It wasn’t until we were sat and Jamal came to us and we saw a table in the very back of the restaurant that seats 8 exactly that we asked him if that table was available and he said yes and moved us so we could all be together. From start to finish JAMAL was amazing . Constantly checking in with us. This place needs more employees like him. Not like the host at the front rude and not even accommodating and on top of it INAPPROPRIATELY dressed for a family restaurant. See the pic attached to see what she was wearing the purple jump suit with her pants down her butt .

Mothers Day and there was still seating. Most orders we noticed were to take home. Great atmosphere, quick service, polite servers, and clean restaurant. Ordered for take home last year. Glad we decided to stay there. Very relaxing. Food was great and boxed separately the pizzas, when we were ready to leave, which was awesome.

Google
I ordered a large red pie through a delivery service and I was really impress with the size. It was as big as my kitchen table, and delicious. They let you add different toppings on each half of the pizza, and the cost of the pie plus the toppings was around 30$. The pizza was tasty and the crust was really nice (I love crust!) I will definitely eat here again.

Great place for pizza and drinks service was great prices were decent. The only reason I can give it 5 stars is that it closes early and no close parking.

Yelp
Amazing pizza; horrible service. For dine in and carry out. I wanted to order ahead and have been on hold for over 50 minutes. U actually drove down and placed my order in the time it took for them to take me off hold. Update: as I sit here waiting for my pizza I ordered in person. The front took and call and placed an order for them while I'm still currently on hold....

Yelp
So I was meeting with some friends and decided on this spot as it had food. We grabbed some drinks and ordered some food. I got some wings and I was blown away by the portion size. The wings were amazing and the grill flavor just adds to the experience. The wings were pretty sizable as well. The pizza my fried ordered was amazing and I wish I would have ordered that one to go. I chose the sausage and pepper to go and didn't realize it didn't have mozzarella cheese , but Gorgonzola which changed the flavor. Lesson learned. Of note the bar area only has one Tv, FYI.

Yelp
My friend and I were checking out an event at Queen Bee and needed a place to fill up. We split the meatball dish and the mash potato pizza. Meatball dish - wow. Lots of flavor. 3 big meatballs that were very filling. If this was your only meal, the bread portion is tiny, just FYI mash potato pizza (small size) - wow. I djdnt think it would work but it did! If the pizza dough were any thicker, it probably would not have tasted as good. Nice thin crust with the mash potatoes and bacon. So good. I ended up dipping it in some of the meatball sauce. The place itself is pretty big. We came on a monday night so it was really empty. Street parking available.

Yelp
In a nutshell; Great food, easy dine-in or take out experience, but only difficulty is just parking. They have anchovies pizza, which I don't think a lot of places sell now adays, or at least ones that I know of, so this was a surprise. They were great enough to accept a pickup order just as they were about to close so that's a plus for providing quality food Just as their pickup window was closing down. The establishment certainly fits their name as an "urban park". The employees were nice as far as I interacted with them. Again only qualm about the place and ones around it is that it is street parking and that can have its share of problems. Overall neat place. Try the anchovies pizza.

Yelp
Great pizza. They also have some pretty good drink specials. Lots and lots of seating with an open concept for family or big groups of friends. Pretty decent selection of liquors. Happy hour for sure. It's located on a busy area of north park, easy to walk to if you live in the area. Good people watching options. Velvet was the bartender, she's awesome and has been here forever so clearly it's a good spot for her. Thanks for the great experience.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, best pizza in town and with the recent adjustment of employees it's back to being my favorite spot. Thank you!!!!!!!! And keep up the great work!

Yelp
Everything was awesome the mashed potato pizza was for sure a hit as well as the salad. My daughter wasn't a fan of the Brussels and be careful the wings are pretty spicy. Overall great dinner would for sure come back.

Yelp
This is a local favorite. I love that you can mix and match their craft pies as long as they have the same base for the pie ! Their drinks are strong and refreshing! We went on a Monday night and it had a few families with babies, a group of friends and few couples. So it's definitely cozy for everyone. We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us waters and a menu before even asking and had our cocktails ready for us quickly ! We ordered and food came out after a while but it was definitely worth the wait. I was so excited about the food I started eating before I could take any pics

Jon M.

Yelp
As others have stated the service was poor. No one at the host stand for over 15 min on a Monday night. Went for food and drinks. There was a huge group in the bar area. Ordered an appetizer and waited over an hour and a half after asking multiple times. Server comped it when it did arrive since it took so long. Friends ordered a pizza and it took an hour. Only 2 tables occupied in the back dining area including us. And it was very loud. Don't go if you want to converse a lot. Open industrial ceiling and concrete floors make it hard to hear if there is a large crowd in the bar area. Food was good when it came. Needs better service for the pricing. $24 for a small pizza and $35 for a large. If the bar area is crowded and time is a factor turn around and go somewhere else for a quieter and faster experience. "Every second counts" is not one of their values. Bar staff would get 4 stars since they seemed swamped but it didn't make up for the overall experience.

Yelp
The pizza is phenomenal! Ashley, the bartender and our server, was SO awesome! Great service and really friendly. I cannot wait to return to try more. Nice big open restaurant with lots of seating. Bathrooms were spotless. Good vibe.

Yelp
This pizza place was amazing. Everything that we order drom salad to pizza was great. I love the URBN salad and hot honey pizza. The place was huge and very cozy. The only thing is that they are short staff when we came, but the best is that they still have a great smile and great attitude towards the customer which is a high class of service to me. I will definitely will come back and recommend this place for anyone who loves to eat pizza. BTW, they offer gluten free pizza, yay!
google avatar

Yelp
I really like this pizza joint. You definitely get your money's worth. The pizza honestly soo good! Doesn't matter what you get. Just know that if you get a large it's good for more than three or four people. You also have the option of building your own. They have appetizers, salads, of course pizza and desserts. The place i rather large so I'd say seating isn't really an issue. Parking can be a challenge. But this place I think is good for a large party setting or get together. Staff is great. Good service! I highly recommend.

Yelp
I love Urbn! Definitely my favorite pizza spot in San Diego. My previous favorite was regents, but Urbn's quality definitely surpasses Regents. I recently got the hot honey pizza and added ricotta cheese and it was so delicious. The wings are also so amazing! Service is usually great and fast. It's kind of loud inside but other than that it's a cool spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Come here every so often just to order their mash potato pizza. Truly a treat. All their pizzas are great too. What I think makes it is their crust. Light thin and crispy.

Yelp
Pizza was delicious!! This is a nice place, very nice!! The large pizza is huge! This pizza is also very thin, like thin thin which has a nice crunch it to. Now my opinion it was much thinner than I would like, but we left no slice behind! Hubz got the clam pizza, it's a no for me but so are claims. He enjoyed it and ate it all! We got the pepperoni, mushroom and bacon and it was very good. Sauce was good and it didn't dry out, especially being in a coal oven. We also had wings and my daughter is still talking about them! Buffalo sauce and ranch and it's a go! Waitress was cool! We were the only ones there so she was attentive and brought our food out as it came out. Check it out for yourself!

Yelp
NOT GOOD and overpriced. I had been to the one in one paseo and thought it was decent and then came here and thought I'd never go back. Spent 100$ on 3 items.

Yelp
One of my friends suggested that we come here for lunch and I'm so glad that we decided to check it out! We came here on a Sunday around 1pm and surprisingly there was plenty of seating in the restaurant. Our hostess and waiter were both super friendly and allowed us to pick our table. Since we weren't terribly hungry, we shared a small mashed potato pizza and had some leftovers. If your party is hungrier I would definitely recommend ordering a large or perhaps some appetizers. I'm not going to lie--I was a little nervous at how the execution of a mashed potato pizza would be, and envisioning we would all be in a food coma after copious amounts of mashed potatoes. However, Urbn does this so well and their pizza was light and crispy and the mashed potato wasn't overwhelming. While it wasn't the most amazing pizza I've ever had, it was a solid spot and I would definitely return if I am ever in the area and craving a pizza and be able to try out some of their other offerings!

Yelp
We've been here before and the service wasn't good but we went again and it was 10x worse. We had to ask for silverware and then napkins. The server was irritated and kept getting on his phone in between tables visible to everyone. The drinks they brought were flat and took 30 mins to get us a bottled one. I heard the table next to us say their beer was flat too. Idk if they didn't feel like changing out the c02 because it was later in the night or what. The food was good. I like the pizza a lot but the service is absolute rubbish. Opt for takeout pizza if you try this place.

Yelp
Second time coming here and we still love the pizza! This time we got the peppered salami. The name is a bit deceiving - it's salami and spicy peppers - not the black ground peppers. They put a decent amount of salami. It's slightly not because the peppers. We ordered again the brussel sprouts and this time, I wasn't a fan - it had too much gorgonzola.

Yelp
One of my favorite pizza spots in San Diego. Everything we've ever tried here was delicious; from the wings, to the salads and their signature pizza. Anytime I come here I must have their Urbn salad because it is so good! Usually have their mashed potato pizza but just had their pepperoni which was delicious. Finished our meal with a s'mores pizza. I thought it was ok but my daughter really liked it. Servers were very attentive and friendly. And we came in for an early dinner so it wasn't crowded at all. If you love coal fire pizza, you will love this place!

Yelp
TERRIBLE service. I made a pickup order online, and the pickup time said 5:27pm. I get to the restaurant early since I live a minute away walking. Around 5:30 I ask and the waitress (the only person working there) says it's not ready yet. Granted it's a Wednesday night; there's not many customers there. What bothered me the most was that she takes her SWEET time taking orders and doing other things. So it seemed like she did everything possible to delay going back there and giving me my pizza, which was obviously COLD when I got home. Again, I live less than a minute away on foot. Additionally, other customers arrived while I was waiting and she ignored them as well, completely unbothered.

Yelp
I never leave a review BUT PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND LISTEN TO THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS I got there almost 30 minutes after I placed my phone order. Asked for my pizza and one of the many hosts said they would check. Well she prob never did... I wait 20 minutes in the restaurant, they finally check again after I ASK , just to discover my pizza had been on the rack the whole time waiting for me... No apologies were made Not only was my pizza obviously cold, but even after reheating, it was awfullll. Super dry, and the ranch i used to choke it down had no flavor ! i do not recommend this place lol

Lexi B.

Yelp
I came to Urbn on a Saturday night with some friends and ordered a couple pizzas. 2 came out on time and the other 3 never showed up. I asked the waitress and she said all the pizza went to another table. I then waited another hour and a half and they still did not serve me. I asked when it would be coming out and they couldn't give me an answer and was very rude to me. I waited 2 hours for mediocre pizza. I will not be returning for this awful service.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great spot for pizza! Everything is good, you cannot go wrong. I've been in a few times and really like the Brussels sprouts and the urbn salad. We came in late night last night for a bite after some bar hopping. We had the pizza with pepperoni, jalapeños, and hot honey. So good!
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
I love this pizza so much I had them cater my wedding. The honey hot is my favorite, meatballs are bomb, even the vegan pizza is great! Thin crust. Neapolitan style
google avatar

Curt T.

Yelp
The mashed potato pizza was crazy good. The crust was thin and didn't have a lot of cheese but the mashed potato on it was good and the bacon. I would never think to get mashed potatoes on pizza but it worked!! The margarita pizza was just as good. I can see myself coming here for pizza regularly. Definetly in the top of choices for pizza. Brussel sprouts was crispy and delicious. The bacon in it was good but hard to see it in there when it's dark. Service was good and friendly. The furniture seemed a little old and worn out. Some of the foam cushions were poking through. But comfortable.

Yelp
I've walked past Urbn countless times and for whatever reason it's been never crowded from the outside looking in. We decided to try it one night and I'm honestly shocked by how there aren't more people here trying their pizzas. I'm not saying Urbn is the best I've ever had, but all things considered vs other pizza joints in San Diego that I've tried, I think Urbn definitely can stand on its own and deserves more people trying it out. Truthfully the pizza menu isn't all that exciting with maybe the exception of the clam or mashed potato pizza. But we opted for the Polpetta con Provolone which had Meatballs, provolone, ricotta, Red sauce, Basil, and parmesan. The flavors were on point and everything worked well together. The pizza is fairly thin and has that floppiness to it when you pick it up, but that's not a bad thing. The crust was chewy and crispy, just perfect. If you are a pizza lover then definitely stop by to try Urbn.

Yelp
My work brought in pizza from this place to commemorate a rare achievement among nursing facilities. And while I was unable to go to the celebration personally because of work obligations, my boss' boss brought me a plate of four different slices for me to take home. And I was able to eat all the slices during dinner tonight. They're interesting, but ultimately a big letdown. I'm going to guess that one of them was some kind of buffalo chicken pizza because when I bit into it, it was REALLY spicy and I couldn't handle the heat initially, but then kind of got used to it. There was some kind of barbecue sauce pizza. That was okay. I kind of liked the sauce. And there was some kind of potato pizza and a pizza with red sauce and basil. They all weren't that great. I just didn't like the overall taste of the slices nor the fact that the slices were so thin. I guess I like my pizza on the thicker side. These weren't it.

Sarah R.

Yelp
It's definitely the closest this you'll find to New Haven pizza this side of the Mississippi (or at least in Southern California). But for the price, the toppings were a bit light. An obvious knock off on Bar (in New Haven), decor and all, but Bar loads up the pizza and here I was getting about 1.5 pieces of eggplant per slice. And the end slice had no toppings. Also the crust was thick by New Haven standards but probably for the average SD person, maybe you can't go much thinner.

Yelp
I have been here several times and come back for the food. The pizza is excellent. Sadly the list ends there. The service is abhorrent- we often attend off-peak when there is hardly anyone dining and it always takes forever to get the attention of the waitstaff. The prices are exorbitant as well, even considering the size of the pizzas which are very large. This evening was our worst experience. We ordered on their website at 8:15 and our receipt email said the food would be ready at 8:35. We arrived at 8:40. At 9:05 we were finally told one pizza is ready and another has to be remade, and the hostess didn't know why. We ended up waiting for 40 minutes for our food. I have a toddler and my time is valuable to me. If you need more time, reflect the ETA correctly on the receipt. We were only offered a partial refund (15%) after I complained. I paid over $100 and tipped (in advance). The crowd this evening was clearly there to drink and my food purchase was a low priority. The pizza is really very good but I just can no longer tolerate the service. We won't be back. PS. Attached is a photo of the $10 Caesar salad. No croutons. Ridiculous.

Yelp
Great food and service. We went during a weekday for a late lunch and the place was really empty. Food was excellent!

David J.

Yelp
Nice staff, but the pizza kind of sucked - a little burnt around the edges and almost too floppy to eat.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
It's hard to find parking in this hood, but since we did it was a great time to visit this joint! Started out with a salad while our pizza was baking, and of course a brew! Great local beer selections and mixed cocktails for my bride. Ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza... garlicky sauce, chicken, and even the spinach I didn't mind! Ambiance is warehouse industrial, service was too cool to smile, and prices were above expectation. This place was just average, so I cannot commit to a repeat visit...this joint does not make the list.

Yelp
2pm 8-30-24. The food was delicious but the service was the worst I've ever had at any restaurant. Our waitress, a red-headed woman, never introduced herself to us, she took our order then jutted her hands out us as if we were not doing something completely obvious. She wanted the menus I guess. We laughed it off at first. Then all of a sudden I feel a mist on us. What is that? I turn around. She's spraying cleaning products at the table behind us (not sure if any actually got on the table). Five minutes later my boyfriend asks for another beer as she's about to pass by our table, he repeats himself because she didn't seem to notice, and she walks past our table completely ignoring him. Five minutes later she sets the pizza we ordered on the table and walks away without another word. Empty beer has been sitting at the edge of the table the whole time. Not to mention we needed napkins and wanted to ask for condiments. So when she walks past us five minutes later (never stopping to check in on us) I say excuse me! Can you please grab another beer for us. Thank you. She heard and said yes as she continued walking. The restaurant was practically empty btw. And my favorite. Still wasn't done speaking to her \ still didn't have napkins or condiments, so I said excuse me again as she reached her register/computer a few feet away. "Can we also please have some ranch?" She turned as I was mid-sentence, rolled her eyes at me and mouthed very obnoxiously with all the attitude she possessed "Im on the phone" Didn't even see it at first sorry.. wouldn't have to try to catch you while you're doing something else if you'd ever stop at our table.. A few minutes later she walks to the table, and again, with MAJOR attitude, eye rolls, head tilt and the works... "what did you say? I couldn't hear you, I was on the PHONE" I asked politely for the ranch for our table of 4 and she came back with one single container and the beer finally. Never check on us again. Will never be going back and I hope this restaurant hires some new staff. It's a shame because their food was good. Not worth the extreme rudeness though.

Yelp
Came here for the first time back in 2018 and had tried their mashed potato. So I was in town again this past weekend and had to stop by. Even though its been a couple of years it continues to be just as amazing. Food is always fresh and great quality, the place is pretty chill and perfect for a lunch or even evening out. Highly recommend you try the mashed potato pizza, we ordered a small for 2 people and it was more than enough. There's also lots of other restaurants around the area so it's pretty nice area to chill around after stopping by here

Yelp
This is a very popular pizza spot in heart of north park. I've been to a couple of its locations before and have always been pleased but this experience did not live up to my expectations. It was pretty busy, but not all tables full and we did not have to wait at all for a table. Despite that, they seemed short staffed as it took us about 15 to first be seen and then after ordering another about 20 min before the waiter came to tell us the pizza we originally ordered wasn't available. We got our food and that was good, so that's definitely a positive to our meal. Despite that, will not be running back considering the service we experienced.

Yelp
I had a pretty disappointing experience. As kindly as I can say, the service was terrible. I went here this past Saturday around 1:30 p.m. The restaurant was maybe at 45% capacity. It took her server at least 15 minutes to come over to greet us. I locked eye contact with her multiple times prior to her coming over... The layout is very open, so you can literally see everybody. I didn't understand what she was doing: as in, she didn't look busy. She didn't even apologize for how long we were waiting once she evenually came over. She didn't even introduce herself. She just said, "What can I get you? "... I also observed multiple tables frustrated to just get their check and pay their bill. Including two separate tables going up to the bar, just to close out. So, I recognize that I was not the only one experiencing this lack of service. I completely understand if you're short staffed, but I felt like there was no consideration or empathy for the bad service... It's very unfortunate because their pizzas are pretty good. But the whole process felt very exhausting and stressful. I really hope this is just a bad day or feedback for this individual server.

Yelp
The bbq chicken pizza is FIRE! Shared a large amongst 4 girls and it was perfect. Our server was very attentive and kind to us! Perfect spot to grab drinks and food with friends. Parking can be a bit rough, even on week days considering we went on a Wednesday night. I recommend getting there early to look for parking if you make plans there with friends. It's close to other local breweries as well so you could always bar hop! :)

Yelp
First time there on Friday and the eggplant and mashed potatoe pizza were SO GOOD! Our waiter was super nice as well and she made sure our drinks kept coming in! Loved it and will come back again!

Yelp
Flimsy pizza, burnt pizza and person taking order today with a bad attitude. This was actually purchased in June but I'm just getting around to doing a review. I have not been back because if I have to order pizza like this, I refused to go back to this place. This was an order to go and when you get home, this is what you get, unacceptable.
google avatar

Nayyirah F.

Yelp
Came here at random a couple times. I'm used to going to the Urbn Vista location and each location has different pies but this location was very accommodating and even made me a pizza I like to get that wasn't on their menu. It was pretty empty when I went but I think it was on a Monday. This location is definitely one of the bigger ones and located in a great area if you like to bar hop like me. (:

Yelp
A 2 rating because: - when the pizza gets cold, it's a whole other pizza! And in a strange kinda way. See video. - Got the GF mashed potato pie with bacon and mozzarella. - When it's hot it's edible and tastes good bc most things with bacon do, but when it is luke warm to cold it's not edible. - The crust is rice flour which I normally love, but the crispy crust had rice flour between the mushy rice crust and the crispy rice crust. That didn't seem right? - Then on top of that mushy rice crust was a thick layer of cheese that had globbed up together. - then each slice came with bacon on top and all the fat as well as the bacon and a few lumps of potato on each of the slices. - Interesting pizza. It looks like a little Caesar's type pizza and thin. - For $30 for pickup or dining in, just feels way overpriced for what you get. I see many swear by this place, but for $30 a pizza including tax and tip vs what you get, to me it is not worth the value. Very cute storefront and inside. Maybe if I were back in my college days this would be a vibe. And maybe if I ate regular crust it would be different. For me, it's not gonna work.

Yelp
Good BBQ chicken pizza! Thin crust made it better bc I could eat more :') Okay service. Good ambiance. Strong happy hour drinks but they charged us full price and I realized too late :( Def check the bill twice. I think this place is good and a fun spot to hang with friends but I wasn't super impressed and was expecting more after reading reviews.

Yelp
Love this place. Its our go to for pizza. Why? The Urbn house salad is my favorite salad ever. Small is huge! Ditto for the pizza. It's super thin crust (New Haven style) so one slice isn't very filling, but the size of the pie is massive. Staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. Cool warehouse-like industrial interior with funky murals. Plenty of varied seating options for large parties or small. Bonus... their music playlist is eclectic and fun. Try it if you dig uber thin crust pizza!

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews and always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but this time, I left very unhappy. Everything started well. We went in a little before 6, and we were seated right away. It wasn't dinner time yet so the place wasn't busy. We ordered an urbn blonde and a pineapple cider. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us decide between the 2 pizzas that we were interested in. We ended up ordering the wings and the gouda garlic alfredo pizza. We also requested a side of ranch and a side of bbq sauce with the wings. Shortly after, the pizza arrived. It was tasty but not very flavorful. The small size was perfect for 2 people. We finished our pizza, but we were still waiting on the wings (which they are supposed to be an appetizer). Our waitress came in asking how the pizza was and that when we asked her to cancel our wings order. She said that she will go and check on it. Afew mins after, she came back with the check saying that she removed the wings order and also gave us some discount. I didn't appreciate that no explanations were made on why the wings never arrived or if we needed anything else, and we were just handed the check, but whatever. Looking at the check, we noticed that we were charged $7 for the cider while the menu said $4. I didn't care much since the extra discount they gave us was about $2.80, so that made it even. They had also removed the wings and the side of ranch that was ordered with it. After paying, we realized that on top of overpaying for the cider, we were charged for the bbq sauce that we never received and a side of spicy Marinara that we never ordered. I think that was the last straw for me. I believe that it's ok for an honest mistake that can happen every now and then, but not 3 at once.
