Always a great experience at Uri Buri.
This is one of my favorite spots in Israel and I’ve been going there every time I had a chance in the past 15 years.
Their expertise is seafood and I’ve never had a bad dish there. This time I got the tasting menu, which is an untraditional one. It’s not a fixed menu but they give you half size dishes from the menu according to general directions you give them for what you like and what you’d like to avoid. At the end, the cost is just calculated according to the number of dishes you got. If you get the tasting menu be aware that it is usually more focused around the appetizers and cold dishes unless you instruct them otherwise.
My top dishes would be any of the shrimp dishes, the crab meat in coconut milk, and the cookie San jack scallops. However, everything else is also great, they have a lot of options and I recommend you to try the half portion of a few dishes if you come with a small group and want to try multiple things.
For dessert, I recommend a homemade knafe and a few of their home made ice cream flavors.
On top of the food experience, the location is amazing, very close to the water in the old port of Akko (Acre), very historical and beautiful.
