The establishment is very well set-up and the amount of talavera you'll see is inmense, the range is something 2-300 pesos to 2-3000 USD which is crazy in my point of view, but to each their own. We would have enjoyed a tour that they currently only have on weekdays which is a pity as some travellers can't make it M-F. On the other hand it has some very impressive artwork and if it matches your budget they are more than happy to pack them up for you.

Gorgeous showroom to see some beautiful talavera. The pieces here lean much more towards contemporary then traditional. For example, you can find a large plate with a portrait of Frida wearing a Supreme t-shirt and Mickey Mouse ears. Prices are high but this is the #1 or 2 most prestigious talavera producer in the city, so it seems to be worth it. We visited on a Sunday and learned that there are guided tours Monday-Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM in Spanish and English.

Absolutely loved these place. The house itself it’s beautiful and has been carefully preserved. The store offers tradicional Talavera design as well as modern takes from local artists. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. A must visit when visiting Puebla!!

The tour (in Spanish) is very nice. The guide takes the group through every step of the 2+ month-long process of producing Talavera Poblana pottery. We could see artisans in action. It was a memorable experience.

Great tour of the factory. All steps are shown of the manufacturing process. You stand right next to the artisans. Guide speaks Spanish and English. The shop is free and has very high quality Talavera porcelain of all manner and description. Not too far a walk from the Zocalo.

Amazing Puebla custom ceramic business. My wife and I enjoyed the detailed tour. Best tour I've been on in quite a while. I learned a lot about how they make ceramics. Beautiful architecture and storefront too.

Worth a visit just to see the shop and the innovative Talavera designs! The collections will cost you, but the quality is high.

We bought a beautiful Talavera platter at this shop last week; we liked the building and their inventory. However, some display rooms were half lit. We took a picture of two of the platters we liked the best and we picked one. Bought it, they wrapped it very well. Brought it to America, and when we unwrapped it, with plenty of light in the room, we realized that it had a defect of workmanship. It was small, but now noticeable. We got in touch with the lady who sold it to us to let her know the issue we were having; we emailed her the picture we initially took and that defect shows in it, therefore she couldn’t say we caused that defect. She said that she could exchange it at our expense and that we could use it without concern, however it does look like it a chip as it doesn't have any gloss or color. She knew that we were from out of town and that shipping this platter back to Mexico would be expensive. We asked if instead we could get some sort of discount and we haven’t heard from her since. It’s a shame as it is a very old shop with good reputation. But we paid full price for this item and since they’re certified they’re overpriced. Which makes me wonder why, if they’re certified, they sell Talavera with those kinds of defects. I would assume that they adhere to a high level of quality. But not really. So please be careful and check, and double check the items you buy from them with plenty of light as they do not sell cheap.

Yelp
What a great tour. It days weeks to months to make pieces. And they go thru many many hands before they are done. I was more than a little disappointed they didn't have any Dia De Muertos items out. Our Trip Tour Guide talked to someone and we got taken to a room where they had some items hidden under a cloth. Don't really know why they were hidden. But I was allowed to buy the pieces I wanted.

Yelp
Great selection of original Talavera. They have been in the market since the 1800's, remarkable work of art, finely finished and customer service is excellent! Very happy with all of our purchases!

Yelp
I was excited to purchase a beautiful Talavera coffee set from Uriarte as I had envied the one my friend obtained many years ago. While they are undoubtedly one of the best and most beautiful when it comes to Mexican pottery, they could do better with their customer service. I purchased this set on 6/28/16 and asked it be shipped after 7/4 to ensure I was home to receive it. I was told a tracking number would be emailed to me so I contacted them via email first on 7/6 and called them on 7/8 after my email went unanswered. I was incorrectly informed that the shipment had been mailed the previous day 7/7 yet no tracking number was sent to me. I called back on 7/8 to be informed that it had not been sent and would not be sent until the next week. I finally received the shipment on 7/19 minus one extra piece I had purchased for my friend. I emailed them on 7/20 to ask that they please send the piece at their expense or credit me. I was informed on 7/22 via email that it would be shipped and a tracking number would be emailed to me but to date it has not occurred and I sent them another email today. I am tired of dealing with their staff who are either incompetent or just care. I am just going to call my credit card company to deal with one item that was never sent to me.
