The 22 Best Restaurants and Vineyards in İzmir, Turkey | Eater

"At Urla Winery, the biggest producer in the region, founder Can Ortabaş cultivates local wine grapes such as Urla karası (which he blends with nero d’Avola) and beyazkere (a mutation of boğazkere). Don’t miss either of those bottlings, or the brand’s Tempus (merlot, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and petit verdot). While the winery doesn’t have a restaurant, it does hold wine tastings at the vineyard and the 2 Rooms Hotel is on the premises." - Tuba Şatana

Google
We had a great tasting experience here. Good value for the 300 TL that it cost when we went as you get a good description of the wines and get to taste 5 wines. They also provide water, bread sticks, and cheese for palate cleansing in between. Beautiful grounds.

Beautiful setting for a family owned winery. Very nice wine tasting event set up by Regent Cruise. Driving to location in a coach bus was very interesting, but a skilled driver made the trip feel safe. Most of the fellow passengers thought the wines were good but not worthy of ship around the world. Staff were friendly with a nice little tour of the operation.

This winery produces great wines and has a beautiful venue. Wine tour and tasting start every hour until 17:00 for 200 Turkish lira per person.

It is a very beautiful winery, a nice place to take photos. I liked it here and the people working here were very friendly and helpful. However, it is a very basic wine tasting experience and tour, the cellar tour is about 7 minutes with some basic information. The wine tasting was nice but they dont have any food and you cant get a glass of wine to drink on your own. Its a very nice experience overall and beautiful views, but after the wine tasting we went to another winery to have wine and cheese plate.

Very amateur company. Customer service is terrible. Purchased their expensive Suss series for $240 which is supposed be their limited edition high end bottles. We purchased it for our very special customer but we wish we just purchased a $10 Doluca. We were ashamed when giving it to our customer because the wine leaked and even the box was messed up. We contacted them emailed back and forward many times, even talked to one of the board members but he was even worse than regular customer representatives. They tried to ship a replacement to our address in the US but then it got stuck at the customs and was destroyed. Then we asked for refund and they did not agree to give our money back. What a shame, what a waste of money.. Stay away from this company and stay away from their wine. You will regret everything about it.

This estate is one of the best globally. Located in a picturesque valley in Urla, garden shaped as a wine droplet, fancy driveway and the pool over the cellar are all fantastic design elements. Garden is beautiful any time of the year. There also is a hotel here, Two rooms, that only has two rooms 😅 red wines are top notch, particularly Urla Karasi and Nexus are amazing. A must visit in Urla 🍷 tasting is 30 TL per person, cellar tour is free

Yelp
One of the best winery that I have been in Turkey. They have two room hotel, its very private. The rooms are a stair above the main wine tasting section and had very good view of winery. Decorated not in specific style, but still good, nothing particular unless you have very specific taste in inner decoration. WARNING; there is no restaurant in the hotel. You have to cook your own food or bring your butler. That could be an issue if you dont have a butler. Back to wine; its good to great. The winery is located in off-beaten track, you wont have any other means of transportation. Its only by your own car. I am not so sure if its a perfect for families with young kids, cause there is simply nothing for them. Local regulation prevents access to certain part of the building anybody younger than 18. You should consider it.
