The 22 Best Restaurants and Vineyards in İzmir, Turkey | Eater

"Urlice’s Reha and Bilge Öğünlü have grown only four varieties of grapes — cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, and chardonnay — since 1997, all with organic farming principles. Red wines are offered for sale after at least two years in French oak barrels and a minimum of 18 months in the bottle. The cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay are not to be missed, nor are the amazing pizzas at the vineyard restaurant." - Tuba Şatana

Great experience at the most beautiful winery! Very nice people that told us about the history and wine-making proces during a small tour. Really fine restaurant beside of the vineyard with beautiful view! Absolutely recommending to go here.

Great red and white wine selection with inside & outdoor patio terrace dining. Mainly pizzas, salads and charcuterie plates. The Mushroom pizza is large and very tasty. Note: wine tasting ends at 2pm at the moment (April).

Had an amazing pizza and a great wine in this lovely restaurant on the side of a huge wine field. Highly recommended!

Nice wineyard, serving their own wine. They had only one white option when we were there. Very lovely inside area with a fireplace, so would be a cosy one to visit in the winter. 4 stars bcs the charcuterie board was not the best yet I didn't taste any other food.

I came all the way from America to visit this vineyard, and unfortunately, this turned out to be the only bad experience of my trip. My friend had her 3-month-old baby with us, peacefully sleeping in the stroller, but we were told the baby couldn’t be inside. I would understand if this rule was applied consistently, but it clearly wasn’t. They allowed 10-year-olds to play inside, yet didn’t allow a sleeping infant who obviously wasn’t going to drink wine or disturb anyone. Do they really think we’d let a 3-month-old “drink” wine — a baby who can’t even move without help? What made it worse is that the rule seemed selective — either applied only to people who didn’t pay extra, or inconsistently enforced by staff. It left us feeling unwelcome, which is a shame because the place itself was beautiful. We ended up going to another vineyard afterwards, and they welcomed us warmly, baby and all. That showed us this wasn’t a universal rule — just poor judgment at this particular place.

Very nice location. Best Pizza in Turkey, suprisingly very good wine! Please taste it!! One star more if you do not close at 10 p.m.

This winery was the 4th of the 4 that we visited on our trip along the Urla Wine Road in December 2023. It is very original, it gives off a bit of antiquity and a cozy country house, with a separate tasting room, a restaurant hall and a veranda on the street. It is one of the oldest wineries in the region. The tasting is paid, you can try 3 or 4 different wines of the winery for 150 or 200 liras, respectively. Rose liked it and we bought a couple of bottles home with us. Separately, it is worth noting the restaurant, which makes awesome pizza and salad with burrata, the portions are huge, and the quality of the dishes is close to the original Italy. Delicious, juicy, creamy.

This place, the first vinyard in the area, was good earlier. Last time I was here was 5 years ago. It has not changed a bit. Seems like they do not have any concerns about changing themselves in the face of multiplying numbers of vinyards. Same menu, same wines. Not as crowded any longer. I can understand why. Mediocre quality of food and wine - compared to the newcomer vinyards in the area. When we made a reservation, they told us they would call us a cab on the way back home - no problem. We had to wait for a cab for almost an hour and they did not even think of apologizing or offering us a gratis drink - or even water.
