The Angry Beaver, Seattle’s First Hockey Bar, May Have Closed Permanently | Eater Seattle

"One of the region’s hottest coffee roasters, Olympia is getting its first downtown Seattle location as part of the Cedar Hall "retail experience" at the U.S. Bank Center on Fifth Avenue, with plans to come online sometime in mid-2024 (no exact opening date announced)." - Harry Cheadle

My husband and I entered the lobby on early afternoon of 1/22. There was one occupied window open. One closed window with the teller on the phone. Not one body behind several new accounts desks. After 20 minutes a gal appears from upstairs and sits at a closed teller window, (remaining closed), for about 10 minutes. Not once did anyone acknowledge the customers in the waiting lobby which now had 5 people in line, saying “someone will be with you shortly, etc.” not even a smile or a glance. When the gal from upstairs finally opened her window, we told her we’d like to open a new account. She said no one was available and we could come back tomorrow by appt. I asked her who we’d be seeing and she said “me”. I said, but you’re here now, with which she replied, “ but I can’t leave the window because we are too busy”. Well US bank…this is pretty sad. There just isn’t customer service at this branch location, downtown Olympia anymore. It’s as cold as ice in your branch. I miss my old Stayton Oregon branch. Hopefully someone will take my feelings seriously and make some improvements. The customers should always be greeted & acknowledged. —Cindy - Retired bank corporate Trainer

Never been to a bank that's too busy to transfer assets from a competitor to their bank or won't deal with anything below 220,000. Do yourself a favor go to the Chase downtown, and see Michael Rutherford. A gentleman, and a great financial consultant.

I've been with US Bank for 28yrs and until today, I've had no complaints with US Bank. Without warning, or consultation, they closed my high limit credit card account, apparently for lack of use. I have an excellent credit score. Closing the account took away my free checking. I'm leaving US Bank and going to WSECU.

After using us bank as my bank for over 30 years, I am leaving and taking my buisness else where. I was given a 50$ parking ticket by a private parking enforcement in the US bank parking lot, at my own bank. The parking attendant flipped me off used vulgar language and when I reported this to the usbank branch they told me they didn't hire him personally and to have a nice day. Massive unprofessional behavior. You have lost a long term customer.

I was given a $50 parking ticket for running to grab a food order across the street after using the ATM. When contacting the branch for assistance, Adam was extremely rude and basically sad nothing could be done. I have closed all my accounts with this bank and will be banking with BECU moving forward. Avoid this bank at ALL costs, they don't care about you, just how much money they can bilk from you.

Worst bank ever. Charges you to cash there own checks. And not even that but 7. Makes me feel as though they aren't making enough holding on to others money. Location sucks and the teller just looked bank at her manager. I think it sums up a bank that will slowly go out of business. So don't let them hold on to your money just imagine the fees they hide to have an account.

There was a problem with a house title that did not get processed properly. I tried for months with corporate and the Lacey branch with no help, many voicemails and calla never returned, and general lack of care or effort. Finally, I tried the same thing at this branch and the assistant manager listened with empathy, followed up, and went to bat for me with corporate and got it done. This was a huge relief and I really appreciate the efforts of the staff at this branch.

Yelp
If there was an option for negative stars that would be my review, roughly speaking -5 stars. DO NOT USE US BANK! This is in reflection of US Bank as a whole and the Olympia branch. I was the victim of bank fraud one year ago, in which I lost nearly $15,000. After 2 months of hours long phone calls twice a week or more often, multiple trips into Olympia (45 minute drive for me), paying to send affidavits to the US Bank Corp Fraud Dept, absolutely no resolution. I did not so much as receive a penny in compensation. That is absolutely no protection. Nothing. The teller in Olympia said she knew of the fraud I was a victim of, and that only trained professionals could detect the difference. I asked why I had not ever received an email alerting me to this danger... no response from her or corporate headquarters. So like a soft headed dummy (that is what one needs to be in order to trust this company) I reopened new accounts. I had very little cash left, opened a savings account. No one disclosed the detail that the savings account had a minimum balance of $10,000... I opened it with a $100. So after 9 months and $10/month maintenance fees I have less than I started with... How is that saving? Just got of the phone with a very nice, but ineffective US Bank employee. "I am sorry sir but we can't refund your money" So she is going to "escalate it". I've been down this time wasting road before! If you have a US Bank account close it and go somewhere else, anywhere else. They only want your money, and have no sense of personal responsibility, or accountability. Get out while you have some money left!

Yelp
Stunningly incompetent. Our loan officer was obviously inexperienced but we thought a simple matter of buying out a car lease would be easy. Not an opportunity was lost to make mistakes and overlook necessary signatures or information. Months later and we are still straightening out the mess.

Yelp
We moved to Olympia in 2015 and started looking for a local bank as there are no Citibank branches which was my main bank. I was happily surprised by the service at US Bank and their reputation as an ethical bank. We now use it as our main bank, have our house mortgage with them at a very competitive price, IRA accounts and a few credit cards. Staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable, wait times are short and if you make an appointment, the agent will be waiting for you. Regarding the bank as a whole, not the branch, interest rates could be better.

Yelp
Closing locations and ATMs, so it's no longer a convenient choice for me. Add to it that they "redesigned" their website for online banking so it's an inefficient, cutesy blast of ads instead of a professional business resource, and I'll be changing banks soon. Some idiot seems to have confused banking with social media. "You're all caught up!" isn't something that belongs anywhere but FaceBook. And animated, swooping announcements that obscure useful data shouldn't be something you have to wade through every time you need to access your account. Some rude woman who seems to be the manager (?) in the downtown Olympia branch where you now have no option but to go, too. They must be doing poorly to be closing down so much...and that was PRE-pandemic, too.

Yelp
Please do not choose this bank or branch. If I could give it zero stars I would. I went to the branch bank to set up an additional account for our HOA. I was then unable to sign in to mobile banking. This meant I was unable to deposit checks into our account. The mobile app keeps telling me I am locked out. When I call for help they keep telling me I have a business and a personal account. I have never and will never have a personal account with US Bank after this incident. Customer service says my login is under review. It is nothing they can do until Sunday and I have to make another call because it is up to me to get a manual override so I can log on to the account. The customer service person said the problem was the way the person who set up the account coded my account. Rarely have I seen such incompetence. If it was my personal account I would be in the bank today withdrawing my money.

Yelp
US Bank has lost my payment for my May 2017 mortgage. I talked to someone at the branch and they couldn't help me. What do I do now?
