Google
10/10 for the food; I’m a Thai connoisseur and this place was where I believe I originally fell in love with Thai food. Even the medium is pretty spicy! The dining room is loud so if you have sound sensory issues, order your food to go or try for outdoor seating. The chairs scooting on the hard floor is ear piercing.

Google
Our first visit to this very popular spot located in Edgewater. Area is very trendy with lots of outdoor seating. We ordered the pork egg rolls, which were so freaking good! Also tried the drunken noddles with chicken, pad soy, and Thai fried rice, all with medium spice. Spice level was pretty dang hot but not enough to ruin dinner. One of our guests had HOT spice and it kicked hard. Food was fresh and very tasty. I am not a Thai expert so it was hard to give 5 stars but probably could have been 5. I also prefer to enjoy wine while eating a nice dinner and they do not serve alcohol or allow BYOB. Expect a long wait for food to be served.

Google
Really nice atmosphere, I thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai I got. I did thai Hot with meat combo. I also ordered the wantans as well. They are some of the best i've ever had. Would highly recommend it for an authentic Thai food experience.

Travis

Google
Hands down the best Thai spot in Denver. Not only is it the only place that when I order Thai hot, I actually get Thai hot that makes me sweat, but they are consistent in flavor. Great price point, great flavor, great service, and great consistency. Can't ask for more.

Google
I gave this place a few chances and it honestly sucks. I ordered lad nah and received a soupy container of broken noodles for $15. The service is terrible, they blamed me for ordering tofu and said they always make it this way. I guess they just make crappy food at a bad value. Cheap business owners that dont take pride in their food. Would not recommend. It’s soooo overhyped and gone downhill when new owners took over post covid.

Google
WOW! Some of the best thai food I've ever had in Denver. Great spice levels, great flavor, nicely cooked chicken. Egg rolls were perfectly crisp and super yummy. Loved our meal and affordable price!

Google
**Amazing Thai Cafe is a hidden gem!** While outdoor seating requires guests to place their orders inside—an admittedly minor inconvenience—the overall experience is exceptional. The service is attentive and consistently five-star, with water glasses kept full, tables immaculate, and fresh silverware provided if needed for every dish. Each plate surpassed the last in flavor and presentation, showcasing impressively fresh ingredients and authentic Thai culinary craftsmanship. It’s rare to find a Thai restaurant in the area that delivers both quality and atmosphere with such consistency.

Google
In short, this is the best Thai food in the Denver area and at an unbeatable price. From appetizers to curries to noodle dishes, everything is top notch, and they certainly bring the heat. Mild plus is recommended to start -- put your pride aside and come back for medium or hot if the dishes are not spicy enough for you (some "medium" dishes are probably spicier than you would get at other restaurants -- a medium papaya salad nearly killed me in a good way). Minimal decor and amenities for the in person dining experience are offset by incredibly fast service (expect long lines on weekends, they are super popular!) and authentic, delicious food.

Yelp
It's been a moment since I've been to US Thai but was in the area and ordered take out with a friend. I know the spicy levels are high so I went with the mild + drunken noodles. First comment was the portion was small in my opinion. For $15 which is on the higher side of take out the take out container was maybe half full. The taste itself was great, loved the smoky flavor from the wok. The heat was hot... I like hot/ spicy and could barely eat more than two bites at a time.

Yelp
From the outside, it doesn't look too impressive but it does catch your eye because you can smell it as you walk by. The parking lot nearby is very small so we actually park at Sloans Lake and take a stroll around the park and walk over. We came at 8 pm and we thought we would be done by 9pm. We were very wrong. They are super busy from dine in and takeout. It was nonstop until they closed. It took a while for our food to arrive but we were understanding. The food was amazing. I highly recommend ordering the wings. It has some of the best sauce on a wing you can find. Definitely a favorite of mines. The pad Thai, green curry, and pineapple fried rice all had very strong flavorings that hits your taste buds. We got everything in a medium and there was a kick. If you aren't a familiar with Thai Spice, ask before because it can be crazy hot. Very happy that it's a quick five minute walk from Sloans Lake. Great meal after dragon boat practice!

Yelp
A popular take out spot right near edgewater market! I ordered on the phone around 5:30 pm on a weekday and our order took 25 mins to prepare. The food is very affordable for what you get, portions are generous! Ambiance is more of a takeout spot with some plain indoor seating, but the patio dining is very cute. the flavors of the food were good but a little bit on the simpler side. The spice level was good, I thought a medium would be like classic Thai spice but it was still milder than usual. Would probably get a few things hot next time. We got basil fried rice, panang curry, drunken noodles, garlic tofu. Everything was a solid 3.5-4/5 with the basil fried rice closer to a 3/5.

Yelp
US Thai knows their spice! The pad thai was generally great, but I had to deduct a star because although the spice level (I got Medium) was great, there wasn't much other flavor. I expect at a Medium that the dish is balanced with the other sweet/salty/sour flavors. Other than that, the proportion of noodle+meat+veggies was good and the chicken and noodles were cooked right. We had our order to-go and I had a longer journey home and it was still delectable when I finally got to it. I will definitely still be back to try their other dishes.
google avatar

Joanne T.

Yelp
This is a great and affordable Thai restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There was only one server working, so service may be slow at times. The dining room was cold and drafty, so keep that in mind when dining in.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
10/10 thai food! They have great service, good prices, and hefty portions! We typically order three entrees for two people so we can each get a noodle dish with our preferred protein and share a curry. I have loved everything we have tried so far! I have not dined in yet so I am not sure what the ambiance is like but it's convenient for takeout.
google avatar

Yelp
5/5: we really enjoyed our meal at US Thai Cafe! There are two seating areas with a central kitchen splitting them. Our waitress was friendly and prompt although she was busy. The pad see ew with beef was very good and portion size was perfect. Penang curry with also a delicious dish with quite a kick (we got the mild + spice level). Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Alexis Y.

Yelp
A small little restaurant but super busy for dine in and take out! A friend recommended this restaurant and I'll definitely be back. For starters, the prices of the dishes are so affordable for 2024. I don't have to spend $20 a dish like other Thai restaurants. The plates are decent sized but a little on the smaller size but definitely worth it for $11.25. We got pad see ew and pad Thai. The noodles were cooked to the right consistency. The pad Thai wasn't overly sweet. If you like soup and sour tasting flavors, the Tom yum soup was so perfect. We sat in the back room where it was pretty toasty and stuffy. So if you have any nice places to be later, make sure you have a different pair of clothes or jacket because you're going to smell like noodles.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered green curry with chicken and pad see ew with tofu to go and was impressed with US Thai Cafe! The prices were reasonable, and while the portions weren't huge for the price, I still feel like the food was a good value. I'm generally tough on Thai food, but I really loved the flavor of both dishes. I usually go with a spice level around a 3 or 4 out of 5, but based on other reviews, I went with mild+ here. And I'm glad I did, because even mild+ had quite a kick!

Yelp
This place rocks. Affordable, delicious, piping hot Thai food. They are always on point, and as a result to their popularity and process - the wait can be upwards of 30/45 minutes for Togo orders. Worth it for sure! Like Chik Fil A they are closed on Sundays. Ps - they make it spicy
google avatar

Felix M.

Yelp
Unassuming place but incredibly good and great service. Loved the green curry and pad Thai. Super attentive service and quick delivery.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this spot!! We get this literally once a week! We rotate the crab rangoons, basil fried rice, pad see ew, panang curry and the pad Thai!! I think it's probably the best Thai in Denver! They recently renovated the inside so there's room to sit down but we always order for pickup! They're usually pretty speedy but this place does get pretty poppin on the weekends so keep that in mind!
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
THE BEST THAI IN DENVER! We get the pad see ew twice per week with the crab Rangoons. I'm a wimp for spice so usually go mild plus and it's still pretty heated. Will continue to come here every week.0
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
One of our favorites, hands down. Usually pretty quick service and the food is always delicious. I can't say their spice level is overly consistent, but it's tasty nonetheless. We usually gravitate towards their pad thai and Panang curry. And make sure you don't skip out on the crab ragoons! Be aware, seating is limited but because they move quickly the wait usually isn't too long.
google avatar

Jordan U.

Yelp
Oh my godddd this place is so amazing!! The service is SO quick, as in my food has never taken longer than 10 minutes to hit my table! It is also incredibly affordable which is very rare for Thai food in Colorado. And for the price it is absolutely delicious. We got the pork dumplings, Thai tea, pad Thai and mango sticky rice and they were all to die for. Not to mention that we ordered all of our food at 8:40 and it is now 9:00 and we've finished all of it. Definitely worth the try if you're in the Edgewater neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I got takeout from here and shared: - Pad See Ew - Pineapple Curry - Mango Sticky Rice It was all fantastic. I think the Pineapple Curry was my favorite, but you can't go wrong. It was so flavorful. I ordered mild+ which had quite a bit of heat--they don't mess around with heat, so don't order based on typical American spice levels. Their portion sizes are big too. I was stuffed after finishing it all.

Yelp
Truly the best Thai you'll have in Denver... as long as you do not call in order. Placed order at 7:10 Saturday and they said 35-40 mins( intentionally showed up late because previous order took 20mins after arriving) Upon arrival young host said few minutes, waited 5 and she said it'd be another 10 minutes with a fake young privileged "Sorry" Requested money back and they didn't seem to care. Point being... walk in and order

Chad J.

Yelp
Used to be one of my absolute favorite spots in Denver area. The food is still unbelievable. But, unfortunately, they've fallen prey to not being able to get food out in a timely way. Showed up last night for dine-in around 6pm. Was seated almost immediately. Ordered quickly. Food was not ready until 7:45pm. While sitting, I counted over 30 carry-out orders being picked up. They're obviously doing gang-buster business because the food is so good, but, would suggest they switch it up. Expand their kitchen area and add a couple kitchen staff. Turn to a deli style ordering. Maybe get a liquor license as 2 hours doesn't seem as long a wait with a beer in hand.

Yelp
A little perplexed by all the positive reviews of this place. Had a wonderful date night here, but maybe customer service was off that day. We were immediately seated with a rude undertone. Not that anyone is obligated to fake liking their job, but I didn't see one smile across the host or kitchen staff the entire time we were there. My date and I shared Egg Rolls, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Curry. Food was good. I'd potentially come back to experience the spice level other Yelpers keep talking about. Instead of sticking around for dessert because they didn't have mango sticky rice or alcoholic beverages, we went down the street to Joyride. Overall not super interested in coming back again.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect! The garlic special was amazing and I had to have a Thai iced tea.
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
I've only gotten takeout from here and the food is amazing! The online ordering can be a little overwhelming - I appreciate the many options they make available though so you can truly customize your meal.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Still thinking about the food I had last night at US Thai Cafe. The beef pad see ew was so flavorful, and I loved the appetizer combo (not pictured because it was quickly devoured). I'm excited to return to try more menu items!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Service was not up to standards. The waitress walked passed us multiple times despite us making an effort to flag her down. The food is definitely not worth it because it lacks flavor. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and it was very watery and the ratio of milk to tea was off. Lastly, I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with chicken and after my meal I had extremely bad cramps. Please do not go here and take your business somewhere else.

Renn V.

Yelp
Overpriced for basic Thai. My friend got a stomach ache eating their fried rice. Another friend got charged extra for eggplant and they only gave them a few pieces. Will not return
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Great food!! We first ate here when the sign advertised it as Thai food, but the chef had not made it to the US. It was scrambled eggs and pancakes. But after that one lunch, we were hooked. Price and quality can not be better. We will be back again and again.

Jesse A.

Yelp
Used to be good bang-for-the-buck, but they recently hiked the prices drastically. On April 16th, I got my pad thai takeout for $12.21 after tax, the price it's been for the last three years. Yesterday, on May 3rd, the same dish was $16.26 when I got takeout. I grabbed one of the menus to confirm the new price is indeed $14.99 pre-tax now. Quantity and quality did not go up with this increase, however.
google avatar

Ayla B.

Yelp
Best crab rangoons I've found in town! They're little pockets of heaven! The Tom Kha soup was delicious, hot, and fragrant! I will definitely be ordering it again! The Massaman Curry is also absolutely delicious! We ordered it without the peanuts, because they don't roast their peanuts. We definitely prefer a roast! But, all around a delicious, hot meal! The service isn't spot on, but the food is! Make sure to order your spice level when ordering your food, because they don't ask you what you prefer! Without ordering what spice level you want, it will come mild... which is also tasty!
google avatar

Evan N.

Yelp
First Thai experience since moving to Denver! The price cannot be beat - super affordable and has me wanting to try things I've never had. The quality, however, can definitely be beat. I had the Pad Kapow it was, well...not Pad Kapow. Typically served with minced vegetables, a flavorful sauce, tons of basil, and ground chicken - this had none of that. It was basically pad thai over rice instead of noodles. I also got the AP Combo which was just ok. The crab wontons were solid, but the pork dumplings left a bit to be desired.

Yelp
Today was my second visit to US Thai. On my first visit I had green curry and while it was good, I didn't rush home to write a review. Today I had the Drunken Noodles with beef, medium + and it was outstanding. Not really as hot as I expected so I will probably go for hot next time. Their prices are very reasonable by today's standards and the service was great. I sat outside on the patio in the shade on a beautiful September day, a great relaxing environment. I can't wait to return and sample more of the menu.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
I tried US Thai today for the first time. It was great. You don't go there for the atmosphere, that's for sure, but the service and food were great!! I had the Pad Thai with chicken, my husband had the garlic delight, and a friend had the lemongrass soup. We all loved what we had. You can order different spice levels. I went with mild plus. I like spice, but it was a bit hot for my taste. I'd go with mild next time. My husband went with mild plus, and his wasn't as spicy as mine. He'd go with medium next time. I think the spice level may vary within the level, maybe based on the dish, which makes it difficult to know what to recommend.

John G.

Yelp
Great food with great prices. Have been hear about 6 times now and love it every time. Always my weekend go to.
google avatar

Bradley W.

Yelp
The food is great, with reasonable prices and a no frills dining room. I love the Pad Se Ew with beef.

David P.

Yelp
Best local Thai food in Denver area. I love this place! I really like the pad seiw; which I think I spelled wrong, oops. Anyways, a great wide noodle dish with soy sauce base, egg, Chinese broccoli and choice of meat. I got the chicken, but the beef and shrimp are both good as well. I also like their pork egg rolls, a solid appetizer. The pad Thai is also very good. Btw, the prices are fair, very refreshing.
google avatar

Aubrey Z.

Yelp
Wow to the food is all we can say! My parents have never had Thai food, but I'm glad their first time was here. The food was amazing, and Mild+ was just the amount of spice to put us in the edge without going too far. However, the service was a little slow for a Thursday night, having to wait about 30-40 min for our food to come out. Overall though, the food made up for the slow service.
google avatar

Csthy J.

Yelp
The food, while requested to be medium heat was not edible!! I grew up in San Diego and enjoy hot food but this was ridiculous! but my chickens did enjoy it but rather expensive chicken food

Kate S.

Yelp
I'll start by saying we love us thai food. It's our go to place and has the best Thai food we've found. The first time we tried this place we were seated and the waitress didn't greet us for 30 minutes although she had walked by at least a half dozen times. Despite this, the food was great. After this, we decided that takeout is probably the best approach. 80% of the time our food is ready to go at our pickup time. On a few occasions, including today, when we arrived, the restaurant is an absolute nightmare. At least 10 other people waiting for their orders, no employee even is willing to stop and check in with us. Another customer we spoke to, her order was more than a half hour over due. As I'm writing this, we're still waiting for our food. Despite their food being excellent, their inconsistent timing, lack of customer service, and zero acknowledgement when they keep patrons waiting, has negatively impacted our opinion of this establishment.

Abby L.

Yelp
This is the Thai spot in all of Denver. The first place I went to, and I always come back to get my fix!
google avatar

Erica V.

Yelp
pad thai slamming. haven't. been in since the new ownership. quite awhile. glad to return and see it's just as good as i remember if not better. been coming here for years and glad to return.

Yelp
This place has been reliably delicious for all the 13 years I've lived in Denver. Solid.

Yelp
What can I say I finally been defeated. Never once in my life have I had to throw away my food and go buy another dish because it was extremely hot. Let me tell you right now if you're not used to eating spicy food you better go with mild close or medium plus because anything above that is extremely hot. You have been warned. I should've took the warning from the other guys picture. Hot was absolutely too hot to eat! I gave it to a homeless man but I did ask him if he like hot food and he said yes so hopefully it worked out great. Because the hot here did not work out great for me. After I ordered the mild plus drunken noodles I have to say it was edible and very good actually. The flavor was absolutely amazing and tasted great. I will also have to admit though mild plus was hotter than most Thai hot at other restaurants. I don't know what type of scale these people use for the heat rating but it's hotter than I've ever had. I've eaten Thai food and 28 states in the United States twice outside the country and I've never had Thai food is hot. Once again you've been warned unless you're feeling very daring I would not try the hot. I think a mile plus is the way to go. The people working here are very nice and friendly. They even warned me but I didn't take any consideration the warning. They took very good care of us. I will admit I'm not a fan of to go only I really wish we could've sat down and eat. I will definitely go back to this restaurant when I'm in Denver. If you're in the Denver area and you want to eat some really Thai hot type food this is the place to go.

Chuck A.

Yelp
Visiting my son, his lovely wife and our precious new granddaughter he recommended this place which is within walking distance of their home. Without question a 5+***** rating !! Everything from the Tom Yam soup, Plneapple Curry,,Pad Eggplant and more were outstanding. And to top it off a lovely staff!!

Scott A.

Yelp
Great dive place with amazing food in a really hip/cool part of Denver. All three of us raved how great the food was. I think they were understaffed that day, so we had to flag down our waiter to get more water and the check. Regardless, we're all going back!

C C.

Yelp
Consider yourself warned-- if you order the Tom Kha soup you most likely are going to injure your mouth. They do not strain out the inedible parts (galangal, lime leaves and sharp pieces of lemongrass) which I feel is unacceptable for a $10 bowl of soup. You can do better with another Thai restaurant.
google avatar

Brandon F.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food in Denver but they don't mess around with spice!! We have come here on 2 separate occasions for good Thai food. We typically walk in and don't have any issues with finding a table. I don't believe they take reservations but they are constantly spitting our Togo orders. The wait staff seat you quickly, provide water, and take your order very promptly. They don't have a ton of seating, but it has never been an issue even during peak dinner hour. We ordered our favorite Thai dishes: thai fried rice, Penang curry, and pad see ew which all did not disappoint. DISCLAIMER ON THE SPICE: We can handle spice but the Medium was too spicy for us. There are 5 levels of spice: mild, mild+, med, hot, thai hot. Medium was almost unbearable for us, so we typically get mild and mild+ but many of you night be able to take the heat!
google avatar

Alex J.

Yelp
If someone told me that one of the best thai places would be in Denver, I wouldn't believe them...UNTIL NOW! What a hidden gem this place is. Located near Sloan's Lake, US Thai is serving up some delicious (and spicy) thai food for all to enjoy. During our mid-May Denver vacation, we ordered pad kee mao and pad kapao (takeout, both mild spicy) right before the dinnertime rush. Our order took about 20 minutes to make and the front of house staff was kind and courteous throughout our experience. We took our meal home and the smells throughout the car was making it hard to not pullover to eat! We finally dug into our food and boy was it good. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavors were punchy and spot on! The only issue I had was being a bit too ambitious and ordering mild. They take spice SERIOUSLY here...so choose your spice level accordingly. A mild left me panting from the heat (haha). Definitely on the list to come back!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Super spicy! But oh so good. I was excited to try this place after reading all the Yelp reviews. Do note that they close on Mondays, so we had to rearrange some things. I sadly didn't listen to all the reviews praising the spice level here. I figured that was only for the hotter levels, so I opted for the Mild+ thinking surely I could handle that. Oh man I was wrong... We placed our order in person. I got the pad kee mao at Mild+ spice. The area is really nice so we just walked around the surrounding streets. There's a huge park with a lake nearby while you wait. The order took about 30 minutes, then we drove home. The pad kee mao was filled with thick pieces of noodle, and lots of spices. I immediately regretted my decision. It was really flavorful, but the spice made eating very prolonged as I had to keep taking breaks. Found street parking right in front of the restaurant on a Monday evening. I'd definitely come back and get Mild next time.

Yelp
I love lots of veggies in Thai food and picked a menu item that offered bell, pepper, broccoli, green bean, baby corn, and carrot AND I paid for extra veggies - there were maybe a total of two small very limp broccoli stems in this dish - people seem to like this place for their use of spice but if you like veggies this is not the place for you

Yelp
Good food good price the restaurant a bit small can fit about 9 tables and should be loud when got full house Service is okay not bad

Yelp
The US Thai we've all come to love is no more...?? I've been eating US Thai for years and like other reviewers have noted, they are likely under new ownership after going on a hiatus for over a month in early 2022. While they were closed for over a month, I checked Google and Yelp religiously hoping the temporarily closed icon would disappear so that I could once again savor the amazing Thai food that's served up by the wonderful cooks and the other staff, who knew me by name and smiled and chatted with me every time I came in. After checking today to see that it reopened, I went to yelp immediately and was concerned when I saw another reviewer note that none of the old staff was working, including the cooks. I was terrified and had to investigate myself. So I called in my order: the usual pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles, and the woman on the other line said the food would be ready in 5 mins, which is way too fast compared to what US Thai normally can do. I picked up my food in about 20 minutes since I had to drive there, I was greeted by completely new and different people. The US Thai sign out front was removed so not sure what's happening there, but I was even more nervous not recognizing anybody inside. Food wise... while the physical takeout container is the same, the portions are less. Loyal fans will know that US Thai packs their containers to the top. This one was nowhere close to being filled. Also, I ordered Mild + because while I love eating spicy food, I'm not trying to die and folks who have been coming here no that they don't mess around with their heat. Today's Mild + was more like Mild - because it was not spicy at all and there were no chilis in the food. The drunken noodles were not the same and tasted like it was a new recipe. The pineapple fried rice was on the drier side and I could taste that it was also different, which is a huge bummer. The new food isn't bad, but it's not special like it used to be. Not sure if this is a permanent change but I want the old US Thai back I'll give them one more shot, but I think I might have to move on and mourn the loss of an institution here in Denver.
