Ushio Sushi

So glad I found this place. We ordered the kimchi fried rice which came with thinly sliced rib eye 👌🏻 Spicy Tuna Yuki, so fresh and had a great flavor, Seaweed salad and a spicy salmon roll I wish they had more sushi options that did not have tempura. But other than that, so great! I can’t wait to try the spicy kimchi seafood soup next. The place was spotless and our server was lovely and perfect with timing. And they serve complimentary cotton candy. So fun. Love 💕

This place is a hidden gem. If we are in the area, we definitely visit it. The sushi is consistently delicious. I love that they use a thin layer of rice and a lot of fish. The grilled octopus is among the best in South Florida. We have never had a bad meal. On the contrary, every meal has been wonderful.

The nova roll (bottom) and the Diablo roll (top). Both fantastic; the asparagus in the nova roll has me seeing stars, not kidding. The Diablo roll came out toasty warm and creamy it’ll make your mouth water when it’s coming toward your face lol! Also pictured the grilled octopus- grilled to perfection, supple and delicious. Also grabbed the pretty in pink (not pictured) and tbh the first couple of sips made my head spin but then it sweetened up and settled.

Everything about this place is amazing !! The food is outstanding! Nick the manager has done an amazing job at revamping this place. He’s passionate about his position and it shows in every aspect. Every server i’ve had there has been attentive and polite ! I love trying their specials they come up with and EVERY ROLL i have tried has blown my mind. By far the favorite sushi place in the area. Don’t miss out !

The food was pretty good!! The deep-fried sushi was amazing and our server Wanessa, and Anna provided amazing service! The cotton candy at the end really makes the experience even better.

I had a great experience at Ushio Sushi! I ordered the Rock ‘n’ Roll, hibachi fried rice with chicken and pork, and krab rangoons — everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The food came out fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was just as good — my server was super attentive and always made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for great sushi and friendly service!

I was in the area and had wanted to grab a wick bite so, I opted for Ushio Suchi, and everything I ordered was spot on. I'd gotten the crab Rangoon appetizer, along with the Snow White special roll, and spicy salmon roll, all were equally delicious. The restaurant was not busy at all when I popped in. There was soft music playing in the back and dim lighting, very calm setting. I went over to the take-out counter and placed my order and was told it would take 15-20min Pricing was a bit on the higher side, it was close to $40 just for the 3 items. However, what I ordered tased wonderful. The rangoons were packed with a very flavorful mixture of crab and different seasonings, it was not just the typical take out style that would just be filled with a cream cheese and bits of imitation crab, this had green onions, some shreds of carrots and lots more, it was my favorite item I ordered. As for 2 rolls: both were great, my more favorite of the two was the Snow White. I would probably dine in next time and try some of their other items, once I do I'll have an updated review.

food was absolutely incredible. extremely fresh fish, and some of the highest quality sushi i have eaten. seriously coming here a lot... wow.

Ushio Sushi provides the best laid back casual atmosphere to enjoy your sushi in peace. It wasn't very packed when we were there. The waiter quickly took our order and the food came out very quickly. I started off with the sashimi which was very fresh. Then I got the Miami Heat roll which was absolutely delicious. It has a habanero masago on top with a kimchee sauce that gives it a very nice kick. I also got the Tonkotsu Soup ramen with spicy chili and it was to die for. I was so full from the sushi but I couldn't stop eating it. The sliced pork belly is thick and so flavorful on its own. The broth is very rich and the spicy chili is perfect. Gives it the bite it needs. At the end of our meal they gave us a complimentary Cotton Candy tower which I thought was a real cute and sweet way to end the night. Highly recommend.

Made it to Ushio for my first visit. It was happy hour so I tried two rolls: JB and fire dragon. Both rolls were fine. It was 20% off all rolls for HH which brought it to a more competitive price. They gave plenty of ginger/gari which was great. I wish there were more specialty rolls with salmon as primary but there was just the one. Also, a regular salmon roll was not on the menu which I found odd since tuna roll was there. I decided to finish my meal with one of my favorites: hotate/scallop. The nigiri is listed as 2pc and sashimi as 3pc. I went sashimi since I was relatively full. It was basically one a scallop cut into thirds. Misleading for sure but I expected something like this. What I did not expect was that the scallop was lightly seared. It gave the scallop like a char aroma. While it wasn't bad, it was not what I wanted. Now I know scallops here are a no go for me. Service was good. It was not very busy when I was there. I would come back for HH and to try some of their cocktails. Not enough value for me otherwise.

Tuesday night dad, daughter, dinner. They don't happen as often as theybused to, this is her favorite local sushi spot. Good taste must run in the fam! Local vibes in all the good ways. We're always greeted with a friendly face, and you never notice a difference in service between all of the staff that assists during our meals. Like most visits, I opt for my own nigiri and hand roll selections, based on my mood and cravings. This time, it was salmon & ikura nigiri, eel/cucumber/avocado & salmon skin handrails, scallop sashimi, with a miso soup starter. My daughter had a jb roll, tuna yuke, and a miso soup as well. The tuna yuke has their own sauce and unique spin we both enjoy. Nothing fancy about any of the items, which is exactly what we look for from our local sushi go to. Knowing what to expect and delivering consistency from a sushi/sashimi spot is important. Sometimes you want comfort food instead of fusion or suprise creations. That's what you'll get here. Although they do offer many unique rolls and Japanese cuisine creations of that's your flavor when you visit. The scallop was perfectly fresh, salmon skin crispy, along with the nori cones on both handrolls. The ikura nigiri was sweet and salty, cured perfectly, without a touch of soy needed. I washed it all down with a couple of Kirin Lights, served in an icy cold mug. Everything executed the same way it was every prior visit. If you're not from the area, check it out, if you are, maybe give it a shot to be one of your regular sushi spots.

Best ramen and Pad Thai in town! This place was recommended by my family and boy it was great! I'm a huge fan of pad Thai and this one I had here was delicious. Perfect lil cooked, flavor was on point and it had a lot of chicken. Just writing about this is making my mouth water. The ramen was even better, broth was so flavorful and the pork belly was delicious. The waitress was super nice and the owner came by to see how everything was. They even provided our table with cotton candy after the bill as a dessert. Everything was delicious and it exceeded our expectations when it comes with ramen and sushi. We also did order sushi rolls which was good too but our favorite was the ramen and pad Thai hands down.

We have lost count of how many times we've come to have sushi here. One of the best sushi spots we have discovered so far. Especially if you are a fan of sashimi and Nigiri. The fish is always very fresh! The cuts are decently sized, and the price for the platter is unbeatable (60$). They rotate the fish often so you get to try different variety. The place is cozy. And the service is always on point and pretty fast. We've been attended by every server there in are always very happy with our service. Must try!

Probably one of the freshest fish on the Broward area! I love the king salmon and yellowtail. Recently ordered a combo which came with a fish I haven't previously tried- Wahoo, which I didn't love. The hamachi Kama also soo good. I prefer it with the ponzu sauce instead of the teriyaki - like sauce that it's served with. But otherwise have only had good experiences here.

We went on a Friday night around 7. The aesthetic is simple , the establishment has photos around the restaurant and elevator like music in the background . It was pretty empty when we arrived. As a result the service was very attentive due to not being busy. They immediately served us water and the condiments for sushi. My date and I both ordered the Yuzu drop. It was good but surprisingly thick which is because of the cloudy saki. I personal was not a huge fan. I wouldn't get it again. Nothing against the drink, just not my particular preference for a drink. I would have gotten the lycheetini but they said they did not have it that particular day. We got the jalapeño hamachi and mix tempura for apps. They were good but they were also very simple dishes to begin with. The mix tempura only had two small pieces of shrimp. I felt they could have given either bigger pieces or at least one more. For sushi we did the spicy salmon roll and red dragon. The sushi was very bland. For such basic rolls, I would have expected more flavor and just an overall fresher taste. Although the rice ratio was good, there was more fish to rice ratio, the overall quality was average. I would not go to this place again and probably wouldn't order takeout either. Just better options in the area. However, for a quick, attentive dinner- it may be a good option for other people.

Favorite sushi spot in plantation! They have the freshest sushi and a huge menu. I've never ordered anything I didn't like.

Lunch Special Poke Bowls where you can choose up to 5 items for your bowl for $12.95 is not only a steal but a fulfilling, light, on-the-healthier side, great idea. Love me a sushi date at Ushio. There's new decor. And OPEN ALL DAY (confirmed this March of 2025). They no longer close for lunch. I'm so glad I tried something new at my favorite local sushi spot.

This will be my new go to sushi spot. I was greeted promptly as I walked in and the service is fast and friendly. I went one night for dinner and was back the next day for lunch. I asked my waitress for a recommendation and she was very knowledgeable. The place can be nice for a date night or just to hang with friends or family. Not suspect fancy but enough to dress up a little bit for. The night I went I ordered the Davie roll and the tonkotsu ramen spicy which were both delicious. So much so that I took a bowl of ramen to go for my mom and the rest of my sushi for my daughter. My daughter loved it so much that she asked to return again the next day for lunch, so we did. They have really nice and affordable lunch specials as well as happy hour specials. The food is also really affordable so we will be back !!!

Vanessa was amazing. She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed while dining at Ushio. The food is always great and the service was top notch tonight because of her.

Came here based on the good reviews and always looking for a new sushi spot. Well let me tell you - this place was amazing. Everything was delicious!! The gyoza was packed with yummy pork. The dragon roll and special dragon were on point. The sushi fresh and delicious. Then to top it off we were offered complimentary cotton candy ..... whaaat. Yes please We will be back for sure

Nice little sushi spot across from tower shops. We also got a JB roll and a fire dragon which was so gooood. The salmon was so fresh. Overall food was really good and the vibe was really nice. Will definitely go back!

The food was delicious! We ordered the crispy tuna tacos and oh my it was great. They put plenty of tuna. We also ordered the tempura and I have to say the breading on the tempura was different from the traditional tempura. This breading made the tempura nice and crunchy. We ordered the Godzilla Roll, spicy tuna roll and the hibachi fries rice. All of it was amazing. We will be back.

Really great sushi restaurant, tucked away in a shopping center in Davie!! I tried the Chef's Special Omakase- with caviar added into it ($70 total). I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fish of each piece of nigiri. I did not like a couple pieces because they were extremely chewy (not sure if it was because of the type of fish, or because it was not scored properly), but other than that I enjoyed the meal. And you can't beat this price point for omakase! The Thai donuts are clearly just fried Pillsbury donuts, but they are still amazing! Crispy and flaky, with a sweet thick icing to dip them in; highly recommend for dessert!!

A great spot for sushi in Davie! I usually come here for lunch if I plan to stop by Jade Tea House which is right next door. I love their lunch specials here and will usually come with a friend or two. For some of their lunch options, they have bento boxes, sashimi lunch combo, poke bowls and more. I have tried a variety of the choices and have never been disappointed! The inside is spacious and clean. There are a good amount of booths and it's never been overly crowded when I've visited. The service is super friendly and very fast. I usually can do lunch here within in hour, which is record time! A great biz to visit if you're craving sushi or some Japanese classic dishes for lunch.

Deliciously fresh, def get the sushi and sashimi. If they are offering the omakase, please go for it. Amazing fresh fish picks that's brought in daily, the staff is pretty fun and amazing and they're able to accommodate large parties. I ordered the sashimi omakase and it did not disappoint. My eyes rolled back everytime I took a bite. Price is not that bad either. It is soo good that you will keep ordering different sushi rolls and hand rolls. Ambiance was very nice, since they renovated, they got rid of the conveyor belts and the place looks more updated but still cozy

Haven't had this place in a while, has something changed? I used to always get the fire dragon and spicy tuna and this time they just weren't very good. Both were super bland, the spicy tuna wasn't mixed all the way and was seemingly not mixed with anything to make it spicy at all. Unfortunately disappointed this time.

I usually come here for lunch during the week. They have a pretty good special where you can pick 3 different rolls and you get 4 pieces of each with a soup or salad. Today i got the tuna tacos and fiesta roll. So delicious. Service was prompt. Low key energy. Great local restaurant for sushi. Not too big of a spot. Maybe 5 booths and several tables. Great for post workout sushi. Btw the tuna quality isnt as great an imperial or kub kao. Still good to have in rotation.

They need to update the restaurant information I went to that restaurant because on google and on yelp have pictures of the little plates that goes around and you have to pick, just to find out they don't have that anymore, it was very disappointing

Came here for dinner with a group of friends. The sushi was so fresh and delicious! Service was good. There was a great selection of rolls and cooked food to choose from. My son got the ramen and enjoyed it. The kaarage chicken was delicious. My favorite were the handrolls. They definitely dont skimp on the filling. They were stuffed with fish til the ever end! I would definitely go back just for the handrolls!

We are new to the area and came across this Amazing sushi spot! This is going to be our new go to spot. The staff is super nice, our waitress Vanessa is the best. Don't miss out on the delicious food and amazing prices.

Went here for my grandsons birthday. Everything was great and so fresh. The best chicken fried rice around. The Dragon rolls were the best I've ever had. Can't wait to get back soon. Nick the manager came out with a big arrangement of cotton candy for the table. Big hit with the kids.

I went with a group of friends. The food was absolutely delicious. The sushi was very fresh. From the sashimi to the sushi you couldn't go wrong. Our server Savannah was amazing. Her suggestions were great. I love that wide array of sake from dry to sweet. The place has music playing in the background that just made the place even more enjoyable. I definitely need to come back for the omakase.

Nice simple place for casual dinner or lunch, very affordable. And food is fresh. I like that they use to give you an options of smaller rolls or bigger rolls. Service is mild. Not great not bad.

wow ok so this is now my go-to spot, everytime I'm mixing it up trying new stuff and last night blew my mind, I had the Yaketa roll, with the chef special roll customised by the chef trusting in them they did not disappoint. The best spicy edamame, the spicy crispy tuna, and the best pork bao buns every the people the service the atmosphere is just so good every one always happy and I will be coming back again. Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. They offer lunch specials which is normally a soup of salad and then an entree. The salad is delicious; it a mix or spring greens and lettuce so it's more nutrious and crunchy. Parking is very easy to find. They have have about 14 tables and a sushi bar you can sit at so there's little to no wait for a table. Lighting is a little dim and gives a nice atmosphere. Place is very clean. Service is quick. Highly recommend!

Really nice service here, our server was nice and our food came out fast. The ambiance was quiet. They had a really nice wine selection and a good price point on the wine. As far as rolls go, the best one was the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Fiesta roll was just okay. We ended throwing away the Monster Roll, it was very thick and chewy.

I came here for lunch with a friend who highly recommended it. They have so many lunch specials it's amazing, and they're all under $11. The lunch menu included Sushi hand rolls, poke bowls, Ramen, Etc. My friend and I both went with the ramen bowl which comes with a small poke bowl. I had the pork Ramen and the poke bowI with eel. For the Poke you can choose salmon, tuna, spicy tuna or eel. The lunch also comes with a choice of salad or miso soup. I went with the salad which comes with the most amazing carrot ginger dressing and tons of carrots. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back here. The service was very good.

The service was prompt, polite and pleasant. The sushi was great the rice was fresh and fluffy cooked just right and not smashed together into a paste like some other places. I loved the tiger roll personally. I would only comment about the edamame, I had it recently at a different restaurant and they had significantly larger pods (more than two or even one bean(s) in a pod). It was cooked right and nicely, lightly salted but there were many empty & small pods or more so disappointing not having more to eat out of it.

They have the freshest Sushi in South Florida! Friendly staff and clean restaurant! They also have a full Asian kitchen so if you don't like Sushi you can still enjoy many options.

My husband and I are on vacation and went for lunch. We ordered two appetizers (miso soup and edamame) and they were average! But he ordered the seafood ramen and I ordered the caterpillar sushi and crab salad! OMG!! Everything was SO delicious... even the iced tea was the best I've ever had! 20/10!! We will definitely be back!!

Super fresh fish for decent prices. Their Omakase price is one of the best value for what you get. We came kind of late almost last min to closing yet the fish quality was AMAZING. Usually near closing the quality of alot of restaurants drops significantly but not this place. Everything we ordered came out great without any issue that I could deem negative. Only one of our order did not came out and it was the Inari sushi, but they were about to close and ran out. That was mainly my fault for coming in so late. I would for sure come back earlier next time! 10/10 would recommend. I recommend everyone to try their salmon belly, otoro, hamachi belly & negitoro roll. The most memoriable cuts of fish I had that day.

A few weeks ago my son and I wanted some sushi and my husband wanted Ramen so we found this restaurant on yelp, with some great reviews, and decided to try it. When we arrived, just after they opened, we noticed that all the booths except one were already taken - so Anna, our waitress, sat us down immediately and gave us the menus to peruse. After a quick scan of the menu I got the sushi/sashimi platter for 1, my husband got the pork ramen and my son ordered some nigiri. We ordered miso soup and edamame to curve our appetite while we waited for the mains. I also ordered the tuna hand roll. Everything we ordered was super fresh, tasty and exactly what we would expect from a Japanese restaurant. Anna was super friendly, the restaurant had a great vibe and there was plenty of parking. Definitely will go back. We also ordered hot sake and a Sapporo each.

1/11/22 I went out of my way to come here for the conveyor belt. When I arrived I asked about it and was told they don't have it anymore. Although I felt deceived the staff seemed nice and I'd already driven all the way here so I stayed. I had the seaweed salad (good but small portion for the price) & Miami Heat Roll. Beautiful and delicious (and fairly priced) Overall the food and service was good but I'm disappointed that they don't have the conveyor belt any more. I'd passed lots of great sushi joints just to come to this one but now we know!

We had the lunch special and it was great, i highly recommend the sweet potato roll. Our server madilyn was so nice and kind! When we went it was empty but it's obvious this place gets a bustling ambiance very quickly cause of the food quality.

I just recently found this restaurant. The salmon was delicious and Nick the manager was the the best! I'll definitely be going back:-)

The food was pretty good I had the Gyudon which was beef with onions and rice. The flavor was really good and the beef was really tender! There was a lot of rice like definitely too much for the portion of beef. The service was good however it did take a while for me to get my food while everyone else at the table had already gotten their food. The restaurant itself was really clean and nicely decorated. I'd definitely come back!
