My stay at The Unexpected Hotel was nothing short of amazing. Where to begin? The staff. I’ve never experienced service like this in all my travels. Valeria set the tone from the start, she is the most professional and genuinely attentive person I’ve ever met, going above and beyond to make our stay as fantastic as possible. That same spirit carried throughout our visit. Ewa, our breakfast attendant was super, and every staff member at the pool and throughout the hotel presented the same high standards. The overall feeling here is that every guest is treated like a VIP. This experience exceeded expectations, and I’ve already booked two return visits. Truly a 5-star stay.

We spent 6 nights at this hotel at a cost of €5545 in the Anything Can Happen Suite with Stage View. Here is a summary of our experience.||- Before the holiday we received a scam email claiming the booking would be cancelled unless we clicked a link to a pretty convincing scam site requesting a deposit payment. It appears Palldium Group suffered a data breach which they emailed us about a few days later. It is fortunate that I did not fall for this scam. Bear this in mind when trusting this hotel and company.|- The free airport transfer was great and the staff member very friendly and helpful, although it took four emails to arrange.|- The gym is well equipped and my partner was able to complete three complete CrossFit workouts.|- The pool area was always completely full apart from the poolside beds which are charged extra. Given the price paid we did not expect to have to pay hundreds of Euros just to lay by the pool.|- The beach area was the same - all the free beds were full and half the beds were €1000 minimum additional spend on drinks/food! There was a waiting list for the free beds which we did eventually get one after an hour wait on average.|- There was only one member of staff taking drinks orders on the beach in the free bed areas, but plenty in the 'paid' areas doing nothing. The one staff member in the free area disappeared for long periods and it was not permitted to order at the desk or bar, and despite complaining three times it took an hour to be served. When we were finally served, he added a 15% tip without asking, which we only discovered on check out.|_ The room itself was filled with optional extras which once opened would be charged, with no pricing easily visible. For example bottles of Vodka, and various accessories placed strategically around the room.|- The door on the room toilet didn't shut properly, had no lock or latch and your partner can hear everything.|- The balcony hot tub was just a bath and not a very comfortable one to lay in. The glass screen was very dirty and obstructed the view.|- The view from the balcony was great showing the stage as well as the beach and sea. However you can get almost the same view of the stage from the rooftop bar which is free for guests to access, so overall there is no reason to pay the much higher bill for the stage view room as you the view is very similar and you can't watch the show from the hot tub due to the very dirty screen.|- The room service was the best part about the hotel, decent food, delivered quickly with friendly staff.|- On check out we were charged for a food item we never took from the minibar. The hotel completely ignored my email complaining about this.||Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again as it offers very poor value for money and the service is lacking for the price.

My low score for the hotel is purely down to the service we received during our stay. |Check in was very busy with only two staff on and despite us already doing the pre check in forms online. The staff were also incredibly pushy with room upgrades and continued after telling them we weren’t interested. |The poor service continued at the poor when we weren’t offered towels and despite asking twice for a drinks menu, had to go down to the bar ourselves to order. The bar staff advised we needed to order with a waitress/waiter but we had already waited over 30+ minutes trying to do so! |Lunch service was also poor despite minimal tables being occupied at the Oyster and Caviar bar. We had to send our food back as it was cold and waited 30+ minutes again for a gin and tonic. When we did get the attention of a lovely waitress called Geraldine, she was very attentive, friendly and sorted our problems. |We had a suite with a stage view room which was exceptionally clean and just an amazing experience. To watch Calvin Harris from the balcony one way and have a view out to sea the other was a great memory. The suite was very spacious also. |Breakfast was good and service much better than the day before.

One true finding. If you like good energy, parting or not, this is a great place to go. You can choose days of the week to have better options and prices. If you want to go when there is a popular party, costs more, of course, but I think the experience is worth the expense. Staff is truly great, making you feel welcomed at all times. It’s all arranged so you can enjoy the experience at full, they are in all details (extras, entrances, discounts, invitations, welcome process, check out process), well invested money in happiness. Thanks to all staff, and Special thanks to JORDINA, transmitting such a nice vibe all the time and making the stay even more pleasant with her suggestions and disposition to help. Highly recommend if you are into music holidays.

Had a great 2 night stay in September to celebrate my 40th. |When we arrived we got the opportunity to upgrade to a stage view suite room for a small fee. Considering how much these rooms usually cost it was great value for money. We were also given a late check out and a bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. I am so glad we had the stage view room, we still went into the venue but it meant we didn’t have to rush and could watch the start of event from our room. ||Pros- |The hotel has great decor |Everywhere is very clean |Staff are super friendly |Event tickets included |Able to come and go as you please to Ushuaïa |Comfy beds |Stage view is great although you can also use the rooftop bar if you do not have a stage view ||Cons -|Not enough free sunbeds |Half of the pool area is taken up by chargeable beds/areas which are an extortionate amount of money |Not enough free beds at the beach bar either so during the day it was hard to relax in the sun if you didn’t get up early enough to get a bed. |The buffet breakfast is really overpriced at 60 euros per person! There was nothing special about it.

We stayed in The Unexpected for one-night in September 2025.|
We had been in Ibiza and chose to stay at The Unexpected for the closing night of Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.|
We stayed in an Anything Can Happen Suite and would highly recommend choosing that room. It’s stunning, luxurious and you feel like a bit of a rock star!

While the upfront price might seem expensive, once you factor in getting free show tickets and a bottle of champagne (I was expecting a cheap Cava but it was a limited edition bottle of Moet!), it’s actually reasonably good value.||I’d also highly recommend the taking the breakfast - it is perhaps the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. There’s so many options, from the ice cream machine, cava, pizza, caviar, to all the usual options… amazing. The walk in price was €60 - and expensive breakfast on first look - but I’d say the quantity and quality of the food more than justify that price!||Despite the proximity to the ‘club’ it’s actually very quiet in the room. You could hear the music on the balcony, but we never heard other guests or the music when we were in our room.||The only downside of a high-end 5 star hotel is that the bar and extra prices are all high-end. And there will always be guests with clearly more money than you.||I’d recommend staying at least one night in The Unexpected on your Ibiza trip.

Hell’s Kitchen was a truly unique experience because of Esther. She did not alienate us in what seemed to be a place largely targeted at high net individuals. We had a wonderful dinner all thanks to her and her eagerness to give us the dinner of a lifetime. Incredibly tasty, incredibly nice waiters and overall a good experience. Oh and they make the steak tartare at your table to your own personal preferences! Quite the spectacle and, thus, a guaranteed perfect outcome.

Charged €180 for Whiskey We Never Touched I was a returning guest but won’t be back after this experience. After checkout, the hotel charged me €180 for a minibar whiskey we never touched. Despite multiple calls and emails, they refused to listen and insisted the charge was correct. Their “proof” was a photo of a bottle with a broken seal but still completely full - which made absolutely no sense. We didn’t touch ANYTHING from the minibar and if we had actually opened it, why would we leave a €180 full bottle behind? Even after explaining this repeatedly, they didn’t care and kept the charge. Thankfully, American Express investigated and refunded me due to lack of evidence. But the hotel’s handling showed zero accountability or care for guests. It was clear to us that there had been a mistake - either housekeeping opened it, it was misattributed from another room, or something else went wrong. Regardless, the hotel refused to consider ANY possibility other than blaming us. I’ve stayed here before, booking multiple rooms each time and paid for minibar items in the past. I’ve spent thousands of euros here - I’m not someone who would try to avoid a legitimate charge and they know that. On top of that, one of the main reasons I booked this hotel again was for the DJ and music vibe at the pool. This time? No music at all. Staff said the sound system was down. Fine, these things happen - but why not rent some speakers or at least offer a free drink to guests? Instead, they did absolutely nothing. For a hotel that sells itself on “vibe,” it felt lazy and careless. Looking at other reviews online it appears this minibar issue has happened to many others too. I wrote numerous emails (attached) to try and resolve this matter privately. Unfortunately this hotel has completely lost my trust - all over a bottle of whiskey we never even touched.
