UTOPIE

A short fifteen minute drive from the heart of Colmar but absolutely worth it in every way possible. A seven course lunch for 80 euros not even including all the extra dishes (14 unique things we tried) they sprinkled in before and after. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted leaving nothing to waste and locally grown and sourced. The staff were delightful and informative despite French not being our first language. The cocktail of the day was refreshing and delightful while they also offered a great local selection of wines and beer.

Definitely the best meal in Strasbourg. The restaurant is located in a historical building, the food was delicious (6 courses for €58, very good price performance ratio). Service was also very friendly. My husband and I both enjoyed the wine recommendation as well.

I think this is one of the best restaurants in the area. Every dish was delicious, the elements of French cuisine combined well with elements of Japanese cuisine, the amazing combination of black rice and fish roe, the use of bonito and seaweed, the perfect carrot cake and saffron ice cream finish. I would return if I had the chance, thanks to the chef！

A thoughtful lunch experience: 1 little appetizer, 2 starters, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts, a little caramel at the end. Tristan amazed us with different texture and flavors to complement the main ingredient. Nicolas was so nice, being able to explain in French, English and German and answer all the questions about the dish. The price is very reasonable, I even consider it very kind. All that eye and mouth pleasing experience for 52€ and lasted us about 2,5-3 hours.

We needed to book three month’s ahead, people who post that they came spontaneous are very seldom this restaurant seat’s 16 guests only! The reason is the superb combination of local produce and the genius of the owner Chef with his fantastic maitre serving the best wine’s to compliment the dishes. Browse through the photos and you’ll get the idea that Utopie want’s to convey! Simply said an amazing culinary experience which lasts around three and a half hours 😋😋😋😋😋

We stumbled upon this restaurant while trying to escape a rainy afternoon and could not have been more pleased. It was a wild three hours of culinary delights! We came when it was a surprise menu day so we were served 7 fantastic courses without knowing anything about the foods. The food, plating, and service was amazing. Our waiter was very kind in explaining the dishes despite our lack of French (we attempted German instead). The dishes looked small, but by the end I could barely finish the last dish I was so wonderfully full. I often dream of this meal and cannot wait to experience this restaurant again.

Visit the restaurant for lunch and get to taste their surprise seasonal menu. Everything was delicious and flavorful! Beautifully decorated plating, friendliest waiter, and the meal is full of mixed flavors. We had an amazing time. Definitely plan 2.30 h for the full course and book in advance as it’s always full. If you have time for 1 fine dining meal in Strasbourg, visit Utopie! It’s really the best.

The best restaurant ever! You cant find this kind of food anywhere else. The chef cooks with fresh local products, develops his own recipe with them, and each ingredient creates perfect harmony. The entire course was an amusing experience. Service was perfect!!! I definitely recommend this place, and I cant wait to come back and find out new dish!
