Me and my friend decided to try Uzbegim, and we ended up loving everything about it! We ordered the Lagman, mantu, chicken kebab, and the avocado hummus with pistachio pesto every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The servers were amazing as well: attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed tasting authentic Uzbek cuisine. Highly recommend this restaurant! 🌟

Just stopped in here on my lunch break, so it was fairly quick, but really delicious food. I got the rice pilaf (PLOV) with beef. The beef was very tender and juicy, the rice was delicious and flavorful, and the match stick carrots were cooked such that they basically fell apart in my mouth. The blending of the simple flavors and textures between the seasoned rice, beef and the carrots was great, and felt pretty unique considering the type of food that I'm used to. Also, the price point was extremely reasonable for San Francisco, and for the quality of the food I received. Highly recommend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Uzbek Cuisine 🇺🇿✨ If you’re looking to try something new and flavorful, this place is a must! Here’s why I recommend it: 🍽️ Amazing Food: Every dish is full of authentic Uzbek flavors — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. 📍 Great Location: Easy to find and has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. 💸 Affordable Prices: Generous portions at very reasonable prices! 💪 New & Growing: It’s a new restaurant, and the team is learning as they go — but you can truly feel their passion and dedication. Highly recommend! Be patient and supportive as they grow — you’ll be rewarded with a tasty and unique dining experience.

I recently visited this restaurant, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and inviting. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely made me feel taken care of. Service was fast, professional, and seamless from beginning to end. Even the smallest details were handled with care. Whether you’re coming for a casual dinner or a special occasion, this place is a must-visit. I can confidently say it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended!

The star of the night was kebab paradise platter. Lambchops, beef kebab, kofte kebab were excellent. Chicken kebab was ok. We also really liked samsa. Manti were ok. My lagman soup was not bad. I wish it were hotter temperature wise and spicier. The plov we were not very happy about. To us, the rice felt undercooked. But then the lady eating next to us, who was from Tashkent, told us that this is how they cook plov in Uzbekistan. The meat in the plov was good, though. Overall, a very good culinary experience, and not expensive.

Absolutely delicious! The best Uzbek food in SF. We went there on the second day of their opening and fell in love with their crispy Somsa, flavorful Manti, and of course Pilaf. The flavors are fresh, and bold.

Google
Food is amazing, service could improve- there were several servers and they did their best I guess, but it seems like there’s no system. It’s unclear who’ll get server when and whether you’ll eat at the same time.

Great place! I know these guys are new but any restaurant would have issues if they just opened. Let’s be patient guys. Hopefully owners will read this and put as much effort as possible to get this place set up. Flavor of the food is good. In general, Uzbek cuisine is just amazing. All the best to the restaurant and Uzbek community from the community of Kyrgyzstan 🫶🏻 P.s: not scam or fake review, real person writing from the bottom of my heart

Yelp
This Place is amazing, We were sad to see Chaska go, but Uzbegim is a worthy successor. I think it was the best borsch I've had in the city. Its very hole-in-the-wall which is a plus in my book, and the server was helpful with his recommendation of the Honim which was great. I would recommend going early in the day because they were running low on so Kebabs but that is the only problem I found.

Yelp
UPDATE: 11/3/25 They never refunded the $5 I was overcharged; rounding down to 3 stars. -- 3.5 STARS Central AZNs are HANGRY for a taste of home. And, Uzbegim couldn't have chosen a better location. While there's a small population of Central AZNs, it's my understanding that many live nearby in Outer Richmond. Visited on a weekday after a nearby appointment - they were hella busy with dine in and takeout orders before noon. SO come early to avoid a long wait. Uzebegim opened to the public on 10/20/25 and I believe were only open to friends & fam before that. Indoor dining and takeout available. M E N U Uzbek cuisine is a blend of Russian, Chinese, Persian, and Turkic cuisine. Most dishes feature rice, noodles, and meat. Only a fraction of the menu was available, see pics. F O O D * Samsa ($4 x5): https://tinyurl.com/mrxm2nry A staple app in Uzbek cuisine, samsa is a baked flaky pastry filled with meat and onions. Bought one for dine-in and four for a friend. I don't know if I received a leftover samsa that was reheated (heard microwave dings) but the flaky dough was tough and chewy. Generous amount of savory beef and onion filling tho. Served with a mild tomato sauce for dipping. * Plov: Pilaf w/ beef, carrots, zig'ir oil ($17): https://tinyurl.com/5y77j8xn - I was told no lamb available The national dish of Uzbekistan, Plov is a rice pilaf with meat, carrots, barberries, raisins, chickpeas, onions, and spices. Traditionally, a rich and hearty dish. Uzebegim's rendition was too oily and underseasoned...and this is from someone who thinks FAT = FLAVOR. I would have preferred more cumin, coriander, and salt to balance the sweetness of the carrots and raisins. The slab of braised beef was stringy. One quail egg included. S E R V I C E Polite but they're def trying to figure things out so come with patience. They don't provide an itemized bill and after requesting a receipt, I noticed I was charged $5 for the side salad I received but didn't order (I was told they will refund me $5 so we'll see). They watch as you denote a tip on the handheld POS which is hella awkward. A M B I A N C E Cozy space with nine tables. P A R K I N G Difficult street parking. Overall, I've only had Uzbek cuisine a handful items so I'm no expert. Uzbegim's regional style just wasn't my jam but that's a me issue. There's only two Uzbek restos in the city so no doubt Uzbegim will be very popular. Three stars for the food, adding .5 stars and rounding up because it's hard to find Uzbek food in the bay.

Yelp
I will be back everything was delicious and fresh I love the non bread I dip it in everything and the sliced veggies with the hummus & tzatziki. The prices are good for the portions. Customer service was friendly. I had been wanting to try this place since I seen it open. This was my 2nd night in row coming back hahaha I'm glad they're open till 11pm as everything else in the Richmond district closes pretty early for food. Thank you again Uzbegim Edit: I will be having the mastava soup all winter long!!!!!

Yelp
Their food is the best in town. The service and atmosphere are great. Shashlik, plov, and soup we ordered were simply delicious! Their portions were also generous.

Yelp
Driving home from the Cliff House side of Ocean Beach via Geary and saw this restaurant. The name sounded like Uzbek cuisine, which I love, so did a U-turn and found parking. Stepped inside at about 4pm on a Saturday and the place was already full. Waited a bit and looked at the nice pictures and map on the wall. Service took a little while but we were not in a hurry. The server told us they were out of many items (plov, manti, laghman) but we understand, the place was only open 5 days ago. Ordered a couple of items (kebabs and lamb soup) they did have and waited, and waited. The kebabs and lamb soup came out and they were so flavorful. The soup was excellent and the kebabs were simply the best. Ordered another since they were so good. Asked the server what bread the other table had and got that too. Later the server asked us how the food was and we said excellent. He said that we should try to traditional Uzbek foods like plov and samsa. I was like yeah, we wanted to, but you are out. He nodded and acknowledged his folly but then he said the samsa will be ready in about 20 minutes. We told him we would wait. The wait was worth it. The samsa came out piping hot. Roof-of-mouth-burning hot. The texture and flavor were unmatched. The flaky, buttery crust of the samsa cooked in the tandoori oven is just so good. We will definitely be back and hope the prices don't go up too much!

Yelp
Food is good enough for new restaurant. Service needs big improvement, the price is more on economical side, plov and lagman is worth to try
