"Squeezing in two lunches may seem ridiculous, but it’s worth it to try the comforting fare at V-Eats Modern Vegan at Trinity Groves. Feast on Fritos chili pie, buffalo cauliflower mac and cheese, and coconut milk rice, then wander around the area to walk off a seriously full stomach before heading to the next stop." - Allison Castloo

I’ve come here 2 times so far and each time I enjoyed the food! It tastes like meat but it is 100% vegan and healthy. The chili cheese brat was delicious! The Brussels Sprouts were amazing!!! I must say my favorite thing on the menu. I have no complaints about this place. I swear non vegans can eat here. They won’t know the difference.

This should have been a 5-star review but the waitress we had ruined that. My friend and I went today 7/13/19 and the host was super friendly, made sure our table/chairs were cleaned before seating us. Took a little too long in my opinion/experience for the waitress to come over initially and she did not do a good job with checking on us and our drinks were completely empty before she came over and got us refills. But the food was superb!! Beggars Plate, Fried Chik-non with Mac'N Cheese and Truffle Parmesan fries were amazing! Fresh, full of awesome flavors, prepared perfectly and the presentation was on point. The Basil Strawberry Lemonade and Blueberry Lavender Lemonades were light, fragrant and delicious! I highly recommend V-Eats for all, Vegan or not! #WillWorkForVeatsFood

Wonderful food, very clean place, and wonderful staff. I really pigged out and tried the BLT, chicken and waffles, vegan eggs, and the bread pudding for dessert. The drinks we're also very good and refreshing! My only suggestion is that they make bigger biscuits and some more "chicken" on the waffles. Also maybe have a bigger selection of salsas. We absolutely loved this place and we will stop by again whenever we're in town! Very cool location!

Reviewed updated for 2021 It seems like there has been a change in ownership of V-Eats, I don’t think chef Troy is associated with this brand anymore. The reason for this rating is due to the high bar that was set at its previous location. The food now is fine, but just fine. It’s less inventive. And maybe this is part of the vegan scene growing up, I enjoyed having a nice sit down place to go and celebrate special occasions. We ordered two different tacos: al pastor (impossible beef + pineapple) and oyster mushroom. Both of the tacos were fine, and that’s the thing they were just fine. At this point, I think anyone can make this kind of taco, so I’m being a little harsh because of that. Also ordered the cauliflower bites which were good, but again it’s a dish you can get almost every other vegan place you go to. I’d like to see more creative dishes, but in the end the food was fine if you’re in the area and kind find a vegan option.

The nachos were okay. The fried non chicken was salty and not too good. And surprisingly the ice cream was salty for some reason. The banana bread pudding was the best thing here...pretty delicious, but it took them 30 mins to bring it out. The servers looked very busy and were not nice or attentive.

Searched for vegan options in Dallas and this restaurant was one of the first that came up. The reviews were great so decided to go and try myself. I turned up with no reservation on a Tuesday night and was able to get a table. A large group and several couples were already seated, the atmosphere was cosy but not cramped not too loud. They have indoor and outdoor seating though it was too cold for outdoor when I arrived. The menu is extensive and my waitress asked me upfront if I had any allergies or dietary requirements to cater for. Staff were very friendly, constantly smiling and checking if I needed anything. The food was great! I had fried pickles as starter and General Tso "chicken" for mains. The portions were large (I ended up taking home my leftovers) and the food all freshly cooked and full of flavour. The prices were very reasonable. Would definitely eat here again.

Hip urban vegan bar spot... The beastless burger made with their in-house made black bean patties is tasty. They also make a great sangria! The ages on this day appeared 25-45. Prices are typical. Close to downtown and perfect to stop by after an event in the city. Good date night spot, drinks with friends/colleagues, and good for a solo outing to soak up the vibes!!

Update: thought I would give them another chance, came here and they are not even open. No mention on their website at all! Don'f go to the site, it's closed and does not say when it will open! Sunday Brunch First, let me start off by saying, I love to support vegan food places and hate to leave bad reviews. This review is not really bad but critical. I have been to many vegan spots in Cali, NYC, Portland, , Chicago, Paris so my palate knows good vegan food. We drove from South Mansfield to eat here. When we arrived we stood there while at least 4 staff was standing by the bar and were not greeted at all. Then a man told one of the women to seat us, she didn't seem happy to do this and she sat us and handed us these disclaimers about not giving refunds if you don't like the food, so on and so forth and no menu. We sat there for sometime with no menu, and it was not busy, as we came when they opened and we had a reservation. We finally get a menu and all 3 menus had different items on them. And when we asked which was right, the waiter just said and pointed "that one" and walked away, he didn't even give us 2 more correct ones. We then find out even the "correct" one was still wrong. Anyway, we ordered drinks, they were decent. We ordered a waffle, the "Chicken" Fried Steak and the BLTA. One great thing about the food is it came out quickly, it was nice and hot and it looked really yummy. Although it looked appetizing... it was just okay. The waffle was decent but had some kind of after-taste, the fries too. The bacon on the BLTA was not crispy and was just okay too. The Impossible "chicken fried steak" was okay and we didn't eat it all, it fell apart. The tofu eggs were to soggy. The hash browns where the only good thing for me. My husband and daughter liked the fries though, cause they ordered 2 more sides of them, as we didn't finish the "Chicken" Fried Steak plate and my hubby was still hungry. I had high hopes, I can't say I will return, the drive was too long for mediocre vegan food and mediocre to bad service.
