Where To See & Be Seen In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Nashville's newest Italian spot is also one of the hardest reservations to get in town, and prime dinner times at V Modern Italian in the Gulch are booked over two weeks out. Inside: packs of bachelorettes posing in front of the massive tree in the middle of the restaurant and dressy couples sharing a black truffle sourdough pie out on the patio. It can be a bit much with all the marble, gold, mythology-inspired murals, DJs, and a napkin-waving ritual called the “Pedro.” But the food, like scampi reginette in a creamy lobster bisque and tender tuscan chicken, makes all of the over-the-topness worth it." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

Nashville’s New Restaurant Openings - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Nashville scored the first stateside location of V Modern Italian, and it seems like there’s a lot going on: street art murals depicting various Roman gods, a massive tree in the middle of the dining room, plates of pasta misted with Red Bull. The sourdough pies coming out of the Italian stone oven look promising, as do the cocktails." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

We visited tonight for my birthday and overall, we had a great night but beware of the parking situation. All the staff were incredibly kind, the food was outstanding and the details of the building and interior design were so unique and fun. The service though was sloowwwww!!! We sat down just before 7, we got our bowl of gnocchi and focaccia bread starters at 7:34, and didn’t get our two pizza entrees until 8:16. We were about to leave at the end of our meal when the waitress stopped us and brought me a small dish of ice cream and a sparkler. It was a very fun and kind gesture and we didn’t want to be rude. Well unfortunately this bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup costed us over $30. We got the parking code from the hostess since we parked at Modera (which gave us 2 hours of free parking). Unfortunately because of the slower service and the surprise bowl of ice cream, we were parked for 2 hours and 5 minutes which costed us $31.50 which is INSANITY. For FIVE minutes! I understand the cost of parking at Modera is not V Moderns doing, but this is where you recommend your patrons to park, and two hours just isn't enough time when service is slow. Again, overall we were pretty happy with our night out and our first visit to V Modern, and will probably recommend (with a warning) but I don’t know if we will be back.

This place was amazing. Exeeded my expectations. We sat at the patio because we did not have reservations but the warmers made the temperature comfortable and the views were still great. The whole place has a very nice vibe and it was pleasant on a Monday. We were celebrating our sisters birthday and our server Rixy was great! She provided us with excellent service and was very helpful in recommending great plates. She definitely made her birthday night a great one. I will definitely recommend this place and advise that you ask for her as your server.

Roxie was incredible! She spoiled us with our birthday celebrations and was extremely attentive. We loved every dish. The truffle pasta was a favorite. Will definitely come back!

Google
Hilary our server was amazing. So friendly and attentive. Ambiance is incredible. The pasta was delicious. The pork chop unfortunately was like Jerky. I wouldn't get that again. But I want to go back to try more dishes. A great addition to downtown.

I had an excellent dining experience at V Modern on Wednesday. Our server, Roxy, was outstanding — knowledgeable, attentive, and provided excellent recommendations. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was flavorful and absolutely delicious. The Meatball is a must have. I highly recommend V Modern and suggest making reservations in advance.

An unforgettable dining experience! V Modern Italian exceeded all my expectations. Every dish was exquisite, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavors. The ambiance was warm and stylish, perfect for a relaxed evening out. Our server, Paul, was absolutely incredible attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly cared. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a perfect mix of amazing food and exceptional service!

I loved the vibe and atmosphere—it’s a beautiful place. Our waiter Kiki was so nice and attentive. The ice cream stood out the most; I’m usually not a vanilla person, but this one was amazing. The mashed potatoes was a bit greedy, but tasty. The sourdough pizza was great.

Google
Believe the hype! V Modern is one of the best dining spots in Nashville right now. They validate parking for two hours in the attached garage, which is a huge plus. The design and vibe make you feel like you’re in NYC or LA especially with the good mix the DJ was playing (the sound could come down 1-2 notches though to make the area by the bar a little better). Their seating options make this great for both date nights and group dinners & everything in-between. At first, I was a little hesitant of how I would feel because the staff was moving so fast that it didn’t seem like they were acknowledging new patrons however, I noticed that they were constantly moving with a purpose: running food, bussing tables, and sitting new guests. Me and my cousin ordered at least 3 appetizers, 2 sides, and 3 entrees and each one was flavorful (roasted potatoes could use a slight finish of salt but that’s the only critique). Also, you pay via the QR code that’s on the table which makes splitting checks very easy which is also a huge plus and it’s really straight forward. I love that more restaurants are going this route. Our server Amari was amazing: personable, attentive, and someone I’ll be asking for on my next visit for my monthly group outing.

Yelp
absolutely stunning dining area!!! Tables are low lit and very elevated. Great spot for a romantic dinner or a celebration with a large group. The antipasto tower is INSANE. such a great shareable the table with a little something for everyone. Pasta was good! A lil more al dente than I'd usually go for but the sauces were delicious. Dessert is super fun and unique. Their cannoli service includes sparklers and a staff member building it in front of you!! such a cool experience!! their tiramisu is made with baileys instead of coffee which is not my fav but it is an interesting twist on such a traditional dish! parking is included in the garage next door at moderna gulch for 2 hours ! Definitely recommend making a reservation !

Yelp
I dined here a couple months ago & have been meaning to leave a review. I joined in late with my friends. They were sat & had cocktails but unable to order any apps due to their policy of having all guests at the table to order. No problem, totally understand. After joining, we waited over 35 minutes for our server to come back to the table to get another round of drinks for them & water for myself. We ended up ordering two bottles of wine & some shareables. I noted to our server I have a severe nut allergy. Once our food came out, i had cut into the burrata to split with our crew. I licked my fingers & instantly knew there were nuts in the dish. After my throat & tongue were beginning to start swelling, I had asked our server if there were nuts. She said no & had told the kitchen about my allergy but she would double check with kitchen. Turns out, there were nuts. She apologized & offered if I needed anything else. I asked for additional focaccia to see if I could sit through it but that's all we received. No manager came to offer anything else or even ask if I was okay. We closed out our tab & unfortunately a birthday dinner for my friend came to an abrupt end since I had to deal with my allergy. Disappointed in the lack of service & lack of care. I do not recommend dining here if you have allergies, especially severe allergies. EpiPen 1 V Modern: 0

Yelp
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Nashville. WHAT A VIBE. Napkin twirling. The DJ had me dancing in my seat while eating. Five star service from every single server. Here's what I recommend ordering: * Bruschetta (TO DIE FOR) .*Meatball appetizer *Pizza with Spicy Pepperoni & Honey *Cannolis made TABLE SIDE with sparklers *Steak was SO FLAVORFUL *Layered Cake was light & fluffy without being overly sweet *Pasta - I liked the Truffle white pasta more than the red pasta. I'd add a protein next time

Yelp
Came for dinner as a party of 4. The vibes of this place are awesome! The decor is beautiful and you can see it from the moment you pull up! Our server was good, attentive and pretty quick. We started with drinks and ordered our meals. I had the modern ribeye which was delicious! It came with herb roasted potatoes and broccolini. We also decided to order the cannoli concierge which was a super fun experience where a cannoli cart comes over with sparklers and you can choose your toppings (2 cannolis for $12). Fun place! Would recommend!

Yelp
V Modern Italian is a must-try! The service was great, super knowledgeable, plus 3 hours of free parking. The place is clean and decorative. I had the Focaccia Tartufata, Black Truffle Creste, Velvet Espresso, Green Tea Shot, and Baileys Tiramisu - all amazing!

Yelp
I began with their standard espresso martini, which offered a robust, dynamic duo of flavors from the Evil Bean coffee liqueur and espresso. To start, we ordered the Focaccia Tasting, which consisted of warm rosemary focaccia bread and sides of balsamic olive oil and house marinara for dipping. The bread was delicious -- cooked perfectly -- slightly crispy on the edges and warm and fluffy inside. The bread paired well with the olive oil and marinara. For my entrée, I ordered the Black Truffle Pipette. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sauce was delicious, but the black truffle was subdued. And the dish had only a few roasted portobello mushrooms, which was disappointing. Regardless, it was so good and the perfect size -- it left me satisfied but not stuffed. For dessert, I tried the Baileys Tiramisu. It was definitely a unique take on the classic. Rather than coming in traditional cake form, it was served in a glass and comprised of mascarpone cream, Baileys-soaked chocolate cake and cocoa powder. I thought the dish was overpowered by the mascarpone cream, which seemed to dominate the dish. The chocolate cake seemed more like crumbs on the bottom of the glass, and I didn't taste a hint of Baileys. However, the cocoa powder on top paired well with the mascarpone. In hindsight, I should have ordered the almond cake. I loved the decor and ambiance inside the restaurant. I felt cramped navigating between the tables, but everyone was mindful of the limited space, so it wasn't much of an inconvenience. Our waiter was fantastic, and I was amazed by how quickly our drinks and food were brought to the table (in courses, not all at once, thankfully). I will definitely return to explore more of the menu. The sourdough pizzas looked divine.

Yelp
Wanted to love this place but the food was just ok. The inside is absolutely stunning with great decor and ambiance. Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The Mediterranean Olive appetizer was just a cup of Kalamata olives... like you poured them out of the jar at home. 100% not worth it. The Vodka Rosa pasta lacked flavor. The pasta wasn't anything special. I was expecting pasta that is made fresh daily but this clearly was not. The Barolo Braised Short Rib was tasty but there was too much gravy/sauce on the plate. Pizza was good, classic style but for the price you can get just as good elsewhere. Floppy tasty crust. Loved the red onion on the Spicy Italian Pizza - it was caramelized and added a nice touch to a pepperoni pizza. Cocktails were well made. It's evident the bartenders know their craft. Decent wine list. Happy to see a super Tuscan available.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun vibe and a beautiful ambience with decent food, V Modern Italian is a solid choice. We came on a Saturday night for a 9:30 reservations. This was probably the biggest struggle of the night. We checked in at the host stand, but it took another 30 minutes to actually seat us. Based on other reviews, it looks like we missed the towel swinging, so if you want to see that, a reservation around 9 pm is ideal. From there things definitely trended upward. We had some Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martinis, which were delicious. For food, we had: Meatballs: juicy, flavorful and delicious. If you order the focaccia, it tastes delicious to dip the bread in the meatball sauce. Stracciatella: If you love burrata with a hint of spice, this is a dish for you! Chicken parmesan: this one was interesting. There were good bites and dry bites. I do wish it had a bit more melted mozzarella, but it was still good. I'm not a gnocchi fan, but theirs was light and pillows, so I do appreciate that. Short rib: a little dry and the sauce was a bit salty. Mashed potatoes: I agree with other reviews that mentioned that they were grainy. Hot Italian sausage pizza: this was easily the best next to the meatballs. The pizza dough was so light, and I loved the spicy and sweet play of the pizza. This restaurant is great for group/friend dinners, dates, etc, especially if its a pregaming event before a big night!

Yelp
Have to say as a Nashville local I don't pop down into the gulch for a bite very often but I'm always monitoring the coming & going of eateries in that area. It just so happened I was looking for a reservation at a nice vibey spot with short notice for a party of 6 on a Monday & came across V Modern Italian on OpenTable. The occasion was to celebrate the birthdays of two German teachers in town with a student exchange. The photos of the decor & comments on the atmosphere were enough to warrant investigating. The descriptions were accurate. The space is quite pretty & the seating & tables give a modern upscale aesthetic but the vibe is more business causal than cocktail imho. The service stellar with our server giving us plenty of time to have drinks & conversation in between starters & entrees. There was never the feeling of being rushed even though we probably spent nearly 3 hours here. I let our server choose my cocktail & my entree & her choices were excellent. For starters we tried the focaccia & the bruschetta. Both were good enough but nothing incredible. I had the Fior Di Basilica cocktail (chosen by my server) it was light, fruity, & refreshing. For my main the Glazed pork chop was chosen. This was one of the most perfectly prepared pork dishes I've had in town. The balsamic glaze & roasted potatoes were perfect with the sizeable pork shank. Highly recommend this dish. She also chose the garlic butter mashed potatoes as a premium side. Bold choice to double up on potatoes but to her credit they were excellent. I'd recommend this spot for a nice dinner, special occasion, or to hang at their very pretty bar for a drink.

Yelp
My husband and I visited V Modern for a nice dinner out! I love this restaurant! This atmosphere is so welcoming and absolutely beautiful. I love that on beautiful nights the hostess stand is located on the front patio, it unique compared to other restaurants in the area. Our waitress was also so sweet! She catered to a few extra request we had (allergies, food preferences) and made the experience super easy. Now the food! To me honest, it wasn't the best steak or pasta in town but it was pretty tasty. My favorite part of my experience here was the aesthetics and the music! I definitely recommend for a date night

Yelp
This place is as cute as it is on their social media page. We actually snowball up upon this with my friends accidentally for dinner. The whole entire staff was incredible! Especially our beautiful server miss April. Not only were the people amazing but so were the food. I normally don't do dark espresso martinis, but their velvet espresso martini is incredible! Don't be scared of not having any cream in there because it is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much to you and all the stuff for making my birthday celebration so beautiful.

Yelp
We started with meatballs, which were fantastic. Our table ordered two pizzas and two pasta dishes. Both pizzas were delicious, but both pasta dishes seemed to lack meat. The ragu had barely any meat in the sauce, and only a few shrimp in the scampi pasta dish. When we received the bill, we noticed I was upcharged for a premium spirit in my drink, which I did not ask for, and then uncharged again for a shot of St Brendan's in the Affogato, which we also did not order. Would go back again for pizza and an affogato without the St Brendan's. Very cool ambiance inside, but pay attention to your final bill.

Yelp
Love the pumped up vibe! Lively and energetic! Great Modern Italian, as the name would suggest. The pizzas are amazing. Shout out to the dollop of ricotta on the Margherita! But the meatballs and bolognese were the standouts for me. Each time we have been they have been quite packed, so I would recommend a reservation. But there is very nice patio seating and bar seating if you just want to drop in.

Yelp
An evening defined by elegance and effortless luxury. At V Modern Italian, every detail was curated to perfection from the warm welcome with champagne, to a symphony of Italian classics reimagined with modern finesse. We began with the Tutti Anti Pasta Tower and Marinara Meatballs, followed by the Margherita al Parmigiana and Pesto Kale Gnocchi, each dish layered with rich, refined flavor. For dessert: Baileys Tiramisù, Sicilian Almond Cake, and Affogato - indulgent, artful, and exquisitely plated. A night of culinary craftsmanship, elevated ambiance, and exceptional service, a true celebration of modern Italian luxury in the heart of Nashville.

Yelp
If you're craving a modern twist on Italian classics in Nashville, V Modern Italian delivers an experience that's equal parts indulgent and elevated. We ordered their focaccia. It set the tone for what was to come. The black truffle sauce was the bomb. Then i ordered the all vodka pasta. The ambiance was chic but inviting, with moody lighting and a live dj. At a certain point of the night (after 9pm) a surprise shot arrived that added a festive sparkle to the night. The restaurant does offer a two-hour validated parking in the garage attached to the restaurant

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED the vibe and the ambiance here. Low light, intimate seating, and a live DJ spinning tech house! There's even a "dance break" of sorts where all of the staff come out hyping everyone up and passing out limoncello shots. My partner described it as "like a club and dinner, all of your favorites" and I described it as "feeling like a place I would've gone to when I lived in London" which is fitting because I found out it started in Europe and this is their first USA location! The food was also very good! We did everything shared/family style, which is actually recommended by the staff. My favorites were the focaccia and the pizza. Our servers, Noah and Lisa, were also great at recommending cocktails for us. I wanted something sweet and they recommended the Basilico which was literally one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Docking a star only because they were 15 minutes late to seat us after our reservation time and there wasn't anywhere to sit or wait inside so it was a little uncomfortable. We also wanted out food to come out staggered/in courses and it all came out at once which left some dishes cold by the time we got to eat them + the table was quite crowded. They also ran out of desserts so we had to go with our second choice. All in all, I did enjoy it and think it's a spot and a vibe that is unique in Nashville, and one that Nashville definitely needs!

Yelp
I'm basing this 3 stars off the amazing ambience that I can't stop talking to people about. Such a great place to have dinner with friends and family. Food My only complaint is that there are no good vegan options except for a pretty sad salad and the focaccia bread that was really dry even with the oil. But I would go back for the experience and the amazing waiters. Meat eaters in my family didn't hate the food but they weren't raving about it either. It's not bad but it's now spectacular. Parking Oh sorry one more complaint is about the parking if you park over the two hours they charge $10 a minute so it's pretty hefty if you're trying to enjoy your time with your family from out of town I ended up paying $31 for being four minutes late to get my car And drive out the lot . I told staff about this, but they didn't really care. Vibes?! OK back to the good stuff. It's an amazing place with great music (loud electronic mixes) and really good vibes. We went for a birthday dinner and enjoyed every minute. Lighting is not really good for pictures though. Bathroom Dark because of the theme, and gorgeous. Not good for pics cause it's dark but it was covered in beautiful plants.

Yelp
The vibes here are great. On the night I came, there was a dj playing house music. Also, they do the towel thing at 9pm on the dot. The food on the other hand, it's just ok. We got so many dishes and shared them among each other. None of the pastas really stood out to me. They were fine, just not omg sooo amazing good. They were cooked Al dente as well. I know a lot of Americans don't like Al dente but that's how they do pasta in Italy so I understand why v modern does it. The meat dishes were good. We got the steak, pork chops, and short ribs. The sweet hot Italian pizza was v delicious. It was the best thing we ordered. If I were to visit again, I will stick to the pizzas and meat dishes.

Yelp
My friends took me here for my birthday celebration, and it's clear when you walk in that you can come here for vibes if that's your style. They have a supper club that starts at 9 pm. Beautiful space with lots if greenery. There's street parking & the garage parking is validated for up to 2 hrs I believe. Love: focaccia tarufata (best thing all night, love the truffle crema, would come back just for this) Like: black truffle pizza (added chicken, tasty white sauce); marinara meatballs (pairs well with focaccia); almond cake (moist, almond flavor just right) Dislike: Toro Rosso pasta (something was off about the chicken we added); inconsistent with the drinks (one of my friends drink was watery)

Yelp
Service was incredible, as well as the ambiance. We had a beautiful patio seat with comfortable seating which was a reason in and of itself to go back. The inside is also STUNNING. We enjoyed our aperol spritz' and the burrata appetizer was delicious. The gnocchi was delicious as well and you could tell all ingredients were really fresh. I got the vodka pasta and it was a bit too al dente for me. It didn't feel very intentional and just seemed underdone. But I would definitely go back again.

Yelp
Lots of sparklers and big groups. Definitely didn't feel like Nashville anymore. We started with the focaccia for the table and it was delicious! My friends ordered cocktails but the signature items didn't interest them (they wanted fruity options). The bar was very limited on what they could create outside of the menu to accommodate which wasn't a big deal but looking at the extensive liquor selection and appearance of the bar you'd think they could get creative. We were a party of five and everyone enjoyed their food for the most part. I ordered the shrimp scampi-- sauce flavors were nice and the pasta was cooked well but the shrimp were a little overcooked. My friends got the ragu, bolognese and another pasta dish I can't remember. I also have a vegan friend whose options were very limited unfortunately (she ordered bread and olives). The music selection was nice and the service was quick too. We heard so many mixed reviews on the place when it came to food so glad we gave it a chance for ourselves.

Yelp
Had to try out the new Italian restaurant in the Gulch! While it's very pretty inside, to me there was too much going on. Graffiti on the walls, so many plants everywhere it's like walking through a jungle, today's hit music playing and then a "show" at night which was just waiters dancing around waving napkins. Fun, don't get me wrong but not what I was expecting. Our server was super friendly at first, gave us a rundown of the menu and offered his favorites. As the night progressed he was less and less attentive. Not sure if he was subtly trying to kick us out or he just forgot about us. The food was good, but not the best Italian I've ever had. The Caesar salad could have used a little more dressing and less croutons. I tried the pizza at the suggestion of our server and it was good but could have used more honey and maybe smaller sausage slices? They were extra spicy which I did know ahead of time, just thinking smaller pieces may be better. The wine was fantastic and our first espresso martini was better than our second. All in all it was a nice dinner! I'm sure they're still working out the kinks having not even been open a month yet. Hoping to go back soon!

Yelp
I could go here every day of the week! Fantastic food, great drinks. Such a beautiful and well designed restaurant. So many fun elements to an engaging dinner night.I highly recommend adding this to the Nash dine list. The service was perfect and the menu pricing was reasonable for the environment. Cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
GORGEOUS experience for any special occasion, came to celebrate my birthday with a close friend! We made reservations about a week in advance. Parking was difficult as there were not many spots available for the area that is validated - we circled a bit and got lucky with someone leaving. Every inch of this restaurant is an elegant vibe, loved the plants, velvet, rich colors, moody lightning, and so much more. Our server was a vibrant person, attentive and helpful with us navigating our decisions. We started with the focaccia tartufata and it was absolute perfection and the ideal starter to ground us after drinks and wake up our taste buds for the meal ahead. Highly recommend!! My friend is vegetarian and we wanted to split dishes so got the pesto gnocchi and black truffle creste. W O W !! The gnocchi pasta was literally the best texture I've ever tasted, I do feel like it could have had more sauce/flavor; however, the black truffle creste was so richly and divinely flavored with the right amount of sauce and the pasta tender/light/fluffy - it was for sure the winner out of the two for us. We ended with the almond amaretto cake and paired it with the velvet espresso - it truly was the best dessert pairing EVER. The cake had a creamy, tiramisu-like layer that was cold and dreamy, and the espresso had a subtle sea salt caramel finish that brought everything together. Such a stunning, memorable evening, can't wait to come back and savor it all over again. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but honestly, it's understandable given the experience. All five senses (hence the V) are activated from the moment you walk in - the somatic therapist in me was fully here for it. It's not just a meal; it's an atmosphere, a mood, and a moment worth lingering in. Bravo, V!!!

Yelp
The interior and vibe of this place is the main attraction! Loved the ambiance, all the beautiful greenery and low lighting was beautiful. The food was pretty basic all things considered and we hated how loud the music was. Definitely worth a visit, but as a foodie, I was underwhelmed.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. I think I finally found it, may be the best dining experience/ restaurant in Nashville. This place had it all, elegant dining but without the outrageous price. Elevated dishes that don't suck. The pasta was spot on the pizza was great and light. I mean can't really go wrong with anything they have on the menu. People won't admit this but most of the Italian restaurants in Nashville are not good, being from the north east it's been very hard to find good Italian food that actually authentic. This place doesn't have the old school Italian vibes but they bring a new school unique twist to it while keeping the old school flavors. Amazing place and I'm excited to go back soon. Blow away!

Yelp
First our server was incredible, he did a great job informing of us specials and what to expect. We got the FOCACCIA TARTUFATA as an appetizer which was 3 small pieces of bread for 3 of us was fine but wish there was more, the creama sauce was amazing. I got the ALFREDO DI STEFANO and it lacked flavor, I felt like it had no Parmesan taste to it and I was just eating plain noodles. FIOR DI BASILICO drink was good, average price for drinks. Parking they share the structure and say 2 hours free if any available which none were so I wouldn't rely on the structure for parking it isn't huge. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, very enjoyable to get together and chat with friends.

Yelp
This place was great! We have been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant for 3 years and this restaurant nailed it! We ordered a pizza, meatballs, and the vodka pasta. Everything was delicious. We left feeling satisfied and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
V Modern Italian is a delicious, vibey restaurant that I am a big fan of! It's not quite a 5 star experience but it is close. On a nice day their patio is an excellent choice spot to enjoy the weather and great food. For appetizers I highly recommend the tutti antipasti tower if you are in a group. It comes with marinated olives, chips with parmesan, truffle mayo, burrata and bruschetta. The meatballs and focaccia tasting are also delicious and worth ordering! I've sampled almost all the pastas and there are some great selections. Where V really shines is their cream based pastas. The biggest crowd pleaser pasta is the black truffle creste which is a cream-based sauce with mushrooms. I usually prefer a red sauce but this truffle sauce is not too heavy or rich. My second favorite pasta is the scampi reginette which also manages to be light and delicious with a delicate lobster based sauced. It's seafood without being overpowering and is an excellent choice. On my last visit I also had the summer peach salad which was another fabulous dish that everyone loved! The ceasar was good but the peach was the star. The pizza is also great but I'll typically opt for the pasta. There was one visit when we sat outside and the service was a little spotty, but the other visits have been great so hopefully that was a one-off situation. V is a solid restaurant that I have a feeling will be 5 stars soon!

Yelp
We walked in without a reservation on a busy Thursday night and they were able to seat us on the patio. It's a very lively restaurant with a DJ inside, so if you're wanting something quieter I'd recommend sitting outside. The food was all phenomenal and we loved the antipasti tower!! A great addition to the gulch

Yelp
This is the epitome of new Nashville. A lively atmosphere, fun decor, and music playing on repeat. If you're into decent drinks and lots of instagram opportunities, you're in the right spot. If you like good food, I'd skip V Modern Italian. I recently dined with a group of people, all of whom agreed that we were severely underwhelmed. The pastas were drenched in sauce that had a hint of soapy kitchen sink water. The black truffle sauce on the Black Truffle Pipette tasted like they bought a bottle of Bertolli Alfredo Sauce from Kroger and called it a day. The multiple Ribeye's ordered were no thicker than the size of my finger nail and came out well done. None had any sear marks, I'm not sure they were actually cooked on a grill. And unless you're wanting to purchase a bottle of wine marked up 3x more than other Nashville Italian restaurants, I'd stick to the cocktail list. If you're looking for great Italian in Nashville I'd recommend Pelato or Luogo. Not V Modern.

Yelp
This place only gets one star because the place was gorgeous and the vibe was nice. The service was also excellent, shout out to our server Josh. But everything else was horrible. First, our friends have been here with a large reservation group of 18 before with no minimum fee. We got a reservation for 14 people and were told the day before our reservations that it was a $1900 minimum for our table. Which is ridiculous because there was no way we could have found another place with in a short amount of time if we had to. But also, we had people in our party that don't drink, so they wouldn't spend a lot on dinner either. Anyways, the food was terrible. I was actually blown away that they serve this stuff. The bruschetta had so many olives on it, that even when u took them off that was still all you tasted. The short ribs were over cooked, dry and the sauce just tasted like wine. And the side of "mashed potatoes" were grainy like they came out of the box. The didn't even taste like potatoes. All their pastas were dry. Their pizza was so thin, oily and had barely any flavor. I honestly don't know how they are okay serving this food, especially in such a nice restaurant. Hopefully they change this up. Either way, none of us will ever come back.

Yelp
I think this restaurant is finally getting into its groove! You usually have to give new spots a little time to iron out their kinks and maintain consistency, and it felt really good to know that the risk was worth taking to have a pleasant birthday dinner for my friend! I made a reservation for 9 people about 2 weeks ago and the only times that were available were 4:30, 9:30 and later so if you want to go and don't want to try sitting at the bar, book early! We ended up reserving a slot for 9:45p. Our party ended up being much smaller, but we were seated rather quickly after arriving. The ambiance is everything you expect it to be, though the walkways are a touch narrow, it's full of plant life and has a good amount of tables to accommodate various party sizes. The bathroom was super clean, though like the establishment in general, very dark. Our waiter Sam was attentive and honest, and gave us great suggestions that aligned exactly with what we had in mind to order. We got complimentary mocktails and tiramisu (so light with chocolate cake instead of lady fingers, so good) with a sparkler for the birthday girl! It was a great way to end the night. We ordered: - Fior di Basílico (really light and fresh, would easily get again) - $16 - Braised Short Rib (the only actual entree we were recommended, it was really tender and flavorful with a decent portion of meat! The sauce was flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery with a hint of garlic, amazing) $38 - Broccolini al forno (Al dente, the sauce it comes in was savory, and I don't care for mayo so I didn't try the truffle mayo it came with :)) $8 - Sweet Hot Italian (not really spicy, but it was pretty good! The sausage was thinly sliced and the pizza was thin, but not to the point that we were left wanting more) $23 - Spicy Pepperoni (very similar to the sweet hot Italian, a good pepperoni pizza) $21 - Our Caesar (pretty big portion size, the complaint here was in the salad having bacon crunch pieces that didn't really add to the flavor profile of the salad. If you don't mind a slightly different Caesar salad, give this a try! If you're looking for a classic Caesar, maybe ask that the bacon crunch come on the side but it was refreshing) $15 - truffle chips (the truffle cream was amazing, but the chips themselves were rather plain. We actually asked if they had fries when we saw this on the menu, but these were a good addition to the pizza) $9 - Focaccia Tartfuata (whew this was delicious! The truffle cream paired so well with this, we wanted to take it home. If this was given as complementary bread, they'd be bringing this out every few minutes. It was crispy but still soft, a great balance) $9 Total with tax before tip: $194.25 (there was no automatic gratuity) *they packed our food in such cute doggy containers and the takeaway bag is reusable!!* I'd come back for a bite and drinks, a happy hour here would probably be amazing. I'll try the bar next time to see how the service is there, but overall we were very satisfied with our visit to V Modern!

Yelp
We tried our V Modern Italian for a birthday dinner for a friend. The host was friendly. They offer complimentary 2 hour parking in the Modera garage. The ambiance of the restaurant is unreal. It felt like a Miami night club filled with palm trees, a mural, and mid century modern furniture. Our server was bit cool, but other servers who were super friendly came by to check on us and chat with us. The food came out quickly after we ordered. Everything was good. It wasn't the best Italian in Nashville, but we were satisfied. Worth a try for a fun dinner out! Fridays and Saturdays after 8 PM are supposedly the funnest time to dine there according to the staff!

Yelp
The ambience is what you're paying for here. V modern Italian knows how to have a good time, good service, and they also serve great drinks. However, their food is mediocre. I would recommend going there for a birthday party or happy hour but not for a meal.

Yelp
This restaurant is beautiful it was a very modern and lively. The server was very attentive and speedy, we sat out on the patio. The food was decent the focaccia and marinara were ice cold I just prefer it a tad bit warm . The pizza was good the parmesan foam added a shuttle spark to the pizza and elevated it a little . The stars of the show were the mamrita's they were mixed very well and I would come back . Next time I will get pizza's and drinks and I guarantee the night would be perfect.

Yelp
Great, great food! Our table ordered various pastas and pizzas. All divine! The ambiance is so glam and sleek, with a live DJ. The place was relatively empty when we were there, but I imagine it will be discovered and patronized more. Parking in the building is validated for 2 hours. There is no valet yet.

Yelp
People of Nashville this is the spot. The ambience and atmosphere of this restaurant are 10 out of 10. The design is on point and so current. The food was excellent. The servers are great and I love that you can book reservations 100% coming back here next time.

Yelp
We had a great experience at V Modern. If I could give this place a 4.5/5 I would! The decor is stylish and modern, and the overall vibe is really nice--relaxed but still polished. We started with the focaccia, which was decent but nothing special. The peach summer salad had a lot of potential--it was fresh and well put together--but the peaches weren't quite ripe, which took away from the dish a bit. The pasta alla vodka was a definite standout. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I couldn't stop eating it! The pork chop was another highlight--my boyfriend said it was one of the best he's ever had. It was cooked perfectly and really flavorful! Portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were excellent--well made and nicely balanced. Service at the bar was a little slow but it was a Thursday dinner time rush. Overall, a few small misses, but the food and atmosphere made it a place we'd definitely return to.

Yelp
Our experience got off to a rough start. When we first approached the host stand to ask about a table, we were told they wouldn't have anything available until 10 p.m. However, I quickly checked OpenTable and saw they had an 8 p.m. reservation available it was only 7:30 p.m. at the time. I booked it, and when we returned, a different host greeted us much more kindly. The original host seemed surprised to see us and gave off a noticeably passive aggressive attitude. Even though our reservation was for an outdoor table, we were offered an indoor one, but we opted to stay outside due to the noise level inside. Thankfully, our server was fantastic and really turned things around. She was friendly, attentive, and handled an issue with my food (which came out cold some of the pasta was even ice cold) with professionalism and care. She had a fresh plate brought out hot, and the manager even came by to apologize and removed the dish from our bill. The food itself was good, and I truly appreciated our server's warmth and effort. That's the main reason this is a 3 star review instead of lower. The front of house experience definitely needs improvement, but the staff inside helped save the night.

Yelp
ust booked one of our top members in Nashville here for his wife's birthday celebration and amazing hospitality by Jeremy! Went out of his way to make the experience so special and was great to partner with throughout. We book our members at top places throughout the country and Jeremy's kindness and responsiveness is fantastic. Highly recommend and can't wait to book more with him and his team and come enjoy myself!

Yelp
Came here for our Luxie Lash Nashville holiday dinner, and everything was perfect. The food was amazing, the vibe was on point, and the service was top-tier. Huge shoutout to our server, Roxy -- she was incredible. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
This place looks great, but that's about where the positives end. The ambience is beautiful, but the food and service were a major letdown. My steak came out cold, completely unseasoned, and there was a hair in my salad. The service was just okay -- nothing special -- and it took the manager way too long to come over and apologize. By the time they did, the meal was already ruined. For the prices they charge and the way the place presents itself, the quality and attention to detail just aren't there. Really disappointing. The potatoes and brocollini were good that's the only reason I gave 2 stars. PS... why is there no valet and why would you bring out dessert for the table and no spoons. I don't usually eat my ice cream with my hands while I'm out but I guess I can try.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and great food. Didn't like the fact that the host wasn't able to accommodate me on a waiting list. She had an attitude claiming that the restaurant was well known and did have a need for a waiting list. This was a very pretentious response and turn off. I have traveled the world and have eaten at many "well known" restaurants and didn't need to hear that. Steaks are great, pasta was awesome and drinks were made very well.

Yelp
I'm going 4.25 If you came to see swinging towels, you'll be disappointed. They only do that F/S at 9 or 930p. Otherwise great spot and not pricey which is nice.jeff ruby or kayne prime does expensive well lol

Yelp
Food was delicious! Especially the pizza and my vodka pasta! My boyfriend got the Alfredo and he really liked that too. The service was incredible! Our waitress, Suli, was one of the best waitresses in Nashville so far! We live in the area and will request her again :) Be back soon! Oh and the ambiance is stunning!

Yelp
This is a great addition to the Nashville restaurant scene. First things first, the atmosphere is very Big City vibe with great music and energy. The decor matches the energy and even though the music was loud we found it easy to have intimate conversation with our table of four. The bar is very fun and we stopped there before we were seated and the service was quick and worth the pre dinner cocktail. The Food was very quick to arrive at our table and we made an effort to try several dishes from each category. The focaccia paired well with the meatball appetizer and the Caesar salad was a healthy portion and enough to share. We had a couple of the pasta dishes and the pepper one was my favorite by far. Lastly a meat lovers pizza and the short rib did not disappoint either. Overall we were pretty impressed with each bite. The true star of the night was absolutely the amazing service. The sweet hostess came and found us at the bar and took us to our table. As soon as we sat down our waiter Amari greeted us with a smile and continued to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. What a gem of a guy who truly understands the meaning of service. The manager and Sommelier Phillip made a stop to make sure we were happy with our experience and once again made us feel like we were special guests. I am looking forward to returning soon to show off our new fave spot in Nashville to out of town guests.

Yelp
Believe the hype! V Modern is one of the best dining spots in Nashville right now. They validate parking for two hours in the attached garage, which is a huge plus. The design and vibe make you feel like you're in NYC or LA especially with the good mix the DJ was playing (the sound could come down 1-2 notches though to make the area by the bar a little better). Their seating options make this great for both date nights and group dinners & everything in-between. At first, I was a little hesitant of how I would feel because the staff was moving so fast that it didn't seem like they were acknowledging new patrons however, I noticed that they were constantly moving with a purpose: running food, bussing tables, and sitting new guests. Me and my cousin ordered at least 3 appetizers, 2 sides, and 3 entrees and each one was flavorful (roasted potatoes could use a slight finish of salt but that's the only critique). Also, you pay via the QR code that's on the table which makes splitting checks very easy which is also a huge plus and it's really straight forward. I love that more restaurants are going this route. Our server Amari was amazing: personable, attentive, and someone I'll be asking for on my next visit for my monthly group outing.
