V Revolution - Review - Englewood - Denver - The Infatuation

"Englewood’s V Revolution does fast-casual Pan Asian vegan food that works well for a quick lunch or takeout dinner. If it’s your first time, get the V Fries, crispy tofu sticks slick with a sweet and spicy sauce, and a V Thai Salad with red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts, herbs, crushed peanuts, and noodles in a rich ginger dressing. The chili oil-spiked dan dan noodles with Beyond Meat are great, too." - Patricia Kaowthumrong

We dined at V Revolution in Denver and really enjoyed it. We ordered the Boa Trio, which was delicious and had a nice variety of flavors. The Japanese Katsu bowl was also fantastic—it had great seasoning and the katsu was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was laid-back and casual, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out for some tasty dishes!

Google
Fantastic food! We will absolutely be coming back, and I got stuff for my non vegan friends too, and they LOVED it! The katsu rice bowl and orange tofu were amazing

Google
Overall, we’re excited to learn about this vegan restaurant. We went with friends to explore and check it out. We really love the orange chicken and the rice was perfect. However, the pad Thai and the tofu plates were less desirable. They lacked flavor and were very plain. Inside the dining room area was clean, but very open and kind of boring. We were hoping for something a little more cozy as we are out for dinner with friends. We literally sat in a table in the middle of the empty restaurant.

Google
The crispy chicken salad was delicious and filling. The vegan chicken substitute seemed only lightly fried, which was a welcome relief from some of the other vegan meat alternatives I tried. The mango dressing the salad came with was also unique and pretty tasty. The Thai salad was a bit of a letdown as it was almost entirely cabbage, but the sauce was good. Staff were helpful and friendly and our food came out quickly. Worth checking out!

Google
Fantastic vegan food! We swing by here every time we pass through Denver just for their chicken lo mein. The employees are very nice and welcoming. 10/10 highly recommend!

Google
I tried Japanese Katsu Rice Bowl and vegan cheese wontons. The katsu's fried skin was fantastic, and the vegan cheese was even better than real cheese. The price was reasonable, and it came with lots of vegetables and rice. I highly recommend it, you won't find similar stuff in Denver area.

Google
I have been wanting try this place for a while, and it is everything i hoped for. The atmosphere is laid back and modern. The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the drunken noodles. BBQ pork fried rice and orange chicken bao buns. Fantastic. The portions are quite large and pricing is fair. The tofu is cooked well, the veggies were just right. So many flavors and a pretty presentation. I can't wait to come back.

Google
So delicious! Always fresh and amazing flavors. The vegan meat is always tender and flavorful and makes my belly happy!! I would go weekly if I lived closer. Support this amazing place.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Mapo Tofu. It's hard to find veggie friendly . The one here is great and is a great portion size. Not too spicy which makes the flavor come out. I will be back!

Yelp
The food here was a vegan's dream come true! The restaurant was clean, seemed new, a spacious open dining area, a very appealing place to eat. We ordered the Spicy Korean Bowl Tofu and the Spicy & Crispy Beef Bowl, Kung Pao Chickin and the Drunken Noodles. The food was amazing crazy, out of this world good! Imagine all the items at a regular Asian restaurant and wondering if they have any vegan options, this place has everything entree would delight in whether it's Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese or Japanese menu, they have quite a lot to offer. The service was nice, they provided anything and everything we needed during our dine in and explained all their items on their menu and they even have a promo if you write a Yelp review, you will get some freebies or deals. Definitely worth coming back for again!

Yelp
You would need to be a vegan to appreciate the food, service and environment here. I am not vegan though I am mostly vegetarian and a careful eater. Everything at V needs improvement. My first fully negative review .... Ever!

Yelp
Love the concept, but execution was mixed on the dishes we ordered. Food was served fast, staff was friendly, and restaurant was clean. We got the chow mein, peanut noodles, pork belly bao, and milk tea. The bao were good and the vegan pork was impressive, even having a fake piece of fat on each piece. They were savory, had good tang and spice, and a nice crunch from peanuts. My only gripe is that they used kimchi instead of pickled greens. Chow mein was pretty good, comparable to a Chinese restaurant but with vegan chicken meatballs instead of meat. Peanut sauce on the peanut noodle was good, but the noodles themselves were pretty bland. The fried tofu had a good crunch, but zero flavor. It needed either marinade on the tofu or salt and white pepper seasoning on top. Similarly, the milk tea needed more flavor. Overall, I'd check it out if you want a full vegan menu at a reasonable price. I would try the bao, but otherwise get other things.

Yelp
Vegan asian restaurant with a large menu to choose from! Whether you're looking to sit down to eat or grab and go, the service is fast and friendly. We ordered the Vegan gyoza, BRAIS PORK BELLY BAO (3PC), and vegan wings. Everything was delicious!

Yelp
Backstory, my mother is vegan and very sensitive regarding the food she can comfortably eat. Visiting her from Boston, I was lucky to find V Revolution for us to have a great meal. This place was such a great find! The food was fresh, flavorful, and way better than I expected -- every bite was on point. The portion sizes were super generous, which I really appreciated, and the service was just as good. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about what they're doing. I left full, happy, and already planning to come back!

Yelp
PHENOMENAL food and such a cute restaurant!! I absolutely loved the Salt and Pepper Chicken, and the Pad Thai Noodle Bowl, they had fantastic texture and flavor. The Spicy Garlic Edamame is some of the best edamame I've ever had!! The V Thai Salad was also good, but not as much of a favorite as the other dishes. I tried to order the V fries, but I misspoke and ordered V's Chili Cheese Fries, but I wasn't disappointed because they were soooo good!! I always love a vegan restaurant: especially one that specializes in Asian food!! V Revolution definitely lives up to their high rating and I will for sure be back!!

Yelp
V-Revolution gets 10 out of 5 stars from me for their incredible food. However, some of their PRE-MADE DRINKS CONTAIN MILK POWDER, and in my opinion, they don't do enough to clearly label "contains dairy." Very dangerous to anyone with a true dairy allergy. Their Trip Advisor page says "vegetarian-vegan," but their restaurant sign reads "Plant Based." Milk does not come from a plant, so "plant-based" is incorrect labeling. That said, they are a 99% vegan restaurant, and THE FOOD IS AMAZING. I highly recommend the V-Fries (looks like crinkle potato fries; actually tofu fries in sweet orange sauce), Vegan Spring Rolls, Spicy Korean Bowl (tastes a bit fishy to me...,must be seaweed)... Basically, I've never had anything but a great food experience at V-Revolution. I'm considering them for an upcoming wedding catering job. I just wish they would find a pre-made drink powder with coconut instead of dairy milk, or at least label 'contains dairy' more prominently.

Yelp
100% vegan!!! There are so many Bao options!!! Honestly, we wanted to order everything! We ended up ordering Drunken Noodles, Shrimp crystal rolls, Crab wonton, Katsu Bao and a Mushroom Pho. The service was fast and very friendly. All of the food was delicious. I will say that the Pho broth was a bit bland. They do have sauce packets at the front if you need a bit more spice.

Yelp
The food is quite good and the space has plenty of seating. I wish I could've tried more dishes! The restaurant is counter service and open seating.

Yelp
Yum! I visited here with a friend and while we are both meat eaters, I would come back. The food was quite yummy and you would hardly know half of it was not meat. The Mongolian beef bowl had the stiffness in what I think was tofu that pulled off a similar taste/feel to beef. Additionally, the seasonings and sauces were all great to pair. My only wish is we got a different bao bun as these were pretty basic and had minimal flavor. The space has ample seating. It's a bit more casual than a full blown restaurant, but great for a quick dinner/lunch. Additionally, there are specials galore to try for any date night! Finally, while a tad slow to come out, everyone was very nice there. One even complimented my friend on the way she smells. Give it a visit, and you'll understand why even meat eaters should go to a vegan restaurant!

Yelp
Delicious- we loved the Drunken Noodles and the sauce in the Orange Chicken is amazing. Very generous portions and nice staff. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Fast service and delicious food! Found on Happy Cow, which rarely lets us down. Would highly recommend their salads and drinks.

Stacey L.

Yelp
Sooooo delicious! Better than any Chinese restaurant I have ever been too. Their sauces have depth, and everything is perfectly cooked. I'm a super picky foodie and this checks all the boxes. My meat-eating, son who is chef, even loved it!!! Really nice people too.

Yelp
This is a plant-based vegan/vegetarian casual eatery that serves Asian fusion food. Until my new friend suggested this to be our little lunch get-together place the past Wednesday, I had no clue about its existence (or I had heard about it but the knowledge somehow fell into oblivion.) Therefore, I owe my friend huge thanks. I couldn't wait to dine here. I browsed the menu a few times online beforehand so that I wouldn't be so indecisive when I got here on the day of. Japanese Katsu Rice Bowl caught my attention but I thought I'd try to be spontaneous was my intention. I jinxed it. I got me the Katus Bowl when I got here. I mean at least that would be a great starter item to pick for my very first visit. My friend said what she likes about this place is that they serve food in a to-go container even if it's a dine-in. That way, people would not feel so obligated to finish all of their food; they can always take the rest home with them to avoid food waste. I kind of agree with this concept because both my friend and I could not finish our food as the portions here are pretty generous. I truly enjoyed my Katus Rice Bowl. At the first impression, the entire food looked salty (I simply dislike salty food.) I was wrong (and glad to be wrong!!.) Although there was a generous amount of tonkatsu sauce over the katsu part, it wasn't salty at all. And the veggies that were underneath the katsu were cooked to the perfect texture. In other words, they weren't soggy or too raw. This restaurant is surrounded by hospitals and medical offices. It must be very popular amongst those workers from those places. Although on a Wednesday that seemed typical, we were one of the few people who dined here during the peak noon lunch time. The lady at the ordering counter said that this place opened during the peak of the pandemic. I truly hope that they are getting enough foot traffic. For a restaurant that focuses on plant-based only food, they should get more accolades from people who prefer this type of diet. With that said, they have my utmost support for sure!! I'll definitely be back soon. I will try one of the noodle bowls at my next visit.

Yelp
Me? Personally....I'm a carnawhore....but there are certain family members that shun the stuff. Welp they ordered and it came and I must say I was pretty underwhelmed. The two mock meat dishes: chicken and shrimp were all right but I mean you could deep fry my shoe lace and I'd think it tasted okay. Now I must preface this as it was delivery and it probably took 20-25 minutes to be delivered.....and most food does not travel that well. The pad thai really exemplified that.

Yelp
After having been curious about this place for a while, I decided to stop and have lunch here on a day off after running errands. TBH, I'm not a huge fan of a lot of Asian food, and that's the majority of their menu. I especially don't like non-desert foods on the sweet side, and that's also a lot of their menu, so I had a bit of a hard time figuring out what I wanted to eat. I wanted something savory, but not too heavy. The employee taking orders wasn't readily helpful and didn't seem to know what to suggest when I told her that this was my first time here, and what I was hoping to get (savory and not too heavy). I was trying to be quick about ordering, knowing the lunch rush would be coming in soon, so I just went for the Pho. I've never actually had Pho before, so I didn't know what to expect. The bowl of veggies and tofu was huge. The broth came in a separate bowl, which I dumped in the veggies. Though nothing in the bowl would be considered "heavy food", there was just so much of it that I couldn't even get through half. It was difficult to eat without making a mess too. The broth was flavorful, but the veggies were just raw, large cuts, which made them difficult to eat. The tofu was well done, so I did eat all of the few pieces on top. They did carry Three Kings Kombucha, which I love, but overall my first visit to V Revolution was pretty underwhelming. If I visit again, I'll be sure to check the menu thoroughly for what I want to order BEFORE going in.

Yelp
First, I would like to preface this review with the fact that as a chef, I am very much a carnivore. However, I do like a vegetarian dish once in a while that is well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I am recovering from being sick for a week and spicy noodles were calling to me. V Revolution is a quick serve atmosphere, but once you walk in, the smell is intoxicating. We ordered take-out and I immediately was drawn to the spicy ramen. We also ordered the mushrooms and pad Thai. The mushrooms stayed crispy on the journey home and came with a sauce that had great umami flavor. The tofu in the pad Thai was cooked perfectly and had a rich array of vegetables. The ramen broth was incredibly flavorful and I was very impressed with the "pork" and "lobster" in this dish. They were seasoned just like the actual proteins they emulated. I definitely did not miss the meat. I will be going back very soon. I am dying to try the drunken noodles- a staff pick!

Yelp
It's a fast food ambiance, and it does smell like the food they're cooking. I had a tofu curry and it was a large quantity, enough for two meals. Pic is after I ate the broccoli it came with. The curry sauce was all right, nothing special.

Yelp
I'm visiting from out of town, and very unused to so many vegan/vegetarian options. I was really excited to find an Asian vegan place! It was easy to find with plenty of parking. I was a little leery at first though, because it was lunch time in a Friday and it was pretty much empty. I had to double check the hours to make sure they weren't closed. But they were open, so in we went. I ordered the sweet and spicy chik'n katsu sandwich. I've had a hard time finding a plant based chicken sandwich that I actually enjoyed. But I found it here. The chick'n was crunchy on the outside, with a nice texture inside. Some kind of mayo, a sweet chili sauce, lettuce, some kind of slaw, and pickles. My husband ordered the General Tao bowl. The texture of the fried chick'n pieces was exactly like a good Chinese takeout General Tso's Chicken! The bowl was also loaded with lots of fresh veggies. My daughter ordered the kid's chik'n fried rice bowl. We didn't know it would come garnished with lots of green onion (because what kid enjoys that?), so I had to remove every single one before she would take a bite. But once she did she seemed to really enjoy it. She had leftover and ate them again for dinner! We also tried to the cheese wontons, but we weren't a fan. They were loaded with green onions (like my daughter I am also not a fan), and the vegan cream cheese just wasn't for me. The menu was pretty large, and I wish I was in town longer than a single day because I'd love to try more!

Yelp
This place has been on my list for awhile and I finally got to stop here for lunch the other week. So pleased to see the menu is all Asian food ranging from appetizers to bowls to noodles. I didn't come in with a game plan so I asked the cashier what was popular/good because I honestly had no idea what I was feeling. She recommended the beyond meat dan dan noodles and mentioned it was spicy, I love spicy so that sounded good. Waited a little, got the food and it was piping hot with the dan dan mixture/sauce along with some bok choy. I took a few bites and wasn't in love with it, the bok choy pieces were huge so had to cut through (was eating with chopsticks) but really the thing I noticed was an overwhelming taste of mustard which was a turn off. I was expecting the heat from the sauce which definitely was there but I couldn't get over the taste of mustard so I took the rest to go. I am a person who loves leftovers and usually excited to have them. I really had to hype myself up to have these and not throw it away. But I persevered and doctored them up with some additional veggies, spring rolls and chili oil a few days later and it was a lot better. I would come back again even though I am not a vegetarian, the reviews are amazing and the menu looks solid. I'll be sticking the bao next time around.

Yelp
We love this place! The food is always so good! The portions are a good size and they have a lot of options.

Yelp
I had updated a review due to this restaurant reaching out to inform me they were now completely Vegan. As it turns out... once I visited again... it is NOT All Vegan! They still offer drinks/teas that contain cows milk ingredients. Sooo disappointing that they claim to be Vegan and go on & on about how much they value Veganism etc etc (on the website) Altho I appreciate that the food seems to be All Vegan now... it is not right to claim to be Fully Vegan while still offering milk stolen from mother & baby cows! That is NOT Vegan! The website is also not updated... making it challenging to get a real feel for ordering based on info provided online. PLEASE UPDATE THE WEBSITE! Please do NOT claim to be fully Vegan when you are not! PLEASE stop selling cows milk! It is SO close to being All Vegan... I truly hope those final steps are taken to get there.

Aleena A.

Yelp
Friendly, clean, great atmosphere, nothing else like it in town! So happy to have a full vegan Asian fusion restaurant here!

Yelp
Fantastic food! Delicious vegan options. They have a very creative menu. The only recommendation I would have is more gluten-free options

Yelp

Yelp
V Revolution, has a really big menu it's hard to decide. I love that they support local business, specifically OnTheFence Kombucha. I recommend the Orange Chikn & "krab" Rangoons. Spacious Indoor & Outdoor dining.

Yelp
Favorite vegan spot ! Have been coming here for a while now ! And every time I come here the food is always amazing!

Yelp
Awesome vegan and vegetarian Asian food experience in Denver! Bao buns were such a treat, as was the orange chickin! Going off of the chickin dish (and using that to compare to other places) it was really delicious! The chickin pieces were really crispy and kinda chewy (in a good way), and the sauces were tasty and made thick enough to really stick to what you were eating. The bao buns were a treat! The plum sauce and the kim chi brought the pork belly bao to another level. Most everything I could observe on the menu was vegan with a few vegetarian-only exclusives, and even some gluten-free options as well The only criticism I have (if you can call it one) is the menu is a bit confusing when you are in the restaurant. Some of the icons are too similar in shape and color to see what is going on but other than that, I haven't been to any vegan Chinese places this good in the Denver area. There are some great places with vegan and vegetarian options, but if you really want to go somewhere that nearly completely vegan, this is your place!

Yelp
We tried, we really did. I was looking for a healthy place to eat a lunch while driving from the airport to Created Butte. This place popped up with good reviews and an interesting Asian menu. We walked in and it smelled like rancid oil, really off putting. Went to the bathroom and it smelled like someone was extremely sick in there. Some smell I can't put my finger on. A cross between diarrhea and vomit. We ordered and the lady who took the order was very short with us and it felt like we were being a bother to her. We would have sat outside, but it was too hot, so we sat as far away from the kitchen as possible. The dinning room was well appointed with cute tables and chairs and decorations. I had orange chicken, which was decent, but my body didn't like it. I suffered for about 6 hours with bloating and queasiness. Looking back, we should have ran from the smell. We tried, we really did. I'm sorry.

Jay S.

Yelp
The orange chicken bowl was a good vegan was a good vegan take on a classic Chinese fast food dish. Salt and pepper tofu was tasty. Honeydew was lacking flavor. +1 star Felt it was not good value for the money. Much of the portions are just rice and/or noodles anyways. -1 star If I lived in the area, maybe I'd come back given the options (+1 star) but wouldn't sell it to others (-1 star) Service and ambience were good. +1 star

Vicky M.

Yelp
Excellent. Fresh veggies, excellent use of spices. Hearty and tasty orange chicken. Tofu bowl was savory. Brussels sprouts were delicious! Non vegans would love this food too!

Yelp
The food is fresh and tasty, and portion sizes are good too. Friendly staff and clean facility. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
So this restaurant isn't fully vegan, but it's quite close. We had the edamame, dumplings, orange chicken, and crab wontons, and the spicy crispy beef bowl--all of these times were vegan. And all of them were good! We were deciding between the beyond dumplings and the green ones, and I kind of wish I got the beyond ones. The green ones were good, but I think beyond ones would be better. The inside is super spacious. And there's a bit of outdoor seating as well. The restaurant is well kept and clean. I'll definitely be back!

Andrew C.

Yelp
The food is always cooked fresh and piping hot, absolutely amazing service everytime. One of my favorite vegan spots in town.
google avatar

Tigra C.

Yelp
I'm sure it was just what I ordered, but I wasn't impressed. The crispy brussels sprouts were tasty but they're not regular brussels sprouts - they're brussels chips. Just not what I was expecting. I bet this would taste great atop a loaded baked potato or something. The crispy sprouts by themselves was a bit unsatisfying; it felt like something was missing. The V Kale Salad was just meh. Bland and boring. I definitely wouldn't order it again. I'd give them another try when in Denver again. Perhaps I'll have better luck with some of their comfort food.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Had the V Kale Salad and Vegan Orange Chickin Bao and they were so flavorful and filling. The perfect comforting meal after a long day of travel.

Denver M.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Vegan restaurant in Denver. The Creamy mushroom udon noodles may be the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. We also love all of the tofu dishes including the tofu crystal wraps and the tofu noodle bowl. So incredibly good! I can honestly say I have never had a bad dish from V Revolution!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
I really want to like this place. I still stand by the wontons being the best thing on their menu but the lo mein falls short again and I've also gotten very sick after eating here the last 2 times.
google avatar

Dana S.

Yelp
This place is so good! Everything is either vegan or vegetarian, so lots of options if you like Asian fusion! Make sure you come in for the specials that aren't on the menu!

Julie C.

Yelp
The burgers are so big it's worth the price, very tasty and love the fries. Great service. That's why I'm back!
google avatar

Yelp
Bleh - expensive The best thing is they serve is your food into a compostable container so you can throw the it away when you get home. Noodles were stuck together like glue.
