01/17/22: I typically go to Starbucks when I’ve stayed at The Cosmo, but wanted to try Va Bene. I got a coffee, ham and cheese croissant, and yogurt. Hands down the yogurt and ham and cheese croissant is much better than Starbucks. You do pay the difference for the better quality. The coffee was good. Nothing exceptional. Service was fast that morning, since I was the only one in line at that particular time that morning.

Google
I recommend getting an “Americano” (hot or iced) which is like regular coffee but they make it with espresso by adding water to dilute like American coffee. Places like this have far better espresso than drip coffee because espresso drinks are made fresh every time. Mine is delicious! I ordered decaf with half and half with foam on top and cinnamon powder. This spot is conveniently located on the lobby floor right by the elevators to Chelsea Tower and the casino.

Google
The taste was average. The pictures are a lot nicer than the reality. It’s in the middle of the casino and there is no seating that I saw unless you sit in the hotel / or casino.

Any chance I get to experience a new coffee shop, I'm going to be in front of the line...especially if it's preventing me from going to (and supporting) that one popular coffee chain that seems to be on every corner of every street, in every city, that everyone seems to love; just not this guy. My wife and I recently got two Americanos around mid-morning of 25 Feb 2024. After a long evening in the good ol' Las Vegas strip, this coffee definitely hit the spot with its bold/robust flavors. Due to our brunch plans, we didn't purchase anything to eat here, but my family and I have eaten here years ago and I recall that we all enjoyed what we ordered (sorry, I don't remember exactly what we ordered). Of noteworthy mention, my wife ordered a Vanilla Latté on the morning of 26 Feb 2024 and she stated how flavorful it was. The service was a little slow at certain times, but that's going to occur during peak hours with a certain amount of staff. As Las Vegas locals, I'm sure we, or at least I, will be back sometime in the future during our next staycation. Perhaps during that visit, I'll get something to eat and will update this review with the specifics. The prices here are reasonable for being on the Las Vegas strip. I have the utmost respect for this coffee shop because of their support to the active men and women of the Armed Forces, to include its Veterans - this is very much appreciated! I highly recommend this coffee shop to everyone, regardless if you're hungover or not.

Google
This review is mainly to remind myself not to come back. If you've had a decent espresso in your life, I don't recommend going here. It's a dark chemical flavor, and they use Starbucks oat milk, which is suspicious. Is this just a starbucks? That's what I'm trying to avoid in this hotel, but I fear I just need to get out on the strip go somewhere else.

Google
White chocolate mocha for a medium it was almost $9. Lol, but it was good. I can't complain, after all it's Vegas. 😁

Google
***Be aware that they don't always use gloves. My husband came here to get coffee and noticed that one of the employees didn't wear any gloves while laying out the bagels and dealing with the food*** Good coffee, but it's so expensive! $6.75 for a small latte with coconut milk. They also offer pastries and some fruits. So after my last review, where I mentioned how the employees here DO NOT wear gloves when preparing and dealing with the food, The Cosmopolitan asked me to contact them via email. As you can see from my photo, I did just that. I still haven't got a response from them.

Monica Lam

Google
They don’t serve real coffee, just using syrup in the drinks. My coworker felt sick drinking it. My cappuccino tasted awful. And what is worse? It’s expensive!! Stay away!

Yelp
Thankful this place is still around at the cosmopolitan. It's easy no frills something you can go grab take up to your room and sit on the balcony and enjoy your breakfast/ brunch bite with a coffee. The Italian Panini has been my go-to every time I come to town and I was sad to see the avocado toast not there anymore but did try the salmon breakfast with a bagel which came out perfect! Underrated and I don't feel like waiting an hour and a half for Eggslut!

Yelp
Came here twice in a single day and walked away both times after my purchase thinking wth just happened. First time, I was given the wrong amount of change but since it was only less than a few dollars, I let it go. When I came back later in the afternoon to get an iced-tea and even though there was only one person in front of me, service was slow. I could've stopped by the VIP lounge to get the complimentary water and coffee service but I was just craving iced-tea so I waited. After waiting for about 5 minutes, this lady in her 50s decided to walk straight up to the register and just cut right in front of me, with the cashier being fully aware of what had occurred. I asked her if I was invisible, and her response was the lady was old and probably not aware I was in line. Really? That lady walked around me a few times and obviously knew I was there. I deal with a good amount of patients who are seniors at my job and being "old" isn't an excuse to lack etiquette and manners. To make things worse, I ordered an iced tea but walked off with an iced coffee. Truly disappointing. 2/10

Yelp
The good: they usually have a short line, usually only 4 or 5 people deep. They are set back behind some slots so I think they are overlooked in favor of Starbucks. The bad: they are slow AF. The line may be short but they have one speed - slow. No one seems to be able to multitask. They will chit chat amongst themselves and stop whatever they are doing. Please.....you can do both! The prices are what you would expect in LV. A medium drip is $5.50. The backed goods are pretty good.

Yelp
Love this little cafe located inside The Cosmo. Grabbed a quick pastry, fruit cup, and warm beverage before we hit the strip for the morning!
google avatar

Jenn R.

Yelp
Located on the casino floor, Chelsea Tower, Va Bene Caffè is a great place for different types of coffee and pastries. the line can get long, but not nearly as long as Eggslut. So, there's that. THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Ham & Cheese Croissant | Extra crispy on the top. Layers of ham and thicc slices of cheese inside. This was more than filling and I felt stuffed afterward. But other than that, it's a legit croissant to try out. THE DRINKS DRUNK. - Hazelnut Latte | The hazelnut flavor is strong in this drink, but balanced by the espresso and steamed, frothy milk. We'll definitely return when we're out that way.

Yelp
Good place to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning, particularly if you're staying in the tower near the front desk tower at the Cosmo. Much more convenient than the Starbucks and better food and coffee too. The coffee was always hot and fresh and they offer nice big cups. The cheese danish I had one morning was delicious. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of their morning treats. The lines do get a little long and they may be under-staffed... it may take a little longer than your typical Starbucks to get your order. But it is worth it.

Yelp
Always a favorite . Fresh pastries , kind staff , convenient location in the cosmopolitan .

Yelp
This place is all about consistently. Which I truly appreciate. Been staying at Cosmo for past 3 years and one of my go to Coffee & BFast spots is Va Bene. It's in the middle of the Cosmo Casino to the south side of Chandelier bar & Gambling tables. I've ordered here almost everything but my fav is the Brew Drip Coffee, Avocado toast & Salmon Plate. Good service and you can use Identity points for purchase. I'll be back. Arrivederci!

Millz M.

Yelp
That blueberry loaf is so delicious. I literally went there everyday of my stay and bought 2-3 loafs. They bake it on site and so worth it. The coffee is idk im a snob when it comes to coffee so it was basic.
google avatar

Yelp
Ehh, Serves Starbucks Coffee. Hidden behind the slot machines along the wall. Some baked goods, oatmeal and other drinks available.

Yelp
I wanted to rave about the croissants here but realized I've already posted about the croissants here 6 years ago! Let me tell you... they are still DELICIOUS!!! I opted for an almond croissant and americano on this visit. Seriously the best almond croissant I have ever had! I am going to be craving it for a long time and sadly I won't be back soon enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food and they keep the line moving quickly. Super friendly staff and they get the orders right every time!
google avatar

Yelp
Grabbed a latte from Va Bene to walk the strip. Long line that didn't move too fast. Good coffee. Love the Cosmopolitan vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummmmmm! Had this for a quick bite before heading out. My bf and I had iced americanos, pumpkin muffin, and almond croissant. Yes, it was pricey but our items came out fast and it was delish! I was one happy camper
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
Nice little spot on the casino floor of the Cosmopolitan (towards the lobby) to grab a coffee and a pastry. Line is usually long in the mornings but it does move fairly quickly . I got the vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant. The latte was perfect but the croissant tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. Prices are a little on the high side, but not as bad as one would assume for it being in the Cosmo.
google avatar

Diana Z.

Yelp
The best avocado toast and iced lattes always the sweetest baristas working too. I never come to Vegas without coming here at least 2 times lol
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in here for some morning coffee, as we prefer this over any other in the hotel. Simple and easy also tried a delicious muffin.
google avatar

Yelp
I got a unflavored espresso from Va Bene, very good. Line was short during the time I was there

Yelp
While wandering around the Cosmopolitan I discovered a pastry bakery that I have never been to. I did not even know it was here. Va Bene Caffe is not located where the heavy traffic from the strip frequents. So here I stand my weakness dessert! What the hell? You already know that I am going to sample a few items from what sits behind that glass. The caffe is very small but has a little lobby where you can enjoy your pastries. I took mine to go, and enjoyed them at home. As I browse over what to get and what not to get I come across a raspberry creme tart that was calling my name. That one came home with me. The macaroons were so delicious and delightful looking they added those to the to go bag too! The customer service here is phenomenal too. Mind you I visited this Caffe around 1 am 'ish. Remember this is Vegas! Back to the service, the ladies that helped me were so sweet and friendly. One of the ladies was pregnant too. My props go out to her! Way back 15 years ago, I managed a Starbucks and was pregnant with the twins. I worked up to the day that they induced me. The name of the pregnant cashier escapes me but she had a fabulous attitude for her condition. Her condition is not something bad, but a very positive place as she is allowed to work . Just because a woman is pregnant does not mean she cannot do anything! I give an applause to the Cosmopolitan for allowing this beautiful and brilliant pregnant woman to work being that pregnant! While I was paying for my pasteries I noticed a donut that looked so amazing. The cashier saw me eyeing the donut and informed me that it is delicious. The advice of a someone pregnant is all I need to make a decision the donut went into the bag. The donuts flavor was caramel. After paying I moved to the lobby area by the condiment bar and took that donut out of the bag. Wow I ate that donut on the spot. The caramel was so rich and and was swirled throughout the circular shaped piece of incredible dough. A first for me trying caramel on a donut. Take note: we need more caramel flavored donuts! When you come and visit the stunning Cosmopolitan Hotel meander around and explore more. Towards the bar called Vespar is where this caffe is located. Come and satisfy your sweet tooth with donuts, macaroons, tarts, and so many other yummy features that sit behind glass ready for you to enjoy. The customer service is great from the friendly ladies behind the counter. If you need pick me up juice, i.e. coffee they have you covered there too! Now that you know, it's time to go get your treats and be va benne. Va Benne in Italian means all right!

Yelp
So after my last review where I mentioned how the employees here DO NOT wear gloves when preparing and dealing the food, The Cosmopolitan reached out to me asking me to contact them via email. As you can see from my photo, I did just that. I still haven't got a response from them.

Yelp
My friend, Amber, who works at The Cosmopolitan told me the Everything Cookie is her favorite. I bought four. One for Amber, one for another friend, and the other two for me and my kid. Crispy at first bite, smooth and flavorful with each chew. Milk is optional. Dang! The Everything is a favorite for all of us.
google avatar

Yelp
My latte here was ok but the croissant was so terribly disappointing. I expect more if I'm paying premium prices.
google avatar

Yelp
The last four visits to vegas since March there's been no Nutella brioche. Workers say everyone is asking for it, so I'm asking, where the eff did it go and why hasn't it come back?! That's the best thing at this coffee shop in the Cosmo

L D.

Yelp
Good coffee. Probably better than the Starbucks. The almond croissant is delicious. The service was okay. We went twice and they weren't super friendly, but not rude either.
google avatar

Alexsander L.

Yelp
The pasties are amazing. I went several time earlier this year and they were good. I just recently went and they even better. The made a few needed changes. Sweetness, crispiness, buttery savoriness, the amount of filling and nut are perfect. The bakery chef and staff need a award. I wish I could say more.

Yelp
So this little café was surprisingly inexpensive. This isn't typical for the high-end casinos on the Las Vegas strip but hey good job cosmopolitan. If you ever go to the strip you have to know that the Cosmo does not provide free parking. However for a tasty little treat coffee in the morning pretty fabulous. Place is vegetarian friendly and also surprisingly it is gluten-free friendly. I ended up Actually having the gluten-free blueberry muffin and it was really amazing-usually gluten-free products are not that great especially pastries. I have a small latte again only five dollars and I'm pretty sure Starbucks charges more than that for a latte. Me, my mom and grandma are all very satisfied with our morning stop. I wish I had snapped a picture because it was just adorable.
google avatar

Yumi M.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab coffee, and ended up getting some of their pastries - they looked so good! We got the nutella crossiant and the gluten free cookie. The crossiant was very light and we could not taste the nutella so much. However, the gluten free cookie was AMAZING! Super chewy, chocolatey and everything you need. Except I definitely would've loved it if they had actual chocolate chips inside so maybe they will include them next time we visit!
google avatar

Kimberly F.

Yelp
Very overpriced coffee, if you walk a little further down the casino you will find a Starbuck which, prices are way better there. I feel that ideally this location is supposed to attract those leaving their rooms to grab a cup. Sadly I wasn't one of those and I just happened to have a meeting here. For a medium mocha its $6.50 I guess if you wake up a zombie coming out and in need of a coffee fast this would be your place to go. If you have the opportunity go a long way away from the strip and just stop in downtown for coffee if you have the willpower to do so. What didn't take me much willpower was putting it up to my lips tasting it and just chucking it into the trash.

Yelp
Located on the 2nd floor of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, my husband and I decided to grab an afternoon snack on Christmas day (surprisingly all the stores/ shops are open on this day). We ended up getting: Kale salad, $8 prior to tax- This comes in a 16 oz container, but because I was sick, I asked if it would be possible to have it split into 2 containers. The employee who took my order said she could do that for me (which she did). This salad was really tasty, I especially liked the pomegranate seeds for the added sweetness and the citrus dressing. The kale itself was hearty and fresh tasting. My husband liked his portion of salad as well. 16 oz Mocha, $6.50 prior to tax- I did not have any of my husband's drink but he did like it and thought it tasted like a standard mocha drink. -------------------------- (Total= $15.67 after tax) Our transaction was easy and pretty quick. My salad was given to us after we made our order. But for our drink, we had to wait to have it made. One thing that I did not like was that they never said our name or call out the drink name once it was made. The employee who made it just placed it on the counter and walked away (where anyone else could have taken our already paid drink). But because we sat inside (seating is limited, there is also some seating outside), my husband was able to watch so that he could get it as soon as it was ready. Overall, a convenient place to pick up something to eat (they also sell sandwiches and a few other salads, along with pastries) or drink (they also provide bottled water with the Cosmopolitan logo on it for free) while you are gambling your money away.

Yelp
Went to visit with a couple friends staying at the Cosmo. Upon my arrival they werent completely dressed, so I figured I'd head down and see if I could grab a quick bite to eat. This was the first place a spotted after getting off the elevator. Decided a sandwich would be great to soak up some of the alcohol I planned to drink. Its a tiny spot with a limited menu, but all I could see looked delicious. I choose the roasted turkey panini. I gave them my name and shortly after my order was up. I was tempted to play a little Wheel of Fortune as I waited. I hadn't eaten since the night before, but I dont think it had any bearing on the fact that it was soooooo good! It was made with a cranberry bread that was so freaking delicious! I almost went back to get another, but I was headed to a pool party and didnt need the extra bulge in my belly

Randi I.

Yelp
We have been coming to Va Bene for years and getting their wonderful croissants for breakfast with our coffee we make in our room. Well last trip we discovered that their cookies are the BOMB. I seriously make claim that their peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie is the BEST cookie I have ever had in my life. The cookie is so tasty, the giant chocolate chunks on top are perfectly balanced to the peanut butter. It's just so so so good. And then there is the chocolate chip, which comes in as the second best cookie I have ever had...the salt chunks on this bad boy are like a mini explosion in your mouth. If I am ever in the show "the best thing I ever ate" - this could absolutely be a contender when it comes to the cookie category. The line is a bit long in the morning but not crazy long like at the bakery/coffee place at Bellagio. People that are rating this spot low due to the line, need to get out and see that in Vegas, you wait in lines - if there is no line, don't eat there, it's just not good enough to attract a line, so why waste the calories!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Even though the Cosmopolitan is filled with restaurants (and their awesome buffet!), I think it's pretty cool how they still manage to fit in a cute, little coffee/gelato shop. Of course, it's still rather chic and modern like the rest of the hotel...but a coffee/gelato shop nonetheless. After seeing their case of Panini's and sandwiches earlier in the day, I stopped off on my way to my room to grab a Chicken Milanese sandwich for dinner before heading back out for the night. Essentially a breaded and fried chicken cutlet with a spiced tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was surprisingly filling but it was just okay. I loved the melted mozzarella, but I got a tired of the sauce by the end (the spice kind of overpowered everything else). While the chicken cutlet was fine for the most part, it kind of sucked how the breading started to get soggy by the time I got back to my room (the sandwich steamed itself during the walk from Va Bene to my room). Hard to blame Va Bene for that one though. Between the small Orangina and Chicken Milanese sandwich I had, my dinner was quick, but not really cheap for what I had ($13 or so). Not all that shocking being the Strip, but there are better sandwich options nearby if you're willing to walk (JJ's at Paris or Earl's at PH). Otherwise they aren't bad and offer plenty of menu choices for a caffeine fix to keep you going for the day. Or night.

Yelp
Soooo slow! Not one worker was attempting to do their job in a timely fashion. No eye contact, or acknowledgment. There were a ton of workers too. Complete mess. Many patrons not happy.
google avatar

Earlene C.

Yelp
Their Chiaroscuro Mocha is the best!! Sweet bold wonderful flavors in a cup! This coffee shop fits right into the Cosmo, everything at this hotel is unique including this shop with the bright neon lights and electronic menu boards.
google avatar

Trina W.

Yelp
The coffee is good. It's better than anything offered on the second floor. Our ultimate destination was the eggslut and I remembered from last time that the coffee there is not stellar. I thought that the yelp community would not steer me wrong it is 3 1/2 stars that are rated for this company. We weren't even at the register, the girls start barking orders at us, the previous customer hadn't left yet. If you have any questions, forget about it they won't answer them they are so rude and push you along, I just wanted to know if they have sugar-free syrup for my Americano. Their pastries are the same cookie cutter stuff thats everywhere else. We were one of 3 customers and it took a long time to get a simple coffee. A little customer service goes a long way. Ironically, if you pay by card, they automatically expect a tip.
google avatar

Erik H.

Yelp
Good espresso coffee drinks. There are locations on the first and second floors of the Cosmopolitan. Because there aren't huge conventions and the shops are not located in major walkways, the lines for coffee in the morning aren't too bad compared to some of the other hotels, but the baristas seem slow and don't have a good system as people behind me got drinks before me. That said, i think they are best with their sandwiches. I highly recommend the Italian sandwich toasted if you are looking to not eat in a restaurant in the hotel. My only beef is that the second floor location closes early. They also have good gelato!!
google avatar

Amelinda L.

Yelp
Located on the first floor near the front desk and across the floor from Identity Membership. It's open 24 hours and served beverages and light food (similar to Starbucks). It used to be one of two locations, but since the arrival of Eggslut on Level 2, it is the only one. My sister and I were recently on property for a short errand and stopped by for a quick coffee. I opted for a 16oz. Iced Coconut Mocha with Almond Milk ($6.50). I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but the coffee was delicious! A lot of places only serve soy milk as a milk alternative, so I was delighted to find almond milk. Anyway, deeelicious mocha that I really enjoyed and a good experience. I would totally stop by for the same drink again!
google avatar

Yelp
Ever since a local cafe in good ol' Orange County got rid of my beloved chocolate croissants where the chocolate was uniquely baked into the dough instead of just stuffed inside a plain croissant, I've been on a quest to find a comparable chocolate croissant. I was staying at the Cosmo and walked by this little coffee storefront on the way to my room...and lo and behold, I spotted such croissants! I immediately ran in to buy one, and even though it cost a ridiculous amount, it was well worth every penny! The croissant was very flaky, and each layer had just the right amount of chocolate. I also ordered a latte, but it cost almost $8 because I got a larger size and asked for soy milk. The latte was just okay and definitely wasn't worth the money. I would only come here for the chocolate croissants, but not for anything else, considering the pricing is so steep. I would much rather go to another coffee shop for everything, but the croissants! ;) 2.5 stars, rounded down for being a rip-off!
google avatar

Maridel A.

Yelp
Yum!! so many pastries to choose from and they're big too unlike the teenie tiny ones from Starbeezy. Ordered the walnut croissant -- maybe it was almonds, idk it was nutty. Anyways... conveniently located in Cosmo, affordable and the cups are bigger :)
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
1 Double Espresso- $4.50. F! Quality of the coffee was good and there's some nice space to chill. A good option if you really can't bear to leave the casino, but I think I'd rather have gone to Starbucks. $4.50, my god!
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
Wow, some people just like to complain about everything. I like this cafe. I visit here every time we are in Vegas, which is nearly every month. Their coffee is solid but the most amazing thing on their menu is the almond croissant. I love their almond croissant. It's great for breakfast and equally awesome for a late night snack. My only grip is that the coffee is always super freakin hand burning hot so I always ask for an extra cup. Yes I'm wasting an extra cup but at least I get to enjoy my coffee comfortably. Sometimes the cashiers are really friendly, sometimes they don't make small talk. Yes, customer service is important but it's not the end of the world. Also, if you need to mention how expensive this place is then you're better off going to Starbucks by the front entry. The line is probably going to be super long though...
google avatar

Monnica S.

Yelp
Pros: -can use identity points towards purchase -the food is good -service is friendly -not too long of a wait -their napkins are really good quality Cons: -not much of a selection -prices are a little steep, so if you're paying out of pocket, it can get costly -seating area is scarce, so you're better off taking it to your room or finding seats somewhere else
google avatar

Rob Y.

Yelp
Wow, this place is shockingly expensive. You really are paying for rent here. Check out my receipt here and you will see how these people roll. The pastries are good, the latte was good. $6 good, uhhh, no way. It would be IF it had liquor in it. So this is definitely a 4 star place if it was 25% cheaper so I docked 2 stars because it is one of the most expensive lattes I have ever had in my life (so far). So if you are staying at the hotel like yours truly, you have 2 options, bend over and get your coffee here, or hoove it elsewhere. Perhaps you might be able to score some coffee in the casino, but who knows how much they are going to gouge you.
google avatar

Pegah Y.

Yelp
Very mediocre cafe. There's a Va Bene upstairs and downstairs at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Vegas (where we stayed recently for my friend's bachelorette party). I wasn't too impressed. An average, somewhat dry croissant cost $5. A bottle of water cost nearly $5. And my friend's breakfast sandwich (which looked dry and old) cost her $13. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd only visit if I absolutely had to.
google avatar

Addy G.

Yelp
I always love to get a fancy cup of coffee whenever I'm in Las Vegas. There is usually one fancy coffee shop at each one of the resorts. There are actually very few that I have not tried, at this point. When I saw Va Bene, I was very excited to try the coffee there in the next day. When I approached the register, the lady was very confused by my questions. I couldn't tell if it was a cultural difference because she was not American, or if she was just being rude. It put a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively before I even placed my order. I wanted to know what kind of roasts they had. I wanted to know my options. I guess that was a confusing question. She said "we just have our roast" I said "ok, well then I'll have that." My fiancé and I each ordered a medium cup of coffee and split the turkey Panini. For two large coffees it was $9.50, but what I thought was cool is that if you keep either your coffee cup or your receipt - you get free refills all day. That makes the $4.25 coffee a little more justifiable. The coffee is pretty good, but the turkey Panini is really what to write home about. It's absolutely delicious. I really wanted to go back the next day and get their breakfast Panini. That will be for another time since we tried Eggslut instead. Review on that later. Overall, aside from the odd confrontation at the register, this place is pretty good.

Yelp
Gem's Addiction! Va Bene Caffe is an Italian cafe/bakery located in the The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. There are 2 locations, one on the 1st floor near the casino & the other is on the 2nd floor next to Holsteins Shakes & Buns. Va Bene offers a variety of pastries, donuts, cookies, muffins, macarons, salads, sammies, paninis, and an array of hot & cold beverages & a variety of coffee/caffeinated drinks. The 2nd floor location is a storefront and also sells gelato & has limited seating available. The 1st floor location is just a kiosk and doesn't have seating or sell gelato but has everything else. Va Bene serves up breakfast & lunch sammies/paninis & other quick foods, but I only tried some of the bakery items, the gelato & of course the coffee, but the salads & sammies looked fresh & good!  FYI: Va Bene has a stranglehold on the coffee biz at The Cosmo. It's the only place you can buy a cup of coffee, no Starbucks or other coffee shops on site like at Caesar's Palace :-( So being a person that drinks coffee at any given hour, 24-7 & am cranky without it, I quickly became a regular at Va Bene during my stay at The Cosmo out of necessity. I'm not a complicated coffee drinker & I never get the fancy coffee drinks with all the goodies in it. I just like my coffee strong & black & really hot! So as long as the coffee meets this criteria, I am a happy glamper. The coffee at Va Bene was good & hot but a medium, black coffee was a lil pricey at almost $4, 4-gems! FYI: There are no coffee pots in any of the rooms or suites in The Cosmo, so unless you wanna cough up $25 for a "not so big karaffe of coffee" via room service every morning that you are too lazy to make the hike down to Va Bene, then you better put on your walking shoes & throw on a hat! My laziness cost a cool $50 plus tips! But in my defense, I didn't have to ride the elevator all the way down to the 1st floor in my jammies from the 36th floor aka "cost-convenience analysis" people!  On to the sweets...Va Bene offers a few free of gluten bakery items, and I tried the gluten-free, mudslide walnut cookie & the gluten-free, mixed berry muffin. The gluten-free Mudslide walnut cookie was chewy in the middle but with crunchy edges. It had a rich, dark chocolate taste with chopped walnuts baked inside it. It's not a soft cookie, but it's tasty. It cost $4.50 but is a decent-sized cookie, 4-gems! The gluten-free, mixed berry muffin was a mixed bag. It was soft in the middle with a nice berry flavor, but the muffin top was really hard. In fact, I cut it off & didn't eat it. (I hate hard muffin tops!) The muffin was good sans the hard top. I paid $5 for said muffin but ate only $2.50 worth of it. The chocolate croissant only had a lil schmear of dark chocolate inside of an overly dense shell. I was hoping for a lighter, flakier croissant with a lil more chocolate inside...$5, Schwing & a miss! One macaron will cost you $3 a pop. I got 1 tiny raspberry macaron. It was a cute, purple, airy, lil, bitty taste o'berry & down in 1 bite! Good but one & done!  Finally, my fave dessert/snack at Va Bene was the Irish Coffee gelato. The only other thing I love as much as a cup o'hot coffee is a cup o'premium, yummy "gemlato" to pair with said coffee, rain, snow or shine! A small scoop o'gelato in a cup will cost you $5, but I thought it was a pretty generous scoop. There aren't a whole lot of gelato flavors at Va Bene but sampling is allowed & I definitely think Irish Coffee is the best flavor there. If you've ever had an Irish coffee drink, it tastes just like that but in smooth, creamy, thick gelato form. It tasted gemtastic with my regular, house-blend, black coffee, 5-gems! So if you're stayin' or playin' at The Cosmo and you need a light breakfast, lunch, snack or jolt o'caffeine, take 5 & stop by Va Bene Caffe cuz it's bene good & you have no other choice! Yes as other yelpers complained about, you pay a prettier penny at Va Bene for your drinks & treats, but live a lil people, um it's not Dunkin' Donuts. Just remember, you're in Vegas for thrills & great meals NOT good deals!

Yelp
Great little modern coffee shop to sit and have a snack. We ordered some Macarons (French cookies) and some bottled orange and lemon italian sodas for the kids. Nice place to stop and people watch. It's located inside the Cosmopolitan near the shops.

Yelp
I love this place. I don't even know what some of these people are complaining about. The line is never long. I've never waited more than 2 minutes for my order. Coffee is great, food is great. Prices are reasonable. The protein box is delicious. I get it every morning. Also try the grilled cheese it's fabulous. Oh, and free refills if you keep the receipt. Keep up the good work guys!
