Vaco is a freelancer's best friend. A client I'd been doing business with for years selected them to manage their contract employees and I couldn't be happier with their service. I submit my hours each week and get paid every two weeks with no invoices to create or chase down. Senior Office Manager Brittany Zahn is outstanding. It looks like a lot of old Bay State Staffing reviews are skewing the results here. I can't speak for their temp services, but I can't say enough good things about the contracting experience I've had with Vaco the past two years.

She was incredibly responsive and efficient, even working after hours to make sure I was ready and prepared for my interview. I got a job through Bay State Search in 2021. Cons: I'd rate this a 1 Star Recruiting Company but I am giving them 2 stars to be generous. They did not have much info about the job I was interviewing for, so was not able really prep for the interview. The onboarding was non-existent, you basically have to figure it out yourself. Hardly any communication during the placement process. Once placed, no communication at all. For some reason I didn't even have to show any ID, license, Social Security ID or Passport to get the job. No communication, no process, No paperwork, not much of anything when offboarded. You have to figure out who to call if you have questions or problems, and good luck getting a call back. Therefore, I would say the team is not very professional. Pros: I did get the job and the pay was good, otherwise I would have rated 1 stars. Would I work with this company again? Absolutely not.
