At the beginning of my process with Vaco, I was under the impression that I would be working at a dispensary to be helping with inventory mainly. I was hired alongside many other temps. When I began working there the permanent employees, including managers, it was clear they were not told about what our roles were meant to be, and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunications between the temp agency (Vaco), and the dispensary. Me and the other temps were under the impression that our contracts would be up in three months, and many of us stayed longer. This was good in a way that I wasn't out of work too long, but was a little stressing not knowing when we would be asked to leave. It made it hard for us to plan accordingly. Luckily, the dispensary was hiring full time employees, and when I applied I got the job. In my case I got lucky with being hired full time. But about a week later the other temps and I received emails telling us we were being let go in a week. Since I was hired full time I was only out of work officially for a week, but some of the other temps weren't as lucky as me. Overall though, the person who hired me through Vaco, Jacob, was a very big help when it came to any problems that arose, and would respond very quickly to any emails, or calls. Working with Vaco was almost like a free trial at the dispensary I'm still at.
