"One of the newest on the scene in Portland, Vagabond Brewing is a brewpub that comes by way of its home base in Salem. This brewpub, however has a look and feel all its own, as it has an actual airplane inside the taproom, and a new logo to match. Its street tacos are some of the best to be found at any brewpub in town, and it features a solid lineup of beers from saisons to sours. It’s also one of the only brewpubs in Portland with a wicked brunch menu, offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Vagabond welcomes families, and offers a full kids’ menu. The taproom and the beer glasses are filled to the brim on UFC fight nights." - Ron Scott

I happened upon this fabulous brewery/restaurant as I was taking side streets to avoid that crazy railroad crossing on SE Division How did I NOT know about this place? It’s going to be my new favorite hangout! The restaurant is nice and bright. The bar is beautiful. The staff and service is outstanding! The menu is diverse with a couple of salads, a burger and a few sandwich options. Monday is Burger Monday (Burger + fries + beer for $10!) Sunday - Max’s Fried Chicken Dinner Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday 10-3 This Bloody Mary is one of the best I’ve had. I had mine with a spicy vodka and a chili rim. Check out the garnishes!! They have treats for your 4 legged friends. Rex enjoyed his fish skin treat! I can’t wait to come back and experience their menu more.

Better go now before everybody else discovers this amazing family friendly brewery/restaurant! Awesome new location next to the Darigold facility pouring some deliciously crafted libations plus an innovative food/snack menu and incredible interior ambiance to boot. Our bartender, Nicole, happily doled out tasters with a smile ensuring we all selected the best beer options for our particular tastes and was ready to refill as soon as those pints neared the end. She was well informed on the establishment's history along with all their beers/menu items. Great service to say the least!! We had several IPAs, all well received, also the Pilsner, and Dark Lager... What stuck out was not some crazy, unique and innovative flavor profiles, but more so consistently well crafted brews that hit all the expected notes plus some. The Pilsner tasted like a Pilsner should, yet was done so clearly with care and compassion for the art of brewing beer. Their beers are well made with the intention of perfection rather than experimental, one barrel varietals you may never see again. Their staple beers are just the tip of the iceberg and I can't wait to see what they brew up next! Happy hour deals from 3-6p are great! Burger for $7, pints $3.50, and quite a few additional options. Regular menu pricing is also pretty standard, if not more reasonable than the competition ... $9 burger, $2 extra to add fries... Can't complain. The venue itself is fantastic! Filled with wooden beams, an old Cessna and plane components inspired by the 3 owner's history in the armed services protecting and defending our country. They made a very wise investment and I'm confident you will agree. Stop by today, in Salem and now SE PDX! Thank you Nicole and team for making our first visit the most memorable...we shall indubitably see you again soon! Have been to/reviewed over 100+ Oregon breweries and this one was honestly one of the easiest 5 stars I've served up. Available for promo anytime! 🍻 Cheers Best, ~S

Great beer and food continues to improve! An excellent addition to the PDX brewing scene. With the beers being solid, would like to see a continued expansion on available beers, having some consistent beers is great and it would improve to have more seasonal or special releases

This is a fantastic new brewery! They have a wide selection of beer. Their hazy ipa is delicious. We had the steak tacos and a burger. The kids menu also has a large selection. They also serve wine, cider, coffee and tea if your not into beer. The service was friendly. We will defiantly be back

Brought a group of friends to try this new place! Was quite upset at the brew master, there wasn't a beer I didn't love but one only has so much room! The chicken special was top five worthy for fried chicken in PDX! Kasha, our lovely server, was wonderful! We also appreciated the corn hole sitch!

Amazing beer and food love that they let you pick if you want a side or not. The staff is equally amazing. So happy I got a chance to check it out!

This visit could have been a 1 or 2 star but seriously hats off to the manager for making it right. The beers are tasty and service when asked about improved. They are clearly still trying to figure out the correct amount of staff. They were out of a number of items our group was interested in trying- but the manager stepped up to the plate and worked with our group. The food for our group came fast and the women who brought it was awesome (friendly and efficient). I will be back in a month to see if they have worked out the kinks. If you just want a good beer, check it out now!
