"This brewery has two locations, one in Eagle-Vail and another in Vail Village. Both are generally fun places to hang out with interesting seasonal beers, trivia, and live music, but we like each of them for different reasons. The Eagle-Vail location has a better food situation, so after you fail to correctly guess what year gunpowder was invented, you can grab something from the taco truck on the patio. The Vail Village spot has more space, with a tasting room, indoor seating, and a few outdoor fireside options that face Vail Mountain." - Kim Fuller

Google
Great brewery right off I70 in Eagle Vail. I recommend the Vernal Hazy IPA. Tasty and a low IBU.

Love this spot. Best beer and vibe. So relaxed and full of amazing locals. Rocky Mountain taco and their awesome burritos make it the perfect stop on an afternoon in the valley.

Google
Great place to stop after a ski day! Good-sized indoor space with outdoor patio for sunny days. Fun little yurt as well. Rocky Mountain taco food truck is parked outside as well - best tacos in the area. Lots of different beer styles and the Hot Mess is a blonde gluten-reduced. Also have some seltzers.

Google
This is a stop whenever I'm in Vail. They have so many great selections and a delicious taco food truck right outside the entrance. The patio is super cute, and the atmosphere is inviting. I love this place!

Google
Really chill brewery with some great brews on tap. Came here to meet up with friends and family and had a great time relaxing while sipping on beer. Liked one of the IPAs so much I grabbed a 4 pack! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Google
The beer was great at Vail Brewing Co! We went during a really packed day and the girl behind the counter was having no problem keeping up with everyone’s orders. I thought that they way they wrote the beer menu board with all the different fonts and colors was super cute. We will be back!

Google
Really great beers. Almost perfect. Awesome beers and great atmosphere. Brooklyn was a great beer tender. Wish they had a dishwasher. With the traffic it would make me more comfortable. Definitely be back. Get a dishwasher! It's 2021! It's 2022. Still no dishwasher! Drinking out of hand washed glassware makes me sad 😕🤔😀

Google
Great beer and fair prices on filling growlers (much better than the competitor in downtown Avon). The girls said the raspberry cranberry cider was the best cider they had ever had!

Yelp
I love this brewery. Not only is it close by, but the beer is good and there's always a great selection. The beers rotate regularly and they are almost all good. The crew is top notch and friendly. I'm a member of the mug club and really enjoy my time there. They allow dogs and there are frequently more than one there. There is a fire pit outside, next to the food truck which is usually Rocky Mountain Taco. In the winters they sometimes have a large tent so you can sit outside the brewer but still stay warm. I highly recommend this brewery. Maybe I'll see you there!

Yelp
Excellent beers, really appreciate the flights of 4 beers of your choice. My favorite was the Japanese rice ale, light and refreshing. The taco truck food were perfect with the beers.

Tazia C.

Yelp
Dog friendly inside just must follow the totally understandable rules. Great beer! Delicious food truck.

Yelp
This was the other half of our lunch experience after our day at Vail (the other being that Rocky Mountain Taco food truck outside. Upon entry, I noticed a funny smell - can't tell you what exactly it is: not gross, but not altogether pleasant necessarily. I've been to other breweries with on-site beer-making facilities, and I've never noticed a smell like that. No matter ... you walk up to a counter to order and pay; the choices are written on a board behind the counter (they listed 'water' too!). You could try before you buy, but I knew what I wanted. After asking about the two options under "IPA - my kind of beer" (the latter part of that was in my head), I chose one (the hoppier one of course), and I liked what I had: at, what $6 or something like that, it was a good price for a pint. Bathrooms are at the back, to your left.

Julie T.

Yelp
Excellent beer selection and they had a great food truck. We were able to enjoy the afternoon out with our pup.

Alexis L.

Yelp
Beer is fantastic, bartenders are attentive and friendly, and they the locals are fun to talk to. Hands down recommend coming here! And dogs are welcome which is a huge plus!

Gary W.

Yelp
I'm so spoiled to be living in Seattle, WA "Beer Mecca" that I sometimes become apprehensive going to other breweries outside the Pacific Northwest. With VBC I wasn't disappointed and the beer selection is top notch. What a great job of brewing some world class IPA's. The IPA that I kept coming back to was the "SuperNova" and it was really a great IPA that suited my taste the best. Another IPA I really liked was "Passive Aggressive". The atmosphere is laid back Colorado where you can just hang out with the other locals. To top off a great brewery, they have a taco truck, Rocky Mountain Taco outside that hits the spot to have a hike and the a pint and a couple of carne tacos. I can come here every day I'm in Vail; it's that good.

Patrick N.

Yelp
Great spot for locals and tourist willing to venture out from the resort area. Indoor seating, beer only. Food can be purchased right outside from Rocky Mountain Taco food truck. The beer is great, but honestly, the food truck is a real gem as well. Outdoor seating and a heated tent outdoors for even more seating.

Tim F.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a cold one after enjoying a hike or bike ride around Avon! Dogs welcome, but only outside. We all enjoyed our beers and the Tex-Mex food truck (Rocky Mountain Taco, an Avon "thing"). Standard order-at-the-bar service. Not overly busy on a Saturday in June!

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Yum! The beers here are by far my favorite Colorado craft beers. The blonde coffee "morning after" blows my mind! I love coffee and beer but all the coffee beers are a dark heavy stout...except this one. Wow who knew a blonde coffee beer would be so damn good?! It's my fav. The seltzers have been super delicious and I can't wait to see what flavor profile they come up with next. Love the hazy IPA "contact high" as well. You honestly can't go wrong. The beers just have a pizazz and flavor that stands out from other brewers.

William C.

Yelp
Great beer, great vibe. Grab a Rocky Mountain taco and any beer and make a great day!

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Less than 10 minutes from Vail village and away from the crowd (they do have a location by the resort as well). Came here for an afternoon beer after a day of snowboarding, highly recommend! If you want to try some local Vail craft beers this is the place to go. Chill atmosphere and removed enough from all the trousers. As an IPA aficionado I tried the Gore Creek IPA and loved it. There's a local taco truck parked outside with yummy tacos, burritos, and quesadillas as well.

Mike M.

Yelp
Stopped in to try the Hazy (Efflorescence) and were not dissappointed. Very Nice! Grabbed a four pack to take back to Phoenix! Thanks to the bartender, Kevin, great advice for additional stops!!

Amy D.

Yelp
LOVED this place! We were in Beaver Creek a couple weekends ago and made a point to stop at the VBC. Colton, the bartender, was super helpful and nice. I started with a flight of 6 tasters and while they were all great (I liked the Blueberry Hipster Shake IPA and Candy Bar Porter more than I thought I would), my favorite would have to be the Beautiful Chaos, a hazy IPA. A good amount of space inside and outside the bar and there was a taco truck as well, though we didn't nosh. Looked tasty though. Would definitely head back - this place (and their beer) was awesome.

Lauren N.

Yelp
We had SO much fun at VBC! Live music, and outdoor patio watching the sun drop behind the mountains, and nice people. Mix that with diverse and DELICIOUS beer.. that's a win! We loved this place. Easiest the best night of our vail vaca. Keep it up VBC!

Carleigh H.

Yelp
On my last visit to Colorado to see my little brother in September and attend his wedding, he had us meet him here right after he got off of work. I was excited because frankly breweries just do it for me. Especially ones in Colorado! Their beer selection was nice. Beautiful indoor decor (very Colorado aka woody). There was a taco food truck outside which my bro said was awesome, but we had just slurped down a huge bowl of ramen before we got there. Sitting outside at the Vail Brewing Co. was so beautiful. It was Fall and there were lots of yellow leaves intertwined in the greenery. Gorgeous blue sunny skies. Great music pumping through the outdoor speakers. Lots of happy smiling faces. The beer I had was wonderful! Apricot Sour...ohhh yum! I'm a sucker for a fruity sour beer. Refreshing! I sure hope I get to go back to VBC one day and sample some more goodness. Ahhhh...paradise!

Brandon N.

Yelp
Always a sucker for a brewery. Did not have high hopes for this one when we pulled up and saw it was in a make shift strip mall. I was very wrong. The patio was great and the precautions they were taking were also very good. We each got a flight and I have to say we enjoyed all of the beer here. There was a great taco truck that you could order food from that was equally as good. This does not fit the normal vibe you think you would experience in a resort town brewery. Swag was also great, could not walk away with out buying a hat.

Cliff B.

Yelp
Great outdoor area. Clean and Covid-19 aware. We enjoyed a flight and you can't beat the outdoor views. It's supposed to snow tonight! Early for this time of September!

Claire G.

Yelp
After a long day of throwing my child into an overpriced ski school and then doing approximately six runs before curling up with a book in a lodge to get some quiet time before picking up my exhausted daughter, I like to enjoy a good local brew. Vail Brewing Company (or VBC as the locals call it, I guess) hits the spot. This location is between Vail and Minturn so it was a good meeting point for friends at Vail Mountain and friends skiing the Nordic trails at Maloit. The inside is the standard "mountain town brewery" style of reclaimed wood and old ski paraphernalia. Staff is laid back and friendly - happy to give you a taste of whatever or make recommendations. Beer was very good. My favorite was the Tourist Trap DIPA. They have a Mexican food bus outside with excellent tacos. Also they have a cozy fireplace. It's on the smaller side, but I recommend going for an afternoon beer or two.

Val D.

Yelp
They have great beer and they are super affordable too! Loved the beer tasting set! Will definitely come back :)

Taylor S.

Yelp
A coworker and I coordinated with the Vail Brewing Company to host a voter registration night- and it went so well! We set up a table to host registration services and the bartenders were very friendly and excited. We enjoy awesome IPA's and even better interactions with the locals who visited throughout the evening. Everyone was so fun and friendly. The atmosphere at the Vail Brewing Company is very open and laid back. It's an excellent place to bring a small group of friends. Something very special about this place was that everyone interacted with each other, it's rare nowadays that you can go out to a bar and have a friendly time with strangers but this spot really encourages that type of experience. Great job!

Heather L.

Yelp
VBC has become a staple of my trips to Vail! I'd like to say that they've gotten better over the years, but they were killing it on day one and I'm not sure what they could improve on. There are always a wide variety of tasty brews. The servers are always friendly and responsive. I only visit Vail once a year, but the returning servers always welcome me back! The taco truck in the parking lot is an added bonus. It's super tasty!

Mi M.

Yelp
I like this place. Good beer. Please don't use fabuloso, it burns my sinuses

Todd H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in the entire world. The beer is great, the atmosphere is just what you'd want in a mountain town & Rocky Tacos. What more could you want?

Kristine R.

Yelp
Terrible service. Brunette bartender barely greeted us and seemed put out by my question " hey, how's your day going?" Note, there were 5 other patrons at the time. You pour beer. Buck up lil camper, your job can't be that stressful. Oh, the beer (the one we had due to crappy service) was decent.

Rick M.

Yelp
Awesome brewery in EagleVail. Great indoor and outdoor space. Giant Jenga! Gore Creek IPA was fantastic...family friendly with terrific outdoor space.

John H.

Yelp
The only problem with this place was that they did not have more room and I could not stay there longer. Got a sample of ever beer they had on tap and loved everyone but the sour, but that's my problem. If I'm that way again I'll do the same five stars.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Rockin' place just outside of Vail! Hubs enjoyed his brew and for a few dollars less than for what its sold for at the VBC in Vail Village. We came around 7:00 on a Thursday night and it was standing room only for some really awesome live music. They also had a food truck outside. This may be one of the best deals in Vail for food and entertainment. (That's probably why it was so busy!) They have a few tables outside but it looks like VBC could possibly do for some expanding! This pregnant lady needed a seat and there were none to be found. I don't know if it's always that busy but that's wonderful. There is also a cornhole set outside that was getting quite a bit of action when we were there as well. Definitely stop by this gem if you're in the area!

Nina M.

Yelp
Great beers and an awesome food truck. Our server was excellent! One request I would make to the owners though: My husband and I were sitting at the bar and we watched the poor bartender juggle between serving customers and washing a mountain of glasses- by hand!! Please invest in a dishwasher machine for your employees- it's 2022!

Andrea S.

Yelp
The beertender ignored us at first and was then really rude when we went to order. We felt really unwelcome.

Holley S.

Yelp
Loved this spot. The owners were so great and gave us a little tour. Taco truck is incredible and guys there were super nice to our party as well. Epic variety of beers and all tasted amazing. We loved the flights. Would give this place 5 stars for the stellar setting and good selection of beers but the two bartenders behind the bar that afternoon/ evening were incredibly cold, rude and very uninterested in serving us. It felt like we were bothering them when selecting our beer or purchasing merchandise etc. Had they been more friendly to us this place would be 5 starts for us. You should definitely check out if in the area.

Shayn L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer to help myself relax after driving thru the mountains for the first time ever. This little brewery was a perfect stop. It was a cool, clean little place with a beautiful view of the mountains. All at like 11,500 ft elevation. The bartendar was very friendly as I tried several different beers and asked questions about their beers. Beer was very tasty!!! I even bought some beer to bring home. Worth a stop if passing by, but call and figure out a way to avoid paying for parking in thier underground garage because it is expensive. There are kind of in a small shopping complex area.

Lexi P.

Yelp
Had a terrible experience here. Interacted with a bartender/server named Brooklyn I think. She was cold to me and the people I was there with. Treated us disrespectfully and refused to serve a member of my party even when they showed her ID. The only thing that made this experience worthwhile was the tacos outside.

Holly L.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by Vail Brewing Company on our trip, and it was our favorite brewery of the four we went to. Each of us tried a flight of six beers, and we all enjoyed them. There is a great variety among the 12 beers on tap, and I enjoyed the mix of their takes on classics and fun variations. The hazy IPA was one of my favorites! The brewery also boasted a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We didn't get to try the taco truck, but the woman pouring pulled out a bunch of menus for us to order delivery - and then answered all my beer questions! Overall, we loved VBC and recommend popping in!

Kerry S.

Yelp
We stop here whenever we are around Vail, like today while driving back to Denver from Grand Junction. Friendly, great beer that you can also get in small taster sizes. The beers are varied. They usually have a food truck outside if you need to munch. It's next to a marijuana dispensary, but so are most things in Eagle/Vail area these days so I'll give a pass on that downside. Bathroom. The bathroom area is Brewery-industrial with a super water faucet and polished concrete sink and two separate bathroom stalls. Unisex. Very clean. And, if you've been out and about and it's hot, it is so refreshing to splash water on your face from the gushing faucet.

M C.

Yelp
The beer was ok, I guess it's the hazard of business in Vail, all of the beer was overpriced in my opinion. Our beer tender was pretty lame. We go to a lot of breweries and they're usually into asking what kind of beer we like or talking about the brewery or local breweries, but this chic was more interested in looking at her phone than talking to us. I mean if you're in vail and want some beer, go for it. But it's not the experience we've become used to at breweries.

Dave O.

Yelp
Garrett, James, Sarah, Colton, and everyone else that busts their tail ends to make this very local quality brewing stop in Eagle County a gem is worth mentioning. Now to the food, taco shop has dialed things in the past year and sticks around to help with food needs. That works out GREAT, and they are really nice people. Have a beer, and make sure to try the tacos too. To the contribution, these guys try hard to do what is right, and do it with integrity. There is little bullshit or dishonesty with any of these hard working and serving folks. Its what it is, and no run arounds. They do local harvested hop beers, buy local ingredients when it makes sense (both seasonally and monetarily), and produce some of the finest quality and true to style beers you can find in the mountains. Thanks for being hard working, business minded, quality producing brewery and beer heads.

Greg N.

Yelp
Absolutely One Of The Gems Of Vail. Amazing Beer & atmosphere - but truly the only reason to go there is the bartender Lindsey! She rocks - we had such a blast because of her attitude, personality and suggestions as well as attentiveness. She is a PLUS 2+ factor - meaning? She can take any 3-star place to 5 simply by showing up!

Tom C.

Yelp
Great beer selection. Dogs are allowed, but only outside in the patio area. Service was very good.

Alice S.

Yelp
Atmosphere was great, beer was good. Everything was fine with the brewery-unfortunately couldn't find another place to review Gabe the trivia guy, so here it is... Came for trivia tonight with a group. This guy was a huge asshole, and not in a laughable way. Dude, if you have a public platform, please don't tell a crowd that if they didn't vote for Trump it's because they live off their parents' teets and don't have a job and fuck Hillary etc. etc. FYI we are hard working people who didn't vote for Trump simply because he does not give a fuck about equal human rights. Came for a good time with friends of different races/sexual identities, but won't be returning. There are other trivia hosts in the valley, here's hoping VBC will look elsewhere. Multiple people I talked to tonight emphasized that this guy was ostracizing himself in a completely obnoxious way and that they probably wouldn't be back. It's 2017, I think we can do better than this y'all.

Tiffani E.

Yelp
First time in Vail, CO yelped the taco stand outside. Went into the brewery to try a few beers. Comfortable and quaint atmosphere although the bartender was more interested in talking to two of the male clientele than worrying about the other customers. Both times my fiancé and I tried to ordered we felt like it was intruding to her conversation and that was more important than taking our ordering. I noticed another couple talking saying the same thing. Other than that it was nice and off the tourist path.

Carole W.

Yelp
Fun spot to have a great beer. I really like their IPA. Fun atmosphere and really friendly bartender.

Christopher B.

Yelp
This was a very pleasant surprise. Someone mentioned it's the best beer in the area and that is hard to argue. Everything we tried was really good. They had a bluegrass band playing the night we were there so it went from a relatively quiet evening to quite a lively one. It's definitely one of those breweries that is under the radar and one I hope to hit the next time I am around the area!

Andy A.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by for a few beers at 6:00 pm on 2/5. The place was crowded and two bartenders were working. We grabbed a high top near the bar where the three of us could sit and chat. We approached the bar and said "Hello". Neither bartender acknowledged our "hello" or even made eye contact. We waited at the bar for 10 minutes and finally the male bartender asked what we wanted. After our first round, we approached the bar again and I asked for a sample. He poured the sample and placed it on the bar in front of me, never making eye contact and walked away. He came back a minute later and I re-ordered the first beer that I had. Not once did the staff engage. The perception we got was "I cant get fired, they are so short staffed, I will get to you when I have time." The staff runs the asylum in this place. Frustrating part was the beer was good.

D C.

Yelp
The quality of the beer is fantastic. Check out their awards on the wall. Great selection of beers and always bringing out new flavors. As a local we are here often. Great taco truck out front. Lots of breweries around, this one is the one to go to.

Brad K.

Yelp
Great place has live music and a taco truck out front! The beer is great a d the indoor brewing garage vibe is really fun. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the area

Sam P.

Yelp
This place was awesome. Great beers, food truck and vibes after a hard day skiing. Can sit by the fire and recount the day's runs, falls, and full sends.

Amy M.

Yelp
The best brewery in Vail area. Taco truck and the best bands around. Beers are the best. Staff wonderful friendly. Check out this gem after skiing or hiking.

Jesse K.

Yelp
Cool spot on Colorado Hwy 6. Stopped by for a couple pints with the wife and really enjoyed the beer and the people. One of the head brewers was running the bar and seemed really down to earth. The GrapefruitGore IPA was delicious and dangerously easy to drink. They have a cool taco truck onsite with a rad menu. Check'em out!
