Google
Nice and clean Indian restaurant! We went with a group of friends and had a great time. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I really liked the food. As you can see in the photos we ordered a nice variety. Everything was delicious.

Google
Good Indian takeaway. I recommend the dal tadka with basmati rice. Staff was really helpful to a first-time customer :) I will be back!

Google
Lamb Curry (mild) and Garlic Naan for takeout. Great flavors and perfect amount of spice for a wimp like me. One dish was enough for two meals (~$15 person). Staff was very kind and gave updates on my takeout order. Definitely will be ordering again!

Google
Best Indian food in Boston and super nice little restaurant with good service, have been going for a few years but after today, no more. According to our server the owner keeps all the tips, whether it’s on card or cash. we had to Venmo the server to make sure she got her tip. owner was not working or even on the premises at the time so there is absolutely no situation where this would be legal. Food is awesome but the owner stealing the tips is absolutely disgusting :(

Google
This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Boston. Usually DoorDash it and it’s always consistent. Came in and ate it fresh today and it wws SO good! Everything is so fresh and flavorful. Have tried many Indian places in Boston, all good- this is the best.

Google
This is my favorite Indian food restaurant in Boston!! Staff is always SO friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is usually never crowded because a lot of people order delivery. Perfect place to sit down for a warm meal during those cold Boston winters ❄️

Google
Second time here! The chef was really cool, coming out to speak with us. We got garlic cheese naan, mango chicken, and tandoori mixed grill. This place really know how to cook their meats! Juicy and definitely not overcooked. ============= The food was SO good my god!!!! I loved the baingan bharta - smoky, luxurious feel. The portions were good too! I definitely will be back.

Google
All-around excellent restaurant: nailed the spiciness level, very tasty, and came out hot. Generous portions and friendly, attentive service. Definitely going back.

Yelp
Long overdue review, as I've ordered from here close to ten times now, and consistently they've been amazing. Paula Deen says we eat with our eyes first -- and that's probably even more true when we order delivery, in my case, today from Uber Eats. If you receive a well-packaged order where the containers are absolutely overflowing the moment you open them, your restaurant did you right in the portions department -- what you see in the picture attached is AFTER I ate to my heart's content (and believe me, I was ravenous about 20 minutes before that picture was taken). Being Indian I have extremely high standards for Indian food, and most of the places here in Boston are god-awful because Americans generally don't know any better -- so when I order from a place and request extra spicy (and they see a name like mine), they better oblige me or else they're going into the "only when I'm starving/nothing else is open" bin on the UE app. I got what I wanted when I asked Vaisakhi to make my lamb korma and chicken tikka masala extra spicy, so, MASSIVE kudos to them for acknowledging my request. Finally -- give their veggie pakoras a try. These are gifts from heaven, and the imli/mint chatnis they sent complimented them perfectly. Us Indians sure do love sweet/strong masala chai and crispy pakoras on rainy/snowy/cold days (and today we had a rare April snowy day here in Boston), and the ones you see in the picture rival my mothers, though we won't tell her I said that.

Yelp
Service was friendly. Menu was full and exciting, but... taste was only okay. Two of us shared a lamb dish, a shrimp dish, and a samosa chat. Portions were satisfactory (although more rice could've been given to us to accompany our two main dishes so that we didn't have to request additional rice, which came in an unnecessarily huge and ultimately wasted portion and was at an additional price of $5.50 for just... white rice). Presentation was lovely. Again: something lacking in the taste. The electronic bell that rings whenever the front door opens - especially what with all the food deliverers coming constantly for pick-up - was unwelcome background noise for in-house diners.

Yelp
My friend and I came by on a Friday night for dinner and were seated immediately. We ordered the Chicken Fried Momo, Aloo Gobi, Lamb Tikka Masala, Bread Basket, Strawberry and Mango Lassi. The food all came out in a reasonable time and the portions were average. I enjoyed the variety present in the bread basket as it came with various naans. I was a bit disappointed as some felt overly burnt and charred on the bottom. The Aloo Gobi tasted like it could use some more flavor although I did enjoy how soft and tender the vegetables were. The Lamb Tikka Masala tasted fine and had enough flavor. I most enjoyed the Lassis as they were smooth and flavorful. I was really disappointed with the Chicken Fried Momo. They tasted dry and hard like they were frozen. The seasoning sprinkled over them felt overwhelming to taste and did not help with the already present dryness. Overall, the food felt average, and the portions were alright.

Yelp
Friendly Service at the counter. I ordered mulligatani soup as well as peshawari naan. It was ok, not great. Prices seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, no lunch specials.

Yelp
If you're looking for a strong, local Indian spot, this is the place to go! This is truly a hidden gem resting right off Comm Ave. We went for dinner on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables. It looks like an unassuming restaurant and looks very casual and the menu is extremely extensive! I was under the impression that they more commonly do takeout as there were so many takeout orders. For food, we ordered Chicken Chili Momos, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, Goat Biryani, lots of Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, and some Mango Lassi. Everything was delicious. I was a little hesitant to get the Momos because of my last experience with them, but these did not disappoint! The filling was full of spices and the skin was the perfect texture. It came with a sweet sauce that balanced well with the hot Momo. Chicken Tikka Masala was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet, and the tomato flavors really came out. The consistency of the sauce was perfect for eating with rice and the naan. The chicken was soft and not too tough and in delectable bite-sized chunks. Lamb Vindaloo was on the spicier side and the spices balanced so well and it was extremely aromatic. You can tell from the texture of the sauce that they used fresh ingredients and the lamb was not too gamey. With biryanis, I'm always worried that they are going to skimp out on the meat but Vaisakhi did not do that! There were a ton of delicious goat pieces in the biryani and I was extremely happy with it. Tandoori Chicken was unfortunately a little disappointing compared to the rest of the dishes. The presentation was beautiful but the actual chicken was a little dry. However, the spices on the chicken were seasoned so well! Garlic Naan was so good that we ordered 3 servings of it! By the way it comes out, you can tell how fresh it is and that it's cooked authentically. It was the perfect thickness and texture and the garlic wasn't overwhelming. The only downside to this meal would be the Mango Lassi. It tasted a little bit too much like yogurt and I think they just poured it from a jug that they bought. Overall, I was extremely happy with my meal here! It definitely ranks in my top 3 Indian restaurants in Boston. Plus, it's super accessible by T! I'll be back!

Yelp
Super delicious and wide variety of Punjabi food! They have chicken, lamb, vegetarian, and seafood dishes and they are all amazing and super unique! If you are new to Indian food, you must try Malai Kofta and Butter Chicken! Super friendly and not spicy options! Also I recommend mango lassi which is a mango yogurt drink but if you are lactose intol this is dangerousss!! Butter Chicken - 8/10 Tomato based chicken curry and the chicken was super moist and juicy! I love the tomato base but a little too tomato-y and I wished it was more buttery Lamb Korma - 10/10 Our favorite !! The lamb was so tender and soft and melts in your mouth! Flavor of the curry was super flavorful! Malai Kofta - 10/10 This is vegetarian and the "meatballs" we're pact with flavor and I can't even tell it wasn't meat! Definitely makes you feel good and healthy! Garlic bread - 9/10 I love the finely minced garlic and butter but I wished the bread was a littleeeee bit thicker Tandoori mixed grill plate - 5/10 Everything was super toasty but the chicken was so dry and big piece too! They had lamb and a piece of shrimp in there but overall not worth it I would pass on this Also they gave us a free thing of pulao rice!!! Amazing service and wide variety of options for all dietary restrictions! Overall, everything was delicious and I have absolutely no complaints ! :)

Yelp
The place is clean, colorful, and is welcoming. With nice booth seating it allows for that extra comfort to dine out as opposed to a quick dining experience. Lamb was deliciously tender and my dad's chicken korma came out great. Samosas were perfect. The staff were friendly and helped me with the menu. Garlic naan was absolutely fantastic!

Yelp
I love this place so much, it's probably one of my all time favorite restaurants in Boston. It's right next to my house and has some of the crispiest, best samosas in the area. I come here all the time and it's always perfect.

Yelp
Wonderful place filled with great people and great food. It never fails me! It's BYOB after 5pm so we usually grab a beer at chanskys and put in an order and sip while we wait. They are also very quick with taking orders and bringing food out. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Great food and friendly employees! So glad I found this spot. It's my go to spot to get Indian food in the area.

Yelp
Really good experience here. Great ambiance, friendly, fast service, and exceptional food especially for the price. Everything we tried was delicious and a notch up from what I'm accustomed to. Feels like they go out of their way for a high quality experience here which is rare and lovely to see in a restaurant as accessible as this one.

Yelp
This place crept up on Doordash, so with the good reviews I figured why not try them. Ordered Parathas, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Paneer Tikka (by accident, actually meant to order Paneer Tikka Masala). Paneer Tikka isn't my thing, so it was good for what it was though. Sauteed onions and bell peppers came with it, which were good. The Parathas were huge! And fresh! I think part of it had to do with the Doordash delivery person since he arrived fairly quickly, but it was still piping hot when I received them. The Lamb Rogan Josh had great flavor, the lamb wasn't overcooked like every other indian restaurant tends to do for some reason. Great first impression, we'll see how my future orders go, definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Great food. Really enjoyed the samosas as well as mango lassi. Take out was just as good as the dining in and the portions were great. I recommend the garlic naan as well.

Yelp
Really sad to be writing this, as we have loved the food here since we moved to the area three years ago. Last night we ordered delivery. Three curries plus a biryani and naan (all came with 1 big, 1 small rice). The delivery containers were rather small. We only received four kofta balls, and three chunks of chicken in our vindaloo (the rest was potato). I did not count the chunks of paneer but it was not generous. We were planning on two dinners; we got enough for two dinners and a rice-based leftover lunch but that's it. The cost, before tipping the delivery guy, was $73. I am happy to pay for quality and quantity, but this feels a little bit like we got ripped off. When we dine in, the leftovers fill the same containers that encompassed our entire delivery last night. I will try somewhere else for delivery next time.

Yelp
Great food, byob with a liquor store with good prices next door. My favorite Indian place I've had since living in the area!

Yelp
If you are missing the taste of Indian food and the love and care of an Indian family, then look no further! Vaisakhi Indian Kitchen gave me the best Diwali I've had since I've lived in Boston. The food was spectacular, well flavored and well-portioned while the owner (Arvind Bhai) and his family went above and beyond to meet the needs and requests of me and my guests. Simply put- GO EAT HERE! For reference: we got the palak paneer, Rogan josh, Dal Makhni, Chicken Biryani, Bhel poori and some naans (garlic, onion & tandoori) Not pictured, but deeply treasured- They even prepared their own homemade Diwali sweets that they carefully packaged and gave us to take home as gifts

Yelp
SO good! Definitely hoping to come back here the next time I'm in the Boston area. We came at sort of an awkward time, around 4:30 or so, so we were the only ones in the restaurant and service was quite fast as anticipated. I really appreciate the service here, as the lady that took my order was super nice and the kitchen was able to accommodate my nut allergy when ordering the Malai Kofta. We got the Palak Paneer and Malai Kofta, and both were FANTASTIC. Would definitely recommend them, both were so flavorful + well made (far better than most Indian restaurants I've tried in my part of LA). Their rice was pretty standard, and the garlic naan was super tasty as well! Did not skimp on the garlic. I see a few other reviews complain about portion sizes for meat dishes, but the vegetarian options were all perfectly sized IMO! Interior was cute! Not much to say about it but it was nice to be in + clean. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Should seriously consider their food option. The chef is not a big believer of having consistent taste.

Yelp
3/19/22: Just called to confirm that they are still legal BYOB (very rare in Boston, see my earlier review for the legalities). Mayor Michelle Wu, given your BYOB law was an abject failure at promoting the restaurant business in Boston, please revise it (Philly is the proper model to go by).
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
READ YOUR SLIPS. First time this happened I let it go. Restaurant claimed to not have not seen the chutneys on the slip . SECOND time this has happened . Not even going to call in for another story . I wrote TWO notes on the items ordered for chutney . Once again NONE sent . 2 stars for having great Indian food but how hard is it to throw chutneys in the bag? Every other Indian restaurant in Metro Boston adds soufflé cups of onion and mint chutney WITHOUT having to ask...

Yelp
Ordered take out from here, so can't speak to the eat-in experience. I had the mixed tandoori, seekh kabob, chicken pakoras, naan, aloo paratha, tadka dal, lamb korma and butter chicken. In general, I'd describe the food as "fine" - there was nothing wrong with any of the dishes, but they weren't particularly memorable. The tandoori was reasonably seasoned. The chicken pakoras were larger than I expected, with a thick, crispy crust, but could pass for chicken tenders from a non-Indian restaurant. The naan were thicker than I expected and lacked the typical texture. The aloo paratha was not too greasy, but a bit under-flavored. I appreciated that the butter chicken and lamb korma were not too oily; they were tasty but under-seasoned. These would have been better with twice the amount of spice. The dal was similar. Overall, it was fine and would be great for someone with limited spice tolerance, but this may not be the right place for someone who likes strongly-flavored Indian food.

Hui Boon W.

Yelp
Love the restaurant, clean and bright . It does not have a very strong smell of spices that might put people off if this is the first time to an Indian restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh ingredients, good variety n the spice level was perfect for the guests we brought. For some of our guests , this was their first time they have been to an Indian restaurant. They r happy to go back to try more dishes.

Yelp
New review based on dine-in. Service: We went in as a group of 8, reasonable size to be managed and there were just few other couples in the restaurant on a Saturday night. The servers are friendly, but would have liked it better if they could get our orders in a timely fashion. The group was a mix of vegetarians and non-vegetarians. We got veg appetizers first, after a good 15mins got the non-veg appetizers, meanwhile the veg main-course curries came in, minus the naans. Then the non-veg curries came in and in the end the naans. In short, service could have been better. Food: Panner tikka, tandoori tikka as appetizers were great!nice sizzlers. Veg pakoras, papri chaat, tandoori shrimp as appetizers were ok, nothing wow about them. Paneer burji, Rogan Josh, chicken do pyaza were really good for main course. Mix subzhi, kheema mutter were ok. Overall food is good, bit pricey for the quantity served compared to most other indian restaurants in Boston. Dine-in service can be improved.

Yelp
BOMB FOODDDD, I really enjoyed the garlic naan and the butter chicken. Samosa were very crispy, this was the 2nd time I have ever had Indian food.

Yelp
I ordered from this place via DoorDash on Thanksgiving Day because it looked like they were open. The order was confirmed, but when I stopped by in person it turned out they were closed for the holiday and I wasn't able to get my food. I went back the next day to follow up, and they were extremely gracious about it. They gave me the food I had ordered and even threw in a delicious yogurt soup! I really appreciate how easy it was to get everything cleared up. I live down the street and order from here often, and I will definitely do so again. The butter chicken is scrumptious!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is the best Indian in Boston, hands down. The owner and his staff are so welcoming and helpful. My friend wasn't sure what to get and they recommended the Chicken Korma, which was DELICIOUS. We got that, Dhabha Chicken, and Garlic Naan and they were all fantastic. The chicken is plentiful and juicy in each dish. The portions are pretty big too, we definitely could have shared 1 dish between 2 people. I will say, the spice levels seem to be Americanized because we didn't feel like the medium was spicy at all. They also gave us a cute little pack of desserts for Diwali before we left! This is definitely going to become a go-to, high quality, great service, and great prices!

Jordan R.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I love it. Butter chicken is my favorite and I'll only order from here!

Madeline S.

Yelp
Used to dine here a lot (take out) was our favorite place. Tonight's order - awful. Overcooked chicken. Tikka masala sauce changed. Raw dough in the naan. Chutneys have changed recipes- not good. Samosas, bland. I'm feeling pretty sick now.... Not the same. I wonder if new ownership. Such a pity, we used to love it. Frequented before and during the pandemic. One thing that was still tasty: palak paneer. Everything else was a let down...
google avatar

Proud OF M.

Yelp
**AVOID ALERT UPDATE" tandoori" shrimp. They were small count (8 total), boiled, and then grilled. Just threw masala/salt, was inedible. Nothing tandoori about it, just tossed in some gravy and served it. This is after they f*cked up the original order with chicken which I did not order. Prices are SUPER high at this place, and they are not worth it. TRUST ME, please save your $. Other Indian places (some) try harder. Sometimes their food is on point, but it's not worth the risk. Front of house and people are nice, but that's not what this is about.
google avatar

Krittika W.

Yelp
Realllllly good Chicken tikka Masala and Baigan ka bharta!! By far the best Indian food I've had in this area. They are doing pick ups and delivery through the pandemic and when I went to pick up everyone had masks and glov

Yelp
So after two consecutive weak meals from our now former go to Indian restaurant we have definitely found our new go to Indian restaurant. Let's start with the Pros: Deliciously fresh and savory food. From apps, mains and bread the food had the proper balance of flavors, pop and subtlety. For apps we had vegetable samosas and aloo tikki. The mains were Lamb vindaloo, lamb saag and shrimp masala, Plain naan and garlic naan. The mains were generous portions and each sauce had wonderful flavor profiles with the right level of slow burn heat. The naans were also huge, light and fluffy. The apps were also fresh and yummy but each order only came with 2 items when so many other places give you 3 pakoras, samosas or alloo tikis. Cons: small app portions. The small app portions are why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Prices here are standard for $$ Boston Indian, but the freshness, flavors and portion size support a 4 star rating.

Steve E.

Yelp
I don't understand the negative reviews here - they seem a little nitpicky to me. We have been regular customers since they opened, and probably have ordered 15 or more times, always delivered, because we live nearby. The essential quality of the food at Vaisakhi and the skill of the kitchen put this little restaurant well above many of the better-known places in town. I always use stomach reactions as a good gauge of the quality of the oil in an Indian restaurant. I 've had unpleasant reactions elsewhere, but never from Vaisakhi's food. My wife and I particularly recommend the veg dishes - the grilled marinated cheese (paneer tlkka) and cauliflower / potatoes (aloo gobi) are among our faves. On the other hand, I also found the lamb dishes very tender and well-spiced - the rogan josh and lamb korma were both excellent. You always get generous portions of rice, too. Are there any downsides? Well, I don't think their stuffed breads are particularly strong, but their plain naan is as good as any. If you order delivery, I recommend GrubHub above the other services that deliver from Vaisakhi.

Yelp
Vaisakhi is the breath of fresh air that the restaurant scene in this little corner of Brighton and all of Cleveland Circle needs. Finally a sit down, casual Indian place that's reasonably priced and doesn't require half an hour each way on the T to get to! Even on their first day open, their food is better than several of the Indian restaurants in the Boston area that I've eaten at. Tucked away across from the Sutherland Road T stop, you can follow your nose to the doorstep of the restaurant. The interior tastefully restrained, bright colors and some simple paintings above the booths. The space is small, but not cramped and the booth seating at least was very comfortable. The three gentlemen who own/run the front of the house are eager to please. We were seated right away and given water and menus. The menu is comprehensive without being too large and confusing. The vegetarian, and meat sections are both equally sized, so there's plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My wife and I started out with the vegetable pakoras. These little fritters of batter and veggies were served hot, with a little bit of salty spice powder and dipping sauces. The crunchy shell pairs nicely with the soft veggies inside and tastes amazing when you put a bit of the red onion chutney on it. For our main course we ordered the saag paneer and the dal makhani, two of our favorite vegetarian dishes in Indian cuisine. The dal makhani was subtle, not overly spiced and not overly rich like many I've had. The lentils weren't rock hard or cooked into mush. The star of the show was definitely the saag paneer though. The saag was so wonderfully rich and smooth and spiced perfectly, and the paneer was the perfect texture, not too soft and mushy and now dry and crumbly. We decided to leave room for some desert and tried both the gulab jamun and the kheer. The kheer was a bit under seasoned for my taste, not enough rose water or cardamom and a bit on this thin side, but it served as a nice palate cleanser. The gulab jamun was excellent, the syrup not too sweet or floral and the balls had a nice subtle flavor to them as well. I'm lucky enough to live right around the corner from Vaisakhi, but I would gladly travel a lot further for this food.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed my meal. Maybe that's why I'm so disappointed with their service this time. I used uber eats to order my favorite kulcha and naan and they were completely burnt and uneatable when I received them. I gave them the benefit of doubt and called them to complain abt the bread and they offered to replace the kulchas and naan (which btw I still haven't received ). The 2 stars are for the sweet girl on the phone even though she didn't end up keeping her end of the bargain. A complete waste of a Sunday meal!
google avatar

Chantel J.

Yelp
This place is BYOB!! Which is amazing. I got the lamb saag and it was flavorful , perfect amount of spice and lamb was tender. We got the tandoori wings which were amazing, super juice and just really well cooked. Definitely coming back and the pricing was good. We paid $70 for 4 people with an app and dinner.

Yelp
I've been waiting to try this restaurant for months and was so excited when it finally opened! Happy to say, the wait was well worth it!! The staff was very nice and attentive throughout the entire meal. I started off with an order of the vegetarian samosas. The order comes with 2 samosas and they were nice and hot when I bit into the first one. For my main meal, I ordered chicken tikka masala and tandoori roti. The tikka masala comes with a heaping bowl of basmati rice and everything tasted really fresh and delicious. The only reason I took a star off is because a couple of the chicken pieces were VERY hard/chewy and I ended up having to spit them out...not sure if they were just really fatty pieces, slightly undercooked, etc. That being said, I'll definitely be back to give it another shot!

Lily H.

Yelp
My friend and I shared the chicken korma and the dhabha chicken, and both were spectacular! The portions were very generous, with plenty of meat. The service was incredible as well. The servers were very attentive and welcoming. Even though it's a bit far from my apartment, I'm looking forward to returning asap!

Yelp
We were staying at the AC hotel 1/2 mile away. Ordered dinner for 3 people, checked the silverware box and wrote a note to include silverware. Despite the notification they did not put in any silverware. I called the restaurant and since it was close asked if they could drop some off. They refused and said they were busy. Hard to give a restaurant a good rating when you have no utensils to eat the food.

Yelp
Just moved to Brookline from NYC, which meant I had to move away from my favorite Indian restaurant. I was really doubtful that I would find a restaurant that matched the one I always went to in Queens (which took me 2 years of living there and trying a million different restaurants to find), but I had a craving for Indian one night so I decided to order some delivery from Vaisakhi. I am so very glad I did because everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ordered the samosa chaat, which was really savory and chocked full of chickpeas. We also had chicken tikka masala (very flavorful and thick sauce) and a mashed eggplant dish that I can't remember the name of but it started with a B (my boyfriend declared that this dish was "his new favorite Indian dish"). The garlic naan was very solid but maybe not the best I've ever had. Our order came with large portion sizes, pappadum, chutneys and a big container of rice. It arrived to our apartment a bit earlier than expected which was great. I will definitely be ordering from here again and will try to make it into the restaurant for a sit down meal.

Yelp
Really good Indian food. Some of the best inexpensive Indian around. The black lentil stew was good as were the grilled meats.
google avatar

Aku S.

Yelp
I'm giving 2 starts because the the service was pretty fast. But no taste at all on any of the items that I tried. After I took a bite of aaloo paratha, I knew other items wouldn't be as good. Also goat biryani? Like nothing close to. Biryani. Might need to update the chef sorry guys.

Raj S.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews but I don't want you to be disappointed. This costs 13 bucks but tastes like shit, not just this but everything I ordered was below average. I would rather go some other Indian place.

Yelp
Of the several very good Indian restaurants across Boston, Vaisakhi stands out as my favorite. In our most recent visit, we ordered the fish pakora, chicken korma, baingan bharta, and garlic naan. Every aspect of this meal was practically perfection--the fish just the right texture and moisture with peppery seasoning; the korma full-flavored and creamy, the okra caramelized and delectable, the naan packed with garlic. Couple that with outstanding, enthusiastic service, and you have a real winner. The location is great for me personally, but I suspect its comparative remoteness is the main reason lines aren't out the door--this is a hidden gem that deserves your business and then some.

Yelp
This will definitely satisfy your Indian food craving! Pakoras and samosas are delicious and the rice and saag and tikka masala were all so good. I was sad to be full. Try here, you will be happy.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service! We've ordered multiple times from this restaurant and they've always delivered. Would continue to be a patron. Try the Chilly Chicken if you like your food spicy!

Yelp
What a gem. Don't be fooled by the size, it's a must. I ordered out with my husband and my mother and was surprised by the great pricing. I got the tandoori mixed grill which was shrimp, chicken, and another type of meat. The rice was a bit dry but not awful. The chutney that came with it was just the right touch and so were the other dipping sauces. Do yourself a favor and order extra garlic naan. Yum. But my favorite by far was the naan that had coconut in it. Holy cow. Wow.

Yelp
My updated review: I am so happy to have this restaurant in my Brighton neighborhood. My new favorites are Malai Kafta and Chili Paneer!

Yelp
Solid Indian food here. I'm picky when it comes to my saag paneer, and this is the best I've found in the Allston-Brighton area. Delivery is fast, and quality is consistent.

Yelp
As soon as you step in you get the vibrant Punjabi vibes. You're greeted very warmly and I appreciate that. I ordered a takeout because I went alone that day and didn't want a sit down dining experience that Sunday night. The restaurant was empty. But i noticed it had many online and take out orders coming in. I also received a complimentary mango lassi. The food came out after a short wait. I went for vegetarian today and so experimented with the usual Punjabi fare - vegetable pakoras, paneer Tikka masala and the tandoori roti. Everything was more than well portioned and authentic. All the dishes I tried were tasty and felt homemade. They're doing a great job here and I'm sure some of the bad reviews were one offs. I'm glad I tried it. It is really hard to find a good Indian restaurant in this area of Boston. Vaishaki, please keep serving the great food you do. Something to note. It allows guests to bring their own beer.
