Fish was excellent, but the appetizers were a bit salty. Wonderful atmosphere and very nice to sit outside as long as the weather is nice. Waiter service was excellent. Recommend to go!

Something was just odd about this place. The food was good but not great. Service was attentive to the point of being smothering. The food that was pushed by the server wasn’t great. We had the zucchini blossoms and octopus to start. Neither were inspired. The server said the octopus was on fava beans when it was on chickpeas. He pushed the egg ravioli which too wasn’t inspired. It was rich and was drowning in the sauce. Overall not great.

Tuna steak 11/10. Incredible. Super light meal. Yet it’s still steak! Short rip ravioli 8/10 savory and delicious Volcano role 10/10 Tokyo roll 9/10

Google
Valbella at the park is an excellent restaurant 10/10, I have a wonderful dining experience every time I dine here. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a very friendly and welcoming hostess that will send you upstairs to be seated. The waiters are excellent, they make sure you get the best experience and are at your service the whole time you are there. The managers also walk around and check on you, to make sure you are being very well taken care of, which I LOVE!!!!!! You get the choice of dining inside or outside on the rooftop, both areas are perfect to be in. I DEFINITELY recommend coming to Valbella at the park to enjoy the amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, and the wonderful staff!!!!

My sister made reservations for us to have a last family dinner and Broadway show before headed home, and we weren't disappointed The atmosphere is so beautiful, and from most places in the dining area, you get a view of the buildings across and it's quite lovely. Loved how they used wine cellar as partitions/wall decor Our server was great. It's always fun to engage in banter while receiving attentive service. At first he came across as a little cold, but warmed up and cracked jokes by the end of our dinner He also made a great recommendation for dessert, Napoleon (Mille fille check spelling) which is a light layered dessert with cream. Overall, the atmosphere, food and service were all good.

Google
TOP NOTCH restaurant! The food is to die for, always spot on and drink selection is amazing. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff and even the owner are always so welcoming, polite and always making sure the guests are happy, satisfied and well taken care of. Great place for a romantic dinner or some drinks on the rooftop bar. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC and I recommend to everyone.

My fiancé and I came here while we were staying in New York and the food was delicious! We both ordered the Penne alla Vodka for meals and got the Carpaccio di Manzo as an antipasti. Would definitely recommend!

Google
Absolutely phenomenal evening here. Had a party of 10 and every single person was beyond pleased. The food was incredible, the staff were impeccable, and the atmosphere was gorgeous. We will be back.

Yelp
Overall great atmosphere, top notch service, and the most important of all......the food was absolutely delicious ! The seafood risotto cooked perfectly, octopus appetizer served with the most incredible chickpeas in a sauce which was impressive to say the least. The desserts one better than the next the fresh napoleon cake (which seems pretty popular) has a great presentation and flavor. Absolutely worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Wowsers....this place is fancy! Wonderful location near Bryant Park with an indoor and outdoor seating area. This place is ultra high end all the way from the decor, clientele and menu/drink cost. Lamb chops were great, fries were done well, sushi was okay, calamari pretty good and egg yolk ravioli very tasty. The old fashion with tequila cocktail was fantastic but $25. Service here was fantastic. Very attentive, maybe a little pushy on the ordering. Definitely a place to check out if you want to impress someone.

Yelp
Service was outstanding. Everyone was very welcoming and super attentive to our needs. Food was fantastic but the star of the show had to be the napoleon desert. One of the best I have ever had - and that's not to put it lightly. The only negative was the location. It is certainly not easy to find though once we found it I realized I had walked past it twice.

Yelp
Came here for a team dinner. There was about 10 of us at one large table. The waiters were excellent, super helpful and kind. We had a 4 course meal with wine pairing in a way. we started off the first course with two types of salad, which were delicious along with a rosé and a white wine.then we got two glasses of red, which were also very good, we got two different pastas and eggplant one and a Bolognese. I really loved the eggplant pasta and for my entrée I got the steak medallions with peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes. It was me nothing spectacular, pretty basic and the crème brûlée for dessert. Other colleagues got the chocolate soufflé, which was a bit too chocolatey for me and had a side of ice cream, my friend had the chicken entrée and that was also not that spectacular.

Yelp
Prices are thru the roof food was good not something worth traffic and parking and toll price place was empty on a Friday evening which was nice but says alot. Service was friendly but nothing to match the prices. I recommend this for a nice business meeting date but not sure I would go back unless I'm in the area.

Yelp
A superb dining experience! The service was attentive and thoughtful. The extensive wine list will ensure even the even the pickiest wine enthusiasts will find the perfect wine to pair with dinner. The food is excellent. The truffle Alfredo pasta was our tables favorite pasta dish; creamy truffley goodness. The mozzarella chicken was good too but the pork chop had our table raving. The pork was so tender you could cut it with your fork! A beautiful restaurant in the heart of Manhattan with amazing food, a must try!

Yelp
Beautiful place. The food equaled the decor. The service was excellent. We ate like it was our last meal experiencing the starters and pasta family style and each ordering a main. The owner came to our table and greeted us warmly. It felt like we belonged there !

Yelp
I used to eat at the other Valbella establishment near Park Ave and the 50s. I love this new location, ambience is similar and good vibes. Staff is always attentive and giving amazing service. The menu is to die for! Really love the calamari and lobster. Sushi isn't bad here either, I've tried two signature rolls before. I have lambchops from time to time. Delicious. Martinis and wine selections are good. The rooftop calls for fantastic views and air, and bustling with finance people usually due to being in the heart of Bryant Park. It's definitely one of my favorites in the area. I recommend for fine dining in the area, but definitely on the pricey side for most!

Yelp
Valbella is a charming and elegant but friendly and familiar place. Our food was unique in flavor and presentation. Service was attentive and the food came out spaced out perfectly. Bring a lover or business partner as the food and atmosphere offers opportunity for both.

Yelp
Very upscale restaurant. The ambiance is very chic and romantic. Our server was very attentive. We had the burrata salad and the fish. The perfect way to start date night before a concert in NYC. I can not wait to come back.

Yelp
Food and service good. Expensive but that's ok except for 14$ cappuccino which is ridiculous! Killed the vibe.

Yelp
So LOUD we couldn't enjoy dinner. Staff was lovely and the ambiance very nice. We were here for a celebration but literally couldn't hear each other at a 4 top.

Yelp
We came back to this gem with kids for my husbands's birthday dinner, an early evening dinner to try their regular menu. Last time we only ordered sushi and it was amazing! The service was right on, attentive but not overbearing and our waiter had great suggestions. We started with fried calamari which was light and tasty with a wonderful marinara sauce on the side. We also had tuna tartar from the specials which was a great. We did have a huge dish of sushi specials since we couldn't skip that. It was beautiful , so fresh also very tasty!! For main course I really enjoyed double veal chops, grilled to perfection with vegetables on the side (baked potato, carrots and cauliflowers), my husband did order steak and it was perfect. Kids had lamb chops from the regular menu and mushroom Ravioli from the specials. Both amazing!! Desserts were also well executed with Napoleon cake being the stand out, topped with fresh almonds and amazing vanilla cream. Kids had an amazing time helping the chef prepare my husband's birthday surprise!! I would absolutely be coming back again soon and probably bring friends to enjoy drinks on their beautiful deck!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant with a fantastic location next to Bryant park. We sat on the rooftop outside which was great. The food and service were both phenomenal. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was very good. Friendly cool place. The atmosphere was great location was perfect distance from grand central as well as Penn station.

Yelp
Sushi was phenomenal, great ambience. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier, but I got tonic instead of soda 3x. Hopefully they fix that issue because that was really annoying and ruined my experience

Yelp
Great location and service, especially for a client lunch. On the pricier side bit of wanting a wow from your guests, this a must dine.

Yelp
One and done! So loud we had to lean in and yell to hear each other. The waiter could not have been ruder had he tried: when my friend ordered from the sushi menu he said the item didn't exist so she would have to order something more expensive. Speaking of prices, one friend at dinner is a wine distributor and got sticker shock at the 300-500% markup. Only two wines in the wine book were under $200 a bottle! Food prices were just as insane. The food was good but there are lots of better Italian restaurants in Manhattan. Go to the other ones!!!

Bryan S.

Yelp
Had lunch there today. Service was impeccable. I had the Caesar salad and the pork chop with hot cherry peppers. The salad was good, but the pork chop was by far the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked--fantastic sear on the outside. The hot cherry peppers & potatoes were a great complement to the chop. I would definitely eat there again!

Yelp
I am giving this a 3 because it was a mixed experience. I LOVED the setting (lively rooftop patio) and the service (many servers who were genuinely attentive) but I thought it was overpriced and I especially hated all the cigar and cigarette smoke from the customers who were dining on the patio. I haven't been to a restaurant in 20 years that had such a strong smell of smoke in the air while I ate.

Yelp
Food and service were top notch. We ordered a bunch of specials and everything was delicious; they also portion out and serve you things you want to share which is always appreciated. However, was not impressed with the vibe: - we were seated on the 2nd floor which looks to be for big groups only. There were ONLY groups of 6-8, did not see a single small table besides mine. We were squeezed into a table amidst the rotation. Super awkward - I had specified this was a business meeting but they set us up at this weirdly intimate table... ??? - the floor was absolutely chaos. Waiters EVERYWHERE, no room between tables, just super frenzied atmosphere. While I appreciate the service people were hovering way too much around all the diners. Definitely not a calm or fun experience - very strange host set up ... first you have to check in on the 1st floor (unfriendly hostesses) ride up the elevator which opens up to a very crowded bar area; everyone is knocking into each other. And the 2nd host stand is there so you check in again. Hosts were also knocking into people given the cramped set up. - besides the outdoor patio, I don't know why the interior is getting such positive reviews. Nothing special about the decor nor the view (the restaurant is NOT on Bryant park despite the address.... Just saying for all the tourists) There is a cool wine bottle room though... I'm not sure what's on the 3rd floor, maybe that's better decorated? I would come back for some after work drinks on the patio OR for a large business dinner given the convenient location and set up. Corporate card will be used for sure as the wine bottles are pricey (200$ min). Otherwise not a place I would revisit, plenty of way cooler restaurants in NYC at this price point

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful upscale restaurant! Their service is spot on....we felt like we were the only ones in the room. They have one the best wine selections I have ever seen! Our dinner was delicious, and so beautiful. If you are looking for a romantic place to take your loved one, this is it! Impressive!
