Saturday night was our first visit to Valencia. We made the reservation early in the week. We were asked if we wanted a table inside or outside. The person taking our reservation suggested outside, and they would move us inside if the weather did not cooperate, so we agreed on that. On arrivial the weather was wet and cool, so we asked to switch to inside, but we were told that was not an option, so we agreed to take a table outside. After sitting down, Brian, the Manager came out and apologized. That was first class and we elected to stay for dinner dispite the conditions were not ideal. Their policy is that you need to order your entire meal at once (re: Tapas and entre) which I personally do not like given when it is your first time at a restaurant, it is hard for us to gauge how filling the first courses will be. I find I may wish to change my main course based on the starter. I assume one of the reasons for having to order everything at once is that the paelle takes 20 to 30 minutes, and if you wait, then you are tying up the table that much longer. The wine selection is very limited, but we ordered a nice red and ordered the Bogafalaya roll tapas and the avocado roll tapas as starters and the cajun paelle for two as our main. The deep fried tapas rolls were nice and tasty, and both rolls came with a separate sauce. The cajun paelle was a good size portion and it was very good. The ingrediences were fresh, it was cooked very well and the protein and veggies were moist and not over-done (as they can be in some paelle). The service was fine. The manager checked on us again (during the rain) and offered to comp us for one of the tapas starters due to the mix up. That was nice, and he was a pleasure to talk to. Overall, given they have only been open for a couple of months, the food was very good, and we will try it again.
