The Best Restaurants in Houston’s Garden Oaks and Oak Forest - Eater Houston

"While Valencia’s is a festive place for Tex-Mex day or night, its weekend brunch is one of the most popular times to visit. Available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 3 p.m., guests can look forward to a lively atmosphere fueled by morning cocktails, penny mimosa refills, and brunch staples like hotcakes and huevos rancheros." - Megha McSwain

Came here for National Margarita Day with my husband and we absolutely enjoyed our time. They seated us fast, they have plenty of seating inside and outside that's covered. Our waiter was super nice and attentive and funny (I wish I remembered his name). The happy hour menu was sweet and the food was delicious. The drinks were strong and super good! We will definitely be back to try other foods.

Google
First time here and it won’t be my last. Brad (my server) made me feel very welcomed and he was very attentive. My food came out pretty quick. And let me not forget about the margarita, it was delicious and strong. Definitely helped out with the stressful week. Will come back for sure. Highly recommend if you’re in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area.

As we all know, the ultimate test of a restaurant is how fast and aggressively your water gets refilled. Enter Jeremy, who went head-to-head with my post-two-day-bender dehydration—and let me tell you, the man delivered like an absolute pro. Was the food life-changing? Not really. But it’s the neighborhood Tex-Mex joint, and I came here for an unreasonable amount of chips and salsa, not a Michelin star. The wife loved her quesadillas, and I thoroughly enjoyed a plate of tender, flavorful meat paired with perfectly sunny-side-up eggs. A nice sunny-side-up gets a sunny-side-thumbs-up from me every time. Valencia’s, you’ve earned the respect of a thirsty traveler. Well played.

Google
The service and atmosphere is amazing. The food is not too bad! I had the pozole and I’d rate it a 7/10 I will be coming back to try more items. Oh tres leches a 9/10 :) I came on Valentine’s Day and it was nicely decorated and the entire staff was nice, welcoming and had a great attitude.

Google
Absolutely great! The tamales were excellent and only out done by the personal service from Isaias Galvan! We come here 4 to 6 times a year from Kansas City. Always a destination place for us!

Erica Castillo

Google
Isaias deserves ten stars for the amazing service! The food's great, especially those chipotle-infused dishes. And the atmosphere? So unique and cool, it's like a total escape.

Google
I love this text Mex Mexican restaurant it’s different from all the others. It has a great atmosphere. It has an excellent service and the food bustling with flavors and spices, especially the fajitas. Yummy salsas and green sauce are not thick taste as many time as you want and taste remains the same chicken quesadillas it was great, and the service from Mr. Santiago was one of the best. He said the food with the heart and I guess food was made with the heart prices were very very reasonable than most of the tex mex restaurant. Please guys go ahead and try them. They will win your heart and will make you come back again for more because I have started craving for more food now they will treat you good.

Google
What an amazing experience. The chips and sauces provided to the table were very authentic and rich. The Patron margarita was perfect, and my sopa de tortilla. What a flavorful experience. Isaias was a great server. The rice was a little simple… but mixed with the soup was perfectly fine.

Yelp
The Chilaquiles rojos were the star of the meal, with a generous serving of black beans, avocado, and Spanish rice that perfectly balanced the flavors. The menu offered an enticing selection of pozole, nachos, and taquitos, all presented beautifully. The flavors were spot-on, making it hard to choose just one dish. Service was top-notch, with attentive staff and a steady stream of drinks. I particularly enjoyed the coffee martini and mezcal. The variety of draft and frozen drink options made it perfect for a group brunch. Valencia's Tex Amex Garage is a brunch must-try. The Chilaquiles, excellent drink selection, and focused service create a memorable brunch experience. The atmosphere is loud, ideal for a party, but might not be the best for a quiet catch-up. Despite this, I'd still recommend Valencia's for a fun brunch with friends thanks to the amazing food and drink options.

Yelp
Place is terrible. Mostly reviewing this place from a bar standpoint, but the food is not good either. The bar - Ice cold flat beer. Wine on tap that's gone south from sitting too long. Chips and salsa are trash. The food - while not the worst I've ever had this place has mediocre Tex-Mex. Totally not worth the visit. How this place gets so many radio ads I have no idea.

Yelp
We REALLY enjoyed our time here! Andres was BEYOND kind and attentive!! It's such a colorful restaurant but it wasn't rowdy which I love! I had Tex Mex Queso and a chicken Quesadilla both were SOO yummy and the prices were really good! I DEFINITELY want to come back !!

Yelp
Great Mexican option in the Hood! Love the menu---soooo many options. Margaritas were delicious, service was attentive, & food was very good. Looking forward to our next visit. One critique-we like the changing lights behind the bar but they are too bright....felt like I was on stage.....

Yelp
We had the best time at this place, course it also helped we had a great group of friends with us. . This is a fun, busy and pretty loud happening place. Good times and lots of laughter. We had an excellent server, Santi P was very attentive to our group of 8. We only had one thing that could be important comment. The beans had no flavor, everyone had the same comment who had them. So, other than that it was a great night out. Please give this place some love and go eat when your in the area

Yelp
A friend and I stopped in for drinks after seeing their ad for weekend happy hour in the community impact paper. There wasn't room at the bar so we were sat at a table in the center of the restaurant. We ordered water and large margaritas as soon as we arrived and noted that we wouldn't be ordering food. The inside was decorated nicely and was overall very casual. Our server brought out waters immediately and noted that the bar was heavily backed up with orders so it would take awhile to get our drinks. I was surprised how long it took with the limited number of people in the restaurant. While we waited, they did bring out chips and salsa. The chips seemed overly stale so weren't something we ended up eating. Our server was great and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. When the margaritas did arrive, they were on the sour side but still good. I do think the pricing in the add is a bit misleading considering how it actually works when you arrive. The lower price on the add seems to be for a special lunch size and not a regular margarita. Overall, we had an OK experience but this isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit again.

Yelp
Excellent place in Garden Oaks for some clever, tasty TexMex. Met cousins here for brunch and the food was superb. Several of us had the breakfast tacos (all good especially with the bacon). And these are 3 big tacos. A couple had fajitas and remarked on how perfect they were cooked-not over cooked. Since we ate and drank for over 3 hours, service was perfect. Kept filling glasses and refilling chips. BTW, chips and salsas are wonderful. Environment is cool. Sort of TexMex sports bar meets funky icehouse. This place is a gem. Met one of owners-nice guy. They're the folks who created, built, and eventually sold Cyclone Anaya. Only problem- they need to expand to Dallas where I live! What a great place.

Yelp
One star for the waiter standing over me while tipping on the touch pad. They need to fix this and at that point it is extortion.

Yelp
My cousin and I spent the day out and about and enroute home we stopped by Valencia's Tex Mex Garage. The restaurant wasn't crowded for a Friday night so we had the opportunity to chill on the patio. We had eaten just a few hours earlier so we really only wanted to snack, drink and laugh. To our surprise, the nachos was delicious paired with our drinks. I had the Don Julio jumbo margarita and I could see the liquor floating on the top and bottom on my glass. We ordered the combo nachos to share and they hit the spot so good we ordered a second plate. Anyway, the service, food, vibe 4 stars.

Yelp
Food is great, drinks are strong, but staffing seems to be an issue? Love the HH at Valencia's and all the lunch specials but I have found the last few times I have stopped in, there's only one or two waiters who seem to be juggling a lot. Both times there have been huge parties in attendance and only two waiters or so it seems to be servicing the busy restaurant. I love the food and drinks and under stand short staffing is everywhere but it does impact my thoughts after paying $70 w/tip but service taking forever. Luckily the gentlemen servicing us is always kind, we keep coming back, just hope they're able to maybe have more staff to help cover the full restaurant.

Yelp
The Chilaquiles rojos stole the show; the plate came with a generous serving of black beans, avocado, and Spanish rice that perfectly complemented the flavorful Chilaquiles. The menu offered a tempting array of options, including pozole, nachos, and taquitos, all of which looked equally appealing. The flavors and presentation did not disappoint. The service was exceptionally attentive, and the drinks just kept coming. My favorite was the coffee martini, followed closely by the mezcal. The restaurant also offered a variety of draft specials and frozen drinks to choose from, making it a perfect place for a relaxing brunch with friends. In summary, Valencia's Tex Amex Garage is a must-visit for those looking for a great brunch experience. The Chilaquiles, extensive drink options, and attentive service make it a memorable destination for a leisurely meal with friends. The only minor drawback was that the atmosphere leaned towards the louder side, which is natural for a place catering to big parties and serving alcohol. Despite this, I would still highly recommend Valencia's Tex Amex Garage for a lively brunch with friends, thanks to its delicious food and extensive drink options.

Yelp
The presentation was nice even as a delivery order. It was exciting that they had both red and green salsa! However, I was not impressed with either of the salsas. Neither tasted very fresh and they were not spicy. The chili relleno was not breaded which was exactly what I wanted! Rice was not impressive refried beans are good.

Yelp
10 outta 10, I recommend! Decor on point. Love the wizard of oz tree. Food was delish. Free parking but can be challenging to find a parking spot since it shares it with other businesses including Local Table. Clean restrooms but 2 stalls for the women's restroom is not enough. Good customer service. I will definitely be back. : Brisket quesadilla-it's listed as an appetizer but it's more like a meal. The brisket was tender and flavorful. This was sooo good. Just didn't like that it was super greasy. : Breakfast -Trio of egg, beans and potato, egg, beans and chorizo and egg, beans and applewood smoked bacon tacos rolled in flour tortillas. Hot & fresh. So good. Still a lil greasy. Rice was bland. : Chips & Queso-Queso was great. Chips were warm and crunchy. : Tres de leche-not as sweet & milky as I would like. It was just ok. : Carrot cake-it was just ok.

Yelp
Service never came around and left the building. Managers never stepped in either as Daniel the bartender was absent they said and four people got on the phone to answer questions .

Yelp
I've gone to Valencia's many time and have never been disappointed. The food and service is always outstanding. I also love the inside.

Yelp
Yesterday was my first time visiting Valencia's! My friend and I loved it! Since it was such a beautiful day, we sat on the patio. We had Felix as our waiter and he was very nice and friendly! For brunch, I had the Chilaquiles with roasted brisket and it was delicious! We ordered the brunch poinsettia "mimosas" with $0.01 refills! For dessert, I ordered a slice of Tres Leches! Omg, the slice was huge and it was delicious! I will definitely be visiting again & again & again!

Yelp
Came during happy hour. The ambiance is pretty chill. We were greeted upon entry and the staff were very warm and welcoming. Complimentary Chips and salsa were great. Birria tacos and beef fajita's were mid. I had to add salt to both dishes as well as the complimentary green sauce. The food most definitely lacked flavor. The drinks were really strong and good though, but considering it was happy hour, they were a bit smaller than I was expecting.
google avatar

Morgan W.

Yelp
Positives - excellent look and feel. The decor is beautiful. Very spacious. Good for groups. The service was good. The drinks are strong. The space was pretty empty when we went for an early happy hour. It filled up later for dinner. Lots of families and kids. Negatives - food needs an upgrade on seasoning and flavor based on what we had. The food was about a 2.5. It wasn't very flavorful. The elote and queso with ground beef were pretty good. The happy hour tacos were a good snack but very small, not well seasoned and way too much lettuce. Texas has a lot of TexMex options with better food. I would come back for the drinks, maybe. But that's it.

Yelp
I came here yesterday with a girl friend to have lunch and catch up. This restaurant is located in Garden oaks near the heights. When you first walk in you can see how trendy this place is with all the colorful decors. Your eyes are drawn to the bar immediately with these purple neon lights and you can see they have multiple margarita machines working . They also have these beautiful flower decor and umbrellas hanging all over from their ceiling creating this ambiance. The food was okay. Their chips and salsa could be better. Their chips was a bit over fried and their salsa is missing a kick. My friend and I ordered from their happy hour menu - small bites section that is served from 11-6pm Monday through Friday. When they mean small bites I mean they were really small, so beware. We ordered the rotisserie chicken truck tacos and the crunchy beef tacos. The rotisserie chicken truck tacos were okay, they stuffed a lot of lettuce on there that it made the tortilla break apart easily. One dish that we did order on the small bites that was well portioned and seasoned was their ceviche. I like a lot of limes on my ceviche and you can tell they didn't skimp on that. Although the food was subpar, their drink menu options were not. I can see myself coming back just for the cocktails and margarita. I had a couple of drinks there and each drink did not disappoint at all. The Mexican martini that I ordered usually doesn't come with a tajin rim, but I asked for it and it made it taste that much better. Their spicy pineapple ranch water was also very good. It wasn't too spicy, but it had a really nice kick to it. My friend did order 2 margaritas and they are slightly strong. So on the up side, friendly staff, cute instagrammable place, good cocktails and a nice patio option seating.

Yelp
Food was somewhat decent until there was a large chicken bone shard in a fried flauta. Not only was this unappetizing but also extremely dangerous. The manager "apologized" by saying he was sorry but bones can be expected because they use shredded chicken. The waitress is expected to tell customers that bones are possible. Not only is this an asinine response but an asinine expectation for a waitress to tell customers that their fried flauta that you bite into may have bones. We will not be returning to an establishment that unfortunately doesn't take customer safety seriously.

Yelp
Being in the neighborhood visiting a friend, I decided to have lunch here last week for my first time. Upon walking in I immediately liked the decor of this Tex Mex restaurant. It was festively decorated with inverted parasols hanging from the ceiling along with a neat looking full bar that is backlit with changing colors even noticeable in the daytime. This restaurant also has a covered and fenced outdoor seating area too. From an appearance perspective this place gives out cool vibes. I ordered the Pollo Vienna entree ($18) from the dinner menu for lunch. First to arrive was the complimentary chips and 2 dips (one red salsa and one guac). This turned out to be a bad start for me as the chips and salsas are important to my overall satisfaction of a restaurant like this. Not only was the red salsa too tart for me to enjoy so was the guac dip! That surprised me because usually guac dip is smooth rather than bitter like this one was. I ate about 4 chips and stopped. The entree arrived in under 15 minutes. It was a chicken breast sautéed in cilantro butter and topped with a mushroom chipotle Chardonnay cream sauce. Sounds exotic doesn't it? The meal also came with sliced avocado and grilled veggies. The one positive was that the chicken breast was a large piece. Other than that, I didn't particularly care for the taste and thought it was too salty. One other positive was that our waiter, Felix, did a professional job of waiting on the table. He was excellent. Honestly, I don't think I will return here. When I ordered my waiter said that my entree was one of their best and I didn't care for it. Because I also didn't like the chips and dips I don't think I would want to take a chance of another entree. Sorry but while the restaurant looks nice the food didn't cut it with me. Therefore I give a 2 because it could have been better.....

Yelp
Drinks were on point. I didn't actually try the food. The service was pretty goood, but we sat at the bar and we came towards the end of the night. The place seemed like a good place to visit with friends.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Super cute Tex mex spot. Margs are frosty and delicious and I love getting the little Happy hour plates for a quick bite. The taquito are hot and crunchy, queso is all that I needed it to be.
google avatar

Carissa C.

Yelp
Very cute place, but the food was just ok. My friends and I came the other night and were seated immediately. It was a weekend and it wasn't overly crowded. The chips & salsa were pretty good. I enjoyed the red salsa more than green because it was spicier. I got the Pollo Vienna. I'm currently on the keto diet, so I enjoyed the fact that they had something that wasn't served with fried tortillas. The mushroom chardonnay cream sauce was nice and the chicken was surprisingly tender. The reason for me docking down a star was because my fiancee wanted to order the elote. Unfortunately we weren't able to try it because it's listed as a "happy hour" item and the computer wouldn't let the server input the order. What a bummer. Prices were a bit steep for a Tex-Mex spot, but I guess that's inflation for ya. My Ranch Water cocktail was $12! My fiancee ordered the brisket enchiladas and he said it wasn't anything memorable. We visit the Heights neighborhood fairly often, but I don't think we'll necessarily be back here anytime soon.

Bailey A.

Yelp
Place sucks. Came for bottomless mimosas and in 3 hours they served me only 3 mimosas simply because they didn't want me to get my moneys worth. Food sucks too not to mention. I love cheese but this cheese quesadilla is way too cheesy it's disgusting and greasy. And my date found a hair in his rice which is just so unsanitary
google avatar

Laura Z.

Yelp
Great Mimosas and Margaritas! Chilaquiles delicioso!!! Not spicy!!! Relax and Friendly Vibe!!!!
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
We have tried this place 5 or 6 times and it is not that good - especially for the price. The place is cute and outdoor seating is nice. Staff is always friendly and attentive. But - sadly - the food. Watered-down Chile con queso, shrimp that looks and tastes frozen, bland, margaritas taste like a mix. It's just "ok" and I'm not paying that much for "just ok."
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Bartenders are always super nice! The taller guy is my favorite! Salsa is fresh and chips are crisp! Love this place
google avatar

Yelp
great meal, great service, food was excellent, no issues. Music was too loud, asked them to turn it down and they dId!! will go back

Yelp
Food was great, had ceviche, enchiladas. The bar tender had amazing service. The ambiance was geared towards a family experience.
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood, so decided to try the restaurant week's menu at this place. It was late afternoon, but we were still able to order from the lunch menu. It was not crowded and we were seated right away. The service was OK but the food was disappointing, very salty. My partner ordered the beef enchiladas and I had the fish tacos. The portions were large, but the tacos were greasy. The best part of the entire meal was the chocolate coconut cake. They had a lot of drink specials advertised, and a decent size bar. It seems to be a place that would be better to have a drink and some nibbles rather than a meal.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
I stopped by the Oak Forest location (2009 W 34th St.) for takeout on a Thursday afternoon. The ladies at the host station were very friendly and helpful to me. The decorum of the place to me was cool. The multiple TVs gave me the feeling that this would be a good place to watch sporting events. Like most eateries, they offer a birthday/rewards program to encourage more spending. My order of chicken enchiladas came out in no time flat. My only negative was that the charro beans were just OK.
google avatar

Nikki L.

Yelp
Jefferson was great! Even though it was busy, he was on top of everything. Food came out quickly. They have bottomless mimosas ($0.01 refills) definitely worth it. The table next to us got chicken quesadillas and they looked really good, so I will definitely be back to try those and the margs because they looked good too.
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
This place is a neat looking taco shop on the inside and outside. There was not really one thing I could put a finger on that was bad, but it also was not anything I could call out as really good. It was just ok. The downside is that it is all terribly dry. I don't think I have ever experienced ground beef with the consistency of sand. It was just off. The service was so so. No follow up on the meal. The queso was ok. They do have a nice setup with chips and salsa. The way the food is presented is very nice and the portions are good enough but I just can't get past the dryness of everything. It's like the food just sat under a heat lamp for way too long and all of the moisture evaporated. They have a nice bar setup, beers on tap and frozen drinks. They have multiple TVs and the restaurant is very clean. They have a festive decor inside. It's just unfortunate the food is not better- this could easily be my go to lunch spot for Tex-Mex. I hope they can improve. There is definitely a lot of potential. I'm not sure if they have a dessert menu. If they do, one was never offered.
google avatar

Nancy K.

Yelp
The décor and staff are awesome. Leslie is a great server. But this food was just not delicious or even good. It is just okay as other reviewers say. Wish I hd read those first. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The cheese inside is straight up velveeta and if there was chili con carne sauce it was not enough to soak the corn tortillas or show up through the melted velveeta everywhere. My rice was cold. It was 9 pm but still :/. The black refried beans were the most flavorful thing on the plate but $50 (the tex-mex queso is $10 by itself) was a lot to spend to be that disappointed.
google avatar

Ali S.

Yelp
Drove here from Katy! This was semi disappointing,...service was good Justin did awesome! But food was cold and we rated everything a B - . If you live more 5 miles from here don't come unless you want Margaritas! Disappointed,.... And they sat us towards the back of the restaurant and had think about! [I was so looking forward to eating here after all the Instagram post but a restaurant I would return too!]

Yelp
I honestly can't believe the unprofessionalism we experienced at this location. I looked forward to celebrating my birthday here on Jan 22nd, Sunday. On Tuesday, Jan 17th I called in to make reservation for Sunday around 10-12 people for noon. I explained to the woman on phone (I assume she is a host) that we can make the reservation for 10 but if anything changes or my party becomes larger I will let them know. The host took my name and reservation for 10 and she even let me know that she would be working on Sunday and there should be no problems w the reservation. We get there on Sunday for my birthday brunch and this is where everything goes wrong. We get there @ almost 12:30pm with 8/10 people and I give them my name at the front. The "manager" Gus and a woman host proceeded to tell me they did not have a reservation under that name and that EVEN IF I DID HAVE A RESERVATION FOR 12pm noon, we are late anyways and reservations disappear after 15 mins.... Why would ANY restaurant use a system that automatically deletes reservations? I proceed to tell the Gus that I had just called on Tuesday so how could it be that they didn't have a reservation under my name? as soon as I said I called on Tuesday the host said, "Oh I didn't work on Tuesday"...... I even pulled up my phone call log and showed them the calls I made to their phone number making sure I was otp with the correct location, which I was. Gus took our names down and said for 10 people 80% of our party would have to be there, there was already 8 of us there and he still refused to let us sit down. At this point, I knew the rest of my friends were pulling up soon so I try to shrug off this whole situation and stay positive to give this place I've been looking forward to, a chance. We go outside and wait in the cold for about 10-15 mins and Gus comes outside to offer us a table that fits 8. I was so confused because I just told him my party would be 10-11 total. So why would he offer us a table that wouldn't fit all of us? I tell him you know what, let me see what the table/section looks like. He brings us inside and shows me a half booth half table section and says "Yeah maybe if your party is skinny y'all could squeeze and fit" we found this comment to be very offensive, what kind of manager makes a comment like this? My large party and I even make an effort to try out the 8top section but it was just not going to work. This whole time Gus is telling us he is unsure what else he can do for us because he did not know when the next large top would be available. Either we squeeze or leave is what it felt like, basically. I am unsure why he would keep saying he did not have another table when there was a perfectly set up 12top he was "guarding" and it had been empty since we had gotten there around 12:30pm. We eventually ended up leaving and going next door because at that point we felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable with the way Gus was treating my party and I. Overall, this encounter really sucked especially because we had been looking forward to Valencia's. I hope this location can works on how they speak to their guest and work on their reservation policy because this shouldn't have happened.

Yelp
Traveling out of state for a wedding. I booked a reservation on the OpenTable app for 10 people at 7:45. *note yelp says the restaurant closes at 8:30p and OpenTable says 10p and offered 7:45p, 8p, and 815p as available time slots to make a reservation. The waitstaff was kind, friendly and hard working but also struggled to answer basic questions about the menu because of a language barrier. After we placed our food order the manager came over and loudly yelled "last call" in our served face. The rest of our visit was neglectful and rushed. Food was great but overpriced. Be sure to call and confirm your reservation in advance!

Yelp
Mimosa are buy one get one for a penny!!!!! Great place to pregame before going to a actual brunch party. Food wasn't to my liking and inside give a friendly family feel noting to crazy. I would recommend this to someone who wants a cheap bite and a quick brunch

Yelp
This is my fourth time at Valencia's and love it, but tonight was an "off" night for them. Told 45-60 minutes for inside table, 5 minutes later we received a text to come in and started to be led outside. Stopped that and got a four top inside for the six of us. Drink order had to be given twice, one chip basket for 6 people was gone in a minute, asked for silverware three times and dinner took 35 minutes to come out of kitchen with half our dinner not hot. Then we found out they had been the beneficiary of a viral video last week. That explained a lot so I still love them and will return next trip to Houston!

Yelp
Matthew was an excellent server for our large party! We came for a birthday and penny mimosa but they ran out of champagne and would not even let us order some at regular price after they brought back more champagne. Very disappointed with management!

Yelp
Honestly the food here is always delicious. I have been coming here since they opened but it's been a couple months since I've been here. I always get the same thing- grilled fish tacos with their delicious black beans and cilantro sauce (trust me, it's amazing). Last night, I noticed the prices have increased (not surprised because price of everything has increased) but what really shocked me was the tacos have gotten way smaller. One piece of fish in a tiny tortilla, like street taco size. Previously, the portions were so generous that I'd eat one taco for a meal and take the other as leftover for the next day. I think that if you are going to increase your prices, don't make the meal smaller as well. Or space those changes out over time so that regulars like me aren't aware. The food itself is always delicious and service is great as well. I love that it's a dog friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
Food was subpar. I wasn't really impressed with anything except the chips and salsa. For the penny mimosa refills it's absolutely worth the trip though!!!! Food is just kinda bland and unexciting.

Yelp
Service was great, Matthew was very friendly and attentive! The food was better than expected, flavorful and big portions. Loved the ambiance and that it's dog friendly.

Yelp
Our server Matthew did awesome for our large party! We came for a party and penny mimosa's but we did not get any because they ran out and management would not let us even order any at regular price once with had more champagne. Need a sign and to post "limited supply while last" Left very disappointed

Yelp
The place is great for Tex-med food. It's a bit on the pricey side for any food options that you choose. If you don't mind the price, and enjoy a great food and ambience--this is the place for you ! This restaurant has a really nice patio area for your kids to play and when you take your dog/dogs with you for a bite. The margarita drinks are strong ! I highly recommend ordering them when you're here, too.

Yelp
Over all great service. The food was amazing. I been here a few times and got the ceviche, tacos and quesadillas. The music is good, and perfect place to bring a date or just come and watch certain games like the Astros. Also the bartender Gerardo was really good and was taking care of me by the end of the night he made me feel like family and told me to call him Jerry. 5/5 recommend

Yelp
Came in to enjoy a relaxing lunch and to see my regular bartender. He started explaining a few menu items to me and a woman came behind the bar and yelled at him to do something. It was so unprofessional. Is this how you treat your staff? I also brought him Starbucks, because like I said he's my regular bartender. She also yelled at him about that so loud that I could hear all the way at the other end. Really makes the visit unpleasant. I most likely won't return and will just visit my bartender at his other jobs. Kudos to the kitchen, bartenders and everyone else. The food is delicious and their service is excellent.
