We found this cool cafe this evening. They have many selection of coffee, tea and pastry. Love the decor and the lighting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely will come back again!

My gf dragged me here after viewing this spot on tiktok. I was pleasantly surprised, it was a beautiful space with delicious coffee and snacks. Great service, clean spaces and not too loud. I highly recommend visiting.

Always wanted to visit this cafe and finally tried today. Got myself Mexican chocolate mocha with strawberry danish. First of all, when I walked in, the place was gorgeously decorated. I was in love with it and took so many photos. I was in hurry so I ordered to go order and the coffee was so nice. The scent flavor was amazing. I also loved the strawberry danish it was crispy soft and sweet. I’m definitely coming back and may never go back to Starbucks..

Google
The mug size seems a bit off. I've been to this café many times and absolutely love both the place and their coffee. However, on my recent visit, I noticed something interesting. A 16oz drink barely fills up a 12oz cup. I understand that foam might be factored in, but the liquid level still seems significantly lower than expected. In the image, the 12oz cup is on the left, and the 16oz mug is on the right.

Loved the coffee! It was a perfect mocha. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting with relaxed lights and light music.

Google
As a person who loves his coffee with a proper ambience of subtle, yeah peaceful, this location was not only pleasant to drink my coffee, but also look around and be amazed. Even the bathroom was decorated so miraculously that I couldn’t not look without appreciating the artwork. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee was more than suffice, and the pastries were a delicacy.

Google
A vibe - Diverse Coffee Menu - Great staff Valentina’s a whole vibe and I’m here for it. The coffee menu is so unique compared to what’s around and definitely worth the try. Pays great homage to their Hispanic coffee roots. Don’t get a regular coffee, try something outside your norm. A safe space to do it! The aesthetics are all too pleasing, classy rustic and modern vibes. My only complaint is that there is no way to rewarm a coffee should you stay and need it reheated but the barista was nice enough to top me off - which I so greatly appreciate!

Meriah Dainard

Google
Great coffee, friendly staff, a stale concha (sweet bread pastry with filling) however is $13 🤡 Check your pricing before you pay because I was definitely thrown off by the price tag and then definitely disappointed with the product

Yelp
A wonderful remote work spot or a spot to chat. It's so cozy and the art is so whimsical in here. All there drinks are such awesome flavor combos that kinda never fail. I've tried the orange one and spicy one. The coconut one is pretty damn good as well. brilliant late art. Top it off with a pastry and it's a perfect cozy cafe day. Definitely a top Seattle cafe for me.

Yelp
I love their rich coffees, luxe decor, and delicious baked goods at Valentina's Mexican Cafè that's located at the old Caffe Fiore in Old Ballard. Their Lotus Biscoff Basque Cheesecake is creamy, decadent, and is perfectly not too sweet. The same goes for their Condensed Milk Coffee that sounds like it would taste super sweet, but it's not... It's so good!!! Check them out when in the area.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe with the cutest interior and bathroom! The pastries are really good and you have to try the burnt basque cheesecake. The sticky bun was also really good and the coffee is strong and smooth. Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
Such a chill cafe for a short meet up or place to grab a tasty drink while working. I love all the Mexican mocha variation drinks.

Rockee A.

Yelp
If the girl with the piercings is making your coffee, you know it's going to be good. She's super friendly, always helpful, and down for a good conversation. I always feel welcomed when I come in the vibe is unmatched, and the coffee is even better.

Atzin V.

Yelp
I got the concha and the Catalan latte. Both were delicious! The inside was a very rustic and cozy vibe. Seems like they're pretty busy during the weekends, but I definitely recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful, clean cafe with strong, reliable WiFi, vegetarian options, unique drinks, and cozy vibes. It's really well thought out as they have outlets by each desk. The baristas are super friendly and helpful for recommendations in and around the area. I ordered the Catalan latte - it was stunning! Check out the bathrooms, the decor is so pretty!!
google avatar

Hansi D.

Yelp
Cozy space with incredible coffee! I had something off their seasonal menu - Spiced Shaken Espresso (Espresso shaken with house-made piloncillo syrup and cinnamon). It was one of the best coffees I'd had all year!
google avatar

Yelp
I went for the first time this weekend after getting lunch, and I am so glad to have stumbled across one of the best coffee shops in Seattle. The inside is very modern, they have chargers for your computer, and this is one of the cleanest coffee shops I have visited in Seattle. The service was excellent, too. The barista was very nice and was helpful in ordering the right drink. We got the Catalan Latte and the Tulum Latte, and both were so yummy with looks of cream on top! I am looking forward to going here again.

Yelp
Discovering this place was a delightful experience! The ambiance is warm and cozy, creating the perfect setting for both coffee enthusiasts and those looking for a conducive study spot. The coffee here is top-notch. What adds an extra layer of joy is the generous offering of free pastries after 6 pm - a sweet surprise that elevates the whole experience. I found myself immersed in a welcoming atmosphere that strikes a balance between a chill hangout and a productive study environment. Needless to say, I'll be making this spot a regular on my list!

Yelp
Food - our breakfast/brunch food was fresh and not just reheated or pre-packaged stuff. The breakfast sandwich for my partner and the veggie burrito for me. They were still serving breakfast items (as available) until around 1pm, which was lovely. They have lots of options for dietary restrictions like vegetarian (me) or vegan or gluten free. The drinks were also fantastic and decently unique selection with a cornucopia of milk options (including sesame milk that I'll have to go back to try). We went with the chai (more spicy than sweet, which is my pref) and the Valentina, which was really good. Service - very speedy and friendly server. She was also very patient with any questions and seemed to be handling a full cafe of people by herself without us even realizing. Ambiance - super cool and funky spot. It's got elegant but unique decor that you want to look at and find more detail in, but doesn't distract from any work or conversation. It's just a pleasant and unique vibe! I would absolutely come back here and am already planning on bringing some friends. Gotta try the cochas next time before they're out!

Yelp
Finally, the two former employees are no longer working here. This morning, an amazing barista, a young lady from Sacramento, graciously and patiently waited for me. On the days when I don't have my kids, I tend to rush and struggle to order my food correctly. Unfortunately, my poor memory has already forgotten her name. I want to thank my barista for making an amazing drink that looked so cute.
google avatar

Zao Z.

Yelp
Great coffee and ambiance. Very cute cafe. It is owned by the same owner as the guy who owns Asadero next door
google avatar

Yelp
I love the mochas here. The setting is also beautiful and well-lit for a perfect rainy day, with pretty and warm lighting and lots of places to work out of. I especially love the spicy mochas!

M G.

Yelp
The cutest spot for cafecito. Friendly and fast service. Great for a dew photos too. Would strongly recommend you visit

Yelp
I tried the coffee flight, every one of the drinks was delicious and the individual sizes of the three drinks was bigger than I expected. My partner had the breakfast burrito which I w thought tasted really fresh and flavorful! The vibe here is really cute, outlets everywhere for easy remote work. This is my new favorite coffee/worky spot.

Yelp
I wanted to stop back and update my review. I have been back to Valentina's a few times in the past year and have been pleasantly surprised by the progress I have seen. Service seems generally faster and I love all of the pastry and food options. The bathrooms are also so pretty now (a little detail, but it just adds to experience)! The coffee is good, as always. The vibe is a lot warmer and more welcoming than at a lot of nearby shops, and it's actually pleasant to spend time there! I think this will be my go to for the coming fall and winter!
google avatar

Maddie L.

Yelp
Wow, what a gem Valentina's is!! We were looking to grab a cup of coffee after having lunch nearby and found this place on Yelp. We ordered the Valentina's coffee and the Catalan latte. The Valentina's coffee was absolutely amazing, I can't even put into words how much I loved it. The condensed milk was the perfect touch and created the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness. This coffee is a MUST try - I already can't wait to come back and order this again, it's that good! The service was wonderful here as well. The barista took our order and he was super friendly and helpful (makes an insanely good cup of coffee too!) Beautiful and cozy ambiance at this cute little café! I love all of the chandeliers they have throughout the inside. Great spot to do work too!
google avatar

Mireya S.

Yelp
Valentina's Cafe was a nice experience. If you have not been I would not say you are missing out. We enjoyed the items we got but felt we could get the same at a local Panaderia (Mexican bakery). The staff was very kind and quick with our order. Of course a cute place for pictures and a little girls coffee date.
google avatar

Yelp
Valentina has been a nice cafe to have for a few reasons. It's open particularly late for Seattle standards so it provided me with a getaway option when I wanted to get away from my roommate's band practice in the evening once. The wifi is good enough for working but it's a little weak for a video chat. The coffee here is good and it's nice to chill in a relaxed ambiance that Valentina's offers. I sometimes get the specialty mocha, which is a lot less sweeter than mochas I've had in other coffee shops. I also sometimes get the mousse cakes whenever they're available. They seem like they are from an Asian pastry shop - it's cute and it's pretty good. Staff is friendly and I always have a good time here.
google avatar

Cardin N.

Yelp
First off, this cafe might be one of the most beautiful shops and then Scotty was super awesome! Service was phenomenal along with great cups of coffee. Got a croissant as well and loved the buttery soft bites.
google avatar

Tiana N.

Yelp
This is such a cute cafe with delicious food and a fantastic ambiance. The quiche and latte were yummy. The WiFi is strong and reliable. I live in the area, so it was easy to walk to, but overhearing customers, the parking may be difficult. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here - perfect if you like to work from a coffee shop! Ordered the Valentina's Mocha (it's a mocha with fresh orange peel) and it was delicious! The barista was very friendly and delicate with my order as well - would definitely come back again!
google avatar

Jacqueline W.

Yelp
Honestly I'd go just for the bathrooms. This place is incredibly beautiful with a nod to authentic Mexican sweets and coffee. All of the specialty drinks are so delicious and the mocha powder is to die for. After 6 you get a free pastry with drink purchase, get the morning roll!!!!

Yelp
It was an sunny winter mood Saturday morning, and Valentina's was definitely the spot to fit the mood of the day! Met a friend there, and we had their breakfast burrito and the muffin sandwich, portions were a bit small for the price, and it was just preheated food. We were expecting a home made burrito or something like that, but it wasn't, so that was a bummer; nonetheless the burrito and coffee were superb. Amazing barista service, and the place was very comfy.
google avatar

Louisa H.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe with plenty of seating and outlets. They do have free wifi though, but albeit a little bit slow. They have different flavored water available as well. Staff was very friendly and much appreciated first thing in the morning! I had a hot oatmilk latte. It was warm and comforting but the coffee itself tasted a little bit flat. I couldn't taste the oatmilk too prominently either. It wasn't bad, but wasn't phenomenal. Will be coming back for the vibes!

Yelp
great concept and execution, with some things that could be improved. having just been to santa fe, where they have specialty chocolate houses and spicy drinking chocolate, i was missing that so much. randomly, i caught wind of valentina's recently and decided to check it out on a day off. the place is beautiful inside with artistic flourishes everywhere. it's almost more like a little gallery than a coffee shop. its layout makes it a little inefficient with the line to order running into one of the entrances/exits. they also seemed especially busy that day. almost all the seats were taken, and the pastry case was empty. but the staff (a one-person show on a busy day!) was still kind and patient with me as a first-timer. i ordered the habanero 4oz mocha. so nice the have the smaller sizes so i can really fully appreciate the punch of flavors. it was no doubt delicious. nice level of spice, and they use fulcrum coffee, which can stand up to the chocolate well. my one qualm... by the time i was down to the last couple sips, it was clear that not all of the chocolate had melted right or incorporated into the drink. there was a waxy grittiness and particulates. wishing the chocolate had been a little better made for it. also, as i left, i noticed that in the extremely cute front outside seating area was a swarm of flies congregating around the doorway. i bet there's a way to discourage them. would have sat and enjoyed my time there had it been less fly-y i'll be back though, thanks!

Yelp
Ordered latte, ham and cheese pastry and a cup of Assam tea. Pros: Great coffee Delicious pastry Absolutely gorgeous bathrooms Cons: Assam tea was just terrible. Very poor quality, bas tasting tea. It was so bad that even cream and sugar didn't make it better. True, high quality assam teas have an amazing flavor that's deep, strong, malty, somewhat sweet. It's very unique and cannot be mistaken for anything else. I am more of a black tea drinker, so for me this place was a disappointment.

Lili A.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated coffee spot. This place's ambiance is stunning up to their bathroom. It feels really nice to just be there and for that reason alone it is worth the visit. The service was acceptable. Unfortunately for me thats as far as its appeal goes. We ordered the Flor de Oaxaca and Tulum Latte with a strawberry danish. The danish was super tasty, the drinks were average. Advertised as a Mexican coffee spot this is really where it was such a disappointment for me. I was excited to support this business but I saw almost no Mexican influence in their offerings. There was ONE traditional dessert and then a few coffees with Mexican chocolate. There are great ways to do Mexican-American fusion, this was not it. Still, you can love this place for what it is, an aesthetically pleasing coffee spot.

Paul T.

Yelp
A cozy cafe with a Mexican vibe to the espresso drinks. We had a Valencia Mocha, which had orange rind strips. The aroma hit my nose the instant I picked it up. We need to come back to try more of the espresso drinks. They also have a few pastries (some from Macrina). The service was very friendly and quick.

Brett L.

Yelp
Apparently it was "too much" to ask the young gentleman if they had any sugar. So I stood over the condiment area, at the front counter, almost directly in front of this barista, looking high and low for a sweetener that wasn't Stevia or Sweet n Low. There was no line, no waiting customers.. somehow he was ignoring me, then I asked him this crazy question: " do you have any sugar"? His reply " we have whatever we have there".. Okeee... Then after I was halfway through my coffee, I peered over again, and there was now l, quietly a bunch of sugar! No word from the indifferent barista.. now why the heck did I tip you?! Ughh. A little indifference sure goes a long way. The bathroom was nice. Btw the sugar would have been in front of that lady.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
This is a really sleek ambiance for a nice Mexican coffee inspired shop. I had the Tulum latte which is coconut cream. I really enjoyed it. It was not too sweet but had flavor. I also have pastries to enjoy. I had the almond croissant, and it was delicious. You can also enjoy a sipping chocolate flight as well as tea , and I really love that they have fresh squeezed orange juice.

Yelp
With the loss of indie cafes Bauhaus and Alison's Coastal, I was glad to see that the folks that own Asadero Ballard breathed new life to the cafe space that formally housed Caffe Fiore. Valentina's Cafe is located along Leary Way and proximate to Ballard Avenue. I had scouted out its location once learning about this from other Yelpers mid March, but only had the opportunity and parking karma to finally visit midday today (3/29/22). I really liked the clean, detailed interior, lots of natural light, fresh tulips displayed, eclectic music playing, and various seating configurations available. There is also outdoor covered sidewalk seating. The baristas were both friendly and welcoming. I opted for a 16 oz Condesa Mocha ($7.25) and a pineapple empanada ($3.99) to indulge in while I was caught up on some correspondence. Nice selection of beverages, yogurt, and sweets. Nothing savory available though like soups, salads, or sandwiches. At most onsite, there was me writing and two others on their laptops. The rest of the customers that stopped in ordered takeout beverages during my 90 minute visit. Ballard is lucky to have a wide variety of indie cafes throughout their neighborhood. Check out the newest addition of Valentina's Cafe, definitely recommended!
google avatar

Andrew E.

Yelp
Great ambiance, reminds me of nicer coffee shops in.Mexico City. Barista very friendly. Great coffee. Even decaf was real good. Love the Mexican style coffees. May be one of the best new coffee places in Ballard.
google avatar

Ella H.

Yelp
The service here is impeccable. The baristas are so friendly, kind and knowledgeable of the espresso and menu overall. As a college student, this is my go-to place to study, get coffee with friends, or just go and read a good book. The environment is warm and lit so beautifully, and the bathrooms are literally a work of art. Again, I just can't say enough for the baristas. I have never met one of them I haven't enjoyed talking to, and they all seem happy in their work environment. I have been coming here almost daily for about 6 months, and the turnover rate is super low. I always get the Condensa mocha-- a super yummy Mexican chocolate mocha. It's delicious. They have every alternative milk I could name as well. 100% a must-go. If I could give 6 stars I would:).
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
I'm not sure when Valentina's Cafe opened in Ballard but I love the vibe of this place. We strolled in on a Sunday morning hearing house tracks playing in the background. The coffee selection looks awesome and I went with the Tulum Latte, which is coffee, steamed milk and coconut cream. If you're looking for a creamy coffee drink that's not sweet, that is the one to go for! Only thing I can comment for improvement is to call out names instead of the drink ordered. My partner ended up having to wait since someone grabbed his order right after mine was called.

Yelp
Checked out this place after the Farmer's Market this morning. Thanks to my friend Marie B for putting it in my radar again. I remember seeing a sign out side the old Fiori space on the bus to work in the morning. I like that they didn't change the interior much cause I always loved the feel of the space before. While I was enjoying-my coffee and reading I heard it was owned by the same people that own Asadero next door I believe. They use Fulcrum beans which is nice to see a Mexican caffe supporting a Latin owned roaster. They also carry Tres Leches cakes another Latin owned business, other baked goods like macarons, guava and pineapple empanadas. scones, some entremets. Also Ellenos yogurt. Service was friendly and helpful but the hours were a little weird they day I went cause the person who was supposed to open didn't show up so when I tried to first enter it was locked but the person covering the afternoon shift opened the gate and I was able to enter. I went with the Habanero Mocha: Single origin coffee, chile-spiced Mexican chocolate and steamed chocolate. I don't usually go with mochas but wanted to try this spicy version it actually wasn't too spicy but was tasty. They carry almond, coconut and hemp milks as alternatives which I appreciate often hard to find hemp milk at cafes which is usually my preferred choice. Also tried the guava empanada. Looking forward to hanging out here again.

Yelp
Valentina's has a nice selection of Mexican themed drinks. I got the condensa mocha -- the espresso was a bit washed out but the mocha and chocolate is really prevalent. I like that it's not really sweet and that they use cacao/dark chocolate bits. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu. The interior is really well done! I love the exposed filament bulbs/ambient lighting. It pairs really well with the brick walls and gives the place a nice cozy feel. They play some instrumental techno/beats in the background. Relatively loud from all the people talking and working. They did seem a bit delayed on getting drinks out -- maybe need to improve their workflow a bit (I'm no expert though haha). But they have great customer service and upgraded my drink in size.
google avatar

Jade T.

Yelp
If you're a coconut fan, try the Tulum latte! It's creamy and just the right amount of sweet every time. Baristas are always very friendly and fun to chat with

Yelp
Beautiful, relaxing space, with really good coffee drinks, in old ballard. The mocha with Mexican chocolate and orange is delicious. Also expensive little cakes that are big enough for 2. Yummy.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved the coffee and macarons here. There is plenty of seating for working remote. The staff is super kind and this is just all around a great spot to come and enjo

Yelp
The Habanero Mocha with chili was tasty. The barista was little rude. The interior is cozy;. Hope you get a better one than.e.

Yelp
What a pleasant find! Beautiful setting, CLEAN restrooms, and deliciously smooooooth coffee. Our favorite coffee comes from Peet's and Gourmet coffee. I'm not a fan of Zoka or Woods. The later seem to be on the oddly "tart" coffee bandwagon. This was not the case at Valentina's. The service was prompt and pleasant. We also came in after 6pm which happens to offer free pastries with a purchase of a drink! Super happy find as a coffee enthusiast. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Ana M.

Yelp
How lovely is this place! From the entrance you get a glance of their decore and lighting. Very busy. Good for them! But not too many tables for other customers. Some of them were just working with their laptops on a weekend. Parties like mine wouldn't have a table except for this amazing guy that moved to a spot in a smaller table. Thanks!! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered their coffee flight. One of those had chocolate but wait... that wasn't the only delicious thong!! Aaaall coffees/drinks are great!! I can't decide which was the best part between them or the concha with strawberries inside. Want to go there...

Julia C

Yelp
Always sparkling clean and great service. Valentina's has a relaxed and refined atmosphere. I always get the Tulum latte. Their pastries remind me of home.

Yelp
Valentina's Cafe is an absolute gem that I recently discovered, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the stunning interiors, the warm ambiance, and the exquisite attention to detail. This Mexican woman-owned cafe not only offers an enchanting setting but also serves beautifully crafted coffees and desserts that are truly a treat for the senses. My recent visit to Valentina's Cafe left me enamored by the Tulum latte, the Flor de Oxaca, and the delectable Raspberry Honey Cake. I am thrilled to share my extraordinary experience and wholeheartedly recommend this remarkable establishment to anyone in search of a truly exceptional dining experience. Upon entering Valentina's Cafe, I was immediately struck by the thoughtfulness and creativity put into the design of the space. The elegant combination of vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and cozy seating arrangements created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every corner of the cafe was tastefully adorned with charming decor, showcasing the owner's attention to detail and passion for creating a welcoming environment. The serene ambiance made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or indulge in a delightful dessert. Valentina's Cafe takes pride in its extraordinary coffee offerings, and my husband and I were not disappointed. My husband ordered the Tulum latte, a coconut cream latte that was as visually appealing as it was delicious. Served with a delicate butterfly on top, the latte provided a creamy and comforting flavor profile that left a lasting impression. I opted for the Flor de Oxaca, a house-made lavender latte that was an absolute delight. The gentle floral notes blended harmoniously with the velvety texture of the latte, creating a truly exquisite beverage that I savored with every sip. No visit to Valentina's Cafe would be complete without indulging in their mouthwatering desserts. I couldn't resist trying the Raspberry Honey Cake, and it exceeded all expectations. The cake was a perfect balance of flavors, with just the right amount of sweetness and a moist sponge that melted in my mouth. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail in the presentation, as the cake was elegantly garnished and served with care. Valentina's Cafe truly knows how to create desserts that are both visually stunning and a delight to the palate. One of the most endearing aspects of Valentina's Cafe is its Mexican woman owner. It is evident that her love for Mexican cuisine and culture is deeply ingrained in every aspect of the cafe, from the flavors to the ambiance. This personal touch adds an extra layer of authenticity and charm to the dining experience. Supporting this woman-owned business is not only a way to enjoy exceptional food and beverages but also a means to empower and uplift local entrepreneurs. In addition to the captivating dining area and delectable offerings, Valentina's Cafe boasts the most beautiful restrooms I have ever encountered. The attention to detail extends even to this often-overlooked aspect of a dining establishment. The restrooms are immaculately clean and thoughtfully decorated, reflecting the same artistic flair found throughout the entire cafe. It is clear that every element of Valentina's Cafe has been meticulously curated to provide a truly memorable experience. My visit to Valentina's Cafe was an enchanting experience from start to finish. The exceptional interiors, the carefully crafted coffees, the delectable desserts, all contribute to making this cafe a standout destination. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Yelp
Had a wonderful afternoon date at Valentina's Cafe. The staff, coffee, pastries and coziness of Cafe was wonderful. Looking forward to going back and trying their different drinks & yummies :)

Yelp
Love the homey, cozy, but still coffeeshop feel of this place! They have very unique drinks. I got a Flor de Oaxaca latte with oatmilk. It has notes of lavendar and is very warm and cozy. There are several people working amongst the ~8 tables, each of which seat 8. There are outlets next to each table as well, perfect for working! Excited to post up here to be productive. :)
