I loved this cafe! Super fast service and very friendly staff. Will be back this week again. I got the iced vanilla late with oat milk and it was perfect. Their espresso is so smooth and delicious. I am someone who doesn’t like too milky of a late and this was perfect. Syrups not too sweet and house made! Would highly recommend here!

Google
Received two bags of Valentine coffee roasters whole bean, one from Guatemala Huehuetenango and the other from Brazil Minas Gerais. Both are excellent and delicious. Alone they're great or as a 50/50 blend they're amazing!!!

Google
I've been a longtime customer here, and I have never been more ready to recommend a place than Valentine. Classy and simple drinks with flavour you wouldn't believe. Amazing smells and the roasted coffee never disappoints.

Google
Quick, quality, and fun service to get in and get out. Food: Good coffee as well as select food options. They have bakery here as well as sausage rolls. They’re actually mad decent if you need a lil snack. Atmosphere: nothing special. Casual. Fine for working inside or outside on their sidewalk patio. Service: really friendly and quick.

Google
After 13 years of singing their praises, the horrible customer service I received after getting a bad 5 lb bag was enough to stop buying. Not sure if it was a bad batch or quality suddenly changed, but they never felt the need to reply to my emails trying to figure out

Google
This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee because of the baristas that work here. They always are so helpful, welcoming, and kind. They are the reason I continue coming back to this location because it always fills up my cup (literally) to visit the workers here!

Google
Loved this cafe! Well-balanced, robust COFFEE during my stay and healthy, delicious lunches. I had the veggie lunch salad option. Portion filled me up but might be too light for most. Those ALMOND crescents BAKERY items were delicious, almost biscuit-like. Highly recommend you stop by or work remotely from this location (easy to close the shades if it gets too hot or sunny).

Google
Really great almond horn and coffee! Good pastry selection. One gluten free option from an external bakery.

Yelp
Valentine Coffee Roasters is definitely a great local coffee chain--better than Colectivo for sure. I appreciate that their fall specials are more creative than a PSL and a maple latte, like many spots will default to. While they do have a pumpkin spice latte, they also have a borgia mocha and a pistachio sage latte (what I ordered, which funnily enough has the same abbreviation for pumpkin spice latte). Consistently across locations (I've been to the West Allis spot and the Historic Third Ward shop in addition to Washington Heights) the coffee is always high quality and never too sweet.

Yelp
Chill coffee place, with a private parking lot. Enjoy your coffee in a ceramic cup of 12oz or get your cup to go. I got the Kenya drip and killed some time while sipping some good roast.

Yelp
I ordered a hazelnut iced latte with soy milk when I came to valentine coffee roasters. I thought it tasted very delicious. It was quite sweet which is to my liking. I ordered it to go on a Thursday early afternoon. The shop was relatively empty so it looked like a nice place to do work. There was low lighting, dark wood tables, medium loud angsty music and a LOT of greenery/plants. I thought it was very well decorated. It was nice how they had several alternate options other than regular plain coffee (rishi tea, alcohol coffee, sweet treats, coffee specials, flavored coffees). They had a water dispenser at the front of the shop which I love to see as it shows they care for the customers and welcome their stay. There was a large rack with several items for sale such as coffees, alcohol, cups and coffee brewing tools. My one word of constructive criticism is that there were no sugar free coffee flavors. It would be a nice option to have for those who are diabetic and would like to enjoy a fun sweet flavor or for those working on weight loss. Most places have some sort of sugar free vanilla or version of simple syrup. I would've been really happy to see that.

Yelp
I truly can't speak more highly of Valentine - definitely my favorite coffee spot in Milwaukee. Their Bering Sea blend is by far my favorite drip coffee. I love the lattes too - super smooth. Service is always friendly and speedy.

Yelp
(From September 2021) Probably one of my favorite coffee shops that I've visited. High quality coffee beverages combined with a passionate staff and a neighborly location make this an awesome spot for that pick-me-up. I love their vanilla bean latte; it had the right amount of consistency and flavor. The smell of the beans and vanilla taste will put smiles on your face and excite your tastebuds. Paired with their biscotti it's the breakfast of champions. The shop is small and they've made adjustments to handle COVID. There is seating outside if you want to enjoy your beverage. Don't forget to pick up a bag of roast for your home brewery as they've sell roasts from all over the world. If you don't believe me, the signs say it all in the shop!

Yelp
We stopped by here after lunch at the Milwaukee Public Market (which was delicious seafood from St. Paul's!). The interior was smaller than we expected; seating was only along the window, and this made for odd, silhouetted lighting. Anyway, my wife ordered a caramel latte and I ordered a cappuccino. We also got a pecan scone on the side. The pecan scone was pretty good. My wife's drink was very good. We liked that it wasn't cloying like the flavored drinks elsewhere. My cappuccino was just okay. This is my go-to drink, so I always order it whenever I try a new coffee place. Unfortunately the foam was sad. A good foam is what makes a good cappuccino. Sparrow Coffee has a very thick, rich, creamy foam on their capp. It comes down to having a good machine and a skilled barista to work the wand. I'd say 3.5 stars overall.

Yelp
Beautiful little shop and friendly atmosphere. I'm not a coffee drinker but I stopped to get a gift for my mom. I was offered a free coffee or espresso shot with my bag purchase but I declined. I love that they sell whole brand but will grind for no charge and it barely takes a minute to do so. All the coffee bags are marked as to the type of roast and acidity level. That made it easier to find what I was sent to purchase. There's also some baked goods and merchandise available for purchase. The shop is very tidy and aesthetically pleasing, cozy. I believe there would be more indoor seating if not for the pandemic still creating a need for distancing. But, if you need coffee beans or a cup to go, I can attest that it smells great. Coffee drinkers will need to weigh in on the taste!

Yelp
Greatest coffee shop in Milwaukee. So thankful I live in Wauwatosa now so I don't have to drive 20 min out of my way.... Which I would do because it's so worth it. Customer service is great, always playing good music, Grebe's bakery items, on top of phenomenal coffee? You won't find a better spot. I'll never get over how great this specific location is.

Yelp
So this review may be a tad bias since we live 3 blocks away from their Washington Heights location, however after sampling all the wonderful local coffee shops Milwaukee has to offer, I can say with confidence that Valentine is the best of them all! The Heights is the original location but they recently opened a new location in the Third Ward which also serves a full menu of breakfast and lunch options. They are in the midst of transitioning the roastery to this location and the original location will convert that space into a kitchen! Stoked to be able to order breakfast, sandwiches, soups, and salads in addition to baked goods in the Heights.

Yelp
We have been customers, consumers and fans of Valentine Coffee since its inception several years ago. I can say, with confidence, that I am one of their first and oldest (not in age, LOL) customers still partaking in their roast coffee. In fact, the only coffee we drink at the house is Valentine; both decaf and regular. The shop carries locally produced scones, cookies, power bars and a couple of other types of pastry that are all delicious and fairly priced. Up until the Covid-19 debacle, I regularly came into the shop for a scone and a cup for a quick breakfast or early lunch, but mostly just to get out of the house, as I home office. Unfortunately, under the Covid-19 restrictions, the shop is closed for in-store sitting/drinking but is doing take out and parking lot/outdoor table seating. This is the perfect location to get your morning Joe or bags of local roasted coffee that is OUTSTANDING and the best we've had. The folks that work here are all professional baristas and coffee roasters, not to forget that are very friendly and service oriented people, too.

Yelp
Update on 6/11/19 & 6/12/19: returned and tried their seasonal Lavender Latte (hot) and vanilla bean latte (hot). The lavender latte was very flora and calming and the lavender taste stayed in my mouth for a long time. The coffee itself tasted not very strong. So that is something perfect for when you feel you want not just caffeine but a bit more fun/flavor. The vanilla bean latte was very smooth, rich and sweet. But the level of sweetness was just right - I mean you would definitely say it is a sweet drink but it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. Previous review: I have bought bags of coffee beans from them, and they are all in season, fresh and great beans (I judged beans by their colors, smells, shapes, and the feelings when I hold them in hand). However, for some reason I never sat down and tried their latte or mocha which are recommended by many people until recently. Sooo, I went on a weekday morning to grab a large sea salt mocha (all sizes include 2 shots as standard) and a power scone. First of all, temperature of the drink was right, which was very important for an espresso drink to me. Second, the milk foam was light yet dense. Well done! Third, the drink was no over sweet but smooth and rich. In addition, the power scone which is not sweet yet dense and nutty went very well with the drink. So together, they really warmed and energized me up! Atmosphere was great. Staff were roasting or making coffee, some customers were reading, others like me were grabbing coffee for work.

Yelp
Valentine is one of my favorite coffee shops in Milwaukee and is my go-to for buying beans. They also offer a cup of coffee to go with a bag of beans purchase, which is nice. The service is always quick and baristas are kind. It's a cool little local coffee shop and it's worrying giving a try!

Yelp
I like Valentine's coffee and am familiar with their Drexel Town Square location. This place is great! Cute mid-sized space with different seating areas, as well as outside seating. Service was good, our bar drink was made quickly, and my drip coffee from the self-serve station was great! Pro Tip: Just drop your cash in the self-serve coffee station if you're in a hurry, and that's all you're getting. Otherwise, they're able to also do pour over coffee of any of their roasts. Bakery and other items to the left of the checkout, and nice swag display to the right. Very nice, Valentine!

Yelp
Great experience when I walked in the first time! They recommended some popular drinks and bites to eat. I had to try the in house roasted vanilla bean latte with oat milk and it was incredible with a bit of creaminess and super enjoyable to drink. Would definitely recommend it!

Yelp
I love local coffee! If you're in the area and love coffee make sure to check this place out, they have free WiFi and drinking water and friendly staff. Great variety of coffee drinks from your normal espresso drinks to gourmet Sea Salt Dark chocolate caramel mocha and a hip pour over coffee. Note the pour over, you have to wait to taste this pour over goodness. I come here not as often as I'd like so the last time I went, I noticed they serve libations as well and some pastry treats. If you buy a bag of coffee beans you get a free coffee, so take advantage of it, I sure did! Did I say the baristas are creative too? They can make cool coffee art! Great love to sip and hang out or work! Also don't forget to use your small shops card to procure some rewards!

Yelp
Their vanilla bean iced latte is quite delicious- not too sweet and the coffee is strong and flavorful. It's a perfect balance!

Yelp
Valentine Coffee Roasters is my jam. Valentine thoughtfully serves up responsibly farmed, sourced, and roasted coffee in a comfortable and impeccably clean environment. Began coming here when I first moved to Milwaukee and was staying at an Airbnb in Washington Heights. Now? They're one of my favorite cups of awesome in town. My favorite roast? Their Bering Sea blend. Dark as death and rich as Bering Sea gold, if you like dark roasts--this is the roast for you. My favorite espresso drink? Their dark sea salt mocha. They pair high quality chocolate with rich expresso to craft a beverage that is smooth and decadently delicious. The only thing I would mention is that though I love the dark sea salt mocha hot, I'm not a huge fan of it iced. Not sure why? But, it is my go-to hot espresso drink at Valentine. So good, in fact, that I have a hard time convincing myself to try anything else--I just can't resist it! The baristas are always affable and efficient. Their dining/table situation makes this a great spot for anything from a date, to a meet up with friends, to a business meeting, or even a spot to hunker down and work for an afternoon. So glad I was introduced to this spot so early in my Milwaukee life! Great coffee is a necessity in any city and Valentine brings it! Get to it!

Yelp
On a perfectly soggy, crummy day, I said to myself: "Treat yoself." Best decision I made all week. I didn't order a lot, just a dark chocolate sea salt mocha and a Cranky Al's mini cruller. But from the first sip of that drink, I asked myself why I ever bother going to that place that starts with Star and ends with bucks. Euphoric is a word that comes to mind from that first sip. This makes that chain seem like the Taco Bell of coffee, and you probably know my feelings on Taco Bell. The cruller was amazing as well. Super nice dudes working here, they're laid back, the folks in the lobby were laid back. I mean, who doesn't want to go somewhere where everyone is chill? I will be back again and again, I don't care how out of the way it is for me. I think I need some stickers, too.

Yelp
This place is the perfect place to go when you need a cup on the go! Due to the limited space for seating, I wouldn't recommend coming here to sit down to hang out, but I think it's the perfect place to grab a delicious cup of coffee to go! I got the vanilla bean latte and it was delicious. It was a perfect blend of flavors. The service was phenomenal. The employees were so friendly and sure do know how to make a good cup of coffee. Parking is available on the side of the building.

Yelp
Stopped in here a couple times recently. I like the inviting atmosphere, the friendly staff and the good coffee. I will be back :)
google avatar

Yelp
They have pretty good coffee. A lot of varieties and options. They usually only have a couple styles they are brewing so you either have to get the daily selection or purchase a bag of grounds from them. We ask for an extra shot everytime and they have forgotten it 5 out of the last 6 times for some reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Valentine is hands-down my favorite coffee in the city. We buy all of our coffee there. Mondays, my day off work, I start my day getting a coffee there. Sam, one of the baristas is awesome. He always has a fun story or anecdote to share, knows a lot of the customers by name and is always quick to welcome patrons in or make suggestions on what to order. I also love that they are now serving Hatched Hand pies yummmmm!!
google avatar

Kanika M.

Yelp
Perfect place to study. It's about 10 minutes from Marquette's campus, away from the city. Light music in the background with minimal other noise. Parking is free on the street and easy to find. I got a Kenya coffee, one of of 10-15 different types of pour overs they offer. Slow paced here so don't expect your drink ASAP. They also forgot to give me my coffee... but then gave me a complementary one for next time so I'm ok with it. Not a place for you if you are in a rush!
google avatar

Alisa S.

Yelp
Valentine is where it's at! This is one of my top two, local coffee roasters (the other starts with an H). Thank you, Valentine, for producing local, sustainable, fairly traded coffee, and for providing an impeccable coffee experience. Whether it's espresso, Bering Sea, or Bali Blue Moon, the coffee experience is certainly a pleasant one--smooth, bold, flavorful, and all that jazz.
google avatar

Na X.

Yelp
It's cute but the decor and set up does remind me of a generic starbucks coffee shop. The baristas are friendly and I love how you can see into the back area with the glass etc. they def have safety precautions in place. I think it would be really cute to sip coffee outside when it is warm here. They also open early unlike some of the other coffee shops.
google avatar

Morgan T.

Yelp
Our favorite local spot for coffee, to sip on and beans to take home! Husband loves the iced mocha, year round. Roasted in small batches, incredibly fresh & smooth. Staff is so kind and always cheerful, just the best place all around, a Vliet street gem!
google avatar

Jenny B.

Yelp
Valentine is one of my favorite places for coffee in the Milwaukee area. Their macchiato has saved me from my workday slumber on multiple occasions, and for that I am eternally grateful. The coffee shop is small and I wish their layout was a bit different. All of their tables cater to parties of 4 and I end up seeing all tables taken by people by themselves. A communal table could do a lot for the space. I tend to take my coffee to go as this is a consistent occurrence. I'm a fan of the Bali Blue Moon pour over as well. They have a grab and go coffee station by the window if you're looking just to grab a cup to-go quickly. The baristas are always friendly -- they have never gotten any of my orders wrong, and work really efficiently. If you ever find yourself on Vliet, check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
Priced so I could go every day and not feel bad about it. Good selection, service, quality. Had a lemon pastry and a cold brew .
google avatar

Yelp
Great selection, coffees from different parts of the world. Great pastries, small seating area but cozy. Great outside wall painting for cute pictures! Hands down Milwaukee's coffee shops are amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this coffee shop! Moved to the area 2+ years ago and felt lucky and thankful to find a great coffee destination within walking distance. Weekends at Valentines always seem to be jamming with a good crowd of all kinds of people socializing, studying, meeting professionally, playing games, etc. Good community vibe. The coffee drinks here are fantastic (recommend their delicious vanilla bean latte) and service is top notch!

Yelp
Summary: great coffee (seriously their coffee was not bitter/sour at all) great atmosphere for getting work done, and great location! Maybe my #1 coffee place in MKE, have to go back to get my 2nd feel for it. Loved this place! Went on a Saturday from noon to about 4:09 to get work done. The place was ideal for sitting and chatting with friends or getting work done. They're window bar seats have lots of outlets and the free WiFi is there of course. Taking 1 star off bc they didn't know the ingredients in their baked goods. As a sweets lover but also as someone allergic cinnamon, ingredients lists are crucial. -iced dark chocolate mocha: divine, esp if you're a dark chocolate lover like me. I love that 75%+ cocoa bitterness, loved that they did it iced for me too. -cold brew: loved their cold brew, just your genuine coffee taste, no sourness or bitterness they take their coffee super serious Def would come back, would love it if they have a bigger coffee shop and maybe some savory hot foods/snacks.

Yelp
The BEST coffee in Milwaukee! Their cortado and dark chocolate sea salt mocha are amazing! The staff is always very friendly and hipster. This location is pretty small (about five tables), usually busy, and has a warm, rustic vibe. Even though it's busy, I always get my drink quickly. They do have their own parking lot, which makes finding a spot to park on Vilet much easier. This coffee shop is a must try if you're visiting Milwaukee!
google avatar

Yelp
Valentine makes my favorite coffee in Milwaukee. They have brewed coffee but offer pourovers of all other coffees. The staff are exceptionally friendly. They have snacks, too, including a couple gluten free options. Otherwise there are muffins and some baked goods from local bakeries. The Vliet location is small but nice, and is open a bit later with beer and wine offerings. The Oak Creek location is much bigger and has a lot of seating and great light for working remotely. I just wish they were open later for late night study sessions!

Susan V.

Yelp
I really love the coffee. But when I went there was only outside seating and limited seating inside. It's a pick up and go kind of place.
google avatar

Cherie S.

Yelp
I live around the corner from Valentine. Their coffee is so delicious and their Covid protocols are very sound. I love walking over on the weekend for a cup of coffee and their large bags for home last so long. A great neighborhood place.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that I love my coffee and I love adding coffeemate. That being said, I was visiting my mom and childhood home and as it happened, there wasn't coffee or coffeemate because A.) My mom doesn't drink coffee and B.)She doesn't need coffeemate because of A. So I went driving around looking for my fix when I went on yelp and saw it was nearby. Let me say first of all, holy Michael Jackson. There's so many different choices. The Barista saw my confusion as he asked me if I had any questions. I asked him right off the bat, "What would you recommend to someone who likes coffee but wants it to be sweet?" That's when I found out about the Ethiopian coffee. "You don't have to add sure and it tastes like blueberries."So I paid him and went back to my moms and Holy Michael Jackson, it was freaking delicious. First sip was coffee with a burst of blueberries. And then I messed it up by saying to myself, "Let me add my coffeemate to see what's it'll taste like." Terrible decision on my part. Because the beauty of their coffee was beaten up by the horrid sugary flavor of my coffeemate. I gagged as I realized my mistake. Tldr crowd; Order their Ethiopian coffee. Don't put sugar in it. Savour the beauty, SAVOR IT!

Yelp
I wondered why the line was so short at Colectivo, and then realized it's no longer there! The replacement is Valentine. I got a dark roast coffee with an extra shot of espresso and find the coffee to be great. Apparently they have a Roastery in downtown Milwaukee and they've broken into the airport market. Good for them! They serve hot breakfast sandwiches and muffins and the usual stuff a Starbucks would have. The prices were pretty good too. Come now while the lines are short!
google avatar

Bobb S.

Yelp
Clean. Sleek. Sophisticated. That's how I define the space at Valentine. With coffee roasted in-house, I am a big fan. Nothing complicated. Just great service and great coffee.
google avatar

Vannessa M.

Yelp
Delightful. If I had to only use one word to describe this place, it would be delightful. I love the vibe Valentines emits with their massive windows inviting all of the natural light in. Then it's easy to get distracted with all of the roast options they have. The barista was so kind in helping me select a good roast according to my preferences (and there were many options). The fact that they don't serve drip coffee excited me knowing my coffee will be fresh. I don't make pour over coffee myself at home, so it feels like a treat to have someone put that extra care into my coffee for me. I wish they had longer hours for those empty days where I'd rather hang around anywhere but my own place, but it's still a nice place to go for work or catch up with another.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Oh Valentine, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. You are local. 2. You sell to my favorite local diner: North Avenue Grill. 3. You are delicious. Not burnt like Starbucks, not bitter like Collectivo. 4. You are all about the coffee. Sure, you have a few tasty bits of pastry from other awesome local purveyors, but you do not try to be a café, a grocery store, a nightclub, a library, a pickup joint, a "home office" for writers working on that next great American novel, a clothing outlet, a fair-trade emporium, or a day care center for Tosa Tammys. 5. You are unique. Anyone else doing pour overs? I don't think so. 6. You believe in educating your customers. In short; don't go changing'. I love thee for what thou art.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
We will only buy our coffee beans from Valentine. I prefer roasts that are on the low end for acidity and Valentines bearing sea blend and Bali blue moon are super smooth and rich. They are also super clean as far as Covid precautions. Love Valentine!
google avatar

Yelp
You know how people who write bad reviews are like "I would give ZERO stars if I could"? Well, my review for Valentine is the opposite - I would give them ALL the stars if I could. And you know that's a pretty serious thing when a person is not a coffee drinker. First, there is coffee. It is very good coffee served in a fancy, pour over style. My husband absolutely loves it and actively seeks out places that serve Valentine. So now you know about the coffee. What don't you know? They do LOTS of other stuff. Good stuff. Stuff you should be partaking in RIGHT NOW. I'm talking about coffee infused cocktails (Dark N' Stormy 4EVA). I'm talking about a really good albeit small wine and beer list. I'm talking about small plates. That's right - they now have 100% locally sourced small plates. That means cheese and charcuterie plates. There's something called "bread" which delivers a warm loaf of beer bread paired with bacon and onion jam. The jam is THE jam, friends. There's something called "spreads" which involves smoked lentil spread from Story Hill BKC, pate from Meritage and raw cheese spread from someone awesome (can't remember) and a Rocket Baby baguette. You need these things in your life. So you get all of these delights, plus some of the friendliest and knowledgeable baristas in the city. Why not do a West Side progressive dinner night? Hit up Valentine for an app and creative coffee cocktail, grab some small plates at Meritage and finish up at Cold Spoons. DO IT. DO IT NOW.

Yelp
Awesome experience! They didn't even laugh at me when I told them I knew nothing about coffee. He then asked what kind of coffee I usually drank and my response "Tea". To which he provided me with Rishi Teas Turmeric Lemon blend. Now pastries I know.... They had BACON Cookies!! I almost turned into Cookie Monster. I also got a sausage roll that had stone ground mustard in it. It was really good. He said that the bake goods come from local purveyors that sell their coffee in return. It is good to see local business supporting one another. It is on my way to work so I will be stopping by to get educated on coffee.

Yelp
I'm obsessed. Just moved into the Heights last month and this is by far my favorite neighborhood spot so far. Let me get down to it: 1. The atmosphere is clean, simple, and modern - inviting. Simply put, this is place I want to be. 2. The staff here are extremely warm and friendly - and funny! I enjoy chatting and laughing with them every time I stop in, and I knew most all names in the first week. That's a rare thing, but this is just that kind of place. "Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name..." 3. The coffee is NO JOKE. Pour-over is the method of choice here, and each cup is made with care. I'm on a Costa Rica kick, but every roast I've tried so far has been unique and rich. They know their coffees, too, and can give you great recommendations based on what you like. 4. DAT LATTE. I have sampled the Vanilla Bean and the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt (made with Indulgence's local chocolate) - and they're simply heavenly. One of a kind, not too sweet, just the right amount of...everything. I can't describe it; you'll have to try for yourself. I can't rave enough about this place. One visit and you'll be a regular, too. *P.S. I bought the Valentine to-go mug for my morning coffee and I SWEAR it keeps things hot for 5-6 hours. Magic?! You get 10% off the already-reasonable prices every time with the mug, too! *P.P.S. If you work at Valentine and you're reading this...I love you. Too soon? Too bad, I don't take it back.

Yelp
This bean roaster is scientific! Completely impressed by the set-up of this place, Valentine is doing things right. Aaron was extremely informative and give us the low-down on the reasons and benefits of the "pour-over" technique. From the precise grind, perfect water temp, and filtering, I walked away with an iced coffee unlike any other. Now, when I hit up a biz and check-out the menu, I'll be looking to see if they're serving up Valentine coffee. If not, a card will certainly be dropped in the suggesstion box.

Yelp
I got a free cup of coffee with my Yelp check in. I got a Brazillian dark roast that the barista offered and I liked it a lot. It was strong and rich. The coffee paired well with the caramel cinnamon biscotti and almond horn pastries. Yes! I got two sweet treats. I couldn't help myself. The almond horn is like a smaller version of an almond croissant. It was soft and flakey. The almond flavor was in every bite. The biscotti tasted really good when you dunk it in the coffee. I didn't regret my decision. The cafe has a row of parking spots in the parking lot next to the building. The spots are reserved for their customers. I will definitely come back especially since it is close to the places I work. This is a great place for a good pick-me-up coffee.

Yelp
If you have not tried Valentine coffee, you must really try it. I discovered it at the Tosa farmer market two years ago. These people are so passionate about coffee it is awesome. You can really taste the love in everything they do. This location is mainly designed for roasting the coffee beans. They recently opened up a coffee bar. I would say there are about 10 tables inside and six tables outside. They also offered pastry from blues egg. If you love coffee, you need to stop in. There are no froufrou coffee drinks here. Just delicious coffee. If you buy a bag of coffee, you get a coffee free.

Yelp
The coffee here is fantastic. It's my favorite that we've had in Milwaukee. The only thing that I wasn't a hug fan of was the environment. It's a small shop that I felt was a good grab-and-go spot, but I didn't feel like I wanted to sit and talk for an hour like I do at a lot of shops, and there also wasn't really ideal outdoor seating (3/5 environment). The staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed interacting with them, and the parking was very easy, as there were both options on the street and in their lot. If you're looking to sit and socialize, going on a date, or looking for a good study spot, I'd probably pick somewhere else. Overall, however, I gave them 5 stars because the coffee was absolutely delicious and the people were great, and I'd highly recommend getting the coffee if you're not wanting to sit and sip it there!

Yelp
Valentine Coffee Roasters: nice folks that take their coffee pretty damn seriously. (Do you take your coffee seriously?) Good. You should. Coffee is serious business. Valentine's in a somewhat "up and coming"/mostly residential area just outside 'Tosa called Washington Heights, and while we all know "up and coming" neighborhoods may take years to actualize to their fullest potential (because Milwaukee), it's businesses like Valentine that drive and expedite that process. Good on you, Valentine, and good for the Heights that this love story exists where it does. (... making Milwaukee better and more cohesive one strategically placed small business endeavor at a time!) Much like Kelly R and Joanna T, I appreciate the well-lit, minimal/sparse and clean interior. I also appreciate the coffee. Simply put, it's good. Thoughtfully sourced and roasted, it's approachable enough for the novice/casual drinker and nuanced enough for the Epicurean-focused nerd. I dig. I'm a pour-overer-at-homer myself so I also dig their being like-minded on the execution tip. I love that you get all the flavor without the viscosity from a pour over. It's immersion and that makes sense to me, especially if you're starting with a quality product. Bottom line: solid, drinkable coffee, folks who appreciate the craft, homegrown small business. Check 'em out! The Heights are wicked cute and if you appreciate the *robust* coffee scene we have here in MKE (har har har), this is definitely a must-try/must-stop.
