Valentine Texas Bar

AMAZING PLACE! Driving to to see the Prada place and on the way guess what we found? This amazing place, super cool, great options for Sri la and there is a Tesla charging station, free. Must stop in you drive by. Staff is fantastic and friendly.

I had the most Anthony Bourdain experience of my life at this bar. It’s 8pm, pour down rain, and starting to get dark. I remember the signs from Marfa for the bar that’s 2 miles from the Prada store in Marfa… “Valentine Bar” and I see it up on my left so I turn in. I ran to the front door to avoid the storm, but the door is locked—- “dang”, as I turn around I hear a friendly voice of someone I would come to know as Jason say… Oh sorry, come on in! Jason proceeded to introduce me to Bunny (his very cool black cat) and the history of the town and bar itself. From there I had the best dive bar experience of my life. I got to add a dollar to the wall, I had great conversations, and by the end of the night I walked away with a new t-shirt and some stickers to share with friends. This is honestly the coolest hole-in-the-wall in West Texas and I can’t wait to return.

If you are dusty, tired and parched after a long day of shopping at Prada Marfa, then this is the bar for you! Outstanding service, very cold beer, and the inside of this place is far and above better than any other bar in town! Be sure to check out the amazing taxidermy specimen.

We drove past this place on the way in and again on the way out into Marfa. Tourist remorse kicked in, so we turned back—and we’re so glad we did! Great atmosphere, super friendly folks, ice-cold beer, and endless things to look at. One of the coolest bars we’ve ever been to!

Reviving this old bar . It's been around since 1937 I believe. Bar in front and barbershop was in the back . It has taken a little time for them to get it open . But it's fast becoming a must stop and visit. Note you visit sign a dollar bill and add it with many from over the years . The owners are fantastic people and always helpful . Lol they are learning big step from Austin tx. To here but they are becoming local family and they are welcome. Enjoy the atmosphere and the people here . Dog friendly and people friendlyand kid friendly. Have a cold one inside or out back . And of course 3 miles down the road is Prada

This place is so unique! Is a must stop on your way to Marfa! The service is great and they make you feel at home.

This place is absolutely awesome, in the dirty dive bar way that I love. Jason and the bartender were so welcoming and over generous. Bob the cat had me laughing the whole time. My dog got herself a little boyfriend while she was there. They let us park and plug in our rv overnight for free, told us we could use the bathroom throughout the night. They are open when they want to be and as long as they want to be. Just serve beer but that gets the job done. Thanks for everything guys! We will be back whenever we can.

Always a fun time at the Valentine Texas bar. Great place to meet locals. Lots of History here.
