"Brookhaven Italian restaurant Valenza mixes chocolatey extremes into its bread pudding — that is, the white chocolate bread pudding is topped with dark chocolate gelato. A helping of drizzled sauce ties the flavors together." - Sarra Sedghi

Valenza is a nice, cozy restaurant in Downtown Brookhaven. It's in a beautiful area. The dark & moody ambiance of this establishment was incredible. Many people were dining there for a multitude of reasons: a family member showing off this restaurant to their loved ones visiting in town, business meetings, women at the bar having girls' night, date-night couples, people who chose to dine solo, a simple family dinner, etc. I observed it all while dining here. It proves that this spot is the go-to place for all that I mentioned and more. Parking is free and easy. They also offer valet. The hostess sat us immediately. We arrived at this restaurant about 30 minutes before they closed, and they still accommodated my date & I. We also left about 30 minutes past their closing time. The establishment did not rush us out the door, although they close at 9p on Wednesdays. They encouraged us to take our time. My Prosecco was thirst-quenching. I had 2 flutes of that. My date ordered 2 glasses of red wine, which tasted good. The waiter rattled off the restaurant's Wednesday night special, to which I ended up ordering the scallops. My scallop dinner was delectable. I'll definitely order again. I forgot the name of what my date ordered, but I did capture his meal in the photos/videos. What he ordered tasted amazing. For dessert, I ordered the bread pudding, topped with chocolate ice cream. It was scrumptious. Last night was my first night dining here, and I'll definitely return. Before my date took me to this restaurant, he prefaced it by saying that whenever his family is in town, he takes them there. So just by him saying that, I knew I was in good hands by being treated to this restaurant. So anyways, I enjoyed my experience here and can't wait for my next visit!!! P.S. I wish I would have remembered our server's name to give him a shout-out, but he's captured in the video. He was attentive and checked on us frequently throughout our time dining inside. He is great at what he does.

We had a truly wonderful dining experience at Valenza! Morgan waited on us, and the service was absolutely exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. For dinner, we enjoyed the roasted duck special, brick-pressed chicken, and ravioli, all of which were beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The roasted duck, in particular, was a standout dish, cooked to perfection. For dessert, we indulged in the white chocolate bread pudding and the apple crostata—both were incredible! The bread pudding was rich and decadent, while the crostata was perfectly balanced with a flaky crust and delicious apple filling. Overall, Valenza exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be returning for another fantastic meal!

We chose Valenza Italian Restaurant and Bar to celebrate an important occasion. Loved absolutely everything about Valenza Restaurant. Great menu, presentation, service. Such selection of sitting: booth, table, indoor, outdoor, at the bar,… Staff is pleasant, smiling, attentive, Unique dessert selection.

Google
Valenza is a fabulous restaurant! We had a fairly large group, and we were treated very well. The staff was attentive and efficiently brought out our foods. The ambience of this place was very nice. It felt refined yet still casual and fun. I recommend trying the Shirley Temple, which was perfectly sweet and fizzy. The food definitely spoke for itself. Our appetizers, the assortment of bread, meats, and cheese and the calamari, were both quite delectable. The Caesar salad was also light and refreshing. I ordered the bucatini for my entree, and it did not disappoint. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was creamy and savory. I highly recommend this place if you want a relaxing night to catch up with friends!

Google
This is a great restaurant. While it is Italian we had no pasta at our table for 4. The plated meals were excellent. And the ice cubes in the cocktails tell you that people here pay attention to what they are serving you, both drinks and food. I had the fish special and if they have something mentioned as the special - someone at your table should order it! Excellent wine selection.

It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we reached out, Katelyn was incredibly responsive and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect for a professional setting — quiet enough for meaningful conversation, yet lively enough to create a welcoming ambiance. The staff was attentive, ensuring all our needs were met without being intrusive. The private space provide was equipped with all the necessary technology, including a projector and screen, making the setup seamless. The room was set up to allow everyone to comfortably view the presentation while enjoying their meal. As for the food, it was excellent. The menu offered a variety of options. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every dish, and the team ensured that dietary preferences and restrictions were accommodated with ease. The service was impeccable, with the staff working in perfect sync to ensure that our courses arrived on time, allowing us to focus on the discussion at hand. Overall, the experience was smooth, professional, and enjoyable. Thank you!

Google
So we decided to go here for the wife's birthday and everything was amazing. The only issue was noise but after the 4th drink you really stop caring. The service is on point and we loved all the food. Also their drink sneak up on you. It is definitely one of the best restaurants in atl.

Google
Has a cozy neighborhood vibe, with friendly staff and plenty of seating. It got pretty loud, so we had to raise our voices to be heard, but that wasn’t a big deal. The food was not too bad, and portions were fine. They have a vast alcohol selection too. You can park for free across the street or do the valet behind the restaurant.

Yelp
Everything was great! Food was delicious, from the appetizers to the entrees. We were too stuffed to try the desserts. Atmosphere was great. The staff was very attentive. We will be going back. Next time I'll get pics of the good. Although the restaurant was packed, and a few people were waiting, we were able to get seated immediately, as I had made reservations for three.

Rhea C.

Yelp
It was an odd experience.. I live in the area so I thought it would be a good idea to dine there. The service was unwelcoming and the food was lack luster. I've been there before so this whole experience took me by surprise! I was understand the impression that this way a neighbor restaurant, but clearly for some neighbors not all. I won't return to a place that clearly doesn't want me there.

Dmitry P.

Yelp
I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could. I like their margarita and 4 cheeses pizza quite a lot. We mostly take out. But this is definitely not the best pizza I tried in my life (hence no 5 stars)

Miranda S.

Yelp
Everything at Valenza was fantastic! The ambiance was very romantic and had a very welcoming vibe for an upscale place. All of the ingredients in the stracciatella salad were very fresh and the pastas were amazing! I ordered the trotolle and it was so flavorful, if you like italian sausage I would definitely recommend!

Kacey L.

Yelp
Went for a work related dinner. The restaurant is cute, bigger than you realize. Got the short rib pasta and it was *chefs kiss*. Can't wait to go back.

Taylor C.

Yelp
Some of the best Italian food I've had in Atlanta! We started off with the bread and the roasted carrot special. Both were delicious but overall the entrees were the best part. The Agnolotti was amazing and left me wanting to come back asap just to get it again! We got the white chocolate bread pudding with dark chocolate gelato and this was delicious! Had a great dinner and service was amazing as well!

Jen L.

Yelp
We throughly enjoyed this restaurant!! We made a reservation for a party of 6 on a Sunday and had no problem getting seated as soon as we arrived. There was plenty of room at our round table for all of us. Our server started by telling us the specials that day. I thoroughly enjoyed the special Summer Salad with fresh peaches and beets. It was spectacular! We did order bread as well which wasn't great. It was hard and not worth $6 but that's really my only complaint. For dinner, I ordered the Agnolotti stuffed with delicious tender short rib. It was served in a mushroom sauce with corn. It was a perfect portion and flavor! Everyone at our table enjoyed their entrees as well. For dessert, I ordered the bread pudding with chocolate gelato. It was soooo good!! I highly recommend this restaurant for all ages and party sizes! There's plenty of room for everyone and there's a cute patio area as well.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been to Valenza several times, which is why I found it surprising that I apparently had yet to write a Yelp review. I tried to upload as many pictures as I could from our dinners here, but Yelp only allows 10. Appetizers We have tried: -fritto misto (calamari, ga. red shrimp, cod, lemon, capers) -cozze (mussels, roasted garlic, fennel, sambuca, tomatoes, white wine, ciabatta) -bietole arrosto (roasted beets, buratta, fennel, mercier apples, arugula, radish, lemon) -pane (our rosemary foccacia and rustic sourdough, whipped ricotta) -polpo (grilled mediterranean octopus, panelle, castelvetrano olives, chickpea, pine nuts, aleppo) -meatballs Looking at my list, I'm impressed with us that we've had so many different appetizers! I remember on our very first evening at Valenza, our waiter brought us complimentary meatballs which were exquisite. If I remember correctly, they may have come from Vero Pizzeria, their sister restaurant. That was very kind of him, and it was very appreciated. You honestly can't go wrong with any of these appetizers... they are all incredible. Entrées We have tried: -capellini (fresh heirloom tomato, basil, parmesan) -linguine nero (squid ink pasta, ruby red shrimp, 'nduja, green onion, tomato, white wine) -salmone (grilled steelhead salmon, umbria lentils, swiss chard, cauliflower) -special: scallops Both pastas are yummy. The capellini is very light. There isn't a ton of flavor here, but the fresh basil made the dish. The linguine nero has a lot more going on than the capellini. It's fresh and flavorful, and visually stunning. Beware, your unmentionables may turn black in the following days after consuming it, as your body digests it. Do not be alarmed. It's just the squid ink. This will go away! I say this because we panicked when it first happened to us. The salmon dish is just as tasty as it is beautiful. The scallop dish I had last year was amazing. It was a special, and I hope that one day it can make it to the permanent menu. Until then, I have but memories... Dessert We have tried: -ricotta cheesecake with salted pine nut caramel -crostata Be sure to save room for dessert. The first dessert we ever got here was a peach crostata. They must change their crostata seasonally because the last time we were here, it is: ga apples, blackberries, balsamic, vanilla gelato. Both crostatas were divine. I can't pick between them, but I'd confidently choose whatever crostata they have as my favorite of their desserts because I know it will be good. My boyfriend loved the ricotta cheesecake, which was also delicious. Of course we will continue to be recurring customers. The ambiance is comfortably elegant. It feels upscale but not stuffy. The service is great--we always have friendly and helpful servers. Next time (because God willing, of course there will be a next time), I would like to try the ravioli because I've heard great things.

Alessandra V.

Yelp
came here for the first time over the weekend. the restaurant has a dark cozy vibe. the food was really good. their foccacia is so thick and fluffy. i got the salmon and loved it.

Nicky N.

Yelp
We got a reservation for my birthday. We got there and got seated immediately (father's day weekend) Service was amazing. Efficient and fast. Appetizer comes out like 5 mins after ordering. The moment the server took the appetizer plate away, entrées are served right up. Food portion are decently good. Food is great. The restaurant has a nice vibe, feel a little high end but chill at the same time. Wish they have a print out menu of the special of the day. The server talked quite fast and idk much terminologies of Italian food so.... Overall it was good dinner and good experience.

Eva D.

Yelp
Solid food and friendly servers. Classy ambiance for a nice date or work dinner. Octopus dish was very good and well cooked. Not stringy at all.

Erin S.

Yelp
We had a dinner reservation for a party of 2 at 7:30 on Tuesday, 7/19/2022. I parked on the street for free, or you can also valet. The inside is dimly lit. They have white tablecloths, which elevates the experience. My friend and I split an antipasti and two primis. Here's what we got: - Panzanella ($17): This was amazing. Loved the burrata. However, it said there were peaches and we literally only got one little slice of peach... - Agnolotti ($28): This was good, but didn't have as much flavor as I expected it to. I wouldn't get this again. - Ravioli ($21): Deeeelicious. Would 100% get this again. Good service and good food! I recommend!

Charles M.

Yelp
Valenza always has great food, but Duck Tortellini dinner special was a very small portion. While flavor excellent it was surprisingly small. We had to add order of meatballs to compensate. Meatballs awesome by the way. Very friendly and knowledgable staff but due to size of entrees we will second think before going back. Food flavor very good but star deduction is due to small portions and one of meatball orders was somewhat cold. I think 3.5 stars more appropriate but this site doesn't allow partial stars.

Aiden G.

Yelp
Amazing food specials are something to look forward to every time I go their service is amazing. My favorite is their pork chop (special) also not to fancy but fancy connected to a pizza place for kids if you want it beautiful scenery.

M.A. F.

Yelp
Always a great place for authentic Italian in Atlanta. Service and food never disappoint. I also love the rustic decor.

Vance B.

Yelp
There were 6 of us that went to Valenza. Service was very attentive and I did not have a time where my drink was empty. The appetizers were split and we really enjoyed the squid, shrimp, and cod. We also got the Brussels sprouts which were ok. I got the agnolotti and this was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. The flavor from the short ribs came out and the pasta was awesome. I also tried the pappardelle, it was good, but I have had better at a few other places. We also had a vegetarian with us and there was only one option for her meal. Deserts were good, but I can speak to any of the ones that we had. I heard the gelato was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place for someone with no diet restrictions. If you do go, get the agnolotti, you won't be disappointed.

Laura G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed coming here for dinner recently! I'm a skeptic when it comes to eating Italian noodles out at restaurants because most of the time you can tell the noodles are store bought and the sauce is jarred, which is annoying because you might as well just have stayed in an cooked your own noodles at home to save money. I was pleasantly surprised that these noodles tasted homemade and oh so fresh. Service is wonderful. I'll definitely be going back. Great for a date night or celebration dinner.

Liz A.

Yelp
Cozy up to warm plate of sensational Saltimbocca and a side of rich Pappardelle from Valenza, a beautiful, Italian village cafe in the heart of Brookhaven. We tried the Saltimbocca: tender pork wrapped in salty and garlicky prosciutto on the outside with a good hint of sage. Paired with earthy kale and hearty, crisp potatoes. Then, there was the Polpo. The octopus is so much flavor itself with a light crunch and a good saltiness. The chickpea cake makes it heartier. A light sauce around it gives it a slight cream and brightness. My favorite bite was the Pappardelle: fantastic! Meaty, creamy, and a little bit of spice. Perfectly cooked pasta with the perfect amount of meat and sauce and the tangy ricotta just icing on the cake. To start, enjoy the Salumi e Formaggi. It's packed with several different types of meat and a few cheeses accompanied with fruit and mustard salad, as well as pickled veggies and a salad! Mix and match on the bread to find your favorite bite. Loved the bologna with the pickled veggie! Zack is a great waiter and was very attentive on a very busy night!

George W.

Yelp
Our go-to location in Brookhaven. They've never disappointed. The outdoor (covered) patio is beautiful and serene. Service is always attentive, with great suggestions. We all had the tagliatelle bolognese and loved it. The Caesar salad has anchovies as Caesar intended. We topped it off with a bottle of Prosecco to keep the Italian thing going. You won't regret a visit here.

Yelp
We went to Valenza for the first time last night. We utilized the valet parking in the back, because we were being lazy. However, the valet parking is "free", less a tip. So that's nice. We did not get a reservation, but we didn't have to wait either. We went at 8:30 PM. The place was relatively packed and it was rather loud, considering the somewhat intimate setting. Valenza had a rather cozy and intimate feel. The interior and exterior lighting was very low, so much so that my uncle, sister, and mother needed to use their phone lights to see the menu clearly. I was fine. We chose to sit outdoors, so it was somewhat chilly, but it wasn't bad enough that they'd need to start heating the porch. A light jacket or hoody should suffice at these temperatures unless you are particularly subject to the cold. The place was a bit dressier than I expected, but I didn't feel "SO out of place" in my jeans and t-shirt that I'd feel the need to leave or anything. The waitstaff was good about timing on everything. They did have a host(ess) station by the front door, but our server turned out to be our hostess. Another waiter came and brought water to the table and our server came a moment later with menus. She left for approximately 5-6 minutes and returned. She asked if we would be ordering "anything to drink besides water tonight", and my uncle ordered a glass of wine (I was driving... ) while we went ahead and ordered an antipasti appetizer of their focaccia bread with rosemary-infused dipping olive oil and ricotta spread. It was quite delicious and was freshly baked. Fantastico! We also went ahead and ordered our meals, it she stopped us and asked if we would like to hear about the specials for the night first- I was intrigued by the chili oil pasta that she mentioned, but I had already set my sights on the Agnolotti. My uncle went for the spaghettini and my mother opted for the ravioli. My sister said, "whatever you get, that's what I want." The agnolotti: prime rib meat that is perfectly tender and superbly sauced at the core of this dish is what makes this one amazing. I described this one as "a marriage between roast beef, stew, and pasta." This dish was absolutely decadent. The flavor was rich and intense in every bite. The sauce reminded me to take my time because it had a bitterness to it (from the wine?) that enhanced the saltiness and savoriness of the meat and the sauce from the meat. Personally, I would've probably used a sweeter one for the demi glace, so get ride of any hint of bitterness, but I mean- this dish was hitting it absolutely out of the park! The spaghettini: When it first came out, but Uncle said that the "Mountain" of Spaghettini was too much for him to eat all alone, and it most certainly was. He shared a whole meatball with me, (the size of a small orange or an apple), gave one to my sister, and half of a meatball to my mother. He even gave us some of his noodles and sauce. He still had a full meal! I feel like the meatball could've used a bit more ricotta cheese and less breading, and perhaps some more seasoning, but the flavor of the meat came through very well. The sauce was great. It was not too acidic and it was not too sweet, it was just about right. The noodles, my uncle said, we're just right for him... I prefer my noodles to be a bit more al dente, personally. Still, better than "mom's spaghetti", if you know what I mean. The ravioli: Very Fall flavored- with butternut squash, walnuts, and a slightly sweet sauce. I tried just a tiny little piece of the ravioli. I liked it but it was not my favorite dish out of the three that we tried. Although, if you are looking for a fall flavored pasta dish with this is it. At the end of the night, the meal was $185 after tipping both the server and the valet. I feel like the dishes were just a little pricey, particularly because aside from the spaghettini, the portions were rather small. However the flavor was big for the agnolotti, so I'm willing to forgive them. I'd reeally like more of that dish though.... I feel like I was actually physically and emotionally saddened but I finished my last agnolotti. ... And no, I did not offer any of mine to anyone else after I tasted my first bite... So I ate my entire plate and still wanted far more than that. Give them a shot they are doing it right. Oh! I almost forgot! They do not offer a pasta spoon! If you are truly Italian or have been to Italy or have met and eaten with a true Italian....then you know. "You know if you know"...and they didn't know at Valenza. Odd, but the food was still on point.

Ella M.

Yelp
Great food and great service, this is our go to place for Italian food. They never disappoint Keep up the good work

Scott S.

Yelp
This place is good if you like gourmet Personal size pizza. Has an OK vibe. Very good for takeout.

Yelp
What an amazing Annual Worth Day celebration & dining experience for my Sister, who loves authentic Italian Food & came into town from Arizona. Let's start with the reservation. I had to make a couple of changes & each time Haley, accommodated me with a positive vibe both over the phone & in person. Same effort when we needed to change tables from the back by the kitchen to the front, upper platform. Mary was our sensational Server. From her first visit to our table, she spoke to us both individually & collectively, learned our preferences for drinks, appetizers & entrees & in turn offered her personal recommendations all with a smile. With a table of six covered in face masks & trying to place our orders, Mary was a Gem in getting us squared away & without skipping a beat. All of her suggestions relatively close to everyone's preference was a success. More so, after I stated that I was a Vegan & before I could mention my allergens, she informed me that she would let the Executive Chef know & to ensure my order would be prepared separately. Our table spread consisted of the "Melon" inspired Salads (from the special menu), Fritto Misto - a twist on Calamari that includes Shrimp & Cod (two orders), Ravioli (three people ordered & was delighted) Pollo al Mattone (could have done without the Salsa Verde), the Lumache Nero (the Squid was overpowering) & my special Vegan Pasta tossed in Olive Oil, Garlic, Lemon, Tomatoes amongst some Veggies. In summation, the overall food was pretty good, yet Mary's "performance" was even better. Her meeting & greeting us, her table approach, quick drink drop as only one person order cocktails while the rest of us enjoyed a few bottles of wine. Depending on the wholesaler the upcharge was about $50 & Mary personally refilled our carafe. Her order taking, appetizer/entree delivery with ensuring everything was correct & everyone was happy, frequently resetting our table to the clear breakdown of the check, made our experience a winning one. My Sister was even blessed with not one, yet two complimentary Birthday Desserts, topping off her special night. Suggestions: *Not have the Bus Boys move so fast as I went to the Unisex Restroom (there's two), came back & my amazing, craft-made Vegan Pasta was picked up & thrown away. That's what happens when you're the last person at the table. *Adjust the thermostat as it was extremely hot which made it slightly uncomfortable at times. *Reposition the tables on the upper platform as the tables are very close to one another, which took some pivoting to get up & sit back down. Overall, Valenza offers a cozy, Italian village cafe amongst an upscale setting, with a Venetian theme throughout the restaurant, especially the Candle Chandeliers. There's a private dining room for 30 people & a patio that is just as inviting. The parking lot is shared with Valenza's sister restaurant, Haven, so parking is a bit tight, but Valet is complimentary - the Valet team was immensely friendly & helpful. Street parking is also available. We all recommend Valenza regardless of the occasion as the dining experience was superb. My Daughter promised to bring me back to sit on the patio to fully enjoy the Vegan Pasta, alfresco style.

Robert P.

Yelp
One of the better Italian spots in the city that doesn't get enough credit. We love sitting at the bar with Grace and Michael taking care of us. If you don't get the spaghetti then you have missed out.

Soumya K.

Yelp
Valenza is a great restaurant for a special occasion ... or really any occasion. I'll always find an excuse to come here because the food is just! so! good! My favorite bite is the pollo al mattone but I've had so many dishes from here and they're all fantastic so you can honestly order anything and expect an amazing meal

Leah K.

Yelp
Consistently delicious food & stand up service, a favorite of ours! Seasonal updates to the menu keep things fresh and exciting, but always deliver on value, quality, and flavor. We love the newly renovated covered patio with AC. Our go to's: [starters] mista salad, octopus/pulpo, fritto misto (esp love the fried lemons!) + [pasta] bucatini + [main] salmon and chicken. The only dish we're not big fans of is the saltimboca, a little salty for us

Tiff H.

Yelp
Valenza is a great spot in Brookhaven for some hearty Italian food, perfect for date night or a nice family gathering! They bring out a great complimentary starter of focaccia and olives and hummus. The menu is broken out into antipasti, primi, secondi and contorni. I was on a pasta state of mind - so we ordered the spaghettini and lumache nero. And to share, we ordered the capasante (scallops). All 3 dishes were EXCELLENT. I'm always about the red sauce and the spaghettini was exactly that: meatballs, cheese and red sauce. The lumache Nero was a squid ink pasta with Georgia red shrimp, 'nduja and Calabrian chili. I've actually seen a very similar dish in another Atlanta restaurant and was excited to see how Valenza pulled it off. While it wasn't as prettily plated as I had seen it previously, it was just as tasty. The capasante scallops were excellent and I loved the fresh seasonal garnish. Even after such a huge meal, we decided to splurge on dessert - that budino though! The white chocolate bread pudding was the perfect ending to the delicious meal. I've gotta come back soon - especially to support small local businesses in hard times like these!

Kellie N.

Yelp
I love everything about this restaurant. Amazing food. The short rib truffle pasta is phenomenal, almost addictive. The spaghettini with the seriously massive meatballs I looks like something from a cartoon -- but tastes like perfection. The staff is awesome. Everyone is so kind and super helpful. Smiles all around, this really makes a dining experience stand out. Cool vibe and fun bar scene with a quaint ambiance that is perfect for a romantic date, dinner with friends and family, or a work event. I can't wait to go back. I'm excited to try their beautiful patio sometime. I'm going to be a regular at this amazing Brookhaven neighborhood gem.

Jason M.

Yelp
The best Italian in Atlanta. Michael (mgr) and Matt (ex chef) team up for an exceptional experience. The food, the ambiance, and the service all get top marks in my book!

Taylor S.

Yelp
Wowwww if you love Italian food and pasta you must eat here. Amazing food and atmosphere!

Jason D.

Yelp
Valenza is one of our all time favorite restaurants and the best Italian spot in the Brookhaven area. The spaghettini and agnolotti are our favorites.

Mark V.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague. I will trust all of his recommendations for anything in the future. This was THE BEST Italian meal I've ever had in the Atlanta area. The ambiance was excellent and the food was off the charts. The service was excellent. Attentive but not pestering, and did I mention this was THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD IN YHE ATLANTA AREA? Highly recommend!!!

Brett C.

Yelp
A little loud but the food is always on point. Servers are just the right amount of friendly and attentive.

Rob S.

Yelp
Always good. Awesome homemade pastas and the Bolognese sauce is to die for. Their next door pizza joint, Vero, is awesome too.

Joshua D.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing squid ink pasta, the most unique and delicious salads, neverending bottles of insanely good wine. This was a top 3 meal of my life, not even joking.

W T.

Yelp
Great place for for any special occasion. Delicious food and great service. It's well run and has a very nice ambiance.

Marilyn K.

Yelp
All around applause for Valenza. Tucked in an inconspicuous spot in Brookhaven, this Italian restaurant offered a great number of outside seats as well as inside seats. And the place was packed, even on a Sunday. My husband is incredibly picky about chicken- wanting it juicy and moist- and this was a winner! The pappardelle with meat sauce? Mouth watering! The tomatoes in the salad? Super fresh. No one was disappointed. I'd return.

Clay D.

Yelp
We love Valenza, the food is prepared by quality chefs and the service is always superior. I just hope they keep it going as Valenza is on our restaurant rotation and we love the experience.

Umi A.

Yelp
I came back to Valenza after being away for 3+ years and I'm sad to say the quality is not the same. The squid ink pasta has a different protein, but still the same flavor but the mussels were disappointing as well as the chicken entrée. However, my server Chris, was perfect.

Tari O.

Yelp
Had a lovely team dinner at Valenza on Dresden in Brookhaven. The Italian restaurant has plenty of options for all dining preferences and serves food in large portions. We were excited to learn that Monday is half bottle night so we enjoyed some of their selection. We used a back room so it was quieter(initial were seated in the main dining room which was too noisy for a discussion) which is a good space for intimate conversations. A bread basket was served with spreads and olives as soon as we sat down. The group enjoyed the burrata(huge portions) as well as Caesar salad(with anchovies yum) to start. I ordered the rabbit and substituted our the starch for the beet risotto. All pasta is now made in house and the group enjoyed their selections. Starters $9-15, Pastas $16-22, and Mains ran $22-32. Bottles of wine ranged from $48+ Valet parking behind the restaurant is free plus tips!

Yelp
Excellent Service with outstanding food! The Chef does a great job at offering good Italian Food with a special twist. It is a special Foodie jewel in the Brookhaven area!! Loved by many people whom each have different palates!

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Italian food and romantic ambiance in Atlanta this is it. Their short rib pasta is amazing. They also handled our large party well.

Yelp
Ate with three friends at Valenza last week. Food was mostly fine. Service was also mostly fine. Room was loud and tables were crammed in, making it difficult to have a conversation at the table. Our table was one of those with fold out leaves. The leaves were tucked under, but the leaf where I was seated would not stay up. I asked our server if it could be fixed and she told me that is was broken. So I sat all night with it against my legs. My main concern is that they know the table leaf will not stay up but continue to seat people there. Fix the table, y'all, and show some respect for your customers.

Yelp
**First timer** I literally picked this off a list in the attempt of trying something new. I was pleasantly surprised. The location of the restaurant is easily found but be sure you are prepared for valet parking. Overall the restaurant is quite quaint with very tasty pizza and great service. Our server Rio was very patient with us and explained all the many items. She kept a smile on her face as we went through all the items and decided what we wanted to do. The biggest problem that I have with the restaurant is that all of the meat items are pork-based. It's 2021 and a restaurant like this should realize that not everybody in the world eats pork. Expand your meat selection. Thats why I did four stars.

Yelp
Such a cozy & intimate place for a date. We sat outdoor patio & I love the elegant ambiance!!! The staffs wore masks & were attentive to our needs. We ordered The Cozze (Mussels), Salmone & Capellini (the blurriness of the pictures are caused by a couple glasses of wine LOL). I didn't expect the mussels portion to be sooo generous. It was finger licking good tho! I was trying to be more health conscious so I ordered the Salmon & it was perfectly cooked & yummy! I only had a lil of the Capellini to try & it tasted pretty light & fresh. Overall, the foods were pretty good so I'll def be back when I'm in Brookhaven area & craving for some Italian! (:

Yelp
I'm struggling with how to rate this one. Good but would we go back? Probably not. Service - 5/5 stars. Truly, our server and the waitstaff were incredible. The server spoke in-depth from memory about every menu item and our drinks were never empty. Each item was cleared off our table as soon as we finished and boxed accordingly. Ambiance - 5/5 stars. Very sweet romantic venue, great for date night. Have a cute outdoor area that I imagine is great on fair weather nights. Food - 3/5 stars. Nothing to rave about unfortunately. The meal started with a variety of breads, olive oil and hummus. We ordered the charcuterie board to start. Due to a nut allergy, we had a slightly different array of meats and cheeses that we were pleasantly surprised with however still just not our ideal cheeses. We then got the short rib pasta and pork entree. We were really missing a sauce with the pasta. It just fell sorta flat. Also, what Italian restaurant doesn't offer fresh Parmesan with their pasta?! Definitely something they could do to improve. The pork was alright, I found myself enjoying the potatoes it was sitting on more than the meat itself. They did split the portion for us though which was nice. In hindsight, maybe we just ordered wrong?

Yelp
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. From arrival to departure, I was blown away...the service, the ambiance, the food...OMG THE FOOD! We started with the panzanella which was remarkable. I'd have been happy with a bottle of wine and that alone...for the rest of my life...but wait, there's more. The entrees all read like a Pavlovian trigger warning. Cue the drool. If you're unable to decide between two items because everything sounds so damned delicious, you can have a little of both. Yep, you can get half orders! I had a half of the short rib agnolotti and a half of the linguini nero. Perfection *chef's kiss*. My husband had the rabbit pasta, and, if he could be sure no one would see, he would've licked the bowl clean. Dessert was the ricotta cheesecake with salted caramel and pine nuts which was scrumptious. Chef Matt Swickerath is the real deal. Run, don't walk, to Valenza.

Yelp
Started with the Fritto Misto, which was very yummy. I particularly enjoyed the fried lemons and capers that came with the seafood. For a main course, I had the agnolotti, which I had never had before. They were like little pockets of deliciousness, filled with savory meat and a decadent, rich sauce. Papardelle was good, as always. There was a fish special with red pepper risotto that was also quite delicious. The service was absolutely fantastic. We had a female server who I have never encountered at Valenza before, and she was incredibly pleasant, accommodating, and well-informed. Overall we had a terrific meal and a terrific evening.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a date night here and it was gorgeous. The classy modern restaurant is in a nice area of Brookhaven with lots of greenery. Service was superb but I'll get right into the food. Pappardelle (5/10) - Essentially pappardelle noodles which are extremely wide noodles with bolognese. Unfortunately they cook their noodles al dente so it was a bit firm and had a bite to it. I prefer perfectly cooked soft noodles, especially given the size of the noodles, makes it easier to eat. Don't let the photo fool you, the sauce didn't have much actual meat to it unlike other bolognese sauce I've had in the past. More meat sauce in general would have been nice. Felt like it was just piled on top. The ricotta cheese on top was a nice touch but it was cold so that threw me off. It was still okay overall but not the best pappardelle bolognese in town. Pollo Al Matone (9/10) - Chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Still moist and juicy inside with the crisp skin on the outside. The fried potatoes were delicious! Cozze (10/10) - mussels were steamed perfectly and the flavor of the broth/sauce on the bottom was simply addictive. I continuously kept dipping the toast and mussels in the sauce. Flavor was amazing and it even had a slight kick in heat to it. I felt it was mild but my boyfriend said he tasted the spice but in a good way! Another great thing about this appetizer was the generous serving size! I would definitely come back but just request the pappardelle to be completely cooked. It's a great date night spot and offers seating indoors or outdoors. We found street parking with ease but I can see how it would be difficult on the weekends. In regards to the pandemic, everyone was spaced out and every server wore a mask which was reassuring. We felt safe dining out for once!

Yelp
The food and service were amazing! This was the first date night with the hubs (we're newly weds), and it was a great experience. Ashley was superb: friendly, smiley, and informative. The hubs had the pappardelle while I had the spinach capellini (off the specials). The pappardelle was good, but it had too many meat mixtures -- veal, pork, beef. The house made ricotta was interesting as it worked around all the meats. Ashley said this was a popular dish amongst the guys, but it's quite meat intense. The capellini is a house made pasta consisting of spinach with something I can't remember. And boy oh boy was it good. The fresh pasta was delish and went well with the simple oil based sauce. The tomatoes, peas, and bacon pieces were great combinations for this pasta dish. I would def rec this! The hubs also agreed this was simply great. The atmosphere was great, though it was a little too dimly lit. But, it did give a romantic vibe. And psst. You can park across the street as there's a parking lot with a good selection of spaces -- if you're able to find a spot. And Valenza also looked like it had valet as well.
