Always get great meat however on September 29 2025 my daughter bought a beef bone for birria and when we opened it it was rotten it had a smell it cost well you'll see we had to throw away,I love Vallarta it just tell your butcher to keep it real,

Google
Absolutely love it here. We were scrambling to find a place that wasn't Walmart but smaller quantities than Costco and stumbled here. And they have so much stuff that we have been missing since moving to Fresno from the South. It's my new weekly store!

Google
My husband and I got lunch here and really liked it. The horchata is so good and our tacos were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Shopping at Vallarta is a fun adventure. The store is clean and cheerfully decorated and stocked with a wide variety of something for everyone. They have an impressive selection of fresh produce, seafood, and more. Today, I purchased some large cherries for only .99 cents a pound! I found some other great prices on other items that I bought as well. This is also a great place to purchase some great Mexican food to go. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. The shredded taco and chicken tamale I had today were amazing! I will return to shop and order more food to go, especially the taco, which is my new favorite taco anywhere!

Google
I would like to say that if I were to give 5 stars, it would have all been for Viri, who works in the juice stand. I came in today for a Vampire juice and while I waited I observed two other employees ( who were trainees, but really just standing around) and Jaden (apparently the manager/supervisor) also just standing around. He ignored me the whole time I was waiting for Viri to finish helping another customer. Viri then went to work on another task, not sure if she noticed me waiting. So I spoke up to get everyone's attention and Jaden, being the closest to me, turned away and Viri (while in the middle of the other task) waved me over to her side and took my order. She then asks Jaden to make my drink to which he rubs his head and quitetly says yeah. As I walk over to the juicing side, Jaden decides to start showing the trainees where everything is. And walking past me without any acknowledgement. Finally, Viri sees me still waiting and comes over to complete my order. Jaden is not the person who should be in charge!! I was fully annoyed by his lack of leadership and POOR customer service! I really hope someone from the store reads this and does something including to responding to this comment. If not, I will make it a point to speak to someone in person the next time I notice Jaden doing the same thing. Which I believe he will be doing! Again! 5 stars for Viri! And thumbs down to Jaden 👎

Google
First time coming in here the bread is great ! Just horrible service from the kitchen! The line is long and there is only 1 worker who takes long to take your order ! I was grocery shopping for around 30 mins and went to see if my food was ready they haven’t even started it ! I was waiting another 10 mins for my food while the workers were just talking to eachother the whole time ! 😒😒😒

Google
I was Absolutely Amazed at how many Hispanic products are available to me and really brings back childhood memories of when I used to travel to Mexico and enjoy all the Mexican products available as a kid. Now all I have to do is drive to my nearest Vallarta supermarket and I'm back to experiencing the amazing food and candies I craved as a child! Thanks Vallarta!!

Yelp
I really appreciate that you can both grocery shop and dine here. The food is great, especially the fried fish, which is also very affordable. My husband and I usually go for the three tacos combo with rice and beans, plus the fried tilapia with rice and beans. I also like to add fried jalapeños on the side. Both combos and the side come to about $22 after taxes. You will order and wait for them to call your order number/name. There are limited seating booths available. Overall, I've come a few times when I'm craving tacos or fried fish fast on the go.

Yelp
This market is amazing. The inside is setup like a little town and it's super clean. There are regular supermarket stuff and then there are Mexico specific items like piñatas and terracotta plates and bowls. There is a bread, hot food and taco/burrito area and lots of seafood and produce. Staff are friendly and helpful. Got a few tacos and it was delicious.

Yelp
My husband and I come here just to get tamales for him to bring back home to Vegas. They always have a great selection with a new seasonal flavor every time we visit. This store is huge and clean. There are so many food options if you don't have dietary restrictions. As someone with celiac disease, only their fresh juices are safe to consume. They have a shared machine that makes their corn, flour and mixta (corn and wheat) tortillas so none of their housemade tortilla products are safe to consume for anyone needing gluten-free. The store has so many specialty food items and even has housewares like molcajetes, rebozado placemats and pottery items.

Yelp
I went to vallarta and over heard the Manager Veronica in carniceria being very rude to her younger employees....

Yelp
I love coming here if I want to get some Mexican food. This Vallarta Supermarket food court on Clinton in my opinion is really good! It is really clean at this location. They have a huge range of Mexican dishes hot and ready to serve you when you order. It doesn't take them a long time to get your order out. They also have a agua Fresca bar right next to it as well. An array of different juice they make daily. I always order a drink with my food when I am there. A new thing that I love they have is a tamale bar. They have about 7-8 different flavor tamales you can self grab yourself and place it in a bag they offer. I got beef, pork, sweet corn, and pumpkin. Surprisingly I love the sweet corn one and my kids love it too. You can either pay for the tamales at the food court checkout or at the main checkout. The supermarket have a good selection or vegetables and meat. Some of the meat is even pre marinated for you which is great! You don't have to season at all and just cook it right away. The staff there is always so friendly. I love coming here from time to time for some specific ingredients if I am cooking a Mexican dish because I know they will have it.

Yelp
Very great customer service from Fabiola from bakery very accommodating and understanding when I come to this market again looking in the bakery section I know who to look for ! Her character speaks for its self super outgoing and encouraging

Yelp
I have seen very unprofessional work of how the managers treat their workers in front of customers, Salvador taqueria manager is very rude to his younger employees. I encountered a situation as of seeing that exact same manager Salvador yelling really loudly to one of his employees, it is not okay to act out like that especially being in that high position. It is also very unprofessional that even a customer can point out there's obligations & the fact the managers make it VERY obvious that they have favorites. Many times I've walked to the dairy and have seen those exact names I stated in the warehouse making out, they don't even care if customers see them. (Y) The store director Victor of this Vallarta needs to take action of all of these problems happening because not only does it make the employees miserable but as a customer, I've had a very bad experience here. All of the cashiers should have more of a positive outcome like how they talk when you ask for their help of something & their facial expressions with that same situation. I've had filed many complaints about these situations and many more, called HR and there is still no progress being made.

Yelp
Great prices & products. The store was clean and the service was Great. The Family Ambiance was nice. I went there to get some Al pastor and found myself getting tamales ,Fresca and other items. I will.be coming back.

Yelp
Went here recently just to have lunch. Like so many places, I tried things I'd gladly get again, and others I'd happily skip. Ordering was easy and pleasant, though it seemed to take quite a long time for the food to be ready. They failed to give me salsa, so I had to back back and ask for it. I tried both the red and the green, and they were both good. I tried asada, chicken, and carnitas tacos, rice and beans, and a chile relleno. The tacos were really good, though the carnitas were pretty dry. Luckily, a dose of salsa solved that. Flavors were good. The rice and beans weren't good at all and the three stale chips they threw in there didn't really help the cause. The chile relleno was tasty, substantial, and topped with a delicious tomato sauce. I'll definitely return for the things I liked as well as some new things.

Teresa S.

Yelp
This is the second time ordering menedu and chicken soup. Awful both were cold NO harmony although I specifically asked for harmony and was charged DO NOT shop here!!

Grant M.

Yelp
Always visit this location when I am in town. Freshly made tortillas and tamales are a big win. Haven't had a bad experience with anything I have had from there
google avatar

Yelp
This market has a copious amount of merchandise in a festive environment. On top of lots of staples there is an above average amount of fresh food preparation on site. This day we ordered a full roasted chicken, rice, and beans. The customer service was friendly. I saw some negative reviews and they seem what can happen when you have a lot of freshly prepped foods. So I do recommend you in advance, inspect your items before purchase. My local cousins depend on the fresh produce and variety of selection of items at this location on a regular basis. So based on my experience and my families we recommend this place as an excellent place to get tasty foods!
google avatar

Yelp
I really love this market! It's so unique and has so many items that are relevant to my culture that I cannot find at a "regular" grocery store. The prices are great and selections are delicious! I really loved the prepared food section. It was like walking in to a giant taqueria. Vallarta has clearly put some thought in to the layout of the store because it definitely felt like a meeting place, where people can not only shop but come and gather over a meal too. Vallarta is busy, but not pushy. I loved this store and came back many times over my visit to Fresno. Can't wait to come back next year!
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Can I just say this grocery store is so colorful. Vallarta has so much going on & so many departments where do I start? The produce is fresh & high quality. My favorite part of this store is the meat department. Pork, beef, poultry & seafood are all on deck here. Get some lunch as well. They have a department where the cook food which is pretty good. They have a bakery. Oh yea, they sell grocery's too. (Side bar) the house salsa & guacamole is fire forreal. Ur welcome! Five starz! Check out the pics.
google avatar

Lupita M.

Yelp
FLY IN MY FOOD!!!! I suggest you highly consider before buying from their seafood and meat department. When I got home from this store I saw there was a fly in my imitation crab meat!! DISGUSTING!! Won't be buying there anymore Went back to exchange for a sealed pack and they wouldn't do it over $3 Unbelievably bad service If you do decide to buy there Ask to hold the flies The store manager wouldn't even come out to talk to me
google avatar

Yelp
I feel like I'm in Mexico when I'm here. When I'm in town I come here specifically for this one flats giant cinnamon and sugar cookie in the bakery for only $1. It's flakey and sometimes has the caramelized sugar on the edge that's so simply made but so orgasmically good. Beside my cookie, this place has so much to offer! A variety of hot food, guacamole bar, horchata bar, freshly made tortillas and chips, desserts and all the Mexican groceries you can find. In addition this place is very clean and they recent have a self check out area.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Love this grocery store! They have it all and everything is exceptionally fresh whether that be the fruit/vegetables, meats, or flowers. A great bonus is all the meals and fresh food ready to eat, such as the tamales, shrimp cocktails, pan dulce and more. You can also order food to eat such as burritos, tacos, etc. The store is very very clean and pretty well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
Vallarta is almost always clean and well-stocked with a variety of items. The produce is always reasonably-priced and usually of good quality. I frequently buy tomatoes, scallions, jicama, different pepper varieties and potatoes here. I've had excellent shrimp ceviche from their deli. My experience with their meats is spotty (carne asada with good flavor but too much gristle & connective tissue). I peruse the Tuesday grocery ads each week and respond to Vallarta's ad items occasionally. Today, Wednesday, I went there for 3 ad items. Only 1 was in stock. The staff are always nice and usually helpful (sometimes I get the brush-off, I think for asking a question in English). With some better supervision, this could be my main market (but, since it's been open 7 years, I'm not holding my breath).
google avatar

Steffie P.

Yelp
I usually come here for my veggies, fruits and most meats. The prices are reasonable but if you're looking for something like Alfredo sauce or Pizza pockets don't bother. On previous occasions I've gotten meat that went bad the next day. Pro tip- avoid the seasoned stuff or eat it the same day. I love their bran muffins from the Pan section and the mango cake slices as well. The parking lot is like Costco's and it's only going to get worse when they finish the shoe store they're building next door. Avoid this store like the plague during any type of holiday. Lines get crazy and so does the meat department.
google avatar

Lulu C.

Yelp
This is my local vallarta. They are always stocked and clean. I've never encountered a rude cashier or store clerk. I've always gotten fresh food here. The tamales are normally pretty tasty. The hot food to order is always good too. If you're there at the right time you'll be able to get fresh baked bolillo bread.

Yelp
I dont really write reviews, I read reviews. I always do my grocery here and never have any problems, even overcharged. Not until it happened yesterday. I bought three of thier slice cake. I didn't realize until that night I saw each slice was overpriced ($37.99 for 1 slice of tiramisu x3. Reg price was 2.99). So I went the next day to get a price adjustments. Thankfully it wasnt in any hassle to get it right. I saw a lady who works there, told her I was overcharged and right at that moment she knew it wasn't right. She hand it to a male cashier to fix it. The cashier was nice upon handling the issue and got my refund without a problem. I left the store with ease. So thanks for helping resolve the issue. I learn my lesson here to never leave the store without checking the receipt, even if you're a regular customer.

Yelp
This place has never let us down. It's not your typical supermarket(obvs) but that where they excel. The lanes are chock a block full of cashiers, never waited with more than 2 people in front of me. In the "restaurant" side there are tons of people helping and always happy! Never too bothered to help when I have questions-like tonight when I was trying to pick a dinner to take home. I always have questions about what to get and they always patiently wait for me and the kids to make up our minds- but pro tip! Get the 1lb steak dinner package: 1lb of carne asada, heaps of tortillas, beans and rice, all for a super low price you can't beat anywhere else. The fresh offerings make the trip worth it. Flavorful food with hardly any wait is waiting for you. Clean and sanitary with lots of alternative selections for the usual pantry stocking. Plus the colors are so bright and festive you truly feel like you're in a whole different country, it's a twofer. Definitely give this one a try-my favorite Vallarta by far!

Yelp
Impressive! I'm from the Bay Area, so we don't have any of these here. We have Mi Pueblo and Chavez Supermarkets. We also have Fresco Supermarkets. All 3 of those I've been satisfied with. Fresco I would say is superior to Mi Pueblo and Chavez. I have nothing really bad to say about them, but Vallarta Supermarket is better than all of them. This is my first Vallarta Supermarket I've been to. I haven't been to the other locations here in the Valley nor have I been to any of the others in SoCal. It's a nice big and clean store. It should be clean as it's pretty new. They do a good job for non-Latinos such as myself as everything will have an English translation next to it. Even all the menu items in the food court. All the produce looked fresh and priced competitively. Great selection of beer. Awesome meat section, ok seafood section (Asian supermarkets have a better seafood section--Island Pacific on Bullard, and SF Supermarket on East Kings Canyon). Everything else you will find here as a Supermarket especially for Mexican/Latino/Spanish items. I really love the food court here. In house bakery, and food court. They make tortillas in house. You can order ready to eat take home family sized meals. They also have most if not all your Mexican favorites. Tacos, Burritos, carne asada rice plates, chille relleno. They have freshly made pupusas. You can order carne asada fries here! Bring your own pot menudo on somedays. There will be something you like here. The portion, price, and value are really good. They have another area dedicate to ice cream--and yes you can get the famous Mangonada here. They have mexican shave ice. Bionicos, and other parfaits. A section just for Aguas Frescas with a variety of flavors and a large size is really a LARGE size! The employees all have been nice and efficient as well. The parking lot is a good size, and it is easily accessible from the 99, so those not from Fresno/Clovis can easily stop by. Smart move on their part. Another good supermarket and casual spot to eat in the 559.

Mat C.

Yelp
This supermarket has everything & off the 99. When I'm craving authentic Mexican food, I just come here, grab a bit for lunch, there's seating. Everything a Mexican restaurant can offer, they have it here, some food are made fresh, some are sitting under hot lights. I enjoy their turkey torta sandwiches. There's a variety of salsa options. The hot food really makes this my favorite supermarket. If you're not Mexican, you might feel out of place with people staring. The only down side, is there only one cashier the last two times I was here.

Eloisa C.

Yelp
I made the worst mistake by ordering my son's birthday cake from this bakery. I didn't get the exact cake as the one from the picture. But instead I got a pink and purple cake. Horrible experience... no customer service, poor quality, terrible baker. And don't bother to make a complaint because the store manager won't call you back. Do your self a favor and stay way from the bakery. I don't recommend this place at all.
google avatar

Poppi J.

Yelp
Sad to say the first time buying albondigas from here and it was terrible. The vegetables weren't cooked all the way along with the meat. Please don't do the same mistake I did and check your food before leaving :(
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
I'm an EMS professional - pulling up in my EMS unit. The store appeared open, & it was to seniors and those with disabilities. They wouldn't permit us in as the store didn't open to general public for another 35 minutes. I appreciate their efforts. Can I ask managers to consider to let 1st responders in too during these times? When seniors and those with disabilities need help ... I respond! They're in my bubble 48 hrs. a week minimum. Most other grocery stores are doing this for us. With no scheduled break- always available for a 911 call- you can imagine food breaks are difficult to get. It'd help us a lot if we could go in at this time too. Just asking for you to consider it. I like your store - especially the panderia. Thank you for your service & business.
google avatar

Mary Lou S.

Yelp
Wow. Super quick in and out. I was surprised with it being a holiday and how full the parking lot was. I stopped in to look for bottled water for a school carnival coming up this week. Score! Five cases for $10! Well, plus CRV, of course. I loaded up the water in a cart and headed to the check outs. There were two people ahead of me in line, but the line moved quick. Friendly cashier. Huge store.
google avatar

Josh L.

Yelp
If you enjoy Hispanic grocery stores then you've hit the mother of them with vallarta. I really enjoy shopping here and looking at all the specialty items they have. Not only are they a grocery store, but they have a taqueria and a panderia. I always buy the fresh made tortillas and chips n salsa. I find myself always shopping here when I am in Fresno and if you stop in and shop you will be a fan.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
Got a carne asada burrito with everything and it was 75% rice. Flavors were okay but I didn't order a rice burrito. The merchandise there is expensive too.
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
As a whole I love Vallarta and usually have no problem with this location but I think they may have a new kitchen manager because the last two times I've gotten Chicharrones moruzas, they have been cooked too long and tasted burnt, and this time they also tasted old. I had to throw the whole lot out because the taste of old grease was terrible.

Seth T.

Yelp
I would like to put in a good word for Daniel he really made us feel welcomed and really helped me and my wife out when asking about the foods GOOD JOB DANIEL keep it up !!
google avatar

Tatiana R.

Yelp
First time coming to eat their food I got birria with rice and beans my husband got tacos with beans and rice The rice was hard it wasn't cooked all the way the tacos were so plain salsa sucks very disappointing my birria was okay wasn't the best ..I've had way better !
google avatar

Yelp
So far I've been in Vallarta a hand full of times down south and now here in Fresno. The meat department is very well structured and friendly staff. The gentlemen helping me this past weekend took the time to filet our chicken breast and recommended other meats. Tonight I picked up some hot food on the way out. Delicious! 8pc thigh & leg, 1/2lb carnitas, rice, beans, in house tortillas and a HUGE torta all for under $26. If your on the run or in for a quick lunch break stop in and grab a bite to go. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We LOVE Vallarta and the fact that it's right next to our house is that much better! This location is 10x's better then the other one located in fresno! The employees are really including the guys in the meat section where we always get our asada or chicken to BBQ back at home. The employees also in the carneceria are awesome as well and always take great care of us! The biggest bonus is the liquor bottles are really cheap here and good size bottles also! If you are looking to get some top shelf premium liquor like tequila come here and check out their sales on them! They had a wide verity of vegetables as well that are great quality and fresh it seems like and haven't been sitting. My only advice is just to open more registers because it's so busy all the time the wait can get pretty long. Last time we waited close to 10 minutes to get checked out but other then that keep up the great work management!!!

Lou M.

Yelp
Best chips ever. The ones they make. They were expensive but very very good. Also we love the fresh salsa and desserts at the Bakery.

Shay K.

Yelp
I was a assulted and viciously pepper sprayed in the back all because when this plain clothed man approached me while I was walking out after getting a few grocery items. I didn't fully understand what he was implying or why he kept saying "I just want stuff back." I thought did I accidentally take this man's groceries? How would that even be possibly? I kept asking him to explain to me what stuff? All of a sudden something in this man snapped. He started cursing at me, yelling profanities and getting into my face saying I have an attitude. I start to realize this man is some kind of undercover security? I start to say to him sir, why are you so angry? Sir, I'm trying to cooperate with you, and I am willing to do whatever is needed for this to be resolved. Sir, you need to back away from me and stop yelling at me, you're making me uncomfortable. The man is getting more and more enraged and mad. A small crowd of people start to watch, I remember seeing these too men start to come over to try and help me, but this man pulls out his pepper spray and starts to wave it up and down, like he was gonna use it. On me? On other customers? Why? This man is out of his mind. Im starting to get more and more anxious. He keeps yelling profanities at me saying over and over "I just want my stuff back." Making me even more confused. Then out of nowhere after I said "call the police, I will wait here for them so we can get this resolved." He lunged at me and forcibly grabbed my arm with my purse and yanking me towards the revolving door so hard that my purse completely snapped, breaking both straps, and throwing me backwards onto the ground as my now broken purse and I fall to the ground I think to myself "so where is all this supposed stolen items of his stuff?" Wouldn't all this "stuff" be falling out during this assult? He used enough force to break my purse and make me fall to the ground, my wallet and my vape were in there! I wasn't going to let him take that! At this point I am shaking, crying, and asking him "why are you doing this to me? The 2 men I saw earlier were still there and they kept trying to stop this man from.hurting me. I remember them saying to.him "bro, stop! Bro that's not right " and looking at me with such remorse. They couldn't do anything without possible getting pepper sprayed. I get up from the ground, shaking he is cornering me, pacing back and fourth hovering me and getting into my face and waving his pepperspray. I just wanted to get away from this obviously disturbed man with a God complex who hates woman who have a voice and who stand up for their rights. My shopping kart with Mt groceries got in-between us, and I see an exit, I take it, with only seconds to react, the police were taking too long, and I was scared of what this man would do to me next. I run leaving my groceries behind. At this point im only thinking "get as fR away from him as possible, then call 911. But withoit hesitation he then peppersprays me in the back of my head. I don't realize how badly he got me. That means he was running after me. I can see my fiancé car and all I want to do is get there and get safe. This man was capable of anything at this point. Then, it starts. The most agonizing, excruciating , unbearable pain. I.cant even remember every feeling this much pain. What I now realize when I was running away from hi, he unleashed a massive amount of pepper spray onto the back of the head all over my hair, which was in a long ponytail. All it took was for my hair to.sqep.across my face. I never ever yelled at this man, nor scream profanities, i.didnt call.him names, I didn't threaten him, put him down, act inappropriate or uncooperative. And no, I did not steal anything nor take any of his 'stuff." My only crime was allegedly taking cat food cans. Lol yes 89 cent cat food cans. And that they "saw me in the cat food isle on video acting suspicious." Okay so Valarta has barley any cat supplies let alone any food. I have my own buisness in pet care, ive worked as a veterinary assistant for 7 years in the bay area, and after living here in fresno now 3 years ive taken upon myself to help feed the community cats in my neighborhood as im a member of alleycat allies. Anyway, my point to all this, having a few cans of wet cat food, or a baggie of dry cat food was not unusual for me. I usually keep some in my purse becsusr when i get hom from work, errands etc, i will feed the cats. Makes it easy because I have my purse with me anyway, so sometimes I'll not feed them all of the can and a couple will stay in my purse til next time I feed them. Okay so, cops came, ambulance came (twice) I was in so.much pain. It was almost embarrassing but i.was panicking. It was raining, and i.was.beong doused with iv drip saline bags to wash off the peper spray, i.kept screaming for someone, anyone, get me milk! I had BOUGHT some and it was in the shoping cart. I never got the milk. But I did get a ticket for petty theft of $1.79.

Renee M.

Yelp
Horrible service from the manager in the meat dept! Was told one price day before ( I was buying 30lbs of meat) today there was no sign , no price ! They raised the price to a dollar more a pound ! Manager did not help , wouldn't honor price . Will take my large orders elsewhere due to the manager! I did buy the meat only because I was short on time . Next time ? NO

Yelp
Love this store - full grocery with bakery, meat counter, fresh cheeses, tortillas (fresh warm tortillas are my heaven) and hot food you can take to go or eat there. I will even eat the menudo here, that says a lot haha. My favorite section is probably the fresh produce , I can find all I need for whatever Mexican dish I'm making and most of the basic produce is cheaper too. Other grocery items aren't going to be the best price or have all brands.

Yelp
I've heard good things about Vallarta's fresh prepared foods and this weekend I picked up medium trays of rice and beans, plus two containers of salsa (chunky and green) and a large bag of chips. I was pretty disappointed. The rice and beans were forgettable, the chips were greasy. That was first time and it will be my last time purchasing from. I wouldn't recommend it. You can make better for less cost, or pick up from a local restaurant. $52 for food I won't eat is pretty disappointing.

Yelp
This is my bee favorite market for Hispanic goods. I haven't been to a Vallarta since high school which is like 8 years ago! I decided to check out this Vallarta since while visiting my boyfriend he took me to their Hispanic super market and I have forgotten all the great deals that are at these types of stores. I would always pass this market up on my way home and want to check it out since I haven't been to the new location. So I decided to come in and check it out. When you walk in (depends where) Pan Dulces will welcome and just by looking at them I gained twenty pounds! However, with self control you will be able to make it to the rest of the store. The meats are so cheap!!! I got Al Pastor meat and chicken Fajitas for dirt cheap. Also they have fresh torillias and cheeses too. They have everything here that I love, mangonadas, mexican ice cream, fresh cheese, ceviche and I can go on. They even have a dine in and to go restaurant as well. There is so much diversity there! And something that will satisfy the whole family. I highly recommend to get the meats other items are cheaper elsewhere. So I get most of my meats here and other products at Winco. Come check it out you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I Love this store. I can usually find whatever I need here. Today I had the albóndigas from the hot food section and I'm so disappointed. The meatballs had uncooked rice, the potatoes and carrots were very hard, and the meat was red. I was very disappointed. My boyfriend had the asada tacos and they were full of grease. We would have been better off buying tamales from the man in the parking lot.

Yelp
My office gets a monthly birthday cake and we usually go to SaveMart or WalMart because it's close to work. This month we went to Vallarta's. OH EM GEEEE!!!! We will NEVER go anywhere else. The cakes were beautiful and so many designs to choose from. Not just something out of a book. Cake was soooo fresh and flavor was great! Everybody raved about the cake and said to keep going to Vallarta's! Job well done!!!!!

Yelp
So happy they're on this side of town with their newest location. Like they've always been here. Grateful for their consistency with their other stores. Come and eat here at least.

Yelp
Bought 20 pounds of marinated meat and we were so disappointed. The al pastor pork was supposed to be diced, but it looked and tasted like it was ground pork instead. The marinated carne Asada meat had no flavor. This was for a party, so it was super annoying and there was so much leftover because no one liked it. Will never buy from here again.

Yelp
On the hunt for carnitas and chicharron. We passed up Bakersfield which would have been the place to stop but... :sigh: Anyhow, this place is huge. Never been in Vallarta even though it's a chain with many locations. Stopped over at the Hot Foods counter. They boast a huge selection of fast, quick, easy food as well as beverages. They roped off the area which looked to be where a line should form and was where I stood. Yet I got passed up for another family. Not trying to be rude and also not in an extreme hurry I let it go. But even after the family ordered they turned there backs to me. Now, I don't want to throw the race card because I'm not an ignorant racist ass. But perhaps my Asian didn't fit or they couldn't see me because I am short or because I wasn't mexican. But my tall 6'3 husband is quite visible. They yet again passed us up. By this time I was irritated while standing in a line they put there just for looks. My husband hollared at the gentleman who glanced at us and somewhat acknoweldged our presence. It was super irritating and had I not been starving I would have headed for the door. -1 Star for Customer Service We ordered 1 pound of carnitas and 1 pound of chicharron. They significantly lacked seasoning. The only saving grace was the green salsa I dipped them in. 2 Stars for the food. If you are traveling avoid this place for hot food. Wait til you get to Bakersfield or Modesto where you'll find plenty of delicious mexican food.

Yelp
I love this store. Not only are the prices on most things pretty cheap, but they have a place to eat, and an amazing bakery. I really wish we had a Vallarta in WA state, but seeing as how we probably don't have the clientele I think we will have to wait a few years. This location had a neatly organized produce isle. The girl at the bakery who helped me was so nice and really went above and beyond to help me pick out some cakes for a party. The girl at the checkout was also super friendly. Their warm food is always good. I ordered a couple trays for a party and they were ready promptly. If I could complain a little, some of the rice was a little hard but it still was pretty good. Overall, I would say this is one of the best supermarkets around. It's like the Disneyland of supermarkets.

Yelp
I have been to this store a few times and every time it has been a very pleasant experience. I usually purchase about 200#'s of chicken in one visit, had been buying from WinCo, I asked at WinCo since I purchase such a large amount could I get it in box's weighted and pay for it that way, easier for me to process and carry. WinCo said no, the best the could do was put the containers in a box for me but the cashier would have to take them out and scan them and I would have to put it all back together, what a pain, went to Vallarta and the butcher said sure how much would you like, I said 200#'s he said is 40# box's ok, I said yes, he weighted them gave the cashier the tags, she just scanned the tags I was out the door. These are the nicest and most helpful people around. Thank you to all of them, WinCo, no thanks ever again.
