We LOVED this brewery! Very open inside with a lot of outdoor space as well. Very kid friendly so just go in expecting a lot of kids - there were when we went. The beer selection is VERY impressive and we didn't find anything that we didn't like. We particularly enjoyed the Amberzon Imperial Amber, Peanut Butter Blonde and Irish Red. The food truck provided delicious seafood inspired dishes! The owners are very nice & down to Earth and the staff were SO friendly & helpful!

Please have both bee. Wanting to go here since we heard it was so xlose! Unfortunately during g covid the hours were not co dusive to our schedule but we finally made it out! It was very crowded and a Friday night so the wait was longer than usual but the drinks were yummy (peanut butter blonde was crazy)! Great crowd and hometown feel as far as we were able to connect with with others. Live music and a great food truck! Pet and kid friendly!

Doesn't get any better than this. Nice family atmosphere with great beer and food. Vallensons has won multiple gold medals at nationwide beer competitions and the Oatmeal stout is the leading award winner. Bring the kids, the dogs and enjoy the day or evening. Best brewery in the Houston area.

Google

Yelp
This family business is excellent! The quality of beers is by far the best in the local area with a tap list that changes pretty frequently. They have every popular style of craft beer among some less popular or old school styles that you seldomly see on other modern brewery tap lists. Their sour ales are the best in the greater Houston area in my opinion, but they really don't put out any less than great beers. The staff is friendly and the business owner is on-site very often to greet patrons. Another nice little thing about this brewery is that sales tax is included with the price of each beer. So doing mental math here to tip the bar staff is pretty easy! Highly recommend visiting Vallensons'

Yelp
Over the last year they have done so many improvements. This place is super kid friendly / dog friendly / large group friendly. Huge outside area / part covered with huge fans & picnic tables. They have beer & seltzers to try and please everyone. Service has always been good for us - line moves quickly as they always have a good number of people working.

Yelp
Heading g back from Lake Charles we looked up this place. Nice big yard, lots of outdoor seating and very accommodating indoor seats with a popcorn machine!! I vote for more popcorn machines!! My wife collects tin tackers from breweries, this place had a great one. They have a nice selection of merch, the staff were super friendly and they have an amazing anniversary hazy IPA. Heading g back there with a growler so we can bring some home. Very chill place, it looked to have a few family groups showing up, so the locals appear to have a great place to meet up at. When in Houston make this place a stop for a good drink, popcorn, and a chill hangout.

Yelp
It might not look like much from the outside, but there's a lot to appreciate when it comes to Vallenson's. Their outstanding Yelp rating is no fluke, they've definitely taken their space and made the most of it. I've really enjoyed all of my experiences here. Upon entering, one will notice immediately that this is a family-friendly / very group-friendly place. No reservations are required in advance and walk-ins are welcome. There is a whole slew of indoor and outdoor seating that can practically accommodate any group. Because so much of their space encompasses the outdoors, it's always best to go out during good weather days (#1). Kids are usually running around the back area and on some occasions they'll feature live music (#2). While the parking lot is not that large, it becomes even smaller on select nights when they have a food truck. The bartenders are always super nice. They have let me sample the whole menu in one go-around without ever the pressure to buy a pint. Speaking of prices, they're super affordable with a majority of the beers at $8 and under. And more importantly, the beer is quite tasty. I have really taken a liking to their peanut butter blonde, which has a nutty but smooth finish and is generous with the ABV at 7%. One of their popular sours, Pink, is a bit tart with hints of cherry, and is a fragrant drink despite only being 3.5% ABV. When in doubt, their hefeweizen is a practical go-for me and if I'm feeling like getting something heavier, the bourbon barrel aged doppelbock is a whopper at 9.5% or their even heavier secretariat BBA imperial amber at 11.7%. The vibe is casual with zero pretense and an ideal meet-up spot for folks looking for a drink in the Pearland scene. (#3) Vallenson's has already become one of my favorite places in the neighborhood and will likely get many more beers out of me before I ever get tired of them (#4) __________ (#1) Given the area's somewhat unpredictable inclement weather, this is always a nice gamble. (#2) They should really look into additional acts. (#3) A slight oxymoron. (#4) Highly unlikely.

Yelp
It's a shame I took so long to come to one of Pearland's only breweries. I've heard how great it is, but always find myself in Houston checking places out over there since most of my friends live in town. I just happened to have some friends in my neck of the woods for lunch and we decided to have a few brews after. They open at 2 on Saturday and we got their shortly after they opened. The place was already busy and I can totally see why. What I really like about this place is how family friendly it is. They have a large outside patio area that all the families were congregated at. Inside was nice and cozy with plenty of seating. They also have projectors playing the games which is a big plus for me. Browsing the menu, I saw they had a few sours which I am a sucker for. I was full from lunch and knew I was good for one drink, so I made that one drink count. I went with the Tangerine Sour. It had a orange juice look and consistency to it. The flavor was true to it's name and was very good. Not overly sweet with just the right about of tartness. Everyone in my group liked whatever they had as well. Though they don't sell food, they did have a food truck post up outside. They brought around QR codes to scan and order from your seat, and then it would notify you when you food was ready. I thought that was a great thing to have as an option if you made a day out of hanging out here. They also allow outside food and there is a few fast food options within walking distance. My friend's and I have already determined we are going to put this in our regular rotation of hang out spots!

Yelp
I'm kicking myself for taking so long to go back to Vallenson's. This was my second visit. My first was a few years ago before they expanded their taproom. I think that may have been one reason why I didn't stop by more, prior to the expansion. The inside was small and the majority of the property was outdoors. With this new taproom, it's very large! There's cool murals on the walls, tons of seating, an awesome playlist, multiple TVs to watch sports, and super cool bartenders. The outside is more fenced in, but they have tons of picnic tables. The patio is dog friendly and the brewery is family friendly. There were lots of kids playing outside and they all seemed to be well behaved (thank goodness)! I can't remember which beers I sampled, but I ended up getting the Christmas Ale. I was surprised they still had a Christmas Ale at the end of January, so I had to take advantage. The bartender told me they were almost out. It was really good and had a lot of flavor. I chatted with one of the bartenders and he explained that they had to pivot during the pandemic. They offered to go orders as well as food to comply with the 51% TABC rule. I'm so glad they've been able to survive since they are the only brewery left in Pearland. They did have a food truck parked out front. The owner of the food truck brought around little slips of paper with the menu QR code. I believe they text you when your order is ready. You can bring outside food if you would like. I remember on my first visit, lots of people walked to the Wendy's next door and brought over food. This is such a cool place to hang, grab a beer, and enjoy the company of friends and family. I will definitely be frequenting this place more often because 1. It's awesome, 2. It's in my hood, and 3. We need to continue to support small local businesses!

Yelp
What a great place to hang after enjoying a delicious burger! The service was great. Bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed their Peanut Butter Blonde Ale that wasn't at all sweet and had a nice smell and hinted taste of peanut butter. It was light and refreshing, not at all heavy. Clean bathrooms. Clean establishment overall. We sat at the perfect spot, a table inside that was just on the edge of the patio. We had the warmth of the indoors but the cool breeze and sunshine of the outside. It was perfect. The patio is very spacious and a great place to get some fresh air and/or to let your kids and/or dogs run around and play. Well maybe your kids, probably best to have the dogs sit/stay. I look forward to returning.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday. Was a little apprehensive about bringing my young kids with me but it ended up being perfect. The outdoor area is completely enclosed and there is plenty of space for kids to run around. We came at 2:00 and it wasn't too busy so it was perfect. My only complaint is I wish they offered food, but apparently you can bring your own so you just have to plan ahead.

Yelp
I came here on Saturday night to celebrate an Elite friend's bday with a group after din din. This is a cool brewery. I was surprised to see the parking lot and side streets so packed. This is a family-friendly brewery, which I think a lot of parents seemed VERY happy about. Especially since it's near the burbs. There were kids a plenty. Dogs are also welcome. I will say the house band/entertainment was a little distracting outside. I was not able to enjoy many conversations with the group. The set ran on a little too long. Drinks - I had the cherry sour beer, which was light and tasty. And a cider which I also enjoyed. The service was nice. Bartender offered samples as long as they were on tap and not from a can. Very easy breezy chill place for a kickback for a group.

Yelp
I stopped by Vallensons' Brewing Company on a Friday evening with a couple of friends. Vallensons' has been on my list for quite a while since there aren't a lot of breweries in Pearland. The only other one I can think of is Bakfish. Parking was easy in the lot adjacent to the brewery. Vallensons' has an indoor area with several TVs but we posted up outside on their spacious patio. They have plenty of picnic-style seating and a large backyard. There were people playing disc hockey. And kids running around. It is a family-friendly spot if you want to bring the kiddos. While they don't have food, you're allowed to bring food to the brewery. Some people had brought pizza, for example. Now to get to the most important stuff: the beer! Like most breweries, you're allowed to sample a beer prior to making a purchase. They have a large selection, including a good number of sours. I had three beers and enjoyed them all.
google avatar

Nisha N.

Yelp
The sours they have here are so good! I really good service with recommendations if you need it . Every time we go on the weekend there's been a live musician which adds to the fun ambiance.
google avatar

Rosalind C.

Yelp
Not bad, not bad at all. This place has a area for groups and families. They usually have food trucks but they may sell out. The staff are nice and engaging. It can become a bit chaotic when its busy but pack a little patience and it will be okay. Overall a good place to grab a beer and a goos conversation.

Yelp
Really cool neighborhood nanobrewery with lots of outdoor seating! Open Thursday - Sunday. Beer: Really flavorful with excellent stouts and sours. Enjoyed the doppelbock and their prize-winning stout. Good prices between $5-$7 in general for a pint. Ambiance: Interior is a bit dark with a game playing but the outdoors is lovely on a nice day with a large lot of lawn and lots of picnic blankets. Kiddos/Doggos: Kid friendly and dog friendly! People brought picnic blankets for the kids to hang out on, and kids were playing ball and running around. Very family friendly! There are a lot of dogs here (all on leashes) but if your puppers is shy around other dogs keep that in mind. Parking: Private lot in front of the brewery. If it gets full there's another lot next door that we parked without any problem.

Yelp
We went to the Pearland animal shelter fund raiser. The two $7 Beers we had were flat and kinda skunky. There was only one bbq food truck, and no live music as the flyer said. No animal shelter presence other than the silent auction items. We stayed 20 minutes total. The animal shelter really whiffed on this event. They left a lot of potential donations on the table. Too bad.

Yelp
It's an amazing brewery with a variety of great tasting beers, fun atmosphere and a fantastic staff. We frequent Vallenson's regularly and are so grateful to have such an awesome brewery right here in Pearland.

Yelp
We had really high hopes for this brewery, but we were sadly disappointed with our first visit. We drove 30 minutes to try Vallensons for the first time, and made sure to check the beer list AND QR code on their website before making the trip. When we arrived, they were out of ALL IPAS besides a 9.2% one, even though their online list stated that they had five varieties on tap. As IPA drinkers, the extensive IPA list is what made us choose the brewery and make the drive . Additionally, they were out of several other beers that other people in our party looked up on the site and wanted to try. When we inquired about the misleading selection, we were told "the online list is never accurate" and "you can't trust it" When I asked if the best way to confirm their beer selection was to call ahead , I was told "we don't have a direct line." Good service, nice atmosphere, but for a brewery that advertised to have such an extensive selection, we were extremely disappointed. We understand it's a small family owned brewery, but if they can't keep up with the demand,at the very least, they could update the online menu or come up with a way to convey their beer list to potential customers. Could have been a hit, but it was definitely a miss this time. We would like to give them another chance, but couldn't get an answer how to verify current beers on tap .

Yelp
The night before Thanksgiving was the first time we had ever been to Vallensons! We enjoyed the live music and beer options we were recommended. We will be back again soon!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Great outdoor bar that kinda feels like sipping craft brews on the farm. Their selection is varied and original - I really appreciate it being more than just a bunch of IPAs. Some top beers here for us have been the St Patty's Stout, which tastes like chocolate not mint; the Tropical Sour which tastes like a green apple jolly rancher; the Dilly, a fun pickle beer. Lots of space for kids to run around and play if you need to keep your kids busy while you have a night out. One note, they have a permanent food truck called Texasiana they don't really mention on their website or other media very well, so you can't bring outside food in at all, and if you're hungry it's worth looking up their kinda Cajun style menu.

Yelp
Wow, I was so impressed with this Brewery. They have inside seating & outside if you want to enjoy the nice breeze. They have an outside patio where you can bring your kids & pets. It's a lot of space for them to run around while you're enjoying your beers. I decided to order one of their IPA's, I got the HAAS west coast IPA & I ordered the Tangerine sour. I was expecting for the HAAS to be stronger far as the percentage but it was only 7 percent. It still had that IPA taste though. The tangerine sour had a unique sharp acidic taste to it. Visually it looks like a mimosa but it taste way better. If you're a fan of sour beer then this drink is for you. Overall, great beers & the bartenders were so cool & helpful. I also thought the drinks are at a reasonable price, $6 for a tangerine sour is cheap to me. They don't have food at the brewery but their is a food truck outside & you can place an order through a QR code. Once it's ready you can pick it up from the truck. Will I come back? Heck yeah.

Yelp
Loved this local brewery! My husband and I went with another couple on a Friday night and had a blast here. A few of us ordered a beer flight and they had drink specials where you could pay for a glass and get beer the rest of the night at a discount. There was live music and the environment was family friendly. There were kids and dogs around. We didn't bring either but enjoyed the atmosphere there. The owner came and talked to our table and gave us some background on the brewery history. We will be back!
google avatar

Charlene P.

Yelp
Still love their beers but I have to admit, I don't love the look of the expansion. The interior is so dark and drab.

John B.

Yelp
Terrible experience Saturday night (6/29). Music blasting best described as vulgar urban rap. Lyrics with f-bombs, sexual connotations, all while families with young children present. And showing cage fighting instead of Astros baseball on all TVs. Brought my sister visiting from out of town, regret I wasted my precious time with her at Vallenson's. Last visit for me.
google avatar

Claudia F.

Yelp
A hidden gem. At least for those of us closer to 288. Anyways, we stopped by on a whim, not expecting much and were blown away by the amazing beer. We've visited several breweries and Vallensons has delicious beers. I had the Christmas Ale and loved it! One of my favorite beers ever is the St Arnold Christmas Ale and this one is up there in taste and quality. In a world of large micro breweries, Vallensons refers to themselves as a nano, they truly hold their ground. I personally do not like karbach at all as I haven't found a single beer I like there and since they sold out to Budweiser, but I have found at least 3 at Vallensons in our FIRST VISIT. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Diane D.

Yelp
Great sour beer selection and good atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and patient if you need to sample beers

Yelp
This place is a little hole in the garage slice of heaven. Only open on weekends, it is the perfect little get away from busy, over packed breweries. The night we went they had 12 beers on tap with enough diversity from sours to Russian imperial stouts. They had a food truck called C & S steak that sold out in an hour and a half, and I was so sad cause every single thing they were dishing out looked delicious. A little later they had more in stock, and we had the steak tacos, and they were OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING! Salsa was to die for! Beer though was also amazing and I tried the BeauTEAful, lemongrass ginger beer and the Vilsner German Pilsner. ALL FABULOUS! Highly recommend- The feel of this place is so cozy and laid back without being or having the feel of trying too much. The owner is frequently around and also very interactive with the guests,5 which shows how truly this place is family based. Will DEFINITELY be back and recommend!

Yelp
Vallenson's is one of the best local spots in the Pearland area! Great craft beer!! They have a nice indoor area with about 10-12 barstools at the bar, several tables, two gender-neutral restrooms. Also available are games & stuff. During the summer, they keep the big bay doors closed to keep the temperatures at manageable levels. Every beer I have tried is great. I like their amber a lot! Nice people, Val & his family are nice!

Albert Z.

Yelp
Beer was just okay, did not try any food. More of a family place on a Sunday afternoon with kids everywhere. If you have little kids would be great, if your kids are older or no kids maybe not the time to come. Seems like would be a nice place to watch a sporting event.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
The Staff is always accommodating and welcoming. The beer is always incredibly delicious. We enjoy the atmosphere and usually stop by when we have friends from out of town. The Peanut Butter Blonde, Pink, and Craftea Peach are some of our favorite Beer at Vallensons. I would highly recommend this brewery to others.

Yelp
4.5 edging to 5 stars. Good: Huge outside fenced in area the kids can run around. Bring a ball and let them have recesses. Friendly staff, flights of beers. Wine and cider also on the menu. Food truck rotation. OK: Beer is varied. I have had some I love and some that are so so. I suggest getting a flight and tasting a bunch then picking the ones you like. The inside seating area is a bit small. Bathroom situation could be better. If you live in the area you need to try this place. It is family friendly and I feel the big field that the kids can play in is a great asset. It is a very laid back setting, great for an evening out with the family.
google avatar

Deni K.

Yelp
Incredible staff, amazing, beverages and atmosphere. And just when your ready to leave, a delicious food truck pulls up, and the live music is rocking the beautiful outside space. I highly recommend for any who is looking for a family friendly atmosphere on weekend or weeknight.
google avatar

Rachel N.

Yelp
This place started out as the hobby for a local couple, but has grown much faster than they even dreamed because of its popularity. They have a huge range of beers made in house that can please just about anyone, and a great atmosphere. They have live music and food trucks sometimes, and you can even bring your kids or dogs and let them run around outside in the back.
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
Stopped by as I was in the area on a Friday evening. Taproom was busy with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Nice vibe but the beer was underwhelming. If I lived in Pearland, it would be a very convenient. Not worth going out of your way though.

Emily F.

Yelp
Great brewery! They have quite a few sours on tap which was nice to see. Also a lot of beers that aren't super high ABV. I got their cold IPA and loved it!! My wife got the Hazy Girl and loved that one too. Outside it kind of feels like you're sitting in a family members backyard under a big tree which is good vibes. Only complaint is a did kind of feel like ants were crawling on me at the picnic tables. We would come back more if it wasn't such a drive for us.
google avatar

Lanha T.

Yelp
Family friendly, dog friendly, people friendly. Vallensons is a family owned and operated brewery in Pearland. Every employee was personable and kind. You have an option to have a seat inside (with AC) or outside. Bring your own chair and post up under the big tree in the back. They offer wine or cider for non beer drinkers and there's at least one food truck on location. My go to beer is the imperial amber; Amberzon. It completely hits the spot on a hot summer's day. They have super cute shirts for sale and awesome pint glass koozies. Everyone is pretty laid back so pop in and grab a drink or more.

Doug K.

Yelp
The beer might be the best in Houston. I would say the best but I haven't been to every brewery. Fantastic staff friendly and attentive. The outdoor space is great and they have live music and food trucks that make it an inviting complete experience. The owner is engaged and often present and also a super nice guy.

Jessica A.

Yelp
Definitely a repeat place. Customer service was great. The ambiance was relaxing and chaotic in the best of ways. the beer selection was also very good.
google avatar

Vivienne W.

Yelp
Great local brewery. Love sitting outside and with the additional tables/benches there's lots of space to sprawl out. Kid and dog friendly. Lots of beer options and friendly staff. During covid they have partnered with a full time food truck run by genuine kind people.
google avatar

Craig J.

Yelp
This place is the best. The new renovation makes it even better. Live music today was great. The stouts and sours are amazing. Saison is awesome. Staff is wonderful. What more could you ask for.
google avatar

Jacob M.

Yelp
My favorite local spot to hang out. Val had my wife try a beer and she doesn't ever drink beer I've tried a thousand times but she loved it. Great place for families too.
google avatar

Alan V.

Yelp
Great variety and selection. I picked up some crowlers to go for father's day. Family was impressed with the variety I brought over. Every time I've been there it was chill fun atmosphere. Shame covid-19 won't let us enjoy the location but the second we are in the clear, I will be there enjoying myself. Support them!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Vallensons has done a rare thing. They started strong and have upgraded. What is most impressive about this nano-brewery is that despite the natural real estate limitations, every week they have a new beer coming out and I haven't tasted one that I didn't like. Additionally, they have added regular events like Jeep meetups on Sunday, sports events, St. Patrick's Day events, etc. And I don't know of another brewery that is so family friendly. Most of the patrons are families, playing the board games inside, or having the kids playing outside in the expansive back yard. My only worry about Vallensons' is if they can keep up with the demand. Because more and more people are finding this place.

amber g.

Yelp
What a great find! So happy we followed the Yelp review and gave this place a shot after being disappointed with other places to have a drink in the area. Great layout, beers and people... we will be back!
google avatar

Craig N.

Yelp
What an experience. All I can say is I can't wait to get back! Actually, we are planning on going back this weekend armed with as many crowlers as we can to bring back some beer. Anyway, the two dudes working the bar (which I can't remember their names...sorry!) were absolutely amazing in telling us about their beers and letting us sample some in order to select our faves. To the owner(s)...the guys you have working there are your front line and definitely displayed the kind of image you want your business to possess! On to the beer, we really enjoyed their hazy and scotch ale! Sitting under the tree was pretty fun. Also, during the time we were there about 6 or so guys came with their custom cars from the Veteranos Tejanos car club and parked them near the tree. Pretty cool to see. Those guys are pretty cool. Oh, you can bring your own food there too.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Loved how friendly the owner and staff were. Beer tasted great and was nice and cold. Prices were typical for a brewery. Loved the Oatmeal Stout if dark beer is for you. Environment outside is great for sitting and having a beer with friends and they played the football games inside. There is some street noise nearby but it didn't phase me at all.

Big B.

Yelp
Great selection of craft beers and great service. Outside area is a great big plus for families.

Patricia M.

Yelp
Awesome place to spend Saturday afternoon with the family, including our dog, great beer and the food truck excellent. We'll return

Yelp
We really enjoyed this brewery's atmosphere and the owner is super nice! It's nice to finally have a place to hang out in Pearland. This brewery is dog friendly & kid friendly. The brewery sits on a large lot and has plenty of sitting area. There was a local food truck in the parking lot which was a great option. We will definitely be coming back.

Eli B.

Yelp
Great place and atmosphere! Will be back for sure. Loved the Irish red. Love bold/dark beers, but it's a light easy drinking beer. It's great for hot days! Also, they are dog friendly.
