Where to Eat and Drink During Yakima’s Fresh Hop Ale Festival - Eater Seattle

"This brewery has space, and lots of it, filled with plenty of lagers, IPAs, live music, ping-pong tables, and cornhole. The company’s Wizard IPA is be a top seller, but limited-edition collaborations bring in the crowds, too. The recent Passion Bru, for example, was a passion fruit and pineapple pale ale co-produced by Yakima Valley Hops and Valley Brewing." - Alisha McDarris

Not a fan of the atmosphere here. I bought a flight. 6 for $12 very reasonable. Tried all their Hazies. Really only one was to my liking and that was Opposites Attract. I was pleasantly surprised by the Amber called River Road Red. This was an outstanding beer with a very unique taste! Lastly was the Juice Got Loose. This was a tasty Lager. The gal at the tap was great for sure.

Google
Valley is my favorite Yakima brewery. They always have a great beer selection. If you like hazy beer, this is the best! Great staff. Khrystina (or however you spell Christina with a K) is awesome

Google
Great beer at Valley Brewing and great food from The Corn Guy!

Valley Brewing was open for a quick stop, having Valentina’s right next door for Mexican food was a bonus. Everything was great, will be sure to come back again soon.

Google
No doubt this is a top brewery in Washington State. For that reason they fly under the radar, with an impressive selection of brews in a fun and inviting space with multiple rooms and a cool outdoor area. Every time we come back there is a selection of interesting new beers to pique our taste.

Google
Awesome place. Great beer, great staff. Usually a food truck is always there providing great food to pair. Super cool place. Highly recommend.

Google
Very chill atmosphere with top notch, in-house, micro brews. Nice little Mexican food set-up with some decent options. We recently went to a comedy show there and had a real good time! They also had sports on multiple TVs . Kids are welcome, too.

Yelp
Fun spot!! We stopped in as we were in between activities and had time to kill. What a great find! They have tons of spaces, indoor and out. They have a good selection of beers and a taco stand in the back (separate business?). There was a good crowd Saturday mid-afternoon and even a Girl Scout selling cookies. Yes, please!! We sat outside, enjoyed some sun amongst the clouds and did some people watching. I'd stop in again! Check it out!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem, beer was great. I had a hazy ipa and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed our drinks on the couches. They have ample seating and outdoor seating. Service was great and the bathrooms are clean.

Yelp
Valley Brewing is a newer brewery... at least to me since my last trip to Walla Walla. There were several newer ones I was excited to go to some a mini event was happening on our visit here. Valley Brewing also proved to be a real hit for us as we really liked the beer here... we were liking the beer everywhere we were visiting actually. For Valley Brewing we tried a few beers. The Blonde Bite was one in which we loved that lemony kick to the taste profile. We also got the Juice Got Loose IPA with about four different hops to it for the "juicy" aspect to it which described the beer nicely! The beertenders were cool and wanted to know the other breweries we were visiting and comparing notes. It was a fun experience... one worth repeating!

Yelp
Cool nice cozy little brewery in Yakima. I hope I can buy a tin tacker from this place soon.

Yelp
The perfect summer combo, coconut and beer. Valley's head brewer (Joel) absolutely smashed this one! I've yet to try something I haven't enjoyed. This place always has a great selection and their experimental beers/ sours are next level. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Another great stop in Yakima. They had a lot of indoor space plus a large beer garden outside. I had the blonde, it was a perfect summer beer. Sounds like they also have live music some nights, I'd recommend a stop by!

Yelp
Beer is really good but waited over an hour for the food...including the chips and salsa! Just come for beer and forget the food next time.

Yelp
For many years there is a distinct lack of breweries town despite the fact that we produce close to 80% of the hops in the country. Luckily, that's no longer the case! In the same vein as many of the other brews houses in town, Valley brewing continues the elevated game of the local brewery scene. They're located on river road, just off Fruitvale. There's not a ton of parking out front, but they have an ancillary lot about a half a block away. For most of the year, this works out really well! They've got great indoor and outdoor seating with room for 50 or 60 people inside. The bar has a set up, with a lot of different options, predominantly IPAs, but also with a few cider, stout and other options. The focus here is obviously on stuff that they make, but they've also got a few other local options. Most of these breweries play really well in the sandbox, so it's nice to be able to sample from the place you're at as well as the place down the street. They have a couple food options, as well as a big bowl of serve yourself pretzels right by the bar! That was a surprising find, and one of the more fun things that I've seen in a while. I wasn't expecting to be impressed by something like that, but it ultimately it was pretty rad! Chill vibe, some great beer and a killer space to hang...hard to make it much better!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a couple pints of their Blonde Bite, I was after a flight but most of the beers were IPAs which I usually pass on. The beer was good and grabbed a small snack from the onsite Mexican snack stand, was also great! Love the backyard atmosphere, very comfortable, with Wifi available so I could multitask at work, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Had the Space Bound hazy and a peach cider from across town. Greta outdoor space outside to sit in an enclosed yard with picnic tables and great beer drinking ambience. Bartender was informative. Able to buy a single can you take home which is TOP in my book when I want assortment from the beer travels while on vacay.

Yelp
What a great find in the time of COVID. A great place to spend some time outside, drink some great beer and enjoy the food of Meraki Creations 2. The neighborhood may have you questioning your choice, but don't. Once you enter and head to the outdoor space out back you will encounter a festive atmosphere with good beer and good food.

Yelp
This place has great beer! That is more than you can say about some other breweries in Yakima. The place has a good feel, cool decor, it is a small, comfortable spot to grab a beer and hang out. If your in town visiting and want to have a beer in the valley that produces over a third of the worlds hops I think this is a good place to start!

Yelp
Just visiting Yakima for a few days. I started my tour of local breweries. So far, Valley is my fav. Limited beers on the menu, unfortunately mainly IPA's. But I ordered a 4 flight taster. The blonde, Amber, and stout had a great classic flavor... cider on tap was getting funky, gag. Overall, great experience. The tap room is small but clean, the back offers a bigger outdoor seating area, plenty of tables a chairs, a few fire pits, and a food truck. I'm giving 4 stars because of the limited menu full of IPA's and yucky cider. It's ever rotating, but it would be nice if you guys regularly tasted taps to ensure fresh beer. I enjoyed my experience and remaining beers... definitely stopping in again!

Yelp
The outside space at Valley Brewing is awesome. Whenever Pete is working, you know you are going to get awesome service. He greets you as soon as you walk in, is attentive to when you need another drink, and always open to friendly conversation. I have been when Kolton was working and had to wait to order because he was nowhere to be seen, he bussed glasses from our table, but asked all of the other tables around us if they would like another and brought them new drinks, but not our table. I would hands down recommend this place when Pete is working, otherwise it is pretty standard to any brewery in town.

Yelp
Loved this place. Taco truck outside the evening we were there. Kids played with the cornhole games and made little friends. Very family friendly and great beer selection. So happy we ended up here!

Yelp
I once's fooled valley brewing out of a growler of cider during a football game, and I've been coming back ever since! Best brewery in the area! And always have the best food trucks in town there on the weekends! See you soon!

Yelp
Great small brewery with very tasty IPAs - settled on the Juice Got Loose. Service excellent.

Yelp
Beer selection is always changing and drag. Something for ever Excellent service and bartenders are extremely friendly! Highly recommended!

Dennis G.

Yelp
We had a great time, fantastic beer, felt comfortable with all of their COVID safety measures. Also had some great engagement with the owner and Chef of MERAKI The Greek restaurant serving food outside and take out at the brewery. Outstanding.

Yelp
Great new brewery here in Yakima! They recently opened an outside patio area that really gave the brewery an extra touch. The patio area has a lot more seating, corn hole, darts, etc. I've yet to make it to an event but see they always usually have some sort of food truck or even concerts. Juice Got Loose IPA is my personal favorite!

Matt G.

Yelp
Best beer in Yakima! Super friendly staff! Bomb ass pizza too! More of an IPA style brewery! But they always have something for everyone's palate!

Sandy K.

Yelp
Love this place! The bartenders are super friendly and like to answer questions about their beer. The customers we've encountered are eager to share what their favorite is on tap! The last two visits have provided a tasty meal from local food trucks- both were yummy! The building looks a little small from the outside but it has a great layout and nice outdoor area with seating and lawn. One of our favorites!
