Val’s is a hidden gem! This spot is seriously a game-changer! I stopped in for breakfast, and everything was top-notch – the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the beef bacon had that perfect crisp. But the real star of the show? The lamb chops. I'm not kidding, these bad boys are the best I've ever tasted in Philly. The seasoning was on point, and they had this amazing sweetness to them that just blew my mind. I came with a party of 4 and the wait was 5-10minutes. The customer service was A1. The guy talked to us about the Eagles. G000 birds and explained the wait may vary depending on what we order. Our food came out, hot and delicious. The Fruity pebbles waffles, and red velvet waffles were A1!! If you enjoy breakfast stop by, they have other options besides breakfast as well. ( Plus for anyone who doesn’t eat pork, they cook their pork products separate. As a Muslim that’s a plus to know).

Really wanted this place to work out. One large group of 12 or so when we got there. No one else. Seemed to have ordered already. Their food arrived 45 to 60 mins into our own wait. One waitress. Clearly only one person on the kitchen. Took our Order 15 minutes after sitting....after 50 mins waiting for the food....We tried to get her attention. When she came to serve the neighbors she ignored our calls....eight feet away ... Gave it one last chance....the next set of plates was.... still, for our neighbors...we left. A fiver for the coffee on the table....we were there nearly 1 hour and ten minutes!! Left and she was nowhere in view....good luck to the others three booths that had seated 20-30 mins ago ...

This place must be quite new! My friends and I came after the Rocky 5k and waited until this place opened. It seems they weren't ready to open at 9 and it took a long time for us to get seated. The server was sooooo lovely but the food lacked seasoning and took very long. All in all we hope Vals continues to grow from feedback especially since I believe they have an interesting menu, but the wait time and flavor wasn't worth it.

From the moment I stepped into this new restaurant, I was immediately swept up in a wave of warm hospitality. The ambience was nothing short of delightful, with a tastefully decorated bar that exuded a sense of comfort and sophistication. But what truly set this place apart was the food. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind or a spot to celebrate a special occasion, this is the place to be on the weekends. I can't wait to return and experience the magic all over again.

Food was edible, service was good, The place is nice and clean, but the wait was astronomically long. We were a party of 13. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 30-40 minutes. In fact, our orders were taken before anyone else showed up. A couple arrived when our coffees were being served and we saw them walking out after they saw how long our food was taking to come out (they had coffee). The server was good, but I wish she would communicated with us as to why it was taking so long. We were all very aware that our food would take long since we were a large group, but not that long. Especially not breakfast food.

I went to Val’s for the first time and I was so impressed with the service and food. The shrimp and grits, avocado toast, salmon and grits, I will definitely return!

Very cute place, recently opened. The service was very good as well. Food was delicious
