10 New Restaurants in Broward County to Check Out Right Now

"This spot is a welcome, nearby distraction from Las Olas Boulevard’s oversaturation of Italian spots. Boasting an Italian-meets-Mediterranean menu, its five-course tasting menu dazzles with homemade tortelli, a curry-dashed grouper, and duck along the way." - Jesse Scott

Think about the best meal you’ve ever had.. and now forget it. You’ve not had the best meal you’ve ever had until you’ve come to Val+Tino. The food is otherworldly. I have never had such an amazing culinary experience before, especially in Fort Lauderdale. I highly recommend for special occasions (anniversary, birthday, etc) and for an intimate date night as well. Family time works too! The portions are perfect. The staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. From the moment you pull up to the moment you leave. The Chefs, sous chefs and supporting staff are always smiling and you can tell they really love what they do, as it translates into the beauty and taste of the food here. I would give 15 stars if I could.

WOW...just WOW!!! Mike Linder really knocked it out of the park...genius move partnering with Chef Giovanni Rocchio. We've been fans of Mike's concepts & Chef Giovanni's Cucina for many years. Food for the gods & mere mortals 🤤😉 Wishing everyone much longevity & success🙏

This place is unreal. The atmosphere is new and chic, it feels like a place that's been open for 50 years, and like the hot new secret in town. The chef is incredible, but the bartender is a GENIUS. Ian made me the best drinks I've ever had, I'll be back soon with friends and with family.

I searched this restaurant on Google and many reviews said it was good. I don’t know if it was reviewed by my own reviewers. When we entered the restaurant to dine, it was really uncomfortable. The service was poor and we waited for an hour before the beef main course was served. The beef main course was US$48 for 6oz. The portion was pitifully small. Bread for starters costs $6. If you want to fill your stomach and have a more comfortable dinner, don’t go here.

Best chef in Fort Lauderdale reopens new place old spot and serves me dishes that blew my mind. Don’t dare fade the duck breast. Everything was spot on. Perfectionist and master chef. Lots of old faces from the staff was really great to see. Big props on that. Can’t wait to go back. A must.

Yelp
The ambience was nice. The service was excellent. The cool tall duck breast display prompted me to order the duck breast, so I did. However the presentation was like nothing I've ever seen in a duck entree, it didn't look very appetizing. I took a bite, it wasn't good. Someone suggested I try a different area of the duck, still not good. The server must have seen my face bc he asked me what was wrong and promptly provide me with a filet as a replacement, which was Excellent. The beef tartare was amazing also! $$$$

Yelp
Am so happy this has come to our neighborhood. The first night opening was a hit. Sat at the bar and Ian was amazing. Completely redone from what it once was. Saw the menu and was so excited about every dish. Menu was perfect. Not too much where you feel overwhelmed. I shared with hubby each dish and it was perfect. Then at the end of meal decided on two desserts. Decadent, delicious, and all perfectly executed. Thank you for bringing this to Rio Vista. Keep up the hard work and do not change a thing.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! The service was very good. Our table did the tasting menu and added a couple of dishes. The pasta with beets and goat cheese may have been the best pasta I've ever had. It was beyond light and airy and delicious. There was also a standout, oddly; the amuse bouche. It was a beautiful airy cheesy play on a baked potato. I would love to see this as a side dish with bits of crispy bacon, and perhaps some scallion as a side for their steak. The amberjack raw prep was also fresh and delicious. Much less successful for me, and the table was the duck. It was not good. Extremely one note; all you could taste was plain soy. The fat was not rendered and the meat was a bit rubbery. This was a disappointing dish for the entire table as the waiter said that this was the star of the meal so the expectations were very high. The grouper with curry was overcooked a bit and there was no curry flavor. It just tasted like a creamy sauce without much flavor. The froie gras was the absolute best I've ever had. The seafood pasta was good. Unctuous flavors. The desserts were fabulous. I especially liked the coconut with mango sorbet twill. Very good. All in all, I would definitely return for the goat cheese and beet pasta, and pray that they keep it on their menu. And I will absolutely dream about the foie.

Yelp
If you are looking to have same dining experience with the new Val+tinos as with the old Valentinos as was my hope, this is different. Very limited menu, no specials One or two pasta dishes but nothing Italian about any dish Not the same Valentino's AT ALL Ambiance and service top notch but food selection was disappointing. Miss the original.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in South Florida the crew are so professional thank you Chef Kelly , chef Jake amd chef #7

Yelp
The old Valentinos was one of our go-to places to dine prior to Covid. We are thrilled that it is back and better than ever as Val+Tino's. The whole atmosphere has been remodeled and the food was exceptional. Finally, fine dining is back in Fort Lauderdale!
