Stumbled upon this ice cream place, very fresh, very clean. Lots of flavors. Little pricey but appeared to be quality product. Good size portion. Friendly, helpful staff. Great flavor. Would recommend and return. On the second floor of Grand Central Station.

I got 2 scoops of some vegan flavors with a waffle cone, and the guy loaded me up on sprinkles. It was around half full of sprinkles. Surprisingly spoonfuls of sprinkles and some ice cream is pretty good.

Fantastic ice cream!! So glad that we stopped and got some. Tried the Brown sugar cookie dough and Peanut Butter Brownie... so good!!! Tuesdays are also free topping day so try them!

The ice cream itself is amazing. However, the milkshake lacked flavour and tasted like milk with a touch on strawberry flavour. Will not be ordering that again.

The ice cream wasn’t creamy at all and had a strong taste of frozen milk powder. The texture was strange, and it was hard to believe we ended up throwing away $30 worth of food. They offered many flavors, but all of them had a terrible aftertaste. It's definitely not worth the wait. They had kid-sized cones, which were just a dollar less than the small ones. Plus, the person who served us seemed impatient.

Great place to end the day with something sweet. Some really good flavours on offer. Too crowded though so you can expect a queue. Tables are limited so expect to stand and enjoy unless you are good to enjoy the ice cream outside in -10 degrees. (We were here in December) They have vegan options but we did not try those.

If you're waiting for a train and want to grab a cone, you'll be happy with this fix. If you're a serious ice cream person, at a minimum, I would suggest a different Van Leeuwen store. My experience around 9pm on a Sunday night was a little bit of a let down. No signage for available flavors-- aside from the little circles as you file past the freezers. The freezer was half empty. Rushed, I made a choice I wouldn't make again. The small vegan ice cream I tried (cookies+ cream with caramel) had a texture of once-half-melted-then-refrozen. Another observation: while the sundaes were clearly marked on a menu near the entrance to the queue-- I don't think all the base ice cream flavors were even available.
