Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Great place to end the day with something sweet. Some really good flavours on offer. Too crowded though so you can expect a queue. Tables are limited so expect to stand and enjoy unless you are good to enjoy the ice cream outside in -10 degrees. (We were here in December) They have vegan options but we did not try those.

I bought a peanut butter and brownie ice cream here and another honey one, which I enjoyed a lot. Personally, it was hard for me to get here, and I've been living in NYC for a while. The trick to get to this ice cream shop quickly is to go down the stairs of the Apple Store. It's in a corner. I left some reference photos in case you want to come visit the ice cream shop. The staff treated me super well, the ice cream was delicious and the price-size seemed ideal to me.

Neat place to stop for gelato at Grand Central Terminal. Located in the lower level, near the escalators. Clean, decent selection, and polite staff. Highly recommend!

I got here on January 31, 2025, because New York Blood Center was holding a cross-promotion w/ Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Good cause, good pint, at the nearby GCT! Some people might say that the special Sour Cherry Creamsicle is too intense for a whole pint on my first try. They'd be almost right. I enjoyed it anyway!

Staff are very friendly and helpful with flavor selection. There are a lot of vegan options. I like segue brown sugar cookie dough flavor. The prices are high but portions are large. Van Leuwen ice cream is not my favorite though, not sure why.

The Earl Grey flavour was definitely interesting; I didn't find the honeycomb interesting though. Would go again but just try the usual flavors I like in an ice cream.

The ice cream disappoint and was thick and creamy. The workers were also very helpful and gave large portions. Would defiantly recommend!

I removed one start because I didn't find the flavor that I wanted. Beside that, helpful personal and friendly. Went at 11pm. Is not the best, but is a good and consistency ice cream
