The Birria Ramen was very delicious and tasty. I highly recommend come here. It is a very small restaurant for people who just want to a good little dinner or lunch in peace. There is a seating area outside that is very peaceful and nice if you wanted to feel the breeze, our waiter Len was amazing. He held a great conversation and he even recommended some foods to us that he liked. My overall experience coming here was phenomenal 10/10 recommend. Only for small groups though!

I truly enjoyed my visit to Vandals! I had this resteraunt on my list of places to visit for a year! I happened to be at an appointment at Providence Hospital but had no idea this resteraunt was right in front of it, I was so excited! I loved my waitress, she was great! I got a little of everything! I tried blueberry margarita and the Vietnamese coffee with kahlua. Both were great, but the blueberry margarita with the rim was delicious! For starters, I tried the Brussel sprouts and street corn. The Brussel sprouts had too much honey taste and sauce, so I was sad once the crunch ended and the sweetness took over, but the street corn made up for it. For the entree, I got the fried chicken bowl, and it was great! I wish it had also been a little less sweet, but it literally says hot honey in description, so it's what I picked and what I got, lol. Lastly, I got the churros. They are delicious and what any sweet tooth would crave! So I loved my experience. I loved trying everything. My sweet tooth isn't as sweet as I thought, going into my 40s this year and maybe savory will be more my friend than sweets 🤨😅☺️. P.S. My kids loved all my leftovers, nothing was left by the next morning!

Solid place with an upscale but casual vibe. We had the Korean BBQ Bao, Soup dumplings, pot stickers, street corn, shrimp taco, steak taco, and street fries. All very good. Our party has eaten these food all over the world —including in their original countries and these were a solid comparison. Definitely a chef in the kitchen, not just warmed-up Sysco truck ingredients. Well worth a try for a date night or a fun dinner with friends. Happy hour from 3-6 is a great deal. Lots of GF options. Our server was knowledgeable about the ingredients and the menus. It is a bit cold so bring a jumper!

Feel like there are not many places outside of downtown mobile that have a good cocktail menu and this one does. Very eclectic and good. We came for lunch and got the chorizo rangoons (I could eat 20) these were my favorite menu item. The chicken dumplings were fantastic and came with a red curry dipping sauce that packed the punch. Their taco of the month was a bahn mi taco. It was yummy but there was a little too much sauce in it so got very messy. Not many people in on a workday after a hurricane but it's a cute fun spot for a girls night or simply a date night

Food and service was A+ I'm not quite sure why this place wasn't packed... everything went perfectly smooth. I can't explain how great the food and drinks were. I will be coming back.

So I tried Vandals Street Kitchen. I can't remember the name of the restaurant that was at this location previous to Vandals but I wanted to try it as well. I don't know what made me want to go there but it might have been the name alone. I also like the color scheme in their signage. Whatever it was I'm glad I did. There's always a dilemma when trying a new restaurant. I want to try everything on the menu that sounds good. Vandals has plenty to choose from. They had appetizers like street corn, pot stickers, egg rolls, and even chorizo wontons. I have to try the chorizo wontons next time. They also had sticky short rib, El Pastoritto, and Korean fajitas for main dishes. Add Korean fajitas to the list for next time. I ended up selecting the hot honey chicken. For some reason hot honey chicken seems to be the craze nowadays. I had been seeing hot honey sauces in grocery stores I frequent lately and I decided to get initiated. I ordered online and the wait time indicated it would be at least 30 minutes. As I was driving to pick up my order I received a text that said my order was ready. My order was ready 10 minutes earlier than expected. When I arrived at Vandals the parking lot was full. I had to park in this kind of service road in front of the restaurant. Full parking lots are usually a good sign that the food is really good. The place was packed when I got inside. The outdoor area was filled up too. I couldn't wait to try my food. I'll say the food did not disappoint. The hot honey chicken came with either fried or white rice and pickled vegetables. I did the fried rice. It was delicious along with the pickled vegetables. My only gripe is that I wish there were more pickled vegetables. Now the chicken was really a delight. It was fried especially well. It had a nice crunch to it. The meat was very tender. It was a juicy chicken breast that had lots of flavor. I loved how the sweetness and spiciness complimented each other. It was not overly spicy or overly sweet. It was perfect. I give my first Vandals Street Kitchen visit 5 stars. I will definitely come back!!

This place is a delight to all the senses. It's so colorful in this cozy spot. I loved all the murals and chandeliers. All the servers were delightful and friendly. Now the food..the portions are large and the food was delicious. It is a fusion spot and it did not disappoint! We tried the street fries, soup dumplings, chorizo wontons, hot honey chicken thigh with fried rice and the banh mi. Whew!! I had to pack up my food because we ordered "too much" but it was worth it. And the price point was reasonable too. I'm going back for the short ribs on my next visit!!

Came to this place spontaneously on a whim with my gf. I'd like to start off by saying ATMOSPHERE is great, love the maximalism n urban designs inside the restaurant. The customer service is great & everyone is very welcoming. My ONLY issue-the food. We ordered bowls and it tasted as if someone dumped vinegar throughout the entire dish. Also there was something in my gfs drink and the forks handed to us were dirty. Perhaps it was just a bad day or a poor selection in the food that day. Willing to give this place another try but I was initially disappointed. Also the mix between mexican n Korean? Very confusing. Feels more like a bar than restaurant

The food is great a good combination of Mexican and Asian food. They have an awesome decor with great artwork on the wall and their service is prompt.

This review is specifically about the food and not the whole atmosphere of the restaurant as I ordered through DoorDash. But even great atmosphere won't make up for the food I received. I ordered the Red Light district ramen for $20 dollars, now good ramen at that price point I would say is totally justified, however, this was not it. The noodles were absolutely disgusting, it tasted like raw dough, you can't even separate the strands so it was just one raw blob, I had to push it aside in fear that it might make me sick. The "broth", if you can even call if that, tastes like if someone took supermarket pork broth and dumped in a ton of soy sauce and garlic flavoring, it is extremely overwhelming and unpleasant. The only thing worth eating in this ramen was the chashu, but that's pretty hard to mess that up unless you were using old meat. So one star goes to the chashu and one goes to the fact that I did not visit in person. And after this experience, I definitely won't be ever.

Hipster spot with good food. We were very surprised to see a hip restaurant in Mobile. Very happy to have yet another place to eat in west Mobile. From the egg rolls to the shrimp fried rice and sandwiches. Everything was delicious. Til next time

When we entered Vandals I had high hopes for this place. The food was just ok. The best part was the ambience, cucumber margarita and the tres leches bread pudding. We ordered the friend wontons appetizer with the queso and it was really good. I had the fajita bahn me and it was meh. Definitely not memorable or tasty. My beau ordered a burrito that was also good. Give it a try but don't have high hopes!

I went here not knowing what to expect, and I thought it was great! My wife and I ordered the tacos and bao buns, and both were delicious. Five stars to the veggie tacos and Korean fried chicken bao buns. Also, the inside is super nice. Great atmosphere, and it is clear that they put a ton of effort into the decor. Really loved how it looked. Lastly, the service was wonderful. Really attentive and polite. It was overall a really great experience for me and my wife!

The staff is awesome!! Great customer service! There were several large parties (including ours) and our waitress remained calm, patient, polite and attentive. The food was yummy. We ordered so many appetizers for the table I was truly full when the food came. Come here! You won't regret it

Back again! After the awesome experience last time, we came back for Sunday Night dinner. They weren't busy and our servers were wonderful! I truly believe this is such a hidden gem in Mobile! I will be recommending this everywhere! All the food is a 10/10! I promise you, you cannot go wrong!

Everything was delicious and the service great! We went to celebrate a birthday and it was perfect. We had the cheese dip and pork rinds, the bao buns, and the Korean chicken - all outstanding.

I went here about a month or so ago for the first time. Food was kinda bland, drinks were super good, atmosphere was insanely cool! Our waitress wasn't great but she was completely horrible. Mid experience for the price and limited menu options. If you're on the fence about this place I wouldn't recommend it to be completely honest.

I really do try to go out of my way to support good local spots, and since this one is still getting on its feet I'm not going to be too harsh. We dined here for the first time last night, a Friday. Arrived around 7 and wasn't expecting it to be so packed, but the wait wasn't too long. During really busy hours can also lend to a less than stellar experience so I'm factoring that in as well. The atmosphere is really modern and cool. It's small though, and with so many people it gets very loud. When our name was called, the only seating were two stools at the bar, not what I had hoped for our evening out, but it is what it is. The first thing I look at when evaluating a restaurant is their beer selection, and I do have to be honest here that the only beers on offer, except one, are all mass produced industrial products, and the single microbrew was an IPA So ended up settling for a brand of beer-water that happens to be stocked here in cans. The can was brought and sat in front of me. Not opened, no glass, no napkin. I don't expect every restaurant or bar to employ a beer cicerone, but still. From what I could see of the wines, they were the typical lower priced variety most every restaurant serves. We ordered two appetizers as we continued to look over the entrees. We had chorizo wontons and fried chicken wings coated in gochujang sauce. Both were very good, but I do have to point out that if I had tried the chorizo wontons not knowing what they were, I would have never known chorizo was a component. They are filled with cheese and served with a cheese sauce for dipping. Very tasty, just no discernible chorizo flavor and the double cheese factor is redundant. A creamy cilantro-ginger dip would have paired amazingly. The chicken was hot, juicy, crispy, plump, and just spicy enough. I almost want to go back and see if I can try them fried and not tossed in sauce but with the sauce served on the side to appreciate the flavor of the chicken with the gochujang as an accent rather than so pronounced. But they were still good they way the kitchen makes them. Try them! All said and done, it was a busy night for the wait staff and kitchen and the dining room was very loud so we opted to leave after the appetizers and beer, but we'll be back on a slower day and I'll update this critique accordingly. There is so much on their very creative menu I look forward to trying.

I went out to eat here after work with co-workers. We tried a variety of appetizers. (I forgot the names of them, sorry, but they were different and tasty). I ordered the Hong Kong wings, pickled vegetables, and shrimp fried rice. Plenty of leftovers to say the least. The atmosphere is very cool. We went before 7pm so the environment was good for families as there were families there with children. The murals on the walls are beautiful. This is a fun restaurant to try out, small and intimate. Paul was our waiter, and was super cool and professional. I will return. Co-workers and I enjoyed the outing with our boss.

Vandals' service is excellent! Very hospitable and informative with appreciation of good foods and beverages. The ambiance is upbeat and pleasant. We enjoyed some great Brazilian rhythms yet, still felt comfortable in our conversation while those around us were also enjoying music and discussions. My husband had the Ahi tuna taco and grilled tuna taco, chased with a nice IPA. He was amazed by the delicacy of the tuna enhanced by sauce and toppings. The grilled shrimp were perfect, plump and perfect texture with veggies and sauce. I had steak tacos that were great. Really looking forward to try a poke bowl or bao. This place is wonderful!

The appetizers we delicious and the steak bowl was yummy! Those drinks tho! The best bartender ever! They were awesome. This place is a must try in Mobile.

Finally got to check this place out. Have had an eye on it for a while knowing it came from the Rock'n Roll Sushi brand. However not living in Mobile anymore, it took a little while to get a visit in. My wife and I wanted to try a variety of things and very happy with it all! Started out with a couple Lychee Mules which was a nice spin on a classic drink. Ordered Bao Buns with the Korean chicken which were full of flavor. Little on the peppery side for my wife, but perfect for me. Next was Birria Taco's with braised short ribs, possibly the highlight of the night. Had a rich flavor unlike anything I've had. We kept the broth to dip other things in because it was so good. Also had a Tia's Al Pastor taco(strong flavors, pork was a little tough because it was cubed instead of sliced), Hot Honey Chicken(perfectly crispy, great flavor, wish it was a little saucier), and Taco Bamh Mi(I think my wife's favorite of the high. Super tender, great flavors). Should also note that the wait staff was very attentive and friendly as well. Not once were we in need for something without it getting taken care of quickly. To sum it up, this place did not disappoint. Will most certainly visit again because there was so much more on the menu we want to try.

Been wanting to try this place. Service was excellent. Food was spicy and perfect. Did. Not give 5 stars only because it was so loud. I guess if you were on the street in Korea it would be loud too but it. Was hard to have a conversation with these older ears. Definitely a must go place.

I've heard a lot of hype about this place so I had to check it out. The interior definitely stand out when you walk in. I think the best part of the inside is the bar area for me. I honestly enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrees. I was looking forward to the street tacos but they were quite disappointing. I ordered 3 different tacos and my favorite one was the fish taco. The Banh Mi taco, the meat was so dry and overcooked and same for Tia's Al Pastor. I really like the Korean fried chicken Bao buns and Chorizo wontons. My wife ordered the Pho Birria; it was spicy but bland. This place is a good spot to hang out with a groups, i'll give this another shot to try out other entrees.

I really wanted to give this place five stars. The menu looks awesome. The decor is way cool. The service is rockstar. The people are so nice. But man the food is bland. It's fresh, but it's bland. Please please put some attitude into the food so I can come back and bump the stars. This was seriously the hardest three stars I've ever given. I would love to make this my stop for food on the way home from the airport.

Visited one day for lunch very good small plates. I need to visit again just to make sure but I was satisfied with the food that I ate mostly with just for the ambience and it was beautiful and they are to look at again. Someone suggested the fried rice didn't try at that time, but maybe next time I will return and give her for review at that time.

Late leading my review as we came during the very busy soft opening. Our group loved everything we tried, the cocktails were all very good. My husband had an old fashioned that I've thought of frequently since we left! Everything was very fresh and flavorful.

Very interesting choice for me. While it was flavorful and delicious my fajitas weren't hot when they came out. If your gonna bring it out on a sizzle platter it should at least be sizzling. Overall it was very good, if you looking for something different I'd recommend this place

Latin and Korean infused street food. Being Cuban and from Miami this placed checked all the boxes. The vibe made me feel like I was dining in an upscale Miami Restaurant without the price tag. Loved the Latin music. The kids portion was bigger then most local restaurants adult serving of chicken fried rice. My husband had the burrito and myself the tradition pork sand which and both were delicious. We started with the steak wonton and the cheese dipping sauce is so good. On top of it all fast and friendly service. Emily was such a kind and patient waitress. It always makes me anxious to go out to eat with a 3 year old but she was very accommodating and pleasant.

I liked it! The Bao Buns were so fluffy and delicious. Its such an interesting mix of asian and southwest foods. We also loved the Birria Tacos. The atmosphere is fun and colorful. The night we went it did get pretty crowded and loud. Would love to go again.

The food was great, but the portions were incredibly small considering the price. My shrimp taco had 3 shrimp total. All in all, for the money, it wasn't worth it.

It's a really cool place and cool decor. I went on a Tuesday during lunch and the bar was covered in all sorts of stuff. Boxes in the corners. Just looked really junky in every corner which is sad it just shows lack of management tho. The food is very ehhhh but good atmosphere. I really think this place could be super cool if they had a real chef and good management to clean it up. Not dirty just messy looking with all the junk.

The food was very mediocre and the gnats/flies were very annoying while sitting at the table. I don't plan on going back to pay money for food that was just okay.

Wanted to love this place but not able to get past average taste and quality of entree. Upgraded interior is brightly lit and has multiple large images on the walls with painted chandeliers and a new bar. menu is an eclectic fusion of Asian and Mexican. Chips and French fries are replaced by fresh pork rinds which are delicious. Unfortunately, the appetizer and entree we ordered were just not that good. Appy was Bao bun with shrimp. bao bun was fresh and tempura shrimp was good but not much else added for flavor. so, kind of bland. Similarly the entree was bland too. we both ordered the OG Banh Mi sandwich which comes with the pork rinds. Sandwich roll was very fresh and good but pork slices were fatty and had a lot of gristle so very chewy. the sandwich dressing was a bit of cole slaw and jalapeño slices. The aoli was spread very thin and was bland, too. Overall we were disappointed with our meal and won't return.
