Vanessa's Dumpling House

This is a no nonsense dumpling house with delicious simple food that is good for the soul. Pricing is reasonable but the staff took Vanessa’s over the top. Recommend this place (specially on those cold days where you need something to put you right). Special mention should be made of their cucumber salad which offered the perfect accompaniment to those tasty dumplings.

Good value for money restaurant with delicious dumplings, noodles and buns. The portions are ample. There is limited seating and can get loud. Fast service.

Quick counter service for your quick Chinese fix. I can honestly say food, service and cleanliness is above average but not equal to Flushing or even Chinatown. Don’t get me wrong, for the Neighbourhood, they do a good job and provide an alternative to the burgers and steaks around the area. An excellent spot if you’re on a budget.

Kind staff. The dough of the dumplings didn’t feel homemade. The atmosphere of the place isn’t cozy so we ordered to take away. Prices have slightly increased. Great location.

Delicious food as always. Glad I found the brooklyn location, it had outdoor seating which was perfect as we had our dogs with us.

The sandwich always hits. The wontons were tasty. The pan fried dumplings are way better than the boiled. Boiling it does something to the consistency for me. The pan fried has a great crunch on the seared side.

Got a quick order from the touch kiosk of buns and hot and sour soup. This place is pretty low key but actually has alot of seating maybe 8 tables total. They have vinegar and their own hot sauce out for everyone, both if which i thought were quite goot. The buns were perfectly cooked and had a great ratio of dough to meat, not dry at all and very flavorful, though i did add some dumpling sauce to them. The hot and sour soup was pretty good though in was lacking on the vinegar snot really that sour, i also added some hot sauce which balanced it nicely. So while the soup was neither particularly hot or sour the flavor and amount of mushrooms, vegetables and tofu was what saved it, really tasty and their bamboo shoots were tender and never tough to eat, which is not always easy to do.

I found this place on YouTube while I was in Brooklyn New York and I was so glad that went to there. I got one pork dumpling and sour egg soup and both are so good! Fried dumpling was crispy outside and there was pork with its juice! So delicious. The soup I ordered was small size, but it was a big and enough for one person. Total price for lunch is just around $10! Great piece for these delicious food! I went there 2 times in 2 weeks. I highly recommend this place!!
