Vapiano Chicago Riverside

Been here two times for lunch. First time there I ordered pasta with cream sauce (which was fine), and pizza for the second time (which wasn't that good). Service is great and the place is clean and cozy.

Love the new location, the system is good, but different from other locations - you order and pay at the terminal. I came at 11:55am and got my order done in 5-10 minutes, but immediately at 12 wait time increased significantly. Waiter offered a water twice - that was nice of him. Like: - pasta and coffee are good - free water (no such option in the loop) - design (the tree is beautiful) - order system (pay-ahead) Dislike: - when I selected “mild spicy” in the terminal I had no idea it means jalapeño mixed in my pasta - no idea how to lock women’s restroom WC door - lines during rush hour between 12-1

What a great restaurant! So many great menu options. We had the side ceaser salad and a caprese pizza. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had. The restaurant was right by Union Station. Wish I lived closer!

Large groups really require wait staff. No wait staff means your customeres have to keep the large orders straight which also adds confusion. The food is good though. So if you're buying your food yourself and have a small party it may be good for you.

Great food. But a confused experience. Really nice looking place with uncomfortable seating. More of a QSR then standard makes the prices to go. Also liked the kiosk for ordering, like at McDonald's. But have no receipt, light up puck to know when to get your order at the counter. Two of us, but the orders came up 10 minutes apart, so he was mostly done when I got mine.. Also had ordered a dessert, but was missing, and no receipt so not sure the kiosk ordered it.

I had an excellent experience here. I came here for an internship lunch and the food was delicious. The environment was lively yet not too packed. Clean area and great customer service!

I loved this place. The ambiance was awesome, one of the best pesto pasta I had and the lasagna was just so cheesy and perfect. 🍲 #letsguide

Veg Lasagne was awesome. Good place to have lunch with pears an friends. Food was good.
