What a fantastic tour! Great bourbon and single malts. Tour from Alister was one of the best tours I've had. Very casual and extremely informative. Loved the experience!

Wonderful and informative tasting at Vapor Distillery. I am mostly a bourbon fan but the one single malt I tried was excellent. The cask strength bourbon I tried was phenomenal. Just won an award. Unassuming place but excellent spirits. Bought two of the three bourbons I tasted.

I wasn’t originally planning to visit the distillery during my weekend in Colorado. I was heading back to the hotel and thought, “Why not?” So, I gave them a call, and a young lady named Heidi answered. I couldn’t have been happier. Her calm and welcoming demeanor made me feel like I was already part of the family. The entire experience was fantastic. Heidi was incredibly knowledgeable, which really enhanced the visit. I also loved their traditional, down-to-earth approach. They’re not trying to create artificial hype or make it difficult for people to get a bottle. Instead, they focus on creating a homey, family-oriented atmosphere where word of mouth is their best advertisement. If you’re reading this, Heidi, thank you for the wonderful experience and the great atmosphere you’ve helped create. I’m sure the distillery is thriving. You’ve got a friend from Pennsylvania now, and you’ll always have a second home here if you ever decide to visit.

This place has THE BEST alcohol I've EVER tasted. All the cocktails are amazing ! The atmosphere is comfortable, clean and beautiful. Staff is amazing. I bought a few bottles of their alcohol, it's truly the best !

I went to pick up my “Love your neighbor” American single malt release. [Benefiting those affected by the Marshall Fire] It’s a nice tasting room and a great single malt.

My husband and I stopped by here take the tour and learn about whiskey making as well as try some awesome spirits and we were not disappointed! We had the privilege of meeting Alistair who was an absolute joy to chat with! If you are ever in Boulder, go check out boulder spirits!

Google
Great experience! Even better bourbon and single malts. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in for a flight and a bottle or two to go!

Extremely knowledgeable owner. Learned a great deal about whiskey distilling. Plus, who doesn't like a Scottish brogue?

Yelp
The best distilleries are hard to find, and this one is tucked back in an industrial area with a not very well marked tasting room, but it's worth the search! Just find a parking spot and look for the sign in the window, and prepare yourself for a delicious tasting of unique gin and whiskey. Our favorite spirit was the ginskey, a new world gin aged in whiskey barrels. If you're not a traditional gin fan, this is a great version to help you sip your toe into the gin pool. The bourbons and scotches were also quite yummy and unique. With an owner from Scotland, it's no wonder they know what they're doing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we left with a new outlook on what gin can taste like.

Yelp
Vapor Distillery, Home of Boulder Spirits, is a high quality distillery with a laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and amazing whisky & gin. I ordered two cocktails, both with gin, both amazing! The first gin I tried was the grapefruit and rose gin; it had a very subtle but unique flavor. I then tried the house gin, which was my favorite. My sister and her husband tried the whisky flight, which they were very impressed with. The bartender Heidi was the highlight of our visit. She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She patiently answered all of our many questions, and she even let me sample the Ginskey!

Yelp
So cool. Did the tour and tasting. Great guide and awesome to be able to try them! I'm going to have to look for Boulder whiskey back home in Houston. This is a must do / see / drink when in Boulder and a nice afternoon treat after hiking in the morning. Thanks guys! Fun and delicious. Oh and the front looks industrial and intimidating. We almost didn't go in. So glad we did.

Yelp
Yeah, no. Skip this place. Rude service the likes of which I've never experienced. Who thought going into a place during their normal business hours and asking for a tasting flight meant you were a complete moron?? Well, Justin at Vapor Distillery sure does and made my wife and I feel as such (after just leaving us to awkwardly stand around in their tiny tasting room first)! Seriously though, there are so many better distilleries in this area. Do yourself a favor and hit them up instead. Here's a list: Law's, Stranahan's, Old Elk, or Talnua. Skip these guys.

Yelp
Cool little distillery hidden in the middle of office buildings. The tasting room is a bit dark and could use some decorating improvement, but the cocktails are very good and creative. I especially liked the basil gimlet, and the Ginger Rodgers, made with their Boulder gin. You can also purchase bottles of their spirits. Don't expect to eat there though, there's only drinks on the menu, no food. Next time, I'll make sure to plan an extra 1/2 hour and take their tour.
google avatar

Yelp
A variety of spirits to taste, from clear spirits to those aged for a few years. The barrel aged whiskey's and the Bourbon where done well. While they were all unique my preference was the Bourbon after tasting six different spirits. They also offer local hand made small batch bitters for sale. They let us sample these when we asked. They offer a full bar with mixed drinks, but when I'm evaluating a new distillery I stay away of mixed drinks. A good bar tender can hide how bad spirits taste when they are mixed. As I've learned though experience.

Yelp
Vapor is a cool, little distillery cranking out some of the smoothest whiskey in Colorado to lace your palate. The atmosphere is definitely laid back and chill. If you find yourself in an adventurous mood and have a DD, I'd recommend trying the whiskey flight. They didn't hold back on the pour; the drinks are worth the price tag. All in all a neato, hidden gem and well worth visiting. Take the tour if you get a chance.

Yelp
I love this place! Vapor distillery is a little hidden, but worth the venture out to the east side of Boulder. Vapor not only has delicious cocktails, but free tours and tastings. Vapor distillery's main focus is whiskey and gin. Both of these are not my alcohol of choice, however one of my favorite cocktails is from Vapor (great gatsby) contains ginskey (gin with a whiskey finish). A huge shoutout to the bartenders because I would never order this by reading it off the menu and go figure, it ends up being one of my favorites! All of their cocktails I've tried are delicious and there's quite a variety depending on your tastebuds. Now the tour is very informative and there is a chance to sample up to 4 different products Vapor distillery makes at the end. Our tour guide was funny, honest, and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the sampling because it has opened my tastebuds to explore quality whiskey and gins. For example, the pink gin and the single malt American port cask whiskey are two I enjoyed; even as a vodka girl.

Yelp
I went to Boulder during a business trip and always try to go to local spots whenever I travel for work. There were a bunch of breweries around Boulder, but since I dont really drink beer, I decided to go to this distillery after I saw great reviews. From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcomed and felt like family. The drinks were amazing. I'm usually a whiskey girl, so I ended up buying a bottle of their rye. I then tried just a taste of ginskey and immediately had to buy a bottle although I do not drink gin at all. Some advice for the ginskey... dont smell it. It smells like rubbing alcohol, but I promise it is smooth. The coffee liquor is also amazing. In total, I ended up taking 3 bottles of liquor back home with me, and 1 bottle of flavored syrup. Amazing experience and will return for a tour if I ever have to go back to Boulder. Thank you Vapor Distillery.

Yelp
We stopped by while following the Colorado Spirits trail and boy was this place hopping even at 4 in the afternoon. A ton of people and very loud so for me that made me a bit meh but then quickly at the bar things turned around. After trying their Pumpkin king and the Coffee Liqueur ( WOW SO GOOD) we ordered an egg cream drink and honestly was not for either of us, the staff noticed that we did not drink much when we went to pay and insisted on making us another drink on the house that we both really enjoyed after talking to us for a bit about what we like and don't like. I would highly recommend trying this place if in the area and for me the bottle to take home would be the Coffee Liqueur its just incredible

Yelp
Vapor is pretty great. The Boulder Bourbon is fantastic and has found a place in my liquor cabinet. The tasting/drinking room has a cool look and a nice chill vibe to it. Highly recommended!

Yelp
TBH the first couple of times I went here (I work nearby) I wasn't impressed. Their vodka is fine, their gin is decent, and their bourbon was ok if not overly sweet. However I was talking to a bartender about this and he's like duh we specialize in American single malt whiskey, which is essentially the formula for scotch (except virgin oak barrels) but can't be called scotch since it's made in America. Their ASM whiskey is *excellent*. I have a special release bottle that was $25 with a tour that I can't tell the difference between that and this $120 bottle of Oban 18, hey call me a plebe. They also have a peated ASM whiskey that is pretty great too. They have a sherry cask release coming soon that I can't wait to get my hands on. 10/10 on the ASM whiskey. One other thing-- great tap room. Their cocktails are tasty, prices are reasonable, it's rarely crowded, and they have board games. I feel like they are well established and I hope that they continue to grow as a business and continue to impress.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of their whiskey over the holidays. I come from a southern, whiskey drinking family and I approve!

Yelp
My favorite distillery in Boulder by far! Hard to find the actual location (it's in the back of the building, just use your nose to smell it out!) but it's totally worth it. The interior bar area is really nice, and they have amazing cocktails. Also, Ted, the owner and distiller personally gives the tours at 4. He's really knowledgeable, and the tour was very informative. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place is awesome. The vibe is relaxed and casual, and the drinks are just fantastic. I recently tried the bourbon and walnut and I am obsessed. Bourbon, maple syrup, walnut bitters and orange - a play on an old fashioned and I think better. I didn't take a tour here but they do distill everything on site. The bourbon and vodka I tried were smooth and tasty. They also have live music during the week. The night I was there, they had 4 different song writers singing their own material which was really cool. I would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Robin E.

Yelp
The tour was great! It had a lot of information plus free tasting which is always a bonus. They serve Whiskey vodka and gin. Personally I am not a whiskey drinker but it definitely opened a couple taste buds. I am definitely open for tasting a couple more whiskey drinks in the future. The location is a little difficult to find but definitely worth going to!

Yelp
I did the tour here and loved it! The tasting were delicious and plan to buy this brand when I see it. Love the pumpkin, coffee, and their regular gin! Everything was so smooth. Highly recommend for the tour or just stopping in for a drink.

Yelp
This is a great little distillery tucked away in East Boulder. They have a fantastic selection of spirits, and the drinks are all delicious. The Ginskey, a unique and popular twist on traditional gin (it's gin aged in whiskey barrels), is a must-try. I'd recommend "All That Jazz" or "The Great Gatsby" to acquaint yourself with the Ginskey. They also make vodka, traditional gin, coffee liquor, and pumpkin cordial. The pumpkin cordial is so good you can just sip it by itself. Also, expert tip: buy a bottle, take it home, and pour it over some vanilla ice cream for the best dessert you will ever have. They have live music on some weeknights. Don't miss the bluegrass jam on Thursday nights starting at 6. All level players and listeners welcome!

Yelp
Our group hosted our holiday party at Vapor Distillery and everything was perfect. Megan & Alister, the owners, took care of every detail and were helpful, accommodating and welcoming. Brit and Jake the bartenders were fantastic and made a great drink. Vapor is the perfect neighborhood bar to stop by for a drink or as a venue for a party. Cheers!

Yelp
I want to like this place more, so badly! After trying it a couple of times, sadly I just can't get into Vapor. Positives first: Their drinks are pretty darn good and well priced. I enjoy their Great Gatsby and I don't even like gin! But it's delicious and I highly recommend it for something light and refreshing. Private parking! (Don't poo poo that if you've been to Pearl and tried to find parking). Their industrial area allows for great places to park. Convenient location for after work get togethers for people heading out of town (almost everyone) Nice staff that are always welcoming and knowledgeable about their product. This is not to be under appreciated because a good distillery staff does a great job of explaining the product. They don't go super into detail but clearly know their stuff! Negatives: Decor. There is a "distillery" theme that's pretty A+B=C. A well decorated distillery will add so much to the experience! The look of Vapor is as if they started doing a darn good job decorating behind the bar. Then all of a sudden the places seemed to morph into what I can only describe as a 90s strip club or outdated modern steak house. Sorry guys :( weird black and red stark leather booths with odd (and dirty) bar stools. None of it is congruent and not that welcoming. It takes what could be one Hell of a place, and makes it look kind of depressing. Please continue with the behind the bar decor throughout and it will look great!! Add onto that, bathrooms. Bear with me, whomever thought having the bathroom so close and facing the bar is out of their mind. Don't sit too close for fear of bad wafting..... otherwise it is so strong with Febreeze that I literally couldn't smell or taste anything other than tropical breeze for a while. This is a problem when trying to utilize my taste buds and olfactory sense to appreciate their yummy spirits!!!! I'm not sure if it was a construction or engineering fail, but it's bad to have the bathroom that close and visible to the entire bar. Pretty please update and revamp your inside and I'll probably be back. I want to support local and businesses like this all of the time! But Vapor misses the mark and there are so many amazing distilleries around, this one doesn't make my list of places to return. P.S. when I was there on Sunday the band there was horrid AND I look over and there are kids! This is obviously NOT a restaurant or anything but a bar. WTH are kids around the age of tenish through teens doing there? It was weird. There are other distilleries that are strictly bar/tasting and won't even let you stay there if you're underage. It gives off an odd vibe that there are kids.

Yelp
We did both the tour and tried some cocktails. The tour wasn't super fancy, but it was neat to see their entire operations. Their spirits on the other hand are where they really shine. I'm not a huge fan of gin, but theirs is toned down on the juniper so it's very smooth. But even better is their Ginskey that they age in oak barrels. It has a slight taste of gin, but really drinks like a whiskey. They're working on a bourbon but are still a couple years away, I'm excited to buy a bottle once it comes out. They have a very nice prohibition style bar. All of their drinks are hand crafted and they usually only have once bartender on, but they're quite good. I had a Manhattan made with their Ginskey, as well as their Cowboy Coffee. My favorite was the Cowboy Coffee. It's made half and half with the Ginskey and their Coffee Liquor (which was so good that I bought a bottle). I'll definitely start buying more of their stuff. If you're a pumpkin fan, they do a pumpkin cordial that tastes like you opened a can of pumpkin (actual pumpkin, not the pie stuff) and licked it right out of the can, that's how good they did on the flavor. Great place, definitely worth coming back by, and buying their spirits when you see them on the shelf.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem!! This distillery has an awesome ambiance and fantastic drinks. The Great Gatsby gin drink was cool and refreshing along with many other custom cocktails they offer. Great service and fun with a big group of people or an intimate date. Will most definitely return here!
google avatar

Yelp
Vapor, same amazing taste, new name & better cocktail prices :) also badass prohibition style off the radar spot!!!

Yelp
The tour was engaging and informative! Learned a lot about the distillery process and the people who work there are great!

Yelp
Time to celebrate Vapor Distillery BOURBON release. Music, food and of course booze of all types outside and a beautiful day in Boulder. I had not been here for a long while and the changes are remarkable. Definely worrh a visit!

Yelp
AWESOME! The Ginskey is a must have as well as the RHOK Gin. Great place for an after work drink, an eve out, or just to pick up a bottle for home.

Zach C.

Yelp
Justin gave an incredible tour. The tasting was great and the setting is amazing. 6/5 if I could!
google avatar

Brittany J.

Yelp
Ehhhh. Just okay. First off, the staff was not very friendly. The bar tender was kind of rude to me, he studied my ID like it was fake, even making me look up at him. The drinks were very potent and the flavors were just okay. Even ones that sounded that unique just ended up tasting like the spirit they were made of. Ginskey I wouldn't recommend it's a weird marriage of gin and whiskey, which I like both but didn't like this spirit. I'm a bit irritated that we wasted time here when there were several other options. I would not recommend this place or ever come back.
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
If your itching to try some different liquors this is your place. They have a great bartender ready to serve you and explain the different drinks and liquors.
google avatar

Denise K.

Yelp
Loved the tour and the drink selection and the Ginsky has an awesome flavor. I love that they are eco friendly and pesticide free!

Meyer G.

Yelp
Great tour given by main distiller (don't recall his exact title) very pleasant and patient! Answered all of our questions. Products were quite good and I highly recommend the tour and the various spirits!
google avatar

Rocky Mountain Mama A.

Yelp
I'm really surprised to see all the positive reviews. We've been to a handful of distilleries in Colorado and the spirits here were by far our least favorite. The tastings were just not great but I thought maybe they'd taste better in a cocktail but they were still meh. In our party of 4, none of us loved our drinks. We had planned to stay here for the night but left after one drink and went elsewhere. The staff was friendly, tour was just ok (guy wasn't that excited to give a tour), atmosphere is nice...spriits were very sterile/chemical tasting...
google avatar

Tagg R.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is top-notch and the drinks are very good. The bartender on the evening of 1/23/2016 was really nice and she took care to make our cocktails just the way we liked them. Be sure to have a look at the ceiling if you go.
google avatar

Kayla M.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Pumpkin liquor. De-li-cious! The tour is great, they let you sample all of the alcohol choices. Plus, their drink combinations are well put together. I also love that this is in a warehouse. Fun atmosphere.

Kristina R.

Yelp
Really liked this place. Staff was nice and down to earth, and I loved that their Boulder Born Whiskey, has a nice peaty, smokey flavor. They have a good Ginskey (barrel aged gin) which is different from a lot of other distilleries. They also do cocktails with craft bitters if your into that. You can taste the bitters separately if you want to purchase them to take home. But I think we will be back for the whiskey first and foremost....
google avatar

Melissa U.

Yelp
Hosted a party here and had an unforgettable experience! Wonderful staff, amazing drinks, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone to visit.

Phil J.

Yelp
They seem annoyed to have customers. Having a bar was clearly an afterthought to the distillery which is too bad because the gin is actually pretty good.
