Vaquera House

My husband and I stayed at Vaquera House for our ski trip and absolutely loved it. The hot tub with mountain views was the perfect way to unwind after skiing, and having the ski shuttle right on the corner made getting to the slopes so easy. The staff was amazing—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind—and the breakfasts were delicious every morning. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I stayed at Vaquera House in Colorado and absolutely loved it. The views are breathtaking, the hospitality truly makes you feel at home, and the hot tub overlooking the mountains is unforgettable. Breakfasts were wonderful, après-ski was cozy and fun, and ending the day by the open fire with s’mores was pure magic. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vaquero House. The balcony hot tub was lovely and the food was outstanding! We played pool, sat by the fire and enjoyed yummy drinks and appetizers in the evenings, followed by s’mores by the fire pit! Erinn made us feel so welcomed and relaxed. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere in town too. We highly recommend a vacation here!

I’ve need coming to the Rockies to ski yearly for over two decades and I can easily say Vaquero House was one the very best lodging experiences we had. The house is beautiful, well equipped, super clean, the room is comfortable with great quality cotton sheets and large towels, the amenities are abundant and high quality, just like it should be in a high quality hotel. But then, there is the part no branded hotel would have. A personal, warm, caring service. The staff treats you like you are the a guest of honor. Super accommodating (they make a special vegan menu for us for breakfast), you really feel like you are in your second home — with service, I’ll definetly stay there again — not only if I’m in Cresteed Butte but I may choose crested butte over other places I like such as Telluride just to stay at VH! Erinn the manager puts her soul in this place — and you can feel it.

Excellent staff, particularly Olivia, Jordan and Rachel. Well appointed and beautiful rooms. Delicious breakfasts and cocktails. Kudos to the chef! Great location in gorgeous Crested Butte. We walked to shop and dine and drove short distances to some of the most amazing hikes we’ve taken. We will eagerly return to Vaquera House - maybe as soon as next month!

Vaquera House exceeded our expectations, a true gem in CB. The staff (Jordan & Hope were fantastic), quality furnishings, attention to detail, comfortable bed, excellent shower and incredible breakfast, made for a superior stay. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping and a short drive to Kebler Pass which you should not miss to experience the beauty of this drive. If you enjoy great accommodations, this is the place for you.

We had an amazing time at Vaquera house! My wife is obsessed with clean places to stay and she couldn’t stop saying how impressed she was with this establishment. Also, a big shout out to the general manager, Hope, who was extremely kind and took the time to walk through a number of hiking options with us. (we live in Colorado, but these were hands down some of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever been on.) Add in that it’s easy walking distance downtown and we will 100% be back!

Vaquera House was amazing! The rooms are modern, beautiful and super comfortable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely a five-star stay and I’d love to come back.
